Dáinsleif has questioned this a fair amount of times after witnessing with his very eyes how important is to recollect light to chase the dark away. To bring hope in a world that cannot bask in the warmth of the rising sun and sing of praises and glories of that which others take for granted. Until a proper balance isn’t achieved, there is no rest to be had lest that supposes the doom of all whom strive for survival. Not him, or these people whom had learned to take care of one another as if one would with a blood-related individual to call family.

Light in small amounts is no different than a frail, dim little thing to be treated like fine china by those who work hard to collect more and share it with others. Like some savior that could shatter anytime and plunge everyone in despair. Even if in small amounts, it is warm and invigorating— a crystal clear telltale that one mustn’t lose hope even in the face of hardship. No matter how much darkness may penetrate every corner of existence and the very morale of many, the faint luminosity it exudes serves as a glimpse of what a brighter tomorrow will look like if they don’t give up.

Icy sapphires blink and lay upon the blue haired maiden that more often than not became a source of company and comradeship in times of need. ❝That it is.❞ These lightless days, months and even years beg a question: will these people live long enough to see the fruit of their efforts? Wish as he may to ask Aqua her opinion, Dáinsleif decides otherwise and look back at the glowing light before them. There is no need to dampen anyone’s spirit with mind-provoking queries like these. Instead, there is only one way to find out: traverse this ceaseless road until its very end.
