to  tack  on  to  my  last  post ,     padmé  is  SO  stubborn ,     and  she  will  not  let  anyone  push  her  around.          she  believes  in  the  republic’s  system ,     and  she’s  willing  to  work  the  system.          she  talks  back  to ,     and  commands ,     anakin  multiple  times,     and  as  queen  defies  captain  panaka’s  wishes  multiple  times  to  do  what  she  thinks  is  right  /  fitting  for  her  and  her  handmaidens.          padmé  has  a  gentle ,     compassionate  heart ,     but  she’s  still  just  as  willful ,     and  sometimes  even  difficult ,     as  leia.

despite  the  existence  of  translators ,     padmé  knows  a  lot  about  other  worlds’  languages  and  cultures.          she  does  plenty  of  research  before  going  to  another  planet ,     not  just  because  she  feels  it’s  the  respectful  thing  to  do ,     but  also  because  she  feels  you  can  learn  many  things  from  other  cultures  and  planets.          she  can  speak  many  different  languages  maybe  not  fluently ,     but  certainly  well  enough  to  hold  a  conversation.

everyone  associates  luke  with  padmé  because  of  his  gentleness ,     which  is  absolutely  true  and  a  quality  that  padmé  has     ━━━━     not  counting  the  fact  that  padmé  and  luke  both  believed  in  anakin  until  the  very  end     ━━━━     but  leia  is  very  much  like  padmé  as  well.          we  remember  the  soft ,     mothering  side  of  padmé ,     but  not  the  political ,     blaster  -  toting ,     stubborn ,     call  -  to  -  action  side  of  her  that  is  very  much  shown  and  ingrained  in  leia.          anakin  was  a  gentle  child ,     who  always  wanted  to  help  people  and  be  a  hero ;     that’s  what  we  primarily  see  in  luke.          they  both  possess  the  best  qualities  of  both  of  their  parents.

padmé  loves  reading  before  bed,     on  long  trips  and  /  or  when  she’s  getting  ready.          it’s  these  brief  moments  she’s  able  to  get  the  time  in,     and  this  is  only  if  she’s  not  being  debriefed  or  putting  together  a  plan  of  action,     whether  for  a  senate  case  or  preparing  for  the  day.          she  loves  books  of  all  kinds,     but  romance  and  history  tales  are  her  favorites.          she  believes  in  learning  from  those  who  came  before  you,     and  knows  that  as  a  republic  senator  it’s  important  to  know  as  much  as  possible.

romance,     fairytales,     and  old  naboo  stories  are  ones  she  holds  very  close  to  her  heart  though,     the  latter  two  she  used  to  read  at  night  long  when  she  was  meant  to  be  asleep.
