author’s note: you asked, i delivered. hope u enjoy this one, fruit baskets đŸ«¶đŸ«š
you weren’t a k-pop stan. not by a long shot.
yet here you were, in seoul, seated as close to the stage as you could be for le sserafim’s flame rises concert.
you sat patiently waiting for the show to start with your bucket hat resting low on your head and your banner on your lap. to pass the time, you started mindlessly using your phone.
soon enough, you ended up looking through your conversations with jen and reminiscing on how far you two had come.
after sending jen that dm, you pocketed your phone and continued your journey back to your hotel. as soon as you arrived, your phone connected to the wifi and came alive with notifications from friends and family asking about how the concert went. you put your phone down and instead decided to get on with your evening routine before replying to them.
as you settled in bed, you skimmed through your friends' and family's messages.
however, one notification caught your eye.
jenaissante: well well well
you smiled to yourself as you finally read the message. the girl was online as well and must’ve seen you read her message because you then saw a text bubble pop up beside her profile picture, the three dots bouncing around in anticipation.
jenaissante: wait wait not here 😭
suddenly, you receive another notification: a follow request from what appeared to be her private account.
jenaissante: let’s talk there instead
itsyn: alright then 😭
after accepting her follow request and following her back, you dm’d her again.
itsyn: so
itsyn: a k-pop idol, huh?
you barely slept a wink that night because you spent the whole time talking to jen—yunjin. laying on your stomach while hugging the pillow beneath you, you and her talked about anything and everything until the post-concert exhaustion caught up with you.
the other girl must’ve noticed you’d passed out, because as she sat at the airport and waited to board, she chuckled to herself before typing one last message for the night.
pas.un.ange: good night, y/n.
you shook your head and chuckled to yourself as you pocketed your phone, paying attention to your surroundings instead and taking it all in: people settling into their seats, the excited chatter of fans (fearnots? is that what they’re called?), and just the sheer scale of the production. you had a vague idea of just how huge jen was, but seeing it in person was surreal.
quite the superstar you are, huh, jen?
before the show began, you picked your lightstick up from your bag, as well as your battery pack, and put them together just in time for the lights to dim as everyone else raised their lightsticks and cheered in excitement. you looked around at the scene, a sense of pride washing over you as you happily hollered with the crowd.
an intro video played on screen, signaling the start of the show. as each member appeared on screen for the first time, the crowd went wild, making you chuckle at first before joining the ruckus.
soon enough, though, yunjin appeared on screen.
and any scream that was due to come out of your throat died in its wake, instead leaving you slack-jawed at the sight of your seatmate in all her idol glory -- dressed to the nines and her once bright and wide eyes now glaring into your soul.
this wasn't jen. this was huh yunjin.
before you knew it, the vcr had ended, and the screens were splitting to make way for the five-piece to take the stage -- much to the excitement of the whole crowd. as soon as their silhouettes were clear, the crowd only hollered more (and further justified the $35 you spent on earplugs).
soon enough, both the spotlight and the cameras were on them for all to see. you looked on in awe at your seatmate now taking the stage for herself. not long after, the girls got in formation, and you could hear the buildup to their latest single blasting over the speakers.
"unforgiven, i'm a villain, i'm a."
the show was on.
you'd lost count of how many times your jaw dropped at just how impressed you were. before the concert, you were only vaguely familiar with the group. you'd think that as jen's friend, you'd be up to date on all their latest releases and shenanigans, but you made it clear to her that you wanted to get to know her outside of her idol life and career.
that lead to you basically receiving a crash course in all things le sserafim as the concert went on. you'd gotten familiar with the members and their idol personas, their insane discography, their overflowing talent, and their undeniable charm.
some members more so than others.
what's that called again? a bias?
you knew jen was talented. you knew she sang and played the guitar, you knew she had a few original songs under her belt (even sneaking you peeks at some unreleased ones), and you knew she'd spent a large chunk of her life training to become an idol.
but seeing her here right now? guitar in hand and performing an unreleased song under the harsh spotlight for her solo stage after singing and dancing with unrivaled charm for multiple songs back to back? you knew she was born to perform.
soon enough, it was time for the encore.
and it was your time to shine.
seeing the girls come back out and stylishly wearing their tour merch, you perked up and readied your sign. after a few words from the members, the telltale synths of flash forward came on the speakers as yunjin opened the song and started walking around the stage to interact with fans.
as you saw her come closer, you raised your sign even higher to try and grab her attention. she was smiling and waving at the fans beside you, but soon enough, she looked in your direction and took notice of your sign.
and then you.
you peeked out from under your bucket hat and made eye contact with the girl. you laughed at her bewildered expression before she pointed at herself and mouthed, "my wife?"
you responded with a sheepish shrug as she chuckled at you and gave you an easy smile that she must've realized lingered a little too long because she then moved on to the other fans around you and finally left your side of the stage.
you stood with your sign as the other members stopped by your side of the stage. when you locked eyes with them, they all looked some semblance of surprise -- as if they recognized you. jen must've told them about me, huh? you hope none of the fans around you saw their reactions to you. this is not how i want to get famous...
soon enough, though, the confetti popped as the girls took their final bows, not before shedding a few (a lot) tears, though.
that you took way too many pictures of.
for a rainy day, you know?
you sat back down and waited for the rest of the crowd to leave. when you noticed your own seatmates getting up to go, you followed their lead. with their chatter as your background noise, you turned your phone on and connected to your pocket wifi as your notifications came pouring in.
from a certain k-pop idol.
pas.un.ange: i didnt imagine that right
pas.un.ange: you were here??
pas.un.ange: where are u staying btw
pas.un.ange: also
pas.un.ange: my wife? 😳
you shook your head and chuckled to yourself at her shenanigans as you made your way out of the arena and towards the subway station. you replied to each of her messages just before your train arrived. you pocketed your phone and settled in, letting the exhaustion just barely take over you before you could reach your stop.
as you stepped out into the cool seoul evening, you absent-mindedly walked back to your hotel and were just about to go inside, but not before a voice stopped you in your tracks.
"damn, not even a hug from my wife?"
you looked up in surprise at jen, wrapped up in her huge coat with her hands in her pockets as she laughed at how your droopy eyes suddenly went wide. she walked closer, but not before you could crash into her, wrap your arms around her waist, and hug her tight. taken by surprise at the sudden contact, she returned the hug and let out a breath she didn't even know she was holding.
"you've got time for a snack run?" you heard her ask. you nodded against her chest, feeling it rumble as she chuckled.
"ja, let's go," she said before letting you go and walking into the convenience store located right beside the hotel entrance with you trailing right behind her.
you both scoured the aisles and picked up some ramyeon for you both to share. after taking your pick, though, you both kept exploring the store for more items either of you might want to pick up.
soon enough, you made it to the back of the store where they kept their drinks in rows of refrigerators. you opened a fridge, being greeted by an assault of cold air, and picked up a bottle of coke zero, before hearing her call out to you.
"yah, y/n, come here!" she said, looking up at the mirror on the corner ceiling, her phone ready to take pictures. you shook your head in playful disbelief as you saddled up beside her and had your mini photoshoot.
you sat patiently by the window as she paid and cooked your food (at her insistence). you broke out of your reverie when the smell of your ramyeon attacked your senses.
"something on your mind?" she asked as she took the seat beside you, put your drinks down, and offered you a pair of chopsticks that you then took.
"do your managers know you're here?"
"what they don't know won't kill them," she shrugged before you smacked her shoulder.
"hey! i'm kidding, of course they know I'm here. how else do you think i got here before you did?"
"and you're not worried about getting caught?"
"i'd say i'm conspicuous enough. it helps that i'm speaking english."
you thought about it for a second before resigning, breaking your chopsticks apart, and mixing the ramyeon.
"i still can't quite believe you're here."
"you did amazing, by the way. all of you. send my regards to the girls later, they were lovely."
"what was your favorite part?" she asked nonchalantly.
"oh, probably when kazuha--"
"yah!"
"i'm kidding! hm..." you hummed, as if deep in thought.
"probably when my bias noticed my sign."
"yeah?"
"oh yeah, kazuha is so much prettier up close,"
"if you want i cou--"
"she's nothing compared to you, though." it was your turn to cut her off with a hand to her bicep. the words die in her throat as she visibly flusters. she clears her throat and changes the subject.
seconds turn into minutes, minutes turn into an hour, and soon enough, jen's phone starts buzzing.
"yeoboseyo? ne... ah ne." with the way her face falls, you can only imagine what the conversation was about. she puts her phone down and lets out a deep sigh.
"i think i have to go, manager-nim's been waiting up on me for a while now."
you hum in understanding. "send my regards to your manager, too, i feel bad for keeping him this long."
you both start arranging your trash into a pile. jen moves to stand, and you're just about to do the same, but not before you feel a weight slumped behind you, burying its face in your neck.
"i dont wanna go," you can barely make out, causing you to chuckle.
jen gets up from the awkward position and stands behind you, wrapping her arms around your waist and pressing her front to your back. your eyes widen at the contact and you hope that if she catches your face burning, she assumes it's just because of the ramyeon you both had. she rests her chin on your shoulder and sighs.
you feel her right arm leave its spot on your waist and disappointment bubble up for a second before she hands you her phone. "come on, let's take a few pictures."
"you love your pictures, huh?"
"i don't know when i can see you again."
you hummed as you opened her camera and she wrapped her arms around your waist again, cuddling in closer than you thought was even possible for the picture. you kept spamming the shutter as she kept nuzzling closer to you, even feeling her nosing your neck at some point.
after saying your goodbyes to the lovely register, you both walked out into the cold night, the blast of air waking you both up better than any cup of coffee could. in front of your hotel, a lone black van was parked.
you walked side by side, bumping into each other as you walked to the front of your hotel. jen stopped in her tracks, and you took that as a sign to walk in front of her.
"well, i guess this is me."
"i think i've seen this film before, haven't you?" she jokes, trying to lighten the mood. you chuckled.
"you're right, it does feel familiar," you say as you take a step closer to her.
it was your turn to hold her by the biceps and tiptoe to whisper in her ear.
"only this time, i wonder if i'll like the ending."
before you could pull away, jen throws all caution into the cold wind and cups your cheeks to take your breath away in a searing kiss. frozen at first, you soon relax into the kiss and place your hands on her waist to return the kiss. eventually, you both barely pulled away, leaving tiny pecks before completely separating.
jen's eyes open a little bit, looking a little dazed before seemingly snapping out of it. she drops her arms and takes a step back, suddenly looking super flustered and awkward -- scratching her neck and finding the post behind you so fascinating with how hard she was staring at it. you chuckled and stepped closer to give her a peck on the cheek.
"see you around, jen. get home safe," you tell her before disappearing into your hotel lobby.
"bye y/n," she whispers into the night before finally making her way into her van.

trying my best not to kill myself rn BECUZ why is hanbin's whiskers when he smiles is so cute :(( like COME GIVE ME A HUG RN BAE😠 can i be 🧾 anon if its not taken?? if it is then đŸ» anon??
whatever you do, do NOT kys LMAO hanbinnie would be so sad that he made you do that 💀😭 like he'd probably literally never forgive himself so do not kys in his name...
i will offer some alternatives you can try when hanbinnie or any member is being so cute you feel like you can explode:
take up an extreme sport, like bungee jumping, sky diving, white water rafting (this way you feel like you are dying but you probably won't and it will probably fun)
make a never-ending collage of pictures of him and then light it on fire to enact your revenge for the damage he has caused you with his cuteness
buy up all the bread in every store within a 50 mile radius of you. i know you're thinking "what? how would that possibly help?" well. just hear me out. bread is an essential grocery that most households need on a daily basis. if all of the bread is completely gone in your region, this bread shortage will require news coverage and, because it will be so bizarre and unprecedented that news coverage will most likely be national or international. this is the perfect opportunity for you to turn yourself in as the sole cause for the regional bread shortage and for you to admit the reason for why you did it on national television: it was because sung hanbin was being too cute. BOOM. hanbin sees this video circulating on the internet and wakeone decides to set up a personal fan meeting for the both of you. it's a foolproof plan really and all you have to do is spend every last penny of your life savings on bread.
💕 u my new đŸ» anon and i look forward to seeing the regional bread shortage you create on the news.
(ps should i write a crackfic based on that^^??)

