just popping back in here real quick to say that i'll be back in like a week and a half and that i'm already working on new graphics for the much needed revamp of this blog! i'm still gonna make my new blog extremely private / borderline friends only, but most of who i'm following are likely to be refollowed over on the new blog so no worries lol. i've missed y'all and i've missed nancy and look forward to writing in this terrifying fandom in a (hopefully) less stressful atmosphere!

i was going to wait til i cleared out my inbox, but i might just go ahead and remake this blog and just transfer the asks and the rest of my drafts over onto the other blog. idk, i'll still give it some thought first.

but also while i'm thinking about it, my revamped blog will be extremely private and i'll be super selective with who i follow / interact with. i've decided that if we can't have some sort of rapport, if we can't have time to chat and plot, i'll be less likely to follow you. i want to spend time building relationships with nancy than to just follow people / have people follow me who never engage (and i'll get better at reaching out to people, myself).

i'm feeling (surprise, surprise) overwhelmed on his blog anyway, so i feel that this will be for the best. but this is something i will be firm on: i won't follow someone who writes with someone on my dni (you don't have to like such lists but it's how i want to run my blog), or will not engage with me via asks, likes, ooc, etc. like i said, from now on, i'd rather keep my blog more plot-based with people who want to build dynamics with me.

sorry if this makes me sound like a hardass, but it's my blog and i just want to enjoy being on it and interacting with people i won't feel like i annoy / people who actually want to engage with me on things.

ooo y'all are gonna hate me for this one, but i'll say it anyway: i don't really see the appeal of ste/ddie. and before you come for my throat, i say this bc the fandom has fuckin' fetishized it SO MUCH that it's hard for me to wrap my head around it. if people could write it without being GROSS, i'd be fine, but it's always written in some "pls daddy, i'll be a good little boy" way which is like- why??? and if that's your kink, cool, idc, but it's when shit like that is purposely written to fetishize m/lm ships that i have a problem with it.

it's also when those fetishy shippers demonize women like n/ancy and c/hrissy and post horrible shit about them in their tags that have me go 'yeah, ain't touching that'. or when they shit on other ships with s/teve and e/ddie bc that's just rude.

similar to my earlier post, i'm thinking about giving nancy a r/ed d/ead r/edemption verse even tho the fandom is as dead as a doornail, i just keep thinking about her being someone who ran away from home to be a gunslinger bc her family was overbearing with their traditionalist values and how people don't like to take her seriously bc she doesn't look like a threat, but she always proves them wrong. probably has wanted posters and the whole nine.

maybe her parents were trying to marry her off to some old rich fuck and she said YEET.

it's wild to me that people will insist that it's ok for you to take breaks from rp and for you to ship what you want and that you don't have to be chronically online bc they'll still be there! buuuuut then you take a break from rp or you pop online to post ooc a little or talk about a ship you like and the next thing you know, the same people who insisted that it's ok for you to put your mental health first have dropped you. so which is it? are you allowed to take breaks and have people not forget about you, or do you have to be online constantly so people won't leave you by the wayside?

and don't get me started on how stupid i think it is that people feel like in order for others not to drop them they have to kiss ass. you shouldn't have to shower someone in attention / compliments for them to want to be around you bc if they are like that, they aren't worth keeping around.

but all this to say: treat your rp partners good. don't be a fucking dickhead or alternatively, don't feel like you have to suck their toes in order for them to like you. if they're gonna stick around they will. but either way: the rpc needs to do better with not dropping someone like it's hot just bc they have to take mental health breaks or need to step away from his hellscape of a fandom for a bit.
