Temptation by Pixy

- Intro (End of the Forest): 7/10; it just has that creepy whispering and fastness which I enjoy and then when it picks up it feels very ethereal! Good for an intro!

- Addicted: 10/10; literally just so good, I think one of their best songs- the other being bewitched 💀 everything about it slaps and hits every part of my brain perfectly. The bridge is just tew good and then into that high note by Ella?¿ *chefs kiss*

- Bewitched (Kor. Version): 9/10; it’s one of their best songs so it’s amazing but how it sounds in Korean just has a different feel that I don’t know brings it up to the English versions flawlessness. 🎵samkyeo🎵 plus the choreo for this song is just so- difficult and cunt and amazing, I wish I could watch the mv again for the first time

- Moonlight: 7/10; 🎵when you touch me- ooh I can’t feel my legs🎵 the high note slaps too

- Still With Me (To.Winxy): 6/10; not a big fan of ballads or slower songs unless they really pop out to me and this…the high notes and feeling behind their voices are enjoyable though

- Bewitched (Eng. Version): 10/10; this song being in English just makes it this much better, everything sounds so good and it just sounds right. Their best song besides addicted, whenever I hear this I can’t help but get up and dance. 🎵 Nothing else will get my attention (Hey) Seeing you, I lost to temptation (Hmm) Yeah, you got me chained by my wings Got me locked in your touch And you know I'm addicted Girls gotta situation Tied up in a chain and See the beauty in the pain Now invite me Empty out my soul and I wanna be yours I just want you to control I don't wanna see you, let me go🎵

- Moonlight (Eng. Version): 7/10; tbh I didn’t remember that there was an English version to this song 💀💀

Final Rating: 8/10

Bewitched and Addicted just drag this album up so hard. They are such good songs and true art! I’m so happy that the girls lately have been getting more attention and had their giant tour, I wish I could’ve seen them but I am poor 💀 but yeah, bewitched is an iconic song and probably one of the best songs to come from 4th gen.

PIXY | Fairyforest : Temptation

Fairyforest : Temptation est le second mini-album du groupe PIXY. Les chansons ayant été mis en avant pour la promotion de l'EP sont : Addicted & Bewitched. Composé de neufs track, le mini album se divise en plusieurs parties : 5 originals tracks, 2 versions anglaises, 2 instrumentals tracks. Pour cette review je vais uniquement m'occuper des 5 originals tracks & non des clip vidéos.

01. INTRO  ( END OF THE FOREST ) | vidéo clip

Comme chaque chaque album, l'intro résume parfaitement l'album. Sombre et énigmatique l'album veut dégager une ambiance basée sur la tentation, puis on enchaîne avec un aperçu de toutes les musiques pendant deux minutes. On remarque rapidement le petit clin d'oeil à l'album.

02. Addicted | vidéo clip

La chanson possède une mélodie simple et dark à la fois, une vibe mystérieuse enveloppe cette chanson aux paroles assez confuse sur le thème de l'addiction. Je ne retiens que le vocal de Lola & Dia, puis la légèreté de Ella. Le bridge passe complètement inaperçu, j'ai l'impression que pour bien le remarquer il faut regarder le clip, mais musicalement c'est gros loupé. La chanson se laisse écouter dans la continuité de l’intro, puisqu'elle est liée directement.

03. Bewitched | vidéo clip

Toujours dans l'ambiance sombre avec une légère touche de pop et quelques effets glitchy. Une chanson qui se démarque rapidement de Addicted, et qui est pour moi beaucoup plus agréable. Une mélodie entrainante et accrochante, on peut vite rapidement garder en tête le tempo qui rythme les paroles. Et enfin un bridge qui est présent et qui introduit la partie pop de la chanson. Un sans faute pour ce track.

04. Moonlight | vidéo clip

Avec cette musique le groupe ne prend pas de risque, on garde le tempo pop avec une touche rétro. Une chanson qui ne se démarque pas vraiment puisqu'on retrouve l'ambiance mystérieuse de Addicted le tout sur une chanson assez soft. Néanmoins, la performance vocale de Dajeong est remarquable. La track passe quasi-inaperçue et reste pour moi l'ovni de l'EP. On peut penser que c'est un petit remake de la chanson " The Moon" de leur premier EP, mais en moins punchy.

05. Still With Me ( To. Winxy ) | vidéo clip

La ballade de l'album pour clôturer le mini album. Une ballade assez légère qui semble être une confession du groupe à leur fan, une façon aussi de les remercier pour leur soutiens. Une mélodie au piano pour mettre un petit point final est vraiment bien pensé, la performance vocale de Ella se démarque des autres, et c'est sans doute la surprise de l'ep.

La note finale ?

Pour résumer, je ne suis pas fan de cet EP. Mise à part Bewitched (et encore je trouve le clip horrible) & Still With Me, je trouve que c'est un loupé. Contrairement au premier opus ou nous avons le droit à deux pistes instrus et un remix, là le contenu de 2 instrus et 2 versions anglaises sont un peu de trop. J'aurais aimé un album avec 8 track originals, car là même pour un EP je trouve sa pauvre. C'est vraiment dommage que car l'intro  vraiment énigmatique avec toute les chansons, et on se retrouve avec très peu de choses. L'album se laisse écouter , mais malheureusement n'a rien à envier à Bravery.