stand-in love (jwy x f!reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
genre: fluff, angst || word count: 1k
author’s note: had this wony x reader fic sitting in my drafts completely empty bc i lost the original idea but thanks to this amazing (AND GAY) episode of love bites suddenly i can write again
you were known for a lot of things.
approachable, charming, and kind, you were everyone’s friend.
you were also quite clever: near perfect test scores, a continuous slew exemplary outputs used by teachers as “examples” for others (not without the scowls of some), and the eloquence that even the brightest minds envied.
you were a rational person. every move you made was calculated.
but you could not, for the life of you, remember what the hell was going through your head when you asked your best friend to be your girlfriend.
for practice.
in your messed-up head, it made perfect sense! you'd never been with a girl before, so why not practice for the real thing? you'd hate to be anything less than the best -- even more so as a girlfriend.
that would just be embarrassing.
so one day, while you and wonyoung were hanging out after class, you decided to pop the question.
"do you wanna go out with me?"
"huh?"
"f--for practice!"
nice save, y/n.
you stumbled over your words and waved your hands around as you tried to explain. "i mean, i've never been with a girl in that way before, you know? i don't wanna mess it up!"
she continued to eye you inquisitively, putting her fork down and leaning back against her seat. "and you think that going on a practice date is gonna help you?"
"it sounds stupid, i know," you sighed, putting your own fork down and leaning back into your seat.
"no no, continue. i wanna know where you were going with this," she urged you with an amused smile.
"you think that me dying alone is funny, wony?! man, what friend you are," you rolled your eyes at the girl while crossing your arms.
she looked at you, eyes wide and jaw dropped in disbelief. "i--didn't even say that?! wah, the gall of this one." it was her turn to roll her eyes.
you shook your head in amusement. "well, i was just thinking that it wouldn't be a good idea to go into it blind, you know? it's like a test; you've gotta be prepared!" you reasoned out.
"you're never beating the overthinker allegations, are you?"
"hey, it's a valid concern!" you semi-yelled defensively.
"i didn't say it was! it's just..."
"just?"
"a little overkill, don't you think? you can't just become the best girlfriend ever by studying or something -- it's not a test," she says.
you frown. "if you don't want to, you could've just said--"
"when did i say that, though?" she cuts you off.
"wait, so you would?"
"i mean, i don't see why not," she shrugs. "besides, you're paying, aren't you?" she asks cheekily.
"in your dreams, jang," you shot back.
"what date you are," she mumbled. you felt a small smile take over your features hearing the pout in her voice.
"anyways, just tell me when and where."
that was six months ago.
and now here you both were, cuddled up on the corner of your friend's couch while everyone else was seated around the coffee table playing some board game.
you looked over at your fake girlfriend, admiring her as she laughed at your friends' shenanigans before you poked her cheek. that seemed to catch her attention as she hums and looks at you like a puppy.
"i'm going to grab something from the kitchen, you want anything?"
"just a water, love," she replied.
"ne," you said taking the blanket that was covering you both off your lap and laying it on her.
once you were out of earshot, the group turned to wonyoung, faces ranging from confusion to surprise.
"love?" rei questioned.
"are you guys actually together, now?" leeseo asked excitedly, prompting gaeul to scoff.
"what do you mean, 'together'? i don't even like girls like that," wonyoung replied.
"sounded a lil too defensive, don't you think?" liz questioned.
"guys, let's stop ganging up on wony," yujin sighed. "that's for her to figure out."
"figure what out?" you asked as you walked into the living room, a glass of water in hand. "here you go, by the way."
"how this game works, y/n," liz chimed in, pulling a new board game out from under the coffee table.
"you wanted to play, wony?" you asked as you took a seat on the arm of the couch, looking down at her.
"nope, was just curious," she answered before she pulled you back into her lap by the waist. "besides, who's gonna keep you warm?" she continued, craning her neck to look up at you, prompting gaeul to fake vomit in the background.
you watched the girls play, unaware of your best friend's stare.
no way did they think we were actually together, did they? are we really that convincing of a couple? i mean, y/n is lovely, that's for sure. she takes care of me well, she's funny, and she's just so cuddly!
best friends think of each other this way, don't they?
slowly but surely, the girls started resigning and heading to their bedrooms for the night, leaving you and wonyoung in the living room.
"well, wanna head in for the night, wony?"
"no, i just wanna stay here for a while," she whispered. you leaned closer to hear her.
"why are you whispering, we're the only ones here," you whispered back. you note the proximity: breaths mingling with each other, noses barely touching, and her long eyelashes that you could individually count.
you also notice how her breathing seemingly quickened.
"no reason," she says, before leaning up and connecting your lips -- only for a second, though.
her eyes were hooded as she looked up at your wide eyes. that must've snapped her back to reality because her own eyes went wide as she moved to push you off her lap.
"wait wait, wony," you urged her but not before she pushed you away.
"i'm sorry, y/n," she whispered before going into her room and leaving you standing wondering what the hell just happened.

delicate (hyj x f!reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
genre: fluff || word count: 2.1k
author’s note: this is me trying (no pun intended) to manage my expectations and also stop my delusions in their wake, hope y’all enjoy ✊😔
war was over.
after fighting valiantly and shedding blood, sweat, tears, and your cold hard cash, you finally got to reap the fruits of your labor as you settled into your seat for taylor swift's concert in singapore.
you took it all in: the sea of seats slowly filling up, the excited chatter of swifties and casual fans alike, and just the entire scale of the production.
that didn't mean you weren't logical, though.
"goddamn, i'm far," you muttered to yourself in disbelief as you shook your head and took your phone out to pass the time. even while you were focused on your phone, you could vaguely make out the people settling into the seats around you out of the corner of your eye.
as time drew closer to 7 pm, you felt someone plop into the seat beside you, chest heaving and clearly exhausted from the rush. you turned to give her a once over: bucket hat pulled so far down her face you wonder how she even made to her seat, masked up to add to the air of mystery, but dressing to the nines yet so effortlessly. they're a swiftie, what'd i expect, you thought to yourself.
striking brown eyes, that's what.
your seat mate must've noticed your gaze on her as she looks up at you like a puppy, her eyes barely peeking out from under her hat. it's when she raises her hat up a little bit that you see her big brown doe eyes staring straight into yours, and you start questioning if you cured cancer in your past life because what do you mean i sit next to this beauty for a whole concert??
you notice that she’s trying to tell you something, but she might as well have said nothing because there was no way she could overpower the blasting speakers and the ruckus of the crowd. you raised your eyebrows as if to ask her to repeat herself. she shook her head with a smile as she leaned forward, which you took as a sign to do the same.
“i’m sorry for disturbing you, by the way,” your seatmate says sheepishly. but all you could do was stare dumbly at her as you try to process what the hell was happening.
okay what the hell not only does she dress well but she’s pretty AND she has a raspy voice?! lord god if you took me right here right now i wouldn’t be complaining, this is a lovely way to die.
“um, you alright there?”
“huh?”
you know maybe i should just die right here.
“oh! oh yeah, i’m alright,” you chuckled, trying to shake off the awkwardness. as she laughs along with you easily, you hope her pillow is always cold at night for choosing to ignore the awkwardness of being stared at.
“anyways, you get here safe?” she asks, trying to make small talk.
as you opened your mouth to reply, you both notice the crowd go wild as the lights go down and a video plays on screen. you look back at your seatmate with an apologetic look as she just shakes her head in amusement.
“looks like the show’s about to begin, huh?” she shouts at you while leaning forward to stand like everyone else in your section to get a better view of the stage. you followed her lead, but only after staring up in awe at your enigma of a seatmate.
you stood on your tippy toes to try to see what was happening on stage. your timing couldn't be more perfect since it just so happened that, at that moment, taylor finally came on stage, prompting everyone to holler and further blocking your view.
how'd you know?
your seatmate's screeches, that's how.
"OH MY GOD IT'S TAYLOR, TAYLOR'S ON STAGE!" she screamed at the top of her lungs as she jumped along with the rest of the crowd.
screamed at you, that is.
she repeatedly slapped your shoulder in excitement as your face morphed from surprise to exaggerated discomfort in a second and you doubled over.
"OW!" you yelled half-jokingly.
she looked at you with wide eyes as she ran her mouth off, held you close, and rubbed your shoulders while apologizing, but those went in one ear and out the other as you turned your head to get a better look at the girl.
her hat must've fallen off while she was jumping around, but you wonder why she was even wearing one in the first place because no one this pretty should be hiding themselves.
no one with long, black, and wavy hair that flowed well past her shoulders and framed her face perfectly should cover that up.
no one with big, brown, and expressive eyes that you could just drown in should have to shield them. they deserve to be put into a museum.
they deserve to be admired.
you snap back to reality when she drops her arms and moves to make some space between you two, and she realizes that you're staring at her, suddenly frantically looking for her hat. you try to stop her in her tracks.
"hey hey, it's alright," you reassure her. "you look really pretty, by the way." she seemed to be taken aback.
"wait do you..." she starts to question before catching herself and instead choosing to say, "oh, um, thank you! you do too, by the way."
"i'm just saying you don't need the hat. i mean, how would you even be able to see taylor?"
she picks her hat off the floor and stares at it long and hard, as if deep in thought.
"you know what? you're right."
she then puts her hat on her chair before turning her attention back to the stage with a smile -- right on time for cruel summer.
as soon as the telltale intro started, she grabbed you by the shoulders again and started jumping around while screaming the lyrics. your eyes widened and your shoulders stiffened at the sudden proximity before you relaxed and just enjoyed the moment, screaming at the top of your lungs with the rest of the crowd.
"I'M DRUNK IN THE BACK OF THE CAR, AND I'M CRYING LIKE A BABY COMING HOME FROM THE BAR, OH!" you both screamed at each other, pointing to each other while using your phones as mics at the same time.
"SAID I'M FINE BUT IT WASN'T TRUE, I DON'T WANNA KEEP SECRETS JUST TO KEEP YOU, AND I," you aggressively pointed at each other at every syllable. you were both stuck in your own little world -- as if you'd known each other your whole lives.
as the show went on, you'd sometimes sneak glances at the girl beside you and smile to yourself as you enjoyed the sight of her just letting loose.
on one occasion, though, she must've felt your gaze on her as she turns to meet yours. you didn't even bother covering it up; there was no saving yourself. you just mirror her bright smile that makes her eyes disappear, hoping this moment would last forever.
then again, all good things must come to an end.
the concert flies by, and the next thing you know, you and your seatmate are seated once again, trying to catch your breath.
you didn't even get to take many pictures because of how much fun you were having.
"wow," she said as she looked up at the ceiling. she then went quiet, as if replaying the events of the night in her head. she shook her head with a smile and turned to look at you before a phone notification soon caught her attention.
a whole slew of them.
you just looked on as she sighed, replying to only one of them before shutting her phone off and giving you her fullest attention with a smile.
"you're quite famous, huh?" you joked. her eyes went wide as the color seemingly drained from her face. "oh no, i just meant that because you had a lot of notifs," you said, trying to save face and reassure her. i wonder why she clams up randomly, you thought to yourself.
you then realize that you may never get the answer to your question. and the thought disappoints you.
what have i got to lose?
you got your phone and switched on your camera, pointing it towards the stage.
"hey," you say, trying to get her attention. you held your hand out in front of the camera in a peace sign, hoping she catches your drift. soon enough, you see another peace sign in front of your camera, and you start to snap away.
afterwards, you turn your peace sign into half a heart, and she does the same.
"let's take a pic together, you and me," you tell her. before she even got the chance to reply, you immediately followed it up. "only if you want to! i don't want to make you uncomfortable, seeing as we're strangers and all--"
she cut off your rambling by plucking your phone out of your hands and switching it to selfie mode. "it's fine..."
"y/n."
"y/n. lovely name for a lovely person,” she remarked. “anyways, you're good. now, come on! my arm's getting tired."
you got into the frame, posing with her and making funny faces before she chuckled and proceeded to airdrop the pictures to herself.
"let's get going?" she asks as she gets up from her seat. you nod and follow her lead out of the stadium.
conversation flows easily between the both of you as you slowly make your way outside, not wanting the moment to end.
soon enough, you made it outside. you turn to face her, bouncing on your heels as you spoke.
"um, i guess this is it."
"yeah, i guess it is."
you open your mouth to take a leap, to make the moment last, but of course it had to be cut short by the honk of a black van that pulled up close to you both.
she looks towards the van. "well, i guess this is me."
you knew you'd regret it if you didn't make a move, so you took your chances.
"wait!"
"hm?" she looks at you expectantly -- and maybe a little hopefully, unless you were deluding yourself.
"i...had a lot of fun tonight, and i'd hate if this were just a one night thing, you know?"
she chuckles in response. "i did too, y/n."
"so...would you want to meet up again soon?"
"i'm not from here, you know."
"neither am i, but who knows what'll happen?" you tried to reason out.
"you make a good point," she resigns.
"how about this: if you can find me after tonight, then we can go out."
"deal!" you replied a little too excitedly.
"alright, well, i'll see you around, y/n," she says as she moves to get inside her car.
"wait!"
"yes, y/n?"
"i don't even know your name."
"i guess you're right," she says.
she steps into your personal space, close enough that you could get a whiff of her perfume, as she holds your shoulders and leans in to whisper, as if only for you to hear.
"it's jen."
she then pulls away, but not after placing a peck on your cheek. she then steps back.
"have a good night, y/n. get home safe!" she says before ducking to get inside her car.
"bye," you whisper into the night as you watch the car speed off.
you turn around to make your way towards the subway. you check your twitter, going through your timeline before you decided to check the trends. one trend caught your eye, though. "JENJEN," it read. enticed, you clicked on it.
LE SSERAFIM's Huh Yunjin spotted at Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour in Singapore. attached to the tweet were pictures of your seatmate waiting in line and standing around in her bucket hat.
you stopped in your tracks, eyes wide, as you continued to scroll down, seeing tweets from what appeared to be kpop stan accounts.
so glad to see our resident swiftie enjoying her life AS SHE SHOULD
is she a ninja or smth bc how did none of us notice she was gone
why do u need to know where she is all the time smh 🙄
she looks like she had a lot of fun, thank u sg fearnots for not crowding her!
huh yunjin, huh?
you jumped over to instagram as you kept walking to the subway station to search her name up. clicking on the first account you saw, you realized that your seatmate was a celebrity.
you clicked on the big blue follow button and watched it turn into two separate buttons: following and message. you clicked on the latter button.

