Finished the 6.55 MSQ so here's my (very positive) thoughts:
‌Love love LOVE Wuk Lamat she's so fun and her dynamic with Erenville is hilarious. Very excited to see more of her in Dawntrail.
‌Krile is already getting some nice scenes and I'm very happy she's finally gonna get the spotlight in dt. My girls been side-lined for 4 expacs it's about damn time she gets to shine.
‌The inventor of Pictomancy is literally Relm. Like they name drop her. Obv not the same Relm as in VI but still! Relm is real! And she was an Archon! tbh them naming an important character related to this type of magic after her isn't surprising- I just expected it to be something in the job quests rather than the MSQ.
‌Zero made super-spicy dishes popular in Thavnair lol. Wuk Lamat trying to toughen it out was hilarious. God I love her.
‌Wuk Lamat & Erenville being childhood friends was not something I expected! Very fun.
‌The catboy from the dawntrail promotional artwork is probably Wuk Lamat's brother, Koana(Was that his name? tbh I forgot. But she has a Miqo brother that's what's important). He looks smart, and it's possible he's gonna be another candidate claiming for the throne.
‌Based on the artwork, I had figured our main group was gonna be WoL, Krile, Thancred and Urianger, as they are the only Scions featured, but based on the quest it'll probably be Wol, Krile, Alphinaud and Alisaie. G'raha is allegedly staying behind, but since he's shown in Tural in the trailer I think he'll find an excuse to come along anyway lol.
‌Thancred and Urianger are going to be competing against us, which will be interesting. I think it'll be fun to see some of the Scions take on a more rival-y role, if only for a bit. It looks like they were petitioned by someone else participating in the Rite of Succession, so maybe they're working for Miqo boy? They're on his side of the artwork after all 🤔
‌(Also I think the writers know how popular those two have gotten together lol they're like making it a point to have them with each other at all times)
‌Estinien is going to Tural just for the hell of it which I think is hilariously in character. Literally going there at the same time as us purely by coincidence. He really can't escape us can he.
‌Y'shtola is neither seen nor heard of which tbh I think is fair given how much screentime and focus she got during the whole Zero arc. I do wonder why she's going to Tural tho, she's in the trailer too so I'm certain she will be there.
‌(Also, since G'raha, Estinien and Y'shtola aren't aligned with any particular side as of now, I think they'll be a neutral third party in the Succession rivalries going on. That, or they'll end up siding with the 3rd sibling that isn't the Obvious Villain (based on Wuk Lamat and Erenville's accounts) somehow. Will be fun to see in any case.)
‌The little memory dialogue from Emet was nice :) just a reminder of the adventures yet to be had. Also he's finally in the unending codex which I think is nice (ngl I kinda forgot about the codex until he got added to it)
ALSO I almost forgot to include it BUT we have a nice heart-to-heart scene with G'raha alone on a bridge and if the writers weren't COWARDS (and/or worried about romance ambiguity, at least for those relating to the WoL) he could've proposed to us then and there. You know he wants you. Do not hold him back writers let him do what he wants. (I'd have said yes ofc)
‌Backpack :)

Post ARR Journal 10: Of Sylphs and Pictomancy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've explained before but Voyce was the one in the chocobo costume, not me. I don't think the masks even fit Hrothgar faces. But he and I did work together to make sure that the chosen Sylph made it back to little Solace. I hope things over there calm down for Elder Frixio and that Voyce at least gets half a clue instead of continuing to bumble on. Those were all in the reports I forwarded to the Twin Adder. Something I had to do today. Partially also so I could clear some space on my Tomestone.
It was during working on this long backlog of reports I got a call from my dearest telling me to meet her in our usual spot. I was terrified, this surely meant that she was going to dump me. That she found someone else to love like some Au'ra or a Miqo'te. Still I had to go see her. I found her in our usual meeting place dressed up in an art smock that looked like it was...fused with a casters outfit.
She then explained to me that she'd been working in secret to develop this brand new class of caster based on painting magic. She calls it Pictomancy. She showed me some of her basic spells that she's created but it's still in the testing phases. I just hugged her and told her that I fully support her efforts and that I couldn't wait to see how it turns out and to not hesitate to ask me for help if she needs it. I was just relieved that she wasn't going to dump me.

Some extra about my OC’s so I’m on track with organization and such:
Demi:
Lives in an apartment with his best friend who pops in time to time to help him on, both are going through their own things, but don’t hesitate to help each other out. @beowulf-fang-fist‘s OC Olliver happens to be this roommate/bestie!
Demi is interested in tattoos, but because he has never gotten one, he likes Henna a lot more since it’s temporary and allows him to change it if he doesn’t like the outcome
Has a scar from slashes he had when fighting off rouge demons, or, so he says...
Can become a werewolf if he so chose from spells he learned as well as wearing the pelt of the dead wolf that he had befriended. He claims that being one is like “being renewed and together in one furry package.”
While he’s a stripper, Demi’s demure attitude and more “professionalism” makes him very popular in the clubs: The “don’t speak, show” attitude he goes about things leaves most patrons to imagination of his real personality.
When Demi dances, he loses his ambitions and becomes a completely different person.
Demi wants to emulate Sailor moon and other characters he’s seen through finding manga that’s been tossed down into the Underground, but it’s mainly one off mangas / episodes on tapes that he sees that he models a lot of his actions to. You won’t notice though, his cheerfulness and positivity knows no bounds anyhow.
