@lostxtosunlight gets a starter
Morgan had lost track of how long they'd been there, how long he'd been cut open and torn apart, slapped back together, just to go through it all over again. He stopped counting the number of times he had died. It was all worth it, though, to keep Isen from hurting Yuki. If Morgan behaved, Yuki was safe. That was the deal.
Then Isen's men made the mistake of beating Yuki in front of him, and after all that had been done to him, that was the thing that broke Morgan.
Hearing his boyfriend cry out in pain, seeing blood drip down the side of his face, something inside Morgan snapped, and a power he had only just started to understand ripped out of him. It wasn't like the times before, when he'd gotten upset and slowly drained the life out of any living thing around him. This was. . . Direct. Intentional.
It was as if invisible tendrils reached out and ripped the lifeforce violently out of the men around them, starting with the ones who hurt Yuki, leaving them little more than person-shaped husks. Warm brown eyes had turned a cold, solid black, and his skin seemed to grow paler with each man he killed.

"Saving you," Morgan said tiredly. He shook his head at Yuki's words. "You were half dead by the time you got home. . . There wasn't gonna be time to get you to a hospital. I could feel you slipping away. . ." He sighed and closed his eyes, knowing the disappointment he'd see on his boyfriend's face.
"You don't have to like it. But I'm not sorry I did it. You couldn't survive losing that much blood. I could." He winced as he shifted and it pulled at still healing wounds. "You gonna tell me what the hell you're involved in? How you ended up shredded like that? . . Or do you need to be mad at me for a little bit longer?"

Morgan couldn't turn his head towards Yuki, couldn't even open his mouth to reply. All he could do was whimper to let his boyfriend know he heard him. His eyes were fixed on the shadowy thing he saw in the corner, afraid to look away in case it moved towards him--towards them.
It's not real.
Morgan blinked and shifted his eyes towards Yuki with desperation. He groaned helplessly through his clenched jaw and looked back at the shadow that was. . .just a shadow, now. He frowned and his fingers started twitching as feeling came back into his limbs. Morgan hummed and tried to move his hand towards Yuki.

Morgan bit the inside of his cheek, feeling sick inside. I'm not good enough for you, he wanted to scream. I'm broken and damaged all I'll ever bring you is pain. . . But I want you more than I've ever wanted anything.
"We're not good for each other," he repeated firmly, forcing his eyes to go dead so he didn't give himself away. "It's not that complicated, Yuki. We tried. It-- It didn't work." Let me go, Yuki. Don't let me go. This wasn't what Morgan wanted, but it felt selfish to hold onto Yuki when he was just a black pit of pain.

@malka-lisitsa gets a starter
When the beautiful woman he'd been chatting with told him--not asked, but told--him to come outside with her, Morgan didn't question it. It wouldn't be the first time he met someone at a bar and hooked up with them, and she was mesmerizing.
Tumblr media
However, when she more or less told him to shut up and stand there, Morgan couldn't help but laugh a little. "Are you always this bossy, or has it just been a while?" he asked teasingly.

@malka-lisitsa wanted something spicy
A vampire who enjoyed getting her way, and an immortal who enjoyed doing as he was told--it was a perfect match. Morgan was happy to be her booty-call and on-demand blood supply, so anytime she called and demanded he come over, he came running. Morgan smirked down at her when she opened the door. "So. Is this a doing as I'm told situation, or will you be doing whatever you want to me tonight?"

"All I do is heal fast. You move things with your freaking mind. . .that's objectively cooler." And more useful. It would've been nice to actually be able to fight back all the times he got bashed around as a kid. "How do you do that, by the way?"

Morgan looked down, focused on the hole in his jeans as he pulled at the loose threads. This whole thing was weird, to say the least, but he trusted Jewel (as much as he trusted anyone), and she trusted them. . . So here he was, willingly offering himself up as a lab rat, in the hopes that he could finally understand what made him like this--able to heal from things that would kill anyone else.

"No," Morgan moaned when he appeared at Death's side. He glared at his mother--though it lost much of its effect when there were tears in his eyes, making him look more like a scared, hurt child and less like an angry man. {Why?} he signed harshly. {Why do I have to keep doing this? How many more times do I have to die?}

Morgan nodded weakly and immediately regretted it when it made him a bit dizzy. He huffed when Cad started gently pulling his shirt up. He appreciated it on some level, but also felt a bit frustrated at the other's hesitance. Morgan batted Cad's hands away and grunted in pain as he roughly ripped the fabric away where it had already stuck to his skin. {There} he signed tiredly. He hadn't necessarily gone mute yet, but he didn't feel like talking--and Cad didn't need him to speak to understand him, which was largely why they'd gotten on so well so fast.

OPEN STARTER ;; Morgan Johnson
Tumblr media
Morgan growled and pressed his lips together. If the barista would just read his damn order on his phone, he wouldn't be holding up the line. He didn't understand why the guy was being so difficult, demanding he speak. Just read my damn phone, he wanted to scream.

OPEN STARTER ;; Morgan
Minding his own business, Morgan went from humming under his breath to singing softly to himself. “. . mutant ninja turtles, teenage mutant ninja turtles, teenage mutant ninja turtles. Heroes in a half-shell. Turtle powww—” He stopped singing the moment he looked up and made eye contact with a person he very much had not realized was there before starting to sing. “Ho-How- How long’ve you. . been. . ? HAAAA.”
Tumblr media
“You heard nothing.” Certainly not him singing.

Morgan narrowed his eyes at the man before him. “You’re Death? As in. . . Death? Like the skeleton-faced, scythe carrying, cloak wearing guy? That Death?” He shook his head and took a step back. “Nope. No way. Best case scenario, you’re cracked. Worst case. . .” The young man frowned as he trailed off. “What would you want with me, anyway? I’m not dying.” He didn’t feel like he was dying, anyway. And to be honest, he wasn’t sure that he could die, given some of the injuries he’d recovered from in his young life.

Morgan squirmed under the stranger’s uncomfortable penetrating stare, like she knew something about him that he didn’t. “What?!” he demanded, louder than he intended. He immediately recoiled, some part of his mind still expecting to be punished for such overt disrespect.

@multivcrsity gets a plotted starter

Morgan walked with his head down, avoiding looking anyone in the eye, the way he always did; people normally didn't try to strike up conversation with you when you wouldn't even make eye contact with them. He turned into a quiet side street, just like he always did on his way home from work, and only stopped when another pair of feet came into view. "Sorry," Morgan mumbled, as he tried to sidestep the stranger.

Morgan laughed a little, amused by the reaction even if he didn't fully understand the reasons behind it. "C'mon, I'm serious. They're like. . . perfect. . . Think one o' my foster sisters would say they could. .cut glass or somethin', which I still don' understand. . .'s a weird saying. Bones can't cut anything. . .and cheeks are soft, so they're definitely not gonna. . ." He was lost in thought for a moment as his mind sloppily churned over that line of thinking before he refocused.
"But really. Do snakes have cheekbones? I mean. . . That's kinda just where the upper an' lower jaw connects, right?" Morgan slowly reached up to touch his own face and opened and closed his mouth a few times, feeling the joint move. "An' snakes have jaws. . .an' sometimes they're like. . fuller than others? So. . I guess snakes kinda have cheeks, right? I never paid attention. Do you cheeks when you're a snake, Cad? Can you like. . .even tell that kinda thing? What's it even feel like? Bein' a snake?" He was asking far too many questions for Cad to be able to answer him clearly, on anything, but that was fine. Morgan wasn't really in a mindset to really care about the answers.