blessing in disguise (hyj x f!reader)
genre: fluff || word count: 690
author's note: thank u anon for this, literally brought me to life
"alright, guys, i had fun today," you spoke to the camera.
it was your turn to film for fimlog. you loved this series, having a knack for filmmaking yourself, but man was it tiring having to film yourself.
dressed in your favorite set of pajamas, barefaced with your glasses resting on your nose bridge, you gave a tired smile to the camera that you had facing your bed. "i'm going to sleep, good night, fearnot!" you greeted before ending the video. you then changed the video setting to "timelapse" and started recording again before settling in the comfort of your own bed, book in hand.
you never got rest like this often. being a member of one of the hottest girl groups in the business, you'd be lucky if you even had the energy to change out of your clothes from the day -- that's how busy you guys were.
then again, that's the price you pay in exchange for living the dream.
seeing the fans, travelling the world, and doing what you love with the people you love made everything worth it in the end.
that doesn't mean the road here was easy, though.
between sleepless nights, bouts of insecurity, and thoughts of giving up, a certain someone was with you through all of it. the same someone who was knocking on your door and peaking her head through the crack she made.
you perked up from your book at the sound and were greeted with the sight of your groupmate -- huh yunjin. a smile easily took over your features as you locked eyes with the girl.
"am i disturbing anything?" she asked, ever the gentlewoman.
"not at all," you chuckled in response.
"can i come in?"
"of course, jen."
at your permission, she opened the door to reveal one of your favorite sides of her -- jenjen, the girlfriend. she looks so small with how her hoodie and pajamas seem to be swallowing her whole. she shuffled her feet towards the foot of your bed before climbing on and laying on top of you, forcing you to put your book down beside you and wrap your arms around her waist.
"i didn't know being your bed was part of my job description."
"you should've read the fine print," she tsked, resting her chin on your chest to look up at you. you rolled your eyes at her antics. she stuck her tongue out at you. all was right with the world.
"how've you been today?" you asked.
"same old, same old. i had a bad day today, though," she sighed. you raised your eyebrows in surprise, ready to listen to whatever had her down in the dumps (and maybe beat a few people up -- only if necessary, though). the look on your face makes her chuckle.
"i didn't see you at all today, that's why," she says with a pout.
"yah, you had me worried!"
"i'm being serious though. you've been so busy, lately," she sighs.
you frowned at the girl. deep in thought, your eyebrows unconsciously furrowed until you came up with a plan.
"why don't we go out tomorrow?"
"what've you got in mind?"
"whatever your little heart desires, jen," you whispered to her, hearts in your eyes.
the hold this girl had on you was insane.
you wouldn't have it any other way, though.
"is that so?" she whispers, seemingly inching up to steal a kiss (or two. or five.), but not before you could stop her.
"jen, as much as i'd love to make out with you right now, my phone's been time-lapsing all of this, so..." you trailed off.
"oh." she muttered, her cheeks dusted pink.
you chuckled at the turn of events before giving her a peck on the forehead and moving the girl so that she was beside you. once she settled on your side, she rested her head right above your heart and wrapped her limbs around you, the steady beating of your heart grounding her and lulling her to sleep.
safe to say, when the video went live, CHINGUZ was trending on twitter for days on end.

mistletoe (kjw x f!reader)