Demi does have a pure demon form, however, he doesn't have much control over it and doesn’t know how to bring it out aside from what’s called a “Trance” where his emotions push him over the edge and forces him to become a full incubus in order to “preserve himself”
If Demi wants to, he can mimic other demons and such through spells and contracts, for example: With ifrit, Demi’s horns become more similar to the beast of flame and he becomes much more beastial. With Parvati Demi is himself, but, the two wear matching outfits in order to perform a dance together OR the two ravage whomever is in front of them with two tridents or “trishulas” in Hindi.
Demi has a knack for picking people out with his observations that come off both innocent though much more sharper, but he chalks it up to being a people person
He has a tramp stamp (TB-Drawn, I need ideas / inspirations but thinking of having a star / heart)
Blowjob Lips™
Works as a stripper, an on and off model / fitness shop clerk, and at times Ifrit’s personal assistant when need be. He has many jobs, but, he somehow finds a way to do it all without much thought.
Has the ability to Pictomance, meaning if he draws on himself, the henna will be able to be manipulated to bring out actual spells from it, as well as make magic through his own art. Demi’s more of a henna enthusiast though, but his art is something he holds to himself.
His tarot card is the Fool arcana Fimbulvetr:
Despite being a forest guardian, he looks at himself like a soldier who survived a war and is the only who one has come back. Most of his birth and his “future” frightens him and makes him to cling to affection believing that he won’t get that the next day.
His mastery over the spear is amazing but, Fimb is much more like a fencer the way he uses Gungnir. He wants to use a rapier one day, but thinks it’s best to use the tools he was given.
Despite being a great warrior / strong person in general, Fimb suffers still from bad self esteem that makes him push himself harder to be the best: When he doesn’t realize he’s fine the way he is, demon infested or not.
Nordic names / old English comes second nature to him, though he’s still learning to read “modern” languages, Fimb has a distinct knack for being able to read runes and see them appear in places near nonsensical without much knowledge as to why.
Likes having his hair brushed, but always is conscious about his hair length, if it’s too long, maybe he should cut it...
While Fimb gives nicknames to everyone he meets, they are very few who are called by name in his book: Be wary, there’s a REASON he does so, whether he doesn’t like them or because he shows them true respect (In which he will always refer to them as “Sir” or “Ma’am”.)
Once thought Demi was some outlandish prince so had to break out of the habit of calling him “Milord”
While he loves that Demi reads him stories and tomes he has, Fimb’s favorite story is the “wizard of oz” because he personally sees himself as the Scarecrow of the story.
Oddly despite being so young in terms of chronological years, Fimb has an amazing span of memory / understanding of history and myths as it stands, so much so Demi and him have debates on the purpose of the Aesir and the fall of Babylon.
Can whisper and talk to the trees by placing his hand on them, when hunting this becomes a valuable asset as he can track others through the “trees’ eyes”
Gungnir can pierce and expel demons / heal if Fimb chooses, however, Gungnir is rumored to have it’s own conscience that Fimb can speak to, and Fimb alone.
As his hat is also “alive” due to being possessed by a demon that came out of Fimb’s eyepatch when he made the mistake of opening it, it has stuck with him since despite badmouthing that he will “leave and cause chaos” because it knows that if he tries to, Fimb can easily destroy him. He now takes the form of a sense of a “guide” to Fimb similar to how Morgana from P5 follows the protagonist and makes their own assumptions or observations.
His arcana is considered the Hierophant
Parvati:
While she’s a powerful goddess and mother in her own right, Parvati suffers from the worry that she’s not “needed” in the world and she’ll fade away like “the other pantheons” because while she is inherent as “Shakti” (Female energy of the universe that manifests in creation and other aspects in life alongside the male counterpart as Bhraman), Parvati as an identity can “fade” if people do not believe in her, just like other “gods”. Belief is power, and without it, she has none.
Parvati comes across similar to Saeko / Ms. Smith from Persona 1 as well as Aradia from Nocturne: Without her power, Parvati is without any way to protect or help others, she can only provide hope. However, it is this hope that may actually spur others to action, and Parvati looks at this as her special skill. A mother may know best, but a friend can be the difference between a war and peace.
Wistfully thinks of her husband Shiva, and won’t say where he “is”. It’s assumed that because Demi has Parvati “connected to him” and has lost all of his memories, Parvati’s left with a fragmented space to be in since her contract stipulates that she will always be with him, but is meant to be with her husband as well. As Demi doesn’t know Shiva, she cannot return to him. This is one of the reasons she plots to steer Demi to “becoming himself again” in order to go back to what things were before
She has danced / taught Demi holy dances in order to better protect himself as well as shown him how to summon demons in the form of allowing her to call her via a dance or by burning seals. Demi is able to calm beasts and other creatures through his dances, but depending on the dance, also changes the outcome of the dance he performs: I.E: A simple routine can bring forth fire or even heal, but an actual routine can cleanse and expel demons. This process takes a lot out of Demi depending on the intensity but he’s been known to go into what’s called a “Trance” and immediately shift into an actual demon and perform a dance that can completely demolish things in his way. (Parvati herself is able to do this, though depending on her emotions / intensity she can become Durga or Kali like in the legends of her backstory. Kali being a terrifying goddess who wears the skulls of her enemies as a garland and a skirt of arms while Durga is the embodiment of Parvati’s righteous anger. Both are extremely powerful but she loses all thought as Kali)
Ideally she tries to help Demi with his boy problems, but, she’s more so the type of parent who asks, “So, do you think he’ll make a good husband? I want you happy!” But she means well, she also makes sure to ask Demi for his boundaries now that he’s far more vulnerable than how he was before.
