@ahogedetective​ asked: “Ah, Akamatsu-san, there you are! Hi there; I hope I didn’t interrupt your piano playing too much.” Shuichi had came to the music room, since he figures that’s where he’d find her. With his arms behind his back, he slowly approaches her. “U-Um.... Happy White Day! I wanted to find you, because... there were a couple of things I wanted to give you. Something I thought you might find cute, h-hehe...  um, h... here you go!”

A shy blush on his face, he finally shows what’s behind his back: a pink teddy bear with a pink rose in its ‘paw’ tied with a white ribbon, along with a box of chocolates. If she opens the box, they’ll be filled with chocolate pieces with designs of different music notes on them. “For the chocolates, I made them, myself... and I thought giving them a design would make them even more special for you. I... hope you’ll like them! A-And if you don’t mind... spending time together for a bit... “ Despite the darkening blush on his face, his smile only grows softer as he looks at her... ( hehe, wanted to send it a lil early~! Happy White Day!!! 🧸🌹🍫 )

     “Oh, Saihara-kun!” The pianist turns around at the sound of him entering, a small smile on her face. “You’re not interrupting anything, and even if you were, I wouldn’t mind. After all, you’re not a bother to me.” It’s not a lie, any of her friends, Saihara included, weren’t a bother unless they were being disruptive. Which the detective wasn’t, Kaede had just finished one of her songs so his timing was a coincidence.

     She listens, eyes widening slightly, that was today, wasn’t it? It wasn’t like she forgot, she just didn’t realize it was today. Still, it doesn’t change that fact that it’s a surprise, but it’s a welcome one.

     (And, it’s nice to know that he thought of her. It makes her feel happy that he thought to get her something.)

     “Happy White Day to you too Saihara-kun! And I’m sure whatever you’ve gotten me will be exactly that!” She can’t help but giggle a little, excited to see what he’s gotten her. Saihara was right, the teddy bear is cute, and while she’s not sure the same will hold true for the box of chocolates he’s holding (it’s got to be that, considering what the day is) she has to believe it will. And indeed they are, being different music notes. It’s fitting, and very much something that he would do. Kaede can’t help but be happy that he went out of his way to make them specially for her.

     “Of course I love them Saihara-kun! They’re special, and I’m really happy you made them for me.” She can’t help but return his soft smile with one of her own, her own cheeks sporting a soft blush as well. “And of course I don’t mind, spending time with you is always something I can do, no matter what. So let’s spend some time together, for as long as you want.”

This morning for her birthday, Shuichi wanted to take Kaede out to a cafe; one that he's actually been wanting to bring her to for a while now, so he thought today would be the perfect opportunity. "How are you enjoying the cafe so far, Akamatsu-san? Well, I hope! I'm so happy I could finally bring you here." It was on a quieter street compared to most, along with a nice view of outside from the windows. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the selections that they have that he's tried so far; he loves them. He hopes the order she got that he treated her to, was one she did enjoy. And that that she's having an overall enjoyable time with him here; he certainly was, chatting and eating together with her.

"And then after this, we can look around the shopping district.. see if there's any stores you may want to pop into. Wherever you'd like to go, let's do it." He smiles, truly wanting to make sure this entire day was going to be nothing but fun and wonderful for Kaede. "Ah, I know it might be a bit early, but.. would you like to see your gifts right now? I have them right here-!" He pulls out two gift boxes from his bag. The first one contained a pair of white earphones, with a design of a pink music note on the back of them. "I ah, had remembered you mentioning a while ago that you've been wanting some new headphones... s-so I got these for you! I hear that is brand is a very nice quality, so they should be great. I hope you'll like them!"

And then in the other gift box... was a silver necklace, which contained a pressed cherry blossom flower inside of the pendant. He shyly watches her examine it with nervous anticipation, since he actually made the necklace, himself... "Wh... What do you think? I-I... made it for you. I wanted to make you something special for a gift, too... h-hehe... um, I can help put it on you!"

Rising up from his seat, Shuichi goes over to hers, so that he can go behind her and place the necklace carefully around her neck. Then, he lets her see herself in his phone camera, so that she can see how it looks on her, too. "What do you think? It looks nice on you... I-I hope that you think the same." Cheeks a light red as he sits back down at his seat, he truly does think it looks pretty on her... and if she loves it, then that would make the effort pay off all the more. "Happy Birthday... I hope I was able to make your morning with these. And I'll make sure that... you continue having nothing but a great day. As you deserve... " He assures her, smile and gaze growing warmer. (sORRY it got a bit long, I hope u don't mind it, hehehe... Happy Birthday to your wonderful daughter!! 🎧🌸)

     Being invited out this morning was a bit of a surprise, but a welcomed one. Shuichi seemed like he really wanted to do so, and it wasn't like she was one to say no to an invitation. Though considering what the date was, Kaede wouldn't be surprised if that had something to do with this.

     "Oh, it's great!" Truly, it is. She can see why Shuichi would like it; the atmosphere, the view outside, the location, the selection they offer... it really was a nice place. She's glad that he's able to take her here, considering how happy he seems to be. "It's a great place, so I'm glad you were able to bring me here. So thanks for that, Saihara-kun!" And it's been good to be able to just chat and have a good time with him.

     Kaede can't help but return his smile. "Ah, okay. I'm sure there's some shop that'll catch my eye... and if not, it'll still be nice to walk around and spend time with you. We'll just see what happens, won't we?" She blinks a bit at the mention of gifts, but she nods in confirmation. Even if it is early, she's still glad that he decided to get her something, even if he really didn't have to. Just bring her out was enough.

     Still, she accepts both boxes with smile and opens the first one. Inside are a pair of white headphones, and picking them up to look at them reveals a design of a pink music note on the back of them. She's a bit surprised that Shuichi remembered her mentioning that before, but that's just like him. "I didn't expect you to remember that from then... but I'm glad. And I'm sure they'll be great so thank you Saihara-kun!"

     She moves to open the other box, which contained a silver necklace with what looked to be a pressed cherry blossom inside the pendent. For a moment Kaede is stunned, examining it and running her fingers along it. It's... really not something she was expecting so she's at a bit of a loss for words. Still it's... really beautiful she has to say. She looks over at Shuichi for an explanation and well. That's not what she was expecting in the slightest! For him to make her something so special... it makes her feel overjoyed.

     Kaede watches at Shuichi rises from his seat to go over to hers, placing the necklace carefully around her neck. She looks at herself in his phone camera and well... it really is nice on her. Even moreso considering that he made this specially for her...

     "It's really pretty... and I have to agree with you, it does look really nice on me." She's pretty sure her face matches his own, considering the heat she feels on them, but she's glad. She really does love it, and she's glad that Shuichi took the time to make it for her, considering how they're both acting right now. "Thank you, Saihara-kun. You really have made my morning with these and I'm sure the rest of the day will be as good as it is now." And she can't help but return the smile yet again, her own gaze warm and grateful.