genre: fluff; wc: 2.4k
a/n: guess who’s back, back again
but fr tho the liz brainrot is REAL she’s so â˜čâ˜č and im in dire need of content for this cutie so someone had to take matters into their own hands
"ahh, jiwon-ah, you're so cute!"
that was the first thing jiwon heard as soon as she opened the door to the ive dorms: your usually quiet demeanor going out the window at the sight of her.
with a big, bright smile, you immediately launched yourself at the girl and threw your arms over her shoulders, bringing her in for a hug. the poor girl was flustered beyond belief, absolutely clueless about where to place her arms and as red as rudolph's nose. reluctantly, she wrapped them around your waist, which only prompted you to hug the girl even closer and tighter.
"i missed you so much, jiwonie, you don't even know," you whispered into her neck, as if you'd told her a secret. the poor girl's eyes went wide and she could feel her face heat up even more. you, though, you just thought she felt even more huggable considering the cold seoul air you walked through with your members to get to their dorm entrance.
speaking of members...
liz raised her gaze to meet 4 other pairs of eyes staring at the whole ordeal in front of them. their looks ranged from surprised at their usually reserved member being so affectionate, to a teasing smirk here and there, to a big smile from someone who's just happy to be there.
"chaewon-unnie! kkura-unnie! you guys made it!" shouted yujin from the inside of the dorm. at her shout, you drew back a little bit from jiwon to peek over her shoulder at her leader. you gave yujin a big smile that she returned with her own, her eyes disappearing into crescents.
your members let themselves into the ive dorm one by one, greeting jiwon's members with yunjin closing the door behind them. with how you've buried your face in jiwon's chest, still hugging the girl from the waist instead, you missed the looks that your members shot the girl. jiwon moved her arms up to your shoulders and finally grabbed ahold of herself and cleared her throat.
"um, let's go in, y/n-ie?"
she felt you nod against her chest.
"are you gonna let go...?"
you lifted your head to pout up at the girl. "do you want me to?" you asked. she immediately shook her head no with wide eyes.
"i--i don't! i was just asking, y/n-ie..." she pouted. you smiled up at her and gave her a peck on the cheek. "you're so cute, jiwonie..."
with your arms still around each other, you both made your way into the living room. unbeknownst to you both, conversations were brewing in the kitchen.
"100,000 won says they're getting together tonight," yunjin offhandedly mentions.
"absolutely not!" chaewon counters.
"yeah, that'd just be easy money," sakura shrugged. rei looked up from the dessert she was making to shoot sakura a smirk.
"wait, they're not together, yet?" kazuha asked. "i mean, they sure looked like they were."
"nope. have you seen jiwon? the poor girl could never make moves on y/n-ie. i mean, look!" rei directs everyone's attention towards the living room where y/n is sitting close to wonyoung while the latter was showing something on her phone. meanwhile, jiwon was sulking off to the side -- complete with a pout, crossed arms, and a giant ugly christmas sweater that makes her look so small you wouldn't think she was just as tall as yujin and wonyoung.
"i guess fearlessness carries over to shamelessness? try being more obvious, guys," gaeul sighs as she walks by the group in the kitchen, trying to get a bottle of water from the fridge. "yeah, guys, the dessert's not gonna make itself," yujin adds.
slowly, everyone starts piling out of the kitchen into the dining room. the girls all unconsciously assigned themselves roles of either setting the table or arranging the dishes. you didn't want to disturb the girls or mess with their flow, so you stood at the side by yourself as you watched the christmas feast slowly come to life with a smile on your face.
you felt someone's eyes boring into the side of your head, so you turned your head in the direction and found jiwon staring right at you. when you caught her, she immediately looked ahead at the spread in front of her, while a red was spreading across her face that she was hoping you wouldn't catch. chuckling at the girl's actions, you walked over to her and cuddled up to her side while wrapping your arms around her waist. you looked up at the girl and gave her an easy smile. when she hesitantly met your gaze, you could feel your heart race as she gave you a smile in return. you tightened your hold on her waist as you buried your face in her neck.
with how close you were holding her, you were hoping she wouldn't feel the way your heart jackhammered against your chest.
ah, what am i going to do with you, jiwonie?
with a clap, sakura called on everyone's attention. "ja, before we eat, i just wanted to say a few words." everyone listened intently at the eldest person in the room as she rambled on and on, thanking her own members as well as the ive members and congratulating them on a successful year.
while wiping away tears, yujin announced, "alright, let's dig in!"
the girls all took a seat around the table and dug in. conversation flowed effortlessly between them. half the time, though, you would just stay quiet and relish in the moment. with your it's not very often you and your members would get to have dinner with friends like normal people your age, so you wanted to savor every second of this.
as soon as the energy started going down, wonyoung went into the kitchen to grab something. you, leeseo, and eunchae were talking about the latest twice comeback when a round of cheers piqued your interest. you looked up and peeked over your shoulder to see what the ruckus was about when you saw wonyoung walking over carrying a few bottles of soju. soon enough, the energy came back up as the drinks started flowing -- maybe even more so than when you guys weren't tipsy.
throughout the night, you and jiwon had gotten pretty close, but only to hear each other over the rowdiness of everyone else (yunjin and drinks never made a good combo). in the middle of your conversation, though, a certain someone's shout caught both of your attention.
"look who got caught under the mistletoe!" yujin screamed. you excitedly looked up, trying to find the damned fruit around the ceiling, until you finally found it.
above you and jiwon.
the table immediately erupted in hollers, with the mistletoe acting like a spotlight on the both of you. "kiss! kiss! kiss!" the group chanted, lead by jiwon's own leader. you could feel the heat radiating off of jiwon. you knew the girl was shy -- she didn't like having all this kind of attention on her. you chuckled nervously as you turned to look at the girl who looked like she was about to cry, face as red as a tomato. thankfully, wonyoung and gaeul took notice and shifted the conversation towards something else.
however, the damage had already been done.
quietly, the girl got up from her seat. on instinct, you reached up for her, wanting to make sure she was okay. before you could even get a word out, jiwon was already shaking her head. "it's okay, y/n," she whispered before running off to what you assumed was her room.
all you could do was watch helplessly as she disappeared. you turned back towards the table, looking on as everyone just continued as if nothing had happened. as you assessed the scene, you noticed wonyoung staring straight at you. as soon as you made eyes with the girl, she gave you a nod as if to say, "go after her." with that, you excused yourself from the table and made your way towards the room you saw jiwon disappear into, vaguely hearing a slap, a groan, and a distant, "what the hell were you thinking?!" from wonyoung.
you stared at the white door ahead of you before hesitantly raising your fist up to knock. after three raps, you spoke up. "jiwon-ah? it's me, y/n. can i come in?"
after 5 seconds, nothing came from the other side. you knew jiwon -- she didn't like being pressured. you were about to turn around and leave, before you heard a small, "come in," from the other side of the door.
slowly, you turned the knob and pushed the door open and peeked your head in. "jiwonie? you good?" you asked in a small voice. you let yourself into the room more and noticed how small the girl looked sitting on the edge of her bed -- as if she wasn't at least 5 cm taller than you. you slowly approached the girl and took a seat beside her.
you waited for a minute, just sitting in silence with jiwon. while usually you would relish in the silence, your mind was racing a mile a minute, wondering how you were going to talk to her again.
until she made your life easier.
"i'm sorry about that earlier," jiwon said in a small voice. it broke your heart to see and hear the usually boisterous girl sound so...defeated. you quickly turned your attention toward her and were quick to reassure her.
"wait, why are you sorry?" you asked.
"i...my members must've made you feel uncomfortable. i'll talk to them about this tomorrow," the girl sighed, complete with a shake of her head.
"no no, i wasn't uncomfortable, i swear, jiwonie," you tried again, cupping her hands for comfort.
"you don't have to lie, i compl--"
the words died in her throat as she felt a pair of lips come in contact with her cheek. she immediately felt the heat rise up her neck to her face and her eyes went wide as she processed what the hell just happened.
she didn't have much time to do so, though, because she felt your hand snake up and cup her other cheek to get her to look at you. when your eyes met, your hand moved down to cup her neck instead while your eyes disappeared into crescents -- her favorite part about you.
but that might just change as soon as she felt your kiss on her forehead.
is it possible to get second-hand drunk? i didn't have a touch of alcohol, but maybe all that soju in the air got me drunk. yeah. that's probably it, because there's absolutely no way y/n is looking at me like i put the stars in the sky.
"i'm not mad at your members because i really wanted to do this, jiwon," you whispered. you felt her face heat up more under your palm. how can someone be this cute?
"really?"
"really, jiwonie."
"...is that all you wanted to do?" she whispered.
you chuckled at the girl. "if that's all you want me to do."
she leaned forward to nose at your nose like a cat. oh, jiwon, you're going to be the death of me. "what if i want you to do more?"
"then your wish is my command."
you took that as your sign to close the gap between you two and softly pressed your lips to hers. for a second, it seemed as though jiwon was frozen in place, but it seems like her brain had finally caught up to the present when she returned your kiss with a lot more passion. you couldn't help but smile into the kiss and tighten the hold you had on her waist -- it was like everything you've ever imagined.
you both finally pulled apart after a few seconds but still remained well within each other's proximity. she was about to lean in for another before you stopped her, your finger meeting her lips instead.
"uh-uh-uh, jiwonie," you chuckled. "not yet."
the girl only pouted in reply. she buried her head in your neck and rested her whole weight on you, prompting you both to lie down on the bed behind you both. your heart had never felt fuller.
"jiwon-ah."
she lifted herself off of you a little bit to get a look at you, attention on you like a cat to a laser pointer. you smiled at the girl before leaning up and giving her another peck. when you pulled away, she immediately chased after your lips for an even longer and a little more heated kiss. you kept your hands on her neck to both steady her and try to control the pace. when she pulled away for a bit, you took that as your cue. "we still need to talk, jiwonie," you said. it was as if she snapped out of her daze with how her eyes went wide and she immediately pushed herself off of you.
you could tell she was getting worried again, and you decided to stop her in her tracks. "ah-ah-ah, jiwonie. it's okay what you did back there, really. i just think we should talk first about...whatever this is," you reasoned out.
jiwon still looked very much apprehensive, but she nodded anyways.
"if you want, i can start first. i very much like you, kim jiwon, and i'd like it if you were mine only," you spoke with much conviction.
"i..." was the only thing the other girl could let out.
you, though, you just kept staring at her with an easy smile. you didn't want to pressure her into anything, and you hoped she understood that with the look you were giving her.
"i...i like you a lot too, y/n-ie. i really do. but..."
"ah-ah-ah! no buts, jiwon-ah. i know exactly what you're going to say, and I'm not having it. you're the most amazing person on the planet, and if you'll let me, i want to make you feel like you are," you tried to assure her.
all she could do was gape at you, so you did what you could do best -- you gave her one more peck.
"alright, are you ready to get back out there? we've still got gifts to open, you know?"
"only if you stay with me."
"there's no where else i'd rather be."

2:28 am (hyj x f!reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
genre: fluff || word count: 968 author's note: back from the dead with smth self indulgent and way farther from what i envisioned
in. out. deep breaths, y/n.
lying in a pool of your own sweat, you heaved while staring up at the ceiling. not even a blasting a/c could stop me from shedding my weight in sweat, huh. you learn something new every day, you thought to yourself.
you turned my head with what energy you had left and squinted your eyes to look at the time: 02:28 am, it read. you closed your eyes and sighed, turning to look back up at the ceiling.
"literally, why do i do this to myself. i had a whole day to work out and yet here i am," you muttered to know one in particular. maybe it was a way to distract from the baby hairs sticking onto your forehead and the ends of my locks feeling like you'd taken a shower that you'd suddenly become hyper-aware of.
"i wonder the exact same thing."
a husky voice broke you out of your reverie. you propped yourself up on your arms as you looked over to the door that you're surprised you didn't hear open and met the striking brown eyes of a certain songstress. your eyes grew wide as you tried to sputter out an answer.
"o-oh, hey yunjin!" such a charmer, y/n. nice going.
you then got up and ran over to the couch where your towel lay and tried to at least make myself look presentable. "what're you doing here? it's so late," you asked in english.
"i could ask you the same thing, y/n," she chuckled with a shake of her head. she turned her attention to the lone yoga mat near the end of the room.
"i-i'll clean that up, don't worry!" you sputtered out. you then scuffled over to the yoga mat and started rolling it up. "anyways, what're you doing here again?"
"leader's orders. she's been trying to contact you all night," she replied nonchalantly. you cringed at the thought of worrying your chaewon-unnie. yikes...
"um, tell her i'll be home soon," you replied.
the quiet hum of the air conditioners was the only thing filling the awkward silence between you and your same-aged friend. who you also happened to be crushing on. hard. i mean, it was hard not to. she was quite literally everyone's dream girl. insanely talented, creative, witty, and not to mention, absolutely gorgeous. when she came home from the salon after dyeing her hair black for unforgiven promotions, your soul quite literally left your body.
aside from those, though, she felt like home. the whole debut process -- from getting scouted at a school talent show to moving to korea barely speaking the language -- would've been even more hellish had she not been around. your first training session with the girls was nothing short of grueling, made even more so by your evident insecurity and shyness. you sat on the couch with the girls as they chattered away nonstop among each other, their conversations going in one ear and out the other as you stared off into the distance and just let everything sink in.
"hey, you good?" she asked you in english, and the familiarity in a strange land lifted a whole weight off your shoulders.
only for it to make it so easy for you to fall into the trenches that is huh yunjin.
"i'll wash up real quick and then head home," you told her after cleaning up after yourself. she hummed noncommittally as you picked up your belongings and made your way to the hybe showers. when you came back, she was sitting patiently with her legs crossed and her phone in her hands, looking at it intently. you finally got a good look at her: how her glasses hung on for dear life at the end of her nose, how her hoodie engulfed her and made her look oh so cuddly, and how she let her hair down and had it frame her face perfectly.
goddamn, get up, y/n.
"let's get going?"
"come here, first."
she put her phone down and opened her arms up for you to come into. you confusedly put your bag down and walked over to her, only for her to turn you around and pull you into her lap. your eyes widened as you felt your heart beat against your chest. you looked down at her arms tightening around your waist, hoping your hair would cover your reddening face. that was probably fruitless though because you were certain she could feel the heat radiating off of you with her chin resting on your shoulder.
"um...care to explain?"
"i'm just feeling affectionate," she mumbled.
"ah." she probably would've clung onto kkura-unnie if she was here. i just happened to be the only person around. get up, y/n.
"besides, i haven't seen you often. you're always disappearing after our schedules; my english is getting rusty, you know?" you could hear the pout in her voice. you turned to look at her and completely underestimated the distance when she turned to look at you too, noses barely touching.
"so when chaewon-unnie was going to ask zuha to look for you, i stepped up. i missed you."
"we see each other every day though."
"but we never get to hang out."
"valid, i guess."
you broke her gaze and turned to look at yourselves in the mirror. yunjin plucked her phone up and turned her camera on.
"look, y/n."
your idol instincts turned on and posed for the camera in front of the mirror: hand on your cheek, face scrunched up in a smile as yunjin shot away until...
you felt her nosing away at your neck and leaving a little peck on the spot. there was no way she couldn't feel your heart drumming against your chest.
"cute. let's get going?"
"yeah, sure..."