She’s VERY much like Starfire from Teen Titans, the Hindu traditions she participates in is something she takes very seriously, however sometimes the practices seems very outlandish to Demi as... Well... A boy’s gotta eat meat to get the beef and Parvati is known to fast the most out of all the deities because she is a goddess of the family, marriage, and orphans. The fasting is meant to bring forth good fortune, and tries to put this on Demi who she sees as her son, but we all know Demi’s habit of having meat everywhere.
Her Arcana is considered the High Priestess Persephone:
Her “appearance” is never the same, and I look at her like Rupaul / a drag queen who consistently pulls off so many looks that you simply cannot leave her in one specific portrait or outfit.
Because she is a trans woman, her development is more so towards “This is who I am, and I love every minute of it.” and she’s meant to invoke that in her walks, her way of dress, her attitude and her ideals
She is professional with Demi, as he’s her best dancer, but, she sometimes overworks him under the basis of his “work” of weeding out rogue demons and saving humans in the Underground is work for the benefit of the entire District.
Persephone is the queen of the underworld in that Hades is her husband and while this IS true, and she doesn’t deny or agree that she IS the real Persephone; She has gemstones upon gemstones that demons under her power wear them on their person. Demi wears an opal choker to “bring out” his true form, which Persephone knows would transform him into a demon, but WHAT demon, she didn’t know.
“Good and evil are concepts in the way that men whose hearts are not strong enough must argue. We all know what is good and evil in our hearts, and those change over time and in our ideals. Think about who you are, as a person, before attempting to label others.”
Despite being someone so reserved and so... “Mysterious”, Persephone is meant to drag on the question of “Who is the person you want to portray yourself as?” And I think her character is the best way to do so, the way she interferes with Demon’s ploys but all for the sake of the District, she may come across as unfeeling or rather more uptight, but she knows well and means well after living so long
Hades stole her away when she was being abused by her father and allowed her to “be herself” in the Underground. She doesn’t talk about the events, but, Hades wears white gloves in order to respect her boundaries on touching and reclines as her “shadow.” Hades himself is more akin to her “servant” and has passed on leadership of the District to her in his stead many years ago.
Her favorite accessories are long nails and she enjoys spas/manicures and other beautification past times
She personally oversees her club and makes sure her workers are well cared for as well as given a chance to use their talents to the fullest (I.E, her way of saying “Do what you like, but the minute you hoe it up it better be away from my club.”)
Her club is named La Pomme de Grenade, bonus points if you learn the translation, but, she’s very big on the club itself, sometimes singing blues while Hades plays the piano. Her songs have stricken the hearts of demons and beasts, leaving them weeping as she belts out a tune that sings to the soul.
Her arcana is the Empress
Ifrit:
He has taken up residence in a penthouse that Demi frequently visits to maintain their “contract”
It’s rumored that when he was once a warrior, a certain summoner he knew died due to his carelessness as a beast. It’s unknown why, but he feels a familiarity towards Demi and unfortunately, places this same overprotectiveness on him to make up for the mistake he had long ago.
He doesn’t know how to deal with the loss he had had, and so attempts to use Demi to fill the guilt in him, if he protects and serves Demi, then he is fixing the mistake he had.
Tries very hard to change/control the environment he is in, but doesn't realize this may hurt others, and I want this to be a big dynamic with Demi, while Demi is his summoner / he’s his sugar daddy, Ifrit tries much too hard to make things “better” for Demi and his own demons under him. This gets him much respect from the denizens working under him, as well as fear from his enemies as a pseudo mafia boss.
He enjoys the idea of being a “King” and if you were to call him “My liege” or “Sir” you get +3 affection / kink
+3 affection / kink if you have the balls to try and be dominant with him.
Money and business are now his game, and when it comes down to it, he will show up to facilitate deals. If such is the case, broken knees and body parts are common, as he sees it as a way to train.
Ifrit is a complex character that brings out the sexualized aspect of Demi, in terms of being his sugar daddy and part of his demonic contract is that Demi is to give him affection / intimacy / attention and Ifrit will grant him power, money, and well, whatever he’d like to eat afterwards.
Thiddies out™ was a look made by him.
Someone really asked to see Ifrit break their head / melon with his thighs and canonically now Ifrit can do that, his kink though is displaying strength so you’re only making him stronger y’all
“Nuh-uh, I don’t have a death wish.” “But you can handle it! Yes it’s much bigger than--” “I’m not ready to die today Ifrit.” “What if I sit--” “You’re trying to kill me, I don’t even have life insurance.”
If you ever need to know about what Ifrit wears to his “private” gym, know that it’s one of those 80′s shorts that gives you the perfect shot of that fire elemental ass and boots. He likes the idea of being “prepared” to fight with little to wear just like when he squares up when summoned.
Once nearly spent a fortune to buy a vintage Digigar game to play on console. Demi had to hear what Digigar evolutions many digigars had for an entire month.
