OKAY, BLOG IS FULLY LIVE AGAIN! for the first time in literal months.......i think i've had this thing on dash-only since, like, june?? things that still need work are my icons (as mentioned before) & my muse pages but i'll be working on those over the next week or so! my normal muse list IS up and viewable but there's very little info on there. i'm planning to tidy up each muse's individual bio page and maybe put up a new muse list that has character blurbs. i might also set up some mobile-friendly/accessible versions of all my pages, rules included, bc i'm a little concerned abt the readability on this theme due to the small post boxes.

unfortunatelyyyyyyyyyy, while i was finishing stuff up, my body decided to crash on me so this is gonna have to be me for tonight but i'm looking forward to being here again!

HELLO ALL. i am appearing on your dashes to announce, for my own benefit, that i am finally done with uni. FOREVER. (potentially. maybe i'll do postgrad at one point. who knows.) as you may be aware, uni has slowed me down quite a bit, ESPECIALLY this year, but i'm finally done and, as of july or whatever, i should officially have a degree in creative writing & english literature. wahoo! :)

but ANYWAY, this means i'll finally be able to take this blog off of hiatus and get back into doing shit here. as i've said before, i'm planning on giving this blog a bit of a soft reboot and redoing a bunch of stuff, just so i can jump in with a bit of a fresh mind. for the most part, this will just be me redoing graphics & themes and just sprucing things up a bit where i've fallen behind BUT i will also be dropping most of my what's in my drafts right now. i will be keeping a few threads that i really want to keep but i'll be emptying my drafts quite a bit. this is not because i don't like those threads, it's just that i really do want to come back in a clean and organised way as much as possible but there are just a few things i still want to keep! i don't want to start over totally either because that's a Bit Much.

thank you again to everyone who's been patient with me (and to everyone who has not unfollowed me for not being active enough, even if we've not written together yet). i do miss indie rp so i'm going to make a good effort to get active here again and hopefully get a lot more threads going! i'm not very good at reaching out to people and being proactive but i want to do my best because i think rp works best when people treat this place like a community! :D

in the politest possible way, i think now that i've been doing closed rp for a couple months & realising that it (or at least the group i joined) just doesn't have all the specific issues i've mentioned indie rp having, i'm a little more frustrated abt all the time ppl have tried to tell me it's just bc i'm doing smth wrong with my rp time ASDFGHJHG i have been rping on tumblr since 2012. that's over a decade. and my opinion remains that indie rp does not feel the same as it used to. and it's not bc i can't move with the times bc, again, i've been rping actively!! very actively!! since 2012. and the fact that indie rp feels different isn't really anybody's fault, it's just very difficult to write the sort of things i want to write (e.g; character development that sticks, threads that have lasting impact on muses, less casual stuff) outside of groups (be it rp groups or friend groups) or fandom circles. actually, maybe it's just bc i've spent so long in fandom rp that fandomless oc stuff is a little harder for me to grasp since there's less stuff grounding it ASDFGHHGF

anyway, i do plan to hop back on here and work on drafts soon, even if they're pretty old but i'll probably be generally slower over the next little while since i'm nearing the end of my uni career (wahooooooo!!) and i still have a few deadlines coming up, including my finals in may. i'm aware i haven't done any ic stuff here in a month and i want to fix that bc i still do like indie rp and i like my muses here (i am writing some of these ocs in the group i joined but there are others i miss writing, particularly kael & rika). thank you yet again for being patient with me! and i'm sorry if this post comes off like i'm complaining, i'm really not! i think it just helps me to get my thoughts out! i'll definitely try to be more active here in the summer though, if i can! i might even be able re-open my graphics/theme commissions when i have time but we'll see (however, my first call of action WILL be finish the stuff i already owe as soon as i can). but, in general, this being my final year of uni does mean my assignments have all been heftier or more intensive and, although i STILL get stressed and leave them until the last minute every time, it's harder for me to focus on a bunch of things at once. hopefully this won't be permanent!

btw, just as a heads up! i know i still haven't finished fixing my muse bio pages yet so they're not currently linked on my little masterlist BUT! if you need to access any of my muse bios at any point, you can just open my blog & add /musename (e.g; /tomo) to the end of the url! just bear in mind that the pages aren't at their most readable right now because i haven't redone them & i can't promise all the info is still 100% accurate bc i haven't checked. some might also be unfinished (i need to rewrite some backstories) but the basic info is still there if you really need it! but i'm not taking any criticism for the pages looking super ugly rn because. i know that.

i think i've said this before but whatever, i'm saying it again! i miss the old era of, like, follow forever posts and stuff. i just think that was just a neat little moment in tumblr rpc history. just a bunch of ppl taking time out of their days to make lists of ppl they thought were neat or cool, even if they hadn't written together or spoken or whatever. a real nice sense of community, i think. like, it was just a very small thing but being tagged always felt nice :)