cool with you (kzh x f!reader)
genre: fluff || word count: 878
author’s note: slowly but surely knocking my reqs in between writing and directing short films for school man i love my life, thank u again to anon for the request! đŸ«¶
you loved august.
it was your girlfriend’s birth month, it was the month before your own birthday, and every weekend just happened to be a long one because of all the holidays. and as a student, you’d take any break you could get.
with a content sigh, you bent down to pick your remote up as you sat down, ready to settle in for the weekend— not before the ring of your doorbell could stop your ass from meeting the cushion of your couch, though. you winced at the sound, groaning as you got up, hoping that the person on the other side knew you’d rather be doing anything than opening the door for them.
looking through the peephole, though, all ounces of disdain for the stranger were replaced with surprise, confusion, and worry at the sight.
what is zuha doing here?
you opened the door to see your girlfriend, nakamura kazuha, in all her
glory?
you know the girl has a tiring job, but you’ve never seen her more exhausted than now. it was surprising enough that she could even stand on two feet, how much more make her way to your apartment?
eyes filled with worry, you opened your arms out to the idol, who only looked like a shell of her former self as she collapsed into you. you stumbled back, adjusting to the sudden weight change, before you steadied yourself and hugged her tighter.
“you alright, zuha-chan?”
you could barely make out her mumbling. “i’m sorry, what was that?”
“just tired,” she said as she burrowed further into you, nosing at your neck.
“alright, let’s get you settled,” you whispered as you walked backwards into your apartment, practically dragging the girl inside. as soon as you were both in, you reached out to close the door behind her.
it was a struggle trying to drag her near lifeless body across your apartment. after about five steps, you just about gave up and turned around to carry your girlfriend to your bedroom. you bent down to pick the girl up bridal style, scooping her up by the knees with one arm and your other arm resting on her back.
maneuvering around the room while making sure to bump into anything, you noted how your girlfriend’s head rested lifeless against your chest. peeking into her hoodie, you’d never seen your girlfriend this tranquil. you sighed — both in admiration and in worry.
she must be beat, huh? she’s out cold.
you struggled to turn the lights on while carrying kazuha, but you managed. once inside, you laid your girlfriend gently on your bed. you reached up to take her arms off your neck, which was simple enough.
it was leaving the room that was the hard part.
the second you pulled away, you were pulled right back into your girlfriend’s space.
seems about right.
your eyes widened and you let out a yelp at the sudden action. the girl had you in a death grip.
“don’t leave me,” she mumbled into your hair.
“zuha-chan, i have to turn off the lights
” you trailed off.
“do it tomorrow.”
“i’ll be quick, i promise,” you said, while trying to get out of her vice grip.
“i can’t sleep without my y/n-ie,” she whined in response.
you sighed at the girl’s antics. with a shake of your head, you relented. “alright, zuha-chan. scooch over,” you said.
“too tiring
”
yah, this girl
“how am i supposed to sleep, then?” you asked semi-incredulously.
“just sleep on me.”
well! “suit yourself, then,” you shrugged as you got up to lay on top of her.
kazuha let out a small yelp at the sudden weight on her chest, not expecting you to actually lay on top of her. she adjusted immediately, though, and wrapped her arms around your waist, your weight grounding her.
soon enough, the only things that filled the room were the sounds of her breathing evening out as well as the quiet hum of your air conditioner. you rested your chin on her chest as you looked up at your girlfriend. you’ve seen her all dolled up for her performances, her photoshoots, and even simple outings, but you think she’s never been more beautiful than in this moment: dressed in an oversized white hoodie, the hood pulled over her head, making her baby hairs fan out all over her face.
you reached up to brush some of the hairs out of the way, trailing your finger across her features right after. from her long eyelashes to the tip of her nose, all the way to her plump lips, you loved everything about the girl and wanted nothing more than to stay in this moment.
like she wasn’t exhausted idol nakamura kazuha, and you weren’t equally exhausted college student y/n l/n.
like you guys could just go out on normal dates out by the han river without the worry of someone taking photos of you guys without consent that’ll go viral the next day.
like you were just kazuha and y/n.
as you laid your head down on her heart, though, its steady beating reminded you that you’d choose to love kazuha in any lifetime. every lifetime.
“good night, zuha-chan,” you whispered into the night, wrapping your arms around her waist tighter.

get up (kzh x f!reader)
a sequel to “cool with you (kzh x f!reader)”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
genre: fluff || word count: 1k
author’s note: the ending sounds sad but i swear it isn't alright
stop, don’t touch me there! this is, my no-no square!
you jolted awake at the sound of the offending song. heartbeat racing at the thought of possibly missing your first class of the day, you were gearing up to get ready on autopilot with your eyelids still lidded until your brain finally caught up with you:
it’s a saturday.
with a groan and an eye roll, you immediately plopped back down. instead of meeting the mattress beneath you, though, your back instead it the very lithe, very toned arm of your girlfriend, nakamura kazuha.
you shot back up and winced at the contact, face contorting in cringe. yikes, i hope i didn’t wake her up, you thought. you slowly turned around, keeping your eyes closed until you faced the girl, slowly opening your eyes to see whether you’d woken the girl.
thankfully enough, she’s still dead to the world.
with a sigh of relief, you looked around, wondering what you should do now that you were wide awake. soon enough, your eyes wandered down to the sight of a sleeping kazuha.
she’d never looked more at peace: eyes fluttered closed, her long eyelashes sticking out. her face was relaxed, the light streaming in from your windows coloring her in a soft glow that accentuated her long nose bridge, her hair plump lips, and her soft cheeks. she looked so small engulfed in her hoodie.
she looks so beautiful.
“you know i can feel you staring, right?”
breaking out of your lovesick daze, you snapped out of your reverie to see your girlfriend stretching awake and yawning. you tried to laugh it off. “psh, me? staring? you wish,” you playfully scoffed — exaggerated eye roll and everything.
“me when i lie,” she yawns as she reaches up to wrap her arms around your waist, drawing you closer to her lying body. once you’re close enough, she nuzzles herself into your waist, leaving you chuckling at the sight.
“what time is it?” you barely make out what she’s saying, but when you do, you reach over her for your phone.
“9:20,” you read out the time.
“eh?!“ she exclaimed (you still had to exert a little more effort to try to hear her, though). “still so early, y/n-ie,” she whined, hugging you closer and pretty much dragging you to lie back in bed with her.
“that is not early, zuha-chan!” you said exasperatedly, putting your phone down dramatically as you looked at the koala around your waist. “i’d be in my first period class around this time.”
“and we love that for you,” she deadpanned. rolling your eyes, you reached down to take her arms from off your waist.
“what are you doing?” she whined.
“i’ll go make us breakfast, zuha-chan. you can keep resting here, i’ll just bring you your food,” you reasoned out. she just mumbled something you couldn’t bother to make out anymore. you think she’s finally relented once you don’t feel her fighting back, allowing you to quietly get up and go out into the kitchen.
after taking out the ingredients you needed, you now found yourself standing by the stove, waiting for the oil to heat up before you could pour the eggs in.
once the eggs were in, you started moving them around in the pan with your spatula, ensuring that all sides were cooked evenly. you stared at the pan, so intently focused that you started zoning out and working on autopilot.
that was until long and lithe arms wrapped around your torso, pulling you out of your reverie and back into the real world. you felt a chin drop on your shoulder and someone’s front pressing up against your back. your heart began calming down after realizing it was just kazuha and not some stranger who’d magically broken into your house.
relishing in her embrace, a small smile graced your lips as you focused on your cooking. the girl behind you hummed. “smells good, babe,” she commented before nosing at your neck and leaving to set the table. you felt the heat rise up from that spot on your neck all the way up to your ears, and you hoped that if she noticed, she’d just chock it up to the heat from the stove.
the house was quiet, save for the shuffling around of feet, the clinks and clangs of kitchen utensils, the sizzle of the pan, and your soft humming. it was easy.
you and kazuha maneuvered around the kitchen and dining room as if it was a choreographed dance. soon enough, you’d set the food on the dishes she set out and brought them to the dining table while she readied up a glass of water for you both by your plates. you returned to the stove to put your dirty dishes in the sink, and when you turned back around, kazuha was already sat at her place, mindlessly staring at the table while zoning out.
the moment you sat down, you gently knocked on the table to get her attention. she jumped a little bit and blinked once before noticing your easy yet amused smile. she returned your smile with an equally bright yet tired smile, her eyes closing into crescents. you motioned to her food and she nodded in response, leaving you to munch down on your own food.
silence enveloped you both as you peacefully ate your breakfast. once you and kazuha had finished breakfast, you volunteered to bring your dishes to the sink since the girl was back to zoning off. after depositing the dishes, you walked behind the girl and wrapped your arms over her shoulders and rested your weight on the girl.
"penny for your thoughts, zuha-chan?" you mumbled.
"'m just tired," she replied.
rising from your position, you walked around her and made your way over to her lap. she immediately wrapped her arms around your waist as you did the same around her neck. she went back to burying her face in your neck and just stayed there for a while.
you brought the girl closer by cradling her head closer to you while she dragged you closer into her. you sighed. "that beat, zuha-chan? you slept like you were dead last night," you chuckled lightheartedly.
"just wanna stay like this," kazuha mumbled. "too much out there. too loud."
"then we can stay like this."
oh how you wished you could stay like this.

flash forward (hyj x f!reader)
a sequel to “2:28 am (hyj x f!reader)”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
genre: fluff || word count: 1.1k
author's note: this one's for my yunjinizers out there (especially @sahyoluvr and @haerinsupremacy who wanted a part 2 to the last one đŸ„č) i hope y'all enjoy!
you’d like to think you were a pretty lucky girl.
loving family? check. supportive friends? check. debuting in an incredibly successful girl group loved the world over with the most amazing girls? check.
your luck just can’t seem to run out, though, because every day since your little moment with huh yunjin in the practice room you’ve been able to survive every heart attack she’s given you since.
the clinginess was one thing — she was like that with the rest of the members! that’s nothing new.
but then came the serenades.
as promised by yunjin to fearnots on weverse, you and her finally got to go live together. affectionately dubbed the westernz for being the only fluent english speakers in the group, your pairing surprisingly wasn’t the most popular between either of you. on a good day, this fact wouldn’t bother you as much: you and jen would bond over taylor swift, the latest hit netflix show, or lurk around on twitter. then again, you couldn’t ignore the way your heart would clench when yunjin would praise your kkura-unnie or flirt with zuha and/or chaewon-unnie. (eunchae is fine, though. everyone loves manchae.) that’s just how it is: the status quo

that a certain someone seems to want to change.
“hana, dul, set; annyeong! hey guys!” yunjin waved excitedly at the camera as soon as the viewers started piling in.
“annyeong, guys! hello!” you greeted with your trademark bright smile, trying to match her energy.
“ja, yeoreobun, this is the first time you’re seeing us together, right?” yunjin asked the audience, holding her ear up to the phone as if awaiting their (nonexistent) responses.
okay, dora, you thought to yourself before deciding to put her out of her misery and enthusiastically going “ne!”
“alright, thanks for backing me up there, babe,” she remarked in english offhandedly before leaning forward to read the comments, distracting her enough to miss your wide eyes and flushed face.
yunjinizer: WHAT
yeppeuny/n: BABE??
"anywho, have you had dinner yet, yeoreobun?" there is no way in hell she did not see any of that with how she's kissing the screen. you returned to the matter at hand, leaning in closer to the screen to read everyone's responses.
everyone's responses that were 1) coherent and 2) not about yunjin's pda, that is.
the both of you continued interacting with fearnots like usual, telling them some behind stories from unforgiven promotions, a little bit about your pre-debut lives, and little anecdotes from mundane life.
soon enough, yunjin started getting tired. there's only so much an introvert could take.
so as her introvert in crime, you took the reins of the stream while she got comfortable.
yunjin leaned back on the couch, her left arm resting on her side as she scrolled through her phone while her right arm rested over the backrest of the couch: an action that went unnoticed until a well-timed question.
"ooh, this is a good one, jin-ah. 'what's your favorite song on unforgiven?'" you asked, slowly taking your eyes off the screen to turn to look at yunjin.
an action you would soon come to regret.
yunjin for my own heart for the love of god please sit like a straight girl and not like my girlfriend or something. your mind started racing a mile a minute thinking about what could be. how cozy she looked in her hoodie and how much it'd feel like home if you wore it: the smell and softness just overtaking your senses. and apparently all forms of thinking.
"y/n? is there something on my face?" she looked at you questioningly. yeah, me if you keep this up.
"oh, nothing," you muttered.
her features softened before shaking her head in amusement and reaching out to pull you in for a cuddle. out of the corner of your eye, you could see the comments just flying by.
y/nsgf: y/n what is this đŸ€š
yuny/n: I USED TO PRAY FOR TIMES LIKE THESE
junyin: are we interrupting something or...
as you settled into her embrace, she started repeating herself. "well, in case you didn't hear, i said that my favorite song on the album was 'flash forward'"
in surprise, you push yourself up from where you were leaning against her chest, resting your hands on her thighs.
"flash forward?! you're joking, right?" you bewilderedly ask.
"no...? why are you so surprised?" she shot back skeptically.
"i dont know, it just seemed so random. didn't you write like 3 songs for this album? with one of them being a fan song?!" you then turned to look at the camera: a yellingwoman on a mission. "wah, did you hear that, fearnots?"
"yah, don't go turning them around on me!" she yelled back, pulling you back into her. "if you would hear me out, you would know why."
you sulked against her chest, pout and all. "alright, you have one chance."
"i just think it's a fun song! it's not often we get to sing a cute lil' song about falling in love, you know?" she reasoned out.
you hummed in thought, finger to your chin and all as you said, "i guess you make a point."
"come on, let's sing it!" she said as she got up, taking her arms back to search for the song on her phone. you hope her phone was more interesting than your face dropping in disappointment.
as soon as you heard the telltale synths that marked the intro, yunjin reached over the camera to get her water bottle and use it like a microphone -- just in time for chaewon-unnie's lines.
"I know it's you," she sang, staring you straight in the eyes and pointing right at you. she kept singing along until she reached the end of the first verse before pointing the "mic" to you to sing the first half of the pre-chorus.
"You, ooh-ooh Got me, got me, got me goin' like," you sang before turning it back to her.
"Ooh-ooh-ooh 너와 있음 난 unstoppable”
“(Unstoppable)”
hearing your adlib, she chuckles. “It's not impossible ìŽëŠŹ 와 같읎 가,” she sings before taking over the chorus.
“I'ma make a move 썰맀같읎 go
êȁ도 없읎 fall in love 시작핎 ëČ„ë žì–Žâ€
you then take the “mic” back to sing the second half.
“빾멬, ì–Žêčš, 묮멎, 너의 눈, 윔, 입
너의 ëȘšë“  êȌ ìą‹ì€ 걞, ëč ì§€êł  싶은걞”
trapped in your own little bubble, you and yunjin went back and forth on the song, to the enjoyment of fearnots.
but that went unnoticed as you let yourself drown in the charm of the huh yunjin, singing her lines as if to tell you something.
i’m talking about you and i, y/n.
after your little impromptu performance, you both finally calmed down and decided to end the live there.
“alright guys, i think that’ll be it for us. we’re pretty beat,” yunjin said to the camera.
“yeah, we’ll end it there, guys. annyeong!” you both waved, mustering up enough energy to match the start before going to turn the live off.