When he first met Demi, he whispered huskily in his ear for a private dance and after taking him home, Demi found himself treated out to breakfast in bed by servants at hand and foot. It was this event that spurred Ifrit to create a contract when he realized how much Demi “needed to be cared for”. (In reality, Demi isn’t used to such treatment, so when he comes to ifrit thanking him repeatedly, it simply makes Ifrit’s ego bolster into the idea that he’s taking care of him.)
“Call me... Daddy, my little prince.” “Is that all? I thought you were gonna tell me not to call you Big Guy.”
Wants Demi to be exclusive with him, but, in terms of having a job with him and him alone: He can’t, however, because of Persephone having right over him as Demi’s “boss”.
Grab his horns and suddenly you’ll have a more intoxicated and energized Ifrit on your hands. He’s truly the ride or die of your life if you try him.
When ifrit is summoned, his clothes are burned off and his beard grows on fire. The design is similar to the retro final fantasy Ifrit, but rather, Ifrit’s taste in clothing still has him in very skimpy outfits to retain SOME modesty rather than none.
Grappler Dad™
“Come at me, with your full strength if you dare!” “It was funny the last 7 times but now you need to turn yourself around so I can come.” “Oh...” “..Fine. FIE, MILORD, I AM READY TO BE TESTED.”
He’s a soft man please don’t hurt him he already has to worry about his summoner being a stripper / witch like he doesn’t need more issues at this point lmfao
The type to softly rub his thumb over your mouth and call you beautiful as he probably raws the fuck out of you like this is how I Stan my man.
He has tired eyes from so many things he had to do and witness, but the minute his eyes go sharp, your life is going to be obliterated.
Has bought Demi things to wear, but, gets flustered at the idea of wearing similar things in his own right.
Was once given the opportunity to strip in the club for once, but the idea was simply Persephone musing out of jest with “an old friend”
Likes to trace Demi’s henna with his fingers
He’s very dominating, liking to be hands on and very very husky in his words and word choice
While he’s a goofball and soft, he’s still very much a sharp and disciplined individual who simply wants to be validated for doing his best and give love to people to make up for the love he feels he didn’t deserve.
Scruff his beard and he groWS STRONGER HEED THE WARNING SHEEPLE.
His arcana is the Emperor
Venus:
She doesn’t like sweets, but does love ice cream and will try her best to eat some everyday (”I eat ice cream whenever I feel like I wanna treat myself!” “You eat it everyday” *Eats ice cream gawking at the person*)
Based off a cousin who was mocked for her weight, Venus is the epitome of beauty and show business, and is currently on the DL to making her comeback
Demi inspired her to comeback after living in a life of boredom and excess believing that the business stole her creativity and she personally covers for him like a mother hen, though, he’s still pretty star struck his favorite celebrity speaks to him so casually
She doesn’t openly display “magic” rather, her songs and singing are the key to her siren like call. She’s still pretty upset about how music has “changed” so far and wishes the new idols would get some sensibility in their songs and dances.
The “Birth of Venus” was her greatest song and a ballad for the lost woman above ground who somehow made her way to the place where the demons cherished her when the humans reviled her.
When waking up in the morning, she looks in the mirror and struts for good luck.
Thinks of having a talk show to spill the tea and the gossip on the regular... but, can’t help but feel most of the celebrities are fake people with nothing interesting about them besides sex appeal in Eros.
Can incite others with passionate speeches about love and life
“Baby baby don’t you cry, tomorrow’s gonna be a better day...”
She’s best described as someone who KNOWS she was fake before, in her smile, in her actions, and she’s now renewed to find purpose and meaning in her life, through Demi’s interaction with her while incognito
She was forced to choose a lifestyle / major in highschool she didn’t like, and then was going to be forced into a marriage with a man who did not love her that ended up causing her to stumble into the Underground with a mysterious train ride.
She’s probably one of the few humans to ever survive being in the underground without fading away and turning into a wisp of a soul to be eaten by demons; at this point she doesn’t think she’s still human, but now she’s Venus, once more reborn
Likes to lay in bed thinking about what to do tomorrow, but can’t help but want to just stay in retirement and relax as much as she liked
You couldn't go past a newsstand without seeing Venus’ beach catalog with her pictures on the front cover
Entire District is here for her performance
“BODY LIKE WOW, PUSSY ABOUT TO END THIS DROUGHT.”
“Newsflash, asshat, I’ve never liked fat phobia, I love my body big or small.”
Has squared up with Ifrit despite knowing he’s Demi’s sugar daddy, the two have a... “special” relationship in that they would never work together unless the situation calls for it. An intense situation.  Venus straight up would square up with Ifrit on a random whim like people don’t realize beyond the public eye they’re not on the best terms. The reason being Ifrit doesn’t take her seriously and
Her special “magical skill” is called Love Handles, a song that refreshes and reminds people they’ll be alright in the end, even after the worst things happened.
“Don’t just trust someone else because they were in power, we can learn things and do things without the need of others handing it to us! Fight! Strive for the things you worked so hard for in life and take it!”
She advises people on love and other areas of life with her social media pages and blogs!
If you know media, you know Venus, no excuses.
EDNA MODE IS HER GREATEST INVENTION
Her arcana is Temperance

Some stuff about Demi: Part 2
Here we are! Part 2!
Demi is left without any memories of his previous life, and as such, takes on Demitri as his “stage name” with Demi being his calling name.
The Original Demi™ is a man much more the polar opposite to his counterpart. Whereas Demi is sometimes naive as a child, the “true” Demi is cold and calculating, where Demi is optimistic and cheerful while still being an incubus, the other is more tired with life and seeks out only luxury for himself.
This same other Demi is believed to have arisen from the paradox of Demi becoming an incubus as he is today, that counterpart being the humanity Demi has left trying to stay as the dominant existence.
It is discovered that the other Demi was once a demon summoner, and had multiple demons under his charge. One such being is Parvati of Hindu myth, who comes to Demi and comes to believe that he was forcibly changed against his will. (Demi confirms however he chose who he is now, much to her chagrin.)
Becoming one of the main figures who knew what “her child was like” before Demi was found, Parvati decides to stay by his side as his maternal figure, being summoned from Mt. Kailash whenever need be. When first met, she easily cuts down a multitude of demon thugs who were at first enjoying a dance session before Demi and the other dancers intervene.
Demi doesn’t know who Parvati “is” to the past him, but resolves to find some way to allow her to meet “her son” again.
What Parvati does not reveal is, doing so would erase Demi’s existence, and then give the previous identity the powers of an incubus. She dodges this question many times when asked, “So, what was Demi like before?”
If anything, Demi is a figment of imagination in the paradox of Persephone altering his original fate.
Demi can also summon Baphomet, a pixie, Lilith (who later claims to be a “friend” of Persephone), and a pack of wolves who he had learned the ways of from time away from the District
Demi explores the District many times, bringing the ire of Persephone, and many others who continually remind him not to try and leave, and yet, is able to slip through the District’s barrier to a forgotten forest.
This forest later becomes important as it leads to a sanctuary where a single lone wolf resides. Initially, Demi believes this place to be nothing but imagination, but soon bonds with the wolf that lives within the forest.
This same wolf later gives up its life, and Demi takes its pelt as a hood to keep memory of the only other “friend” he has within the District. He’s extremely touchy on this subject, as this was considered his first familiar, though, the wolf later comes back as a familiar in spirit he can later call on.
Demi works not just in Persephone’s club, he can also be found working a day job at a fitness shop on the more… “shadier” side of town. This side job lead him to become somewhat of an item amongst the public, as his behavior and personality, though very exotic for the District, is a remarkable trait in accordance to his status of being an Incubus.
Is also considered a fitness model despite not truly understanding what a model is supposed to do. (”Er, pardon me, but are we supposed to wear such skimpy underwear...? For the references...? Ah, I see...”)
While being a demon, Demi has some mastery over the magic he studies in his grimoire, as well as preference to “fire” affiliated spells and usages. Naturally, he also can charm and disorient those he chooses, and can even “amplify” certain feelings in someone should the need be. (Very rarely done by choice.)
Demi is known for making henna tattoos to create spells from the sigils and symbols on his body. (I.E, A bloody eye can foretell the future, but also what could go very wrong; A sword can conjure one from the air into his grip and so on.)
He can also control others and even change them through painting or drawing their portrait, effectively making him feared through his unconventional pictomancy.
Demi is haunted by nightmares of his previous self, and though he works under Persephone and respects her, he does not trust her like the “other” Demi warns him.
There are Gods in the Districts, many of them are in hiding after being eternally damned into what one can call, Purgatory, others have risen up to own the Districts. Demi constantly dreams of others using him as a God Slayer so as to control the entire Underground for selfish reasons.
Demi has imbued a piece of his best friend’s hair into a voodoo like teddy bear so as to sleep better. This gives him the feeling of sleeping near someone and soothes many of his nightmares. Olliver notes this as Demi’s craving for affection unlike other Incubi.
Demi’s ex left him in terms of how little Demi speaks of them. He wishes them the best, but also is extremely jealous that they have also found happiness rapidly after their breakup. (they become part of the wealthy public after marrying a notable demon and supposedly living in luxury.)
Demi’s self worth fluctuates, but is still stable now due to the things he has faced to this day. However, he craves attention and affection from those around him, due to feeling he is not worth love until he understands its true meaning.
Constantly deals with feelings of emptiness and loneliness, so, speaks to himself so as not feel as alone. This has also branched into him taking Photography as a hobby, as well as making videos about “relaxing” rain drops or about a hellhound he saw on the street and he brushed its fur.
When speaking to himself, he undergoes a trance like state in which he doesn’t focus on anything else but the task at hand, it can be both a blessing and a curse when that comes to simply reading or gushing about how he liked someone he saw.

So, here’s the low down on the established lore so far in regards to my OC and the universe I’m working on. (As well as details of potential plot points I’m experimenting on and wouldn't mind any constructive criticism or valid points on them as well as nothing is as of yet, concreted besides core plot lines.)
What is known so far:
Demi is the OC I work on, he’s originally a human being who took a mysterious train from Manhattan late at night one day and wound up in The Underground.
The Underground is an umbrella term of the numerous Districts literally under the cities of “men” in which monsters, demons, gods and their fallen counterparts and other beings live and fester in.
There are at least 6 known Districts: Eros, Wrathia, Scorn, Thostle, Grotten, and Avarice
A 7th District exists, known solely as “Lux”. At this time, it is unknown what “lies” in Lux, besides local rumors that forgotten gods live in splendor and pomp.