teenage dream, track 7 (kcw x f!reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
genre: angst || word count: 1.2k
author’s note: taking a page out of my own life for content, what’s new ✌đŸ„č anyways thank u to ssamkkura anon for requesting this, i hope u all enjoy!
you knew the world was small, but you didn’t think it’d be small enough for you to run into your ex at jeon somi’s release party.
frozen in your place, you stared across the room at the love of your life leader of le sserafim chatting away with her group member and the party’s ever-charming hostess. the drink in your hand started to shake as the room grew stuffier. the lights, too bright; the crowd, too loud; her, too close.
i need to get out of here.
putting your drink down on the closest table, you made your way out of the room — anywhere but here. you kept your head down, mumbling apologies to the colleagues and seniors you may have bumped along the way, trying as hard as you could to not draw any attention to yourself. as soon as you opened the door to the balcony, you felt like you succeeded in your mission, and your reward was the blast of fresh air that greeted you. you made your way to the railing, hands gripping tight as if to ground yourself, as you closed your eyes and took a deep breath.
we’re not going through that again, alright, y/n? focus on the air around you, nothing else matters right now, you told yourself.
you let out a long exhale as you opened your eyes, taking in the scenery in front of you. once you thought you were ready to go back inside, you turned around, only to be greeted by the bane of your existence standing at the threshold between you and freedom.
kim chaewon.
the next thing you know, the wind is knocked out of you. you can’t breathe. you need to get out of here.
why did the most beautiful person in the world have to be the one to break my heart?
you shook your head, trying to fight the tears pooling in your eyes. with your head hung low, you attempted to push past her. the you from a year ago would’ve rather died than hurt the girl.
but that was before she hurt you first.
so maybe the shove was a little stronger than intended. but anything to make her feel the way you did when she walked out the door.
you were two steps away from freedom, but not before you felt her grab at your wrist like a claw — a shackle.
“let’s talk, y/n. please.” you could hear the desperation in her tone. you could feel her eyes boring into the back of your head, imagining that her eyebrows are drawn together towards the center.
you collected yourself, closing your eyes and sighing before turning around to face her.
“i have nothing left to say to you,” you replied, getting ready to walk away again before she tugged on your wrist.
“please?”
you’d always prided yourself on being level-headed. sometimes, it felt like you were ive’s leader with how much you’d have to stop yujin from sneaking out with the maknaes. it was one of your charms.
the second you relented, you knew you were sinking.
with an exasperated eye roll, you switched your positions so that now your hand was wrapped around her lithe wrist as you turned and dragged her back to the balcony. once you’ve settled, you dragged her to stand in front of you.
“okay, talk,” you urged her, arms crossed across your chest.
“how’ve you been lately?” she asked, trying to lighten the mood with a chuckle.
“chaewon
”
“okay, fine,” she relented with a sigh. “i
don’t quite know why i wanted to talk to you again.”
“i think i have an idea,” you replied. “and i don’t like where this is going.”
you sighed. this was gonna be a long night.
“i don’t want to be with you anymore.”
“what?” chaewon asked, eyes wide incredulously. you nodded, “yup.”
had this happened any other time at all in the past year, you would’ve been on your knees begging for her to take you back. you would’ve done anything she asked you to in a heartbeat.
it was about time you took back your own heart.
it’s funny how time works out, isn’t it?
“it’s just been so tiring, you know?” you chuckled. “for the last year, i’d been holding on to you, to what you said. ‘anything can happen,’ isn’t that what you said?
was that your way of keeping me at arm’s length?”
you asked no one in particular. you had too much to say yet too little all at the same time.
you gave her no chance to rebut. not that she was going to, by the way her mouth were sealed tight, biting at her bottom lip. she looked like she was about to cry.
and you couldn’t find it in yourself to care anymore.
“you said we’d be friends, and then what happened? one-sided conversations, avoiding each other’s gaze in the halls, turned-down outings
”
“how can you blame me for that? i’ve been busy!” she finally blew up at you, arms flailing about. you just shook your head.
“i wasn’t blaming you, i was just trying to make you see my side,” you replied calmly. “you said we’d be friends after we broke up, but i guess life just doesn’t work out like that. i guess they were right, you can never be friends with your ex,” you sighed wistfully.
“i should’ve known i couldn’t have all of your attention again, that’s on me. but now, i realize that we’re in such different points in our lives now. you and i are such different people now. i don’t know how that would work,” you said.
“i’m rambling at this point, but i guess what i want to say is that we had a good run. let’s just leave it at that,” you looked up at her with a small smile.
you didn’t expect to get rammed with a hug, arms frantically wrapped tight around your neck. chaewon buried her head in your neck. you could hear the sniffles, and you could feel the tears against your neck. you just wrapped your arms around her waist, relishing in what could be your last moments with the girl. for a while, you patted her head comfortingly while waiting for the girl to calm down.
eventually, she pulled away from you. her arms remained around your neck, and yours around her waist.
“i guess you’re right,” she mumbled, looking down in shame. “i wasn’t thinking straight. it was selfish of me to think i could just take you back.”
you shook your head with a chuckle. “if you’d asked earlier, i would’ve. it’s funny how time works out.”
“yeah, you’re right,” she says with a shake of her head, detaching herself from you. you did the same, arms resting by your side.
“well, i guess this is it,” she says with finality.
“i guess this is,” you agree.
“i hope we could still be friends later on, though,” she trails off.
“we’ll have to see, anything’s possible, you know?” you throw back at her teasingly. “when the time comes, i’ll stop being a stranger.”
“noted. thank you, y/n,” she says.
“i’m sorry, chaewon,” you reply, before walking back into the party and out of her life as you close the door to the balcony.