Humans cannot live in the Districts as it is not their “domain” and will lose their identity and being slowly until nothing remains but a whispering will-o-wisp so to speak
Demi can be considered a special case, he was drawn to the Underground by an unknown cause, lost all sort of “identity” to his old persona (Identification, etc) and stumbled into Eros.
Eros, is ruled by the sin of Lust, and coincidentally, “ruled” by Persephone and Hades, a strip club / lounge owner couple who take in Demi as their dancer
The Districts are barred by an intense power, one cannot leave or enter without a higher being’s request or effort. As such, these things, though rare, are in effect... Concrete trapping demons and other fell beings within the chosen District.
Because Persephone rules the District as the de facto leader (She’s a lot more liberal than other demons / gods that run the Districts. Being Hades’ wife has its perks)
Persephone is not actually a goddess, rather, implied to be a human, who was kidnapped by Hades from her father who sexually abused her. She has issues with sexual / intimate contact after the traumatic event, but Hades understands completely and has done his best to be very gentle on her trauma and frequently goes out his way to make her comfortable. Originally, he ruled the Districts until he grew “weak” and passed over control to those who took the power for themselves and gave Persephone control of Eros.
The Gods (unknown which for now) control the weather, the people, the lifestyle, and their followers reap from the benefits.
Hades retires as a shadow-morphing-through-walls, well dressed dapper man who wears pristine white gloves to acknowledge his pledge of love to Persephone.
Many speculate Persephone does not truly love Hades, but deep down, she does with all her heart, and though she does not actively take part in the intimate workings of her District, she as its ruler nurtures the public as her own children and finds sex a “beautiful exposure of those who take part, be it lovemaking or simple words of nectar.”
It was Persephone who transformed Demi into what he is now, allowing him to continue living as an Incubus due to the choice he made. (She bestowed upon him, a special jewel with the power of unlocking hidden potential. This later becomes Demi’s choker that signifies him as a member of Persephone’s “court” so to speak.) He then became an Incubus due to accepting the “District’s influence”. (It’s said the jewel Demi wears is actually crystallized demon essence Persephone personally uses for her court to keep power in line.)
It’s said demons like Lucifer hide out in the city, while monsters of unparalleled appearances creep and lurk in the cover of darkness, the city hoisted by an ocean of murkiness and forebode.
TID BIT: Being a demon, Demi can be summoned using the right materials
Parvati claims she is Demi’s mother, as Goddess of Orphans and Love.
Olliver and Demi own a hummer they dubbed “Turtle Dove”
Regardless, Demi is left without any memories of his previous life, and as such, takes on Demitri as his “stage name” with Demi being his calling name.
He is given to Olliver, @red-prince-sidon ‘s OC who rooms with him in an apartment they both share, courtesy of Persephone’s “grace”. The two quickly become inseparable to this day, despite Olliver going back and forth through dimensions as a dimensional traveler
Olliver knows about Persephone more than Demi does, of course, but does not talk about her for his sake.
Demi explores the District many times, bringing the ire of Olliver, Persephone, and many others who continually remind him not to try and leave, and yet, is able to slip through the District’s barrier to a forgotten forest.
Demi works not just in Persephone’s club, he can also be found working a day job at a fitness shop on the more... “shadier” side of town. This side job lead him to become somewhat of an item amongst the public, as his behavior and personality, though very exotic for the District, is a remarkable trait in accordance to his status of being an Incubus.
He can also control others and even change them through painting or drawing their portrait, effectively making him feared through his unconventional pictomancy
Demi is haunted by nightmares of his previous self, and though he works under Persephone and respects her, he does not trust her
There are Gods in the Districts, many of them are in hiding after being eternally damned into what one can call, Purgatory, others have risen up to own the Districts. Demi constantly dreams of others using him as a God Slayer so as to control the entire Underground for selfish reasons.
Demi has imbued a piece of Olliver’s hair into a voodoo like teddy bear so as to sleep better.
However, he craves attention and affection from those around him, due to feeling he is not worth the love of his friends and allies.
Constantly deals with feelings of emptiness and loneliness, so, speaks to himself so as not feel as alone. This has also branched into him taking Photography as a hobby, as well as making videos about “relaxing” rain drops or about a hellhound he saw on the street and he brushed its fur.
Now, for the subjective content I have, besides other canon stuff to think on, are open to criticism and ideas! Many are not set in stone as such, so, here’s what I have on mind:
One character is formed from the dying wish of a little girl to “live” and ironically is sent to Eros. Demi falls in love with this very character, but, from what arises from this is not known besides that they are ostracized for not being amongst demon kind / other being. Rather, they are, if anything, human thought brought to life. (A “human” to the eyes of the public.)
Humans are able to form “reasons” and logical or abstract philosophies that allow them to exist as a form of identity.
To demon kind and fell gods, this alone stems a lot of jealousy, they are intangible desires given form that can only be “felt” by others on the same wavelength (can interact with humans at times based on their power) while humans are tangible beings able to overthrow gods by rejecting them or building them up with faith.
There are people looking for Demi™, as the one thing they know of his original form is that he wears his signature flannel and sometimes suspenders. The Demi in the Underground however, does not recognize them and so, doesn't interact with them.
Demi was once forcibly summoned by a warlock who went rogue in the deeper parts of the city and was nearly forced into slavery until the same man touched his choker. The jewel reduced the summoner to bone and dust and Demi fled into the world, taking with him the summoner’s grimoire as his own and updating it to his own preference for “good”.
A sorceress who controls the cyberspace blogs of “Grumblr” initially saps and takes demon essence of the literal hell site. Originally seeing Demi as a potential life force well she could always use, she captures him through absorbing his data from his online grimoire and tries to craft him into her makeshift familiar “chimera”. This would effectively render her invincible, as should she be killed, the chimera, whatever “host” it absorbed, would eventually become another Sorceress. This fails, as Demi instead absorbs the Chimera into himself and learns transmutation by pretending to learn under the Sorceress’ teachings to become her successor. When on the verge of being deleted from the Underground, she tries to resurrect herself through Demi, Demi instead seals her within his digital grimoire as an actual living “processor”. Now an ample base of demonic and spiritual knowledge, Demi becomes a full fledged witch through her own work and combining with his own wilder practices. A stoic hint is given through the processing message however. “Should a wish be granted to man, humanity alone may stand a chance against the higher.”
Demi is able to shift into a Satyr-like form after forming a contract with Baphomet. He meets the demon through attempting to research the Forbidden library, and is accepted as his student, but offers some of his humanity in return. This becomes one of the root causes for his perpetual nightmares that can only be soothed by Olliver’s help.
Persephone does not reveal she wishes to actually use Demi as her God slayer and in a twist of fate, uses him as a pawn to destroy the other fallen gods so as to “free” the Underground. Whether she does this for the good of her people, or herself, is not yet known.
Lilith was the first actual contracted demon Demi comes into contact with, and consequently, gifts him her name as his surname (Demi Lillith) as well as her sigil to identify him as her “child” (as she is depicted as mother to all incubi and succubi). This also conflicts with Parvati and Persephone for their own reasons. Lilith seeks revenge on Persephone for “stealing” her chance at taking Eros for herself. Lilith is at odds with Parvati because Parvati, and before, Sati and Kali, were once regarded as another reiteration of her until eventually, Parvati was formed on her own accord. Lilith seeks to use Demi for her own personal gain by drawing Demi into her “love” so that he feels he can see her as a mother as he does Parvati. This way, should he do so, Lilith will manipulate him into becoming a god by slaying the other gods in the Districts and eventually, making way into the human world so as to bring her back to Eden and find the reincarnation of Adam to be his wife.
Adam, the incarnation of the first man, is a warrior of God wandering the Districts looking to slay Demi for being branded by Lilith, hoping to finally sever all ties with her. Accompanied with him, is Beth, a woman of unknown origin told to be the incarnation of Eve and Adam’s lover, though she later does not love him and Adam does not truly love her. The two are later separated while Adam destroyed demons in his wake and Beth finds herself in the company of Demi, who allows her to stay with him until she finds her way back. She tries to kill him, for Adam’s sake, but cannot after finding that while many demons in the District are sinful desires of humans formed by conscious thoughts, Demi proved that there are demons who can live in peace with humans as he tried with her. She takes off later on, but leaves her cloak when she realizes Demi would be hurt knowing she would have “abandoned him”. Demi is lead to believe somewhere out there, Beth is still alive and hopefully happy, but she truly does not know where God is in the Underground, or where Adam could be.
Lemme know what you guys think! I’d love to hear anything you got in mind! The canon right now is pretty shifty, but the concrete stuff is just the basis and character traits.
Thanks for reading!

Tumblr media
OKAY BUT JESUS I DIDN’T EXPECT ANYONE TO ASK MOTHER OF PEARL.
WARNING ITS A LONG ASS POST
SO, MY OC RIGHT NOW IS DEMI, AND WHILE I’M STILL DRAWING HIM UP HERE AND THERE ALLOW ME TO ENGROSS YOU IN HIS STORY.
SO Demi is an Incubus living in the city of “The Underground” similar to a city like Manhattan; He first came as a human taking a trip home from a night out in the city, and suddenly winds up within the city of monsters, demons, and other unexplained beings.
He’s turned against his will into a demon by another character, a strip club owner, only known as Persephone, who runs the Fleur de Grenade with her attendant Hades. While he doesn’t quite recall his history as a human, Demi earns his new name from Persephone and works as a dancer in the club as, really, he doesn’t have anywhere else to go. However, it’s the introduction of @alolanbeowulf ‘s OC who travels through different worlds, Olliver, that convinces him to stay rather than to journey through the mysterious city.
You see, The Underground is a place divided by gang wars, demons and their worshippers, gods tossed from their shrines and other things left in the depths of well... Purgatory, if anything. The Gods control the weather, the people, the lifestyle, and their followers reap from the benefits. Each division is usually a District or a Community (Debating on either) where Demi lives, is District Eros, ruled by Persephone.
As of now, it’s unknown what or who Persephone is. Rather, she simply is known as Persephone, the other fallen gods of the districts aren’t as joyously grateful to newcomers or potential threats. The Underground’s way of life, particularly Eros, is that of lust. Your desires are amplified, sex is king, and there is always a party which usually becomes something darker or worse yet, a District related attack.
It’s said demons like Lucifer hide out in the city, while monsters of unparalleled appearances creep and lurk in the cover of darkness, the city hoisted by an ocean of murkiness and forebode. I actually wrote about some of the scenery in my writing tag, if you’d like, totally take a look sometime as well!