tears of the kingdom (ayj x f!reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
genre: fluff || word count: 1.7k
author's note: two works in a day, who is she?? anyways my kitsch obsession gave birth to my jock yujin fixation and then this came about so i hope y'all enjoy mwamwa
"zelda...zelda...where is it?"
maybe there was a god up there because the sequel to one of your favorite games of all time, the legend of zelda: tears of the kingdom, happened to come out on the last day of your final exams of the year. you'd been skipping lunch since the game was announced so that you could pick up a copy for yourself on release day. and now here you were, scanning the wall of small titles against bright red spines looking for your well-deserved reward.
mumbling to yourself, your eyes repeatedly raked over the switch covers while debating with yourself whether you should cut your losses and just ask the lone worker by the counter. which you'd rather die than do -- the only person you'd want to be talking to is princess zelda, thank you very much.
a certain someone didn't get the memo, apparently.
"um, hey," you heard from beside you. everyone and their mother could recognize that voice anywhere.
"you're y/n, right? i'm yujin, we go to school together."
of course i know who you are, ahn yujin. resident quarterback, heartthrob, and obnoxious little sh--"oh yeah, that's me," you ended up saying.
don't get it twisted: you definitely saw the appeal if she just wasn't so. damn. loud. your morning would be perfect: birds chirping, wind blowing, and food digesting until you'd hear yujin and her cronies pass the halls making way too much noise for 6:30 in the morning.
"oh thank god, someone who can help me," she sighed in relief. your curiosity was piqued: why was yujin in a video game store at 9pm on a friday night when jang wonyoung was throwing a huge rager on the other side of town (whether or not you were invited is unimportant).
"you do know there's someone who gets paid to do that right over there, right?" you remarked with a raise of your eyebrow.
"i mean, i guess you're right, but i could say the same for you."
how long had she been standing there then?! and how did she notice that...
"touche."
she beamed, showing off her charming eye smile. "well, can you help me?"
"with...?" you asked apprehensively. if there was anything you were known for, it was for reading into things way too much. your friends would go to you last for anything because of how much time you spent directing every little happening. what if i'm being punk'd and the whole football team is outside ready to burst through with their cameras and--
"um, my friend sakura's birthday is coming up and i wanted to get her this game," she pulled up google and then showed you her phone. "you know it?"
lo and behold, there was the cover art for the very game you were looking for.
"oh yeah, i know it. i've been looking for it here too, actually, but it doesn't look like there's any on the shelves."
"huh," she remarked with a pout. cute--wait, what?
"i mean, we could try asking the guy over there? you know, the one who gets paid to look for it?" i asked, looking over to the tall and lanky boy who sat behind the counter who looked like he'd rather be anywhere else.
she chuckled. "well, i guess you're right."
on the short trip across the store, your mind would not. shut. up.
wait, she knows kkura-unnie? but her and kkura-unnie could not be farther from each other on the high school food chain. then again, anything is possible: this is a world where ahn yujin could act all shy and quiet, notice me talking to myself, and look like a puppy dressed in her varsity hoodie and cyclers instead of partying it up with the rest of the school.
"excuse me, do you have this game in stock?" she asked the boy -- whose name tag read 'felix' -- expectantly.
"hm, we've only got one copy left though," felix replied after checking the stack of switch games under the counter and placing the lone copy on it.
you and yujin looked at each other, eyes wide, and going through your own dilemmas.
"oh, really...?" you asked.
"yeah, a bunch of people came to pick up some copies throughout the day."
"hm, alright. well, she'll take it," yujin said.
felix hummed in acknowledgement and scanned the game while you looked over at the girl in disbelief.
"but..."
"kkura-unnie's birthday isn't until sunday; i've got time. come on, felix is waiting for your payment."
you didn't even register him telling you the price because you were just staring at this girl. what in the...
"oh, i'm sorry. here you are," you said as you took out your weeks worth of allowance. yujin noticed your face scrunch up as you passed over $70 in cash to felix and couldn't suppress her little chuckle.
you both made your way out of the store with yujin holding the door open for you and the rest of the store to be met with a gust of cold, refreshing night air.
"are you sure you don't want this game? it might be hard to find tomorrow -- i mean, you saw how this was the last copy they had in stock..." you turned your body to face her, arms flailing about as you spoke. all you were met with was an easy smile from the star quarterback.
"don't sweat it, y/n. i saw that you really wanted it and besides, my presence is enough of a gift for kkura-unnie, don't you think? she'll understand," she replied cheekily, causing you to roll your eyes in response.
"anyways, i'll get going, bye yujin!"
"wait! do you need a ride home? it's pretty late, don't you think?"
"don't sweat it, yujinnie," you turned her words around on her. "my house isn't much farther from here."
"don't you live nearby wonyoungie?"
"yes...? how'd you know that?"
"i've been known to be observant," she replied nonchalantly.
"is that just code for 'stalker' or..."
"yah!" exasperated at the accusation, she hit your shoulder.
"i'm kidding, i'm kidding, god did you have to hit me?!"
her eyes went wide in worry. " i am so s--"
"stalker, violent, man, wait until the school hears the truth about their resident heartthrob," you joked, trying to ease her worries, which seems to have worked when you saw her shoulders relax and her trademark smile take over her features.
"anyways, let me give you a ride home. i was going to go over to wonyoung's anyways," she said.
"if you insist," you replied.
quietly, you both made your way over to her car. she opened the door for you before making her way over to the driver's side, the action making you raise your eyebrows before getting inside. she turned on the ignition and reminded you to put your seatbelt on.
"i'm not an idiot," you rolled your eyes.
"better safe than sorry, y/n. i wouldn't want your blood on my hands."
your eyes might as well have been seeing the back of your skull with how much you'd been rolling your eyes at the girl. when she heard the buckle click, she started making her way out of the parking lot and onto the main road.
around strangers, you were usually reserved. you pretty much just flew around the school like a ghost, doing your own things with no one minding you. it took a while for you to get talkative.
it took one night for ahn yujin. what can you say, the girl was interesting.
"i'm curious, how do you know kkura-unnie?"
"oh, we go to the same dance class every weekend."
she dances?! "you dance?!"
"is that so surprising?" she spared you a glance before focusing back on the road. she's got precious cargo after a--what?
"kinda, yeah. i'm learning a lot about you, ahn yujin."
"only good things, i'm hoping."
"very good things, yujinnie."
after talking about anything and everything, you realized she'd already pulled up to the front of your house.
"well, here you are."
"oh. alright," you replied, the disappointment evident in your tone. you were about to open the door when yujin spoke up.
"hey, i don't know about you, but i had a lot of fun, y/n. if you're down, do you wanna hang out again...?" she looked over at you like she was preparing for the worst.
all you gave her was a small smile. "i'd love to, yujinnie."
her entire face brightened up and then she grabbed a marker from her glove compartment. you just stared at her as she grabbed your hand and wrote her phone number down, your face heating up slowly but surely.
"text me, okay?"
"alright, yujinnie. go enjoy your party!" you said as you walked out and closed the door.
"and go enjoy your game, y/n. good night!" she called out and waited for you to go inside your house before driving off.
6 months later...
your morning could not have gotten any worse. you slept in, skipped breakfast, and it was raining like hell. the rowdy quarterbacks were basically drowned out by the storm.
which explains why you didn't notice her until you felt a heavy yet comforting jacket resting on your shoulders, followed by slender arms wrapping around your shoulders. you looked up and saw ahn yujin: star quarterback, quiet lover, and your heartthrob.
"hey," she looked down at you with an easy smile. you smiled back, although it looked a lot more like a grimace as your lips formed a thin line and your cheeks puffed up.
"i saw your messages. i brought you a croissant," she said while placing the paper bag on your desk.
"thank you, yujinnie," you said while wrapping your arms around her waist and tightening your hold on the girl. past y/n would be screaming, crying, throwing up at this, you thought to yourself. she hummed before leaving a soft kiss on the crown of your head.
"i'll go ahead, but i hope your morning gets better, love. are we still on for later?" she asked expectantly. you chuckled. "of course we are, yujinnie. go now!" you said as you playfully shoved her away. she ran off, but not without sparing you one last glance: the same one that got you hooked all those months ago.
"eh?! you're dating yujin-ah?!" you heard from beside you. your eyes went wide as sakura's unmistakeable voice finally settled in.
this'll be a long morning...

out of time (kmj x f!reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
genre: angst w/ a happy ending || word count: 1.9k author's note: i'd like to thank myself for making a playlist that's been creatively inspiring me recently and for being able to turn trauma into clout ANYWAYS hope y'all enjoy this one mwamwa
"okay, how're we feeling about this?"
you give yourself a once over in the mirror before turning to your sister for her opinion.
"i mean, it's giving date, you know?"
"really?" would she think so?
"it does. it looks great, but riddle me this: why are you trying so hard to look good?"
because i want her to see how much i've grown. how much...better i am than before. "because why not? you know me, i'm always dressing to impress."
"alright..." your sister trails off, giving you one last look that went unnoticed before going back to her phone and scrolling through her reels.
you grabbed your purse, double checking to see if everything you needed was there ("okay: wallet, id, charger, tissue...earphones alright i'm set") and made your way out the front door toward your car.
the drive was quiet with nothing but the hum of the engine and the weeknd's out of time filling the void. being the introvert you are, you enjoyed times like these. the world's too noisy, anyways; it was nice to let your thoughts run wild.
god, i can't wait to see her again. it's been, what, 3 years? since we last saw each other?
i wonder how this'll go, though. we haven't had a proper conversation in ages, coupled with the fact that i'm more of a listener than a talker, i just hope today will be fun.
but what if the conversation dies? good lord i'd rather shrivel up and die than have that happen--then again, though, we're friends: awkward silences should be comfortable. wait--are we friends? she said we could stay friends after the break up but everything i've heard from her has been secondhand; she never tells me things. she's also not obligated to tell me things anymore anyways but...the thought that i might not mean as much to her as she does to me still stings...
before you knew it, you'd arrived at the mall. shaking away all those thoughts, you got out of the car and started making your way to the mall entrance, all the while texting her.
y/n: heyy just arrived, wya?
min <3: yoo, im just at the music store. meet me here?
y/n: geurae, see ya soon!
with purpose in each step, you pocketed your phone and made your way over to the store where you both agreed to meet up. as you pulled up to the front, you caught a glimpse of the girl through the glass window with a racing heart. you've always imagined how your first meeting after so long would go, but nothing could've prepared you for the overwhelming weight on your chest seeing her in real life again -- even if it was just the back of her head.
you must've been shooting lasers at her skull because at once, she turned around and saw you. her eyes widened before a smile took over her whole face, turning her eyes into little crescents.
still as gorgeous as ever.
you returned the sentiment before you both started walking towards each other, meeting at the entrance of the music store. she opened her arms up, inviting you into a hug that ended right as it started. you tried to mask your disappointment at the fact you couldn't settle in and give her a proper bear hug when she pulled away and looked at you.
looked down at you, that is.
"my gosh, y/n, even after all this time you're still giving me neck problems!"
you looked back up at her, mouth wide in mock offense before you went in for the punch. "yah, watch it, kim minji."
"i'm kidding, im kidding! you know i missed you."
so did i.
"so, have you eaten yet?" minji asked, curiosity lacing her deep voice that still manages to have you swooning.
"nope. what about you?"
"nada. let's grab some lunch?"
"geurae."
walking in step with each other, you both started looking for possible restaurants that you both liked and also didn't dent your wallets. you settled on a cute little cafe that was pretty empty. you held the door open for her, which she then thanked you for.
"go find us a seat while i order."
"alright, i'll have a--"
"croissant and iced chocolate, right?"
"yeah..." i drink coffee now though.
even with all the free tables, you decided to take the one farthest away from the entrance. you took the couch seat so that you could put your things down beside you and stare from afar.
okay, you're doing good so far, y/n. just don't fuck this up and you'll get your girlfriend back. the small talk is small talking, it's not awkward, it's just like old times!
while you waited for minji to return to your table, you pulled your phone out and started scrolling through your instagram. you browsed through people's stories, giving them a once-over before clicking to the next one, until you reached minji's finsta account.
you found the account a long while after your break up. hesitant at first to shoot a follow request, you ended up asking for one to which she accepted a few days later.
once you made it in, you felt just a little bit closer to her again. she posted every second of every day about anything and everything: her favorite boy group, family troubles, and a potential crush.
when you first saw these stories, and every viewing afterward, you always exited the app, jumped up, and found something else to do. we're not together, so who cares if she had her eye on someone else? you'd always reason out. over the months, the ache in your heart started to weaken every time you'd see one of these stories, the promise of "if it's meant to be, it'll be" that you held so tightly onto stopped leaving callouses on your hand.
nonetheless, you still gripped on. every mention of her crush that resembled you even the slightest bit made you hold on even tighter until the next story.
out of the corner of your eye, you saw a tray being set on the table. you looked up at minji as she moved to transfer the food, hoping she could see the adoration that lingered in your eyes. you gave up, moving to help out instead when you saw that the tray's contents had just been unloaded onto your table. you pouted a little bit, taking your phone out to take a few pictures before putting it down and getting ready to dig in. as you ate, you and minji caught up on your families, friends, and new opportunities.
("wait, you're the new director of photography for your magazine? that's amazing, y/n!"
i was hoping you'd be proud of me; you were the one who pushed me to do this, is what you wanted to say.
what came out was a shy smile as you went to pick at your croissant instead, muttering a small "thanks, min.")
you talked about almost everything...except the new (old(?)) apple of her eye.
"so, has anyone caught your eye recently?"
you hesitated to ask for a plethora of reasons: she's your ex, and part of you didn't want to know the answer. then again, she was your friend too. don't friends talk about this stuff? you reasoned out.
she looked a little surprised, eyes wide and all, before she cleared her throat and started acting bashful. "i'm guessing you've seen my stories?"
"they're kinda hard to miss."
"yah!"
"i'm kidding! kinda. anyways, who is it?"
"why do you want to know?" she asked embarrassedly. because i want to know who i'm up against, i want to know if i'm better...i want to know where i fell short. "because we're friends, aren't we? i wanna know!"
"alright, alright. um...you know pham hanni?"
how could i not? she's the batch's ace: amazing singer, songwriter, all around artist, not to mention, extremely pretty.
she's everything i wish i was, is what i would've said.
"oh, i'm familiar with her, yeah," is what came out instead.
minji then stared going on about the details: why and when she started falling for the viet artist, how they got to know each other, and whether or not she stood a chance.
"i'm really confused because i feel like she's been sending me hints, but at the same time, i don't want to assume, you know?"
throughout all of this, you noticed how expressive and excited talking about the girl; how her eyes would light up just thinking about her. you thought the sight would make the rope around your heart tighten.
instead, you felt it loosen. like you were being set free.
you knew she was in good hands.
just not yours.
"well, what hints has she been dropping?"
"you know how we're both into music, right? that's how we got close?" you nodded. "every time she sends me song recommendations, they're always love songs. i mean, last time, it was would you be so kind? by dodie," you chuckled at how loud and rushed she'd gotten. "that's got to mean something, right?! tell me i'm not delusional."
months ago, you would've easily given in, telling her she was out of her mind. seeing her this happy, though? you had to be honest, especially after all those moments she filled you in on.
"well, from my expert opinion, i feel like you should go for it," you said without a single ounce of malice. you missed seeing her smile, regardless of the cause.
that, and you saw the vision.
you two kept talking about anything and everything until a certain hime cutted-girl approached your table. you looked up and saw the object of minji's affection. eyes wide, you greeted her hello. she returned the greeting with a bright smile. just like me, huh? she chose well. across from you, you saw minji beet red and covering her hair with her face.
"oh, are you guys hanging out?"
"yeah, but i was just about to leave, actually," you saw minji's eyes widen out of the corner of your eye as you stood to leave. "duty calls, you know?"
"so i've heard! congrats on that, by the way, you deserve it."
"thank you, hanni," you nodded in acknowledgement. "well, i'll leave you guys to it. the little mermaid's just come out, you guys should go watch it!"
"we just might. see you around, y/n!" you waved back at them, sending minji a look that held everything you were feeling before shooting her a wink and a smile and walking away.
the walk back to the car was quiet. as you switched on the ignition, your phone connected to the car immediately and started continuing where you left off with out of time before getting so rudely interrupted by a message notification. you picked your phone to read what it said.
min <3: i'm sorry our lunch got cut short, y/n, but i hope you had fun! i know i did hehe
you chuckled at the message.
y/n: no worries, min-ah. go get your girl! i'm happy for you.
you replied to her message before going into your contacts.
minji: thank you, y/n. know that i'll always be rooting for you. fighting!
a small smile took over your face as you put your phone down to drive off.
Say I love you, girl, but I'm out of time Say I'm there for you, but I'm out of time (no) Say that I'll care for you, but I'm out of time (hey) Said, I'm too late to make you mine, out of time (ah)