On Demi’s side, he’s aware that he’s not “like the other demons” and yearns to find out the truth. Though Olliver is his best friend and roommate, Demi actually slips off from their apartment to find himself in some way, shape or form. He’s a very laid back and kind guy, and apologizes frequently, mainly, due to being captured as a sex slave by a demon summoner who summoned him after being sought out in Persephone’s club. As it stemmed, Demi’s original personality was lost after becoming an Incubus by Persephone’s “gemstone” he wears as a choker; Thus, when summoned by the strange demon summoner, Demi developed his persona through the interactions he had with the summoner and creatures within The Underground while enslaved. He doesn’t like to talk on it, but because he was enslaved, he was abused to the point of fearing that he was only ever useful for sex, and magic, as the summoner would routinely drain him of whatever energies the Incubus would garner to use in spells and rituals.
It was when the summoner tried to use the gem wrapped around Demi’s neck, that effectively stole back all of Demi’s energy, sapping the kidnapper to skin and bones. Horrified and intrigued, Demi slipped away, taking the books of his capturer and his key: Naked and reborn into a world that he feared and detested. Persephone found him again, through her own agents, and brought him to her club once more, offering to allow him to forget what he had been through and become one of “her court” once more. Refusing politely to forget, Demi took back the job of becoming a dancer once more, and easily began to use magic from the writings his captor had previously read.
To this day, Demi summons demons and monsters for not only his usage, but also as guidance, he conjures the goddess Parvati after months of researching and practice to obtain his memories through a demonic contract, only to find the goddess calling him by a completely different name: “Chris”. Confused and distraught by the new persona, Parvati is overwhelmed by the theoretical fact that her previous contractee, her “child” is if anything, dead, and Demi is the husk she has left. Vowing to protect him and guide him back to his previous life, she forms a contract with him, a piece of his memory coming back in the form of Parvati hugging a young child closely while a dark figure watches far behind.
Ah! Before I forget, Demi’s name comes from Demetri, and as he began his witchcraft and magic studying, has taken up numerous names to bring to life his “memories” and feelings. He wears the same rolled-up sleeved red flannel as he did when he first arrived in The Underground and is never seen without it. As an Incubus, he has horns which curl slightly back, and keeps his hair windswept into a faux mohawk, or, just combed over since dancing and a tight schedule generally does not give him time to routinely check himself up besides a quick one-two.
He carries his keys hooked onto his pants, attached to a rubber cord which he can effortlessly pull and swing into a makeshift weapon, the action itself coming as near instinct to him.
FACTS ABOUT DEMI
- He’s actually pansexual/bi but is leaning towards men as preference.
- He’s an artist, but he doesn’t know why or how he can draw, he has a habit of summoning Parvati to draw henna all over his body, which has recently become a hot topic within the city. He can also control others and even change them through painting or drawing their portrait, effectively making him feared through his unconventional pictomancy
- He doesn’t trust Persephone, but works under and with her because as she said herself, compared to the other Gods and leaders, she’s at the most, more concerned of her people than herself.
- He fell in love with someone once before, but, he stays as their friend when he realized that they simply found someone who makes them happy (It’s what he wants for them in the first place)
- He has the unusual habit of shaving apple skins because he hates the actual skins. (He claims its because he saw once how dirty the food in The Underground can be, but would eat Persephone’s Pomegranates without a peep)
- A health fanatic, Demi is constantly toying with exercise regimes, trends, and tries haphazardly to get Olliver into lifting, dancing, or whatever is on mind for the first fifteen minutes. If he eats something he knows is potentially “unhealthy”, you can find him obsessively squatting or lifting to work off what was given.
- He’s very fond of magic, and finds numerous ways to blend magic into his line of work
- Can be found singing to his plant pot full of succulents when not actively dancing or summoning demons
- While is “around” his 20′s, he still acts like a child in that he is naive and craves to understand the world. Many times it’s Olliver who has to help rope him out of situations that spiral out of control; other times, it’s Demi who helps Olliver with key quotes and odd phrases when the going gets rough.
- Loves the company of Wolves, in one instance when he went missing, he was found with a pack of wolves among him, he didn’t understood why, but he felt it was “natural” to be amongst them.
- Does card readings on a daily basis and can foretell events to come, this gives him a sense of hopelessness in the people he comes across, that he cannot do much to change their fate. He is still optimistic however that fate can be changed.
- In reality, while Demi is becoming his own person and being and tries to find who he was before, Parvati knows deep down, that the real Demi is nothing like the copy. It’s the copy’s personality that is in fact, a mere shell of what was previously taken away. If anything, Demi is a figment of imagination in the paradox of Persephone altering his original fate.
- Is an unapologetic fan of funk and disco music
- Wants to learn how to wrestle, but is mostly in it for the excuse of wearing skimpy outfits
- Has and will continue “changing” people for the good of their fates. Has also been caught making a random stranger’s body grow huge just to see what it was like to pictomance once.
- Is usually noted as the most optimistic and polite person of The Underground (Not a good thing)
- Has formed contracts with Baphomet, Lilith, Parvati, Fae folk, and others
- Claimed to be friends with Cthulhu
- Afraid of being abandoned and has recurring nightmares of such.
- Haunted by a dark man who claims to be the “Shadow of the collective unconsciousness” in his dreams.
Last but not least,
- Knows who exactly is the true enemy of The Underground.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ASKING GOSH THIS MADE MY WHOLE NIGHT