“jen!”
yunjin perked up at the sound of your voice like a puppy. she’d been drained after a day of drinks and hijinks at your mutual friend’s beach house and was quite close to passing out until your voice gave her a shot of energy.
“hey, you,” she replied with an easy smile on her face. easy. that’s how it felt with you.
easy to talk to.
easy to like.
easy to fall for.
god i’m a terrible friend, yunjin berated herself in her head. sitting pretty on the loveseat with her long legs crossed and blonde tresses falling past broad shoulders, she radiated calm and comfort while she was at war with herself. seeing you walk up to her with her worn out taylor swift shirt on — looks better on her than it ever did on me, she mused — and wet hair dripping all over the wood floors has her heart doing somersaults.
and god did she wish it didn’t.
before she knew it, you were right in front of her. “is this seat taken?” you asked cheekily. yunjin mumbled in denial while you made yourself comfortable. she felt her heart race as you settled in and hoped you wouldn’t feel it as she wrapped her arms around your waist. she missed the days when this did nothing to her. when you were just her best friend.
“look at this,” you whispered excitedly while holding your phone up to show her some meme you found. yunjin hummed noncommittally as she peeked over your shoulder. don’t even bother asking her about the color of no damn zebra because as soon as she caught a whiff of your shampoo she started spiraling. did her hair always smell this good? she wondered. you’d leaned back into her and she rested her chin on your shoulder. everything you were saying was going in one ear and coming out of the other while she started to zone out.
how in the world can someone be this pretty. and so sweet too. anyone would be lucky enough to date her. i wish i was that lucky person. i mean, we already look the part, don’t we? we already act the part too. i’m always waiting up on her after class, she’s always sleeping over at my place, and in my bed too! if i took a shot for every time someone asked if we were together after seeing our polaroid at the back of my phone i would’ve been long gone.
yunjin’s grip on your waist tightened while you rambled on about something that happened at work.
if this is what it’d be like if we were together, she thought as she nuzzled her nose into your neck, why in god’s name aren’t we?
“babe!” chaewon called out from the kitchen.
right. that’s why, yunjin mused as you got up from her lap to meet up with your girlfriend in the other room. “coming!” you singsonged. yunjin watched your figure get smaller as she lied back on the loveseat, closing her eyes and letting out a deep sigh.
i need some air. and maybe a drink.

1.
“how the hell did they do this
”
wednesdays were your least favorite day of the week for one reason only: your industrial arts class.
i mean, who’d enjoy getting drenched in their own sweat while trying to play around with rulers every week?
i’m not even gonna be an architect, why do i have to learn this? you thought to yourself as you were hunched over your armchair, trying to replicate what your seatmate had done before he triumphantly got up and walked to the teacher’s table for checking.
you erased your circle
thing for what felt like the millionth time, your eraser shavings and crumpled-up bond paper being the only thing you could show for yourself after almost an hour. you stared at it for a second before swiping the eraser shavings off from your desk (along with your insecurities) and hunched over, ready to try again before a shadow loomed over you.
everything passed by and all you could do was stare in awe at the girl who took one look at your paper, hummed, and pulled up a chair beside you to finish the job. you were frozen; not even processing how softly she took the compass from your hand.
you snapped back to reality just in time to see her finish your plate activity with a flick of her wrist. literally.
she took one more look at it and hummed before putting your compass down and getting up to fall in line and have her work checked.
you all but stared as she leans against the board nonchalantly, not knowing if and how you should thank her for saving your grades -- only for the five-minute warning bell to remind you that her effort would be fruitless if you didn't go up beside her to line up.
in a rush, you haphazardly grabbed your paper and rushed to take the spot beside her, leaning against the board alongside her. your eyes travelled the room, observing the whole scene.
soon enough, you met the gaze of your savior.
surprised, you broke eye contact and suddenly found the wooden flooring much more interesting — an amusing sight to said savior.
you mustered up the courage to thank her while she was close, but you must’ve missed how the line had been moving since the next thing you knew, she was walking away from the teacher’s desk.
2.
“oh, i’m screwed
”
sitting at your assigned desk for your final exams, what was running through your mind wasn't the math formulas you had to memorize, no. instead, it was about how you could've -- should've -- reviewed your math lessons last night instead of napping the whole day.
what was that you kept saying, y/n? it’s all common sense?
noting the mini study group that formed behind you, you moved your chair closer to their circle, hoping that whatever they were talking about would stick around long enough to get you through the exam. you took a peak at the notes that were sprawled across the desk — and your future crumbling before your eyes.
you leaned back in your chair. just smile and laugh, folks, you thought as a defeated chuckle spilled out. you heaved out a deep sigh and looked up at the ceiling, resigning to your fate and deciding that napping would be a much better way to spend your time. you dragged your chair back to your seat and rested your head on your desk, ready to go off to dreamland before you felt a tap on your shoulder.
you let out a groan loud enough to make sure the perp was aware that you were not pleased by the interruption. with furrowed brows, you got up and looked around for whoever wanted to be on top of your kill list.
instead, you found a stack of well-organized notes on your desk; hope this helps - g.e, the sticky note on top read.
needless to say, that test was a piece of cake -- considering how you breezed through it with 30 minutes left to spare.
so did your savior, apparently.
when you turned your test over, you sat up and looked around at the rest of your classmates who were still hunched over and struggling through the test. all except one who met your gaze.
you gave her a small smile and nodded in acknowledgment. she returned the greeting before facing forward at the proctor's insistence, playing around with her pen to pass the time.
3.
"what the hell?!"
a lot of things made you go, "what the hell?!" but you'd never "what the hell?!"-ed more than you had today.
the project that your pe teacher just sprung on you guys about making a dance routine, the fact that your friends ditched you to pair up with each other, and the sight of gaeul-sunbae approaching you--wait what?
"hey, you wanna pair up for this?" she asked casually. all you could do was stare at her dumbfoundedly.
and let out a single syllable.
"huh?"
"well, i just noticed that all your other friends paired up with each other, so why not?"
"i mean...i don't see why not?"
"okay, so i'll make the choreo and send you the video. just follow it, and then i'll edit the whole thing together. shouldn't take that long," she said with finality before walking off to the bleachers, leaving you to think about what the hell just happened.
wait, that's it? am i really going to get hard-carried by gaeul-sunbae for a whole project without talking to her at all?!
exasperated at the realization, you huffed and puffed your way across the gymnasium, eyes locked on your target while everyone else's eyes were locked on you. the whispers were as good as white noise to you because your ears were fuming with steam at your sunbae.
why?
you were about to find out as well.
"yah!"
surprised at the intrusion, gaeul looked up at you with wide eyes. "um, yes?"
"what the hell is your deal?! why do you keep helping me?"
she calmly stood up, making sure to avoid your flailing arms. "well--"
"does this stroke your ego or something?!"
"wait, what? that--"
"oh, of course it does! i'm like your damsel in distress, huh? well newsflash, sunbae," you emphasized the title by pointing at her chest so hard she sat back down, "i can help myself."
with an annoyed eye roll, gaeul stood back up, holding your wrists together and bringing them down, making your resolve falter.
"that's no way to treat your sunbae, is it? especially one who's been so nice to you," she scoffed.
under her scrutinizing gaze, you were left speechless.
"you're lucky you're cute. now close that pretty mouth of yours, would you? wouldn't want any flies flying in.
unless you need my help there, too?" she asked while gently holding your chin between her index finger and thumb, closing your mouth and making you look up at her.
with a tut, she tapped your chin one more time. "now, if you excuse me, i'll get working on our project."

friday, i’m in love (kyr x f!reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
genre: fluff || word count: 570 words
author’s note: yeri doesn’t get enough love also i don’t know how this sprung about but it did, hope y’all enjoy mwa mwa đŸ«¶đŸ˜Œ
beep!
you’d been knocked right out of your reverie. jolting up from looking down at your table full of scattered notes, you rushed out of your seat to peek through your curtains and see what the fuss was about, but at the back of your mind, you knew exactly who’d be honking out your window at 2 am.
kim yerim.
beep!
the second you got a glimpse of the world outside your bedroom, the second honk came. you rushed to move the curtains aside and pull the window open to poke your head out, eyes wide open, head shaking furiously while making the “cut it out” repeatedly.
“yah!” you’d whispered in a rush. “quit that, would you? my parents are asleep!”
“so is everyone else on this street, they’re not special,” she challenged you from where she stood hanging out of the driver’s side window.
“shh! what the hell do you want at this hour?” you let out exasperatedly. she let out a gasp.
god, she’s an insufferable idiot, you thought to yourself.
“did the y/n just swear? oh heavens no, this can’t be! not in her parents’ home, under the watchful eye of our lord and savior,” she said — wide expressions, animated bounces and waving arms; theatrics and all.
you chuckled, head dropping in fondness. yerim took a good look at you — how the soft, yellow glow of your lamp shone on from behind you, making you look ethereal. even with your glasses askew, the shower headband and low ponytail combo coupled with a fresh-faced, no make up look, she thought you’d never looked more beautiful. that’s my girl, she thought.
“take a picture, maybe. it’ll last longer,” you said to her in the quiet of the night.
but she’s my insufferable idiot.
“i’d rather live in the moment, n/n,” she replied without missing a beat. “besides, no picture could ever do you justice.”
“take a page out of seungwan’s book?”
“nope, all me,” she replied with a cheeky grin.
“why’re you here again?” you asked.
“i’m hungry,” she responded.
“you know the diner is like, right down the road, right?” you’d said with a chuckle.
“and leave you to study? on a friday night? never. come on! my treat.”
you shook your head and went back inside while closing the window and shutting the curtains. next thing yerim knew, the lights were off — not only in your bedroom but also in her eyes. trying to brush off the disappointment, she climbs back into her green, beat-down pick up truck, just about to start the ignition when she heard the unmistakeable sound of her passenger door opening.
“why the long face, yerm?” you pondered. “if treating me’s that bad then you know i have no problem pa—“ you couldn’t even finish your spiel because the next thing you knew, a certain brown-haired driver was pulling on your wrist to get you to face her, only to plant a soft and chaste kiss on your lips. even if it didn’t even last two seconds, it still left you dazed.
“what was that for?” you whispered after she pulled away, still feeling her proximity to you. she pulled back completely, facing the road and turning on the ignition. “no reason,” she replied easily before driving off.
I don't care if Monday's blue
Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too
Thursday, I don't care about you
It's Friday, I'm in love
