general stuff/headcanons pt. iii

Hoagie is referred as Numbuh 2 for various reasons: First being that he and Nigel knew each other the longest among their friend group and with Nigel being Numbuh 1, it made sense that Hoagie would refer to himself as Numbuh 2 afterwards. Another reason being that he doesn’t like being in command when it came to whatever he and his friends did, in fact Hoagie refused to ever take direct charge unless it was just him and one of his friends, so while he isn’t exactly the second-in-command type (that was more Numbuh 5′s lane) he is very much like a follower towards anyone who is in command. And lastly, he can be viewed as the guy in the chair for his group, the one who could stay behind and give instructions, like a secret second player if you will.

Throughout most of his childhood, Hoagie was never the leanest kid around as it took him a really long time to get rid of his baby fat. It wasn’t until he was in the seventh grade was when he began to shed it off, not like his weight ever defined him as none of his friend ever cared in how he looked and frankly, Hoagie has always been rather comfortable with himself.

Admittedly, the reason why he was so heavyset as a kid was due to his love for food which still very much carries on to this day. Hoagie can be considered as someone with an iron stomach, meaning that he can and will eat anything and everything….as long as you don’t tell him exactly what he is eating because even a guy like him can get grossed out!

He could literally be found munching on food almost at any given time of the day because that is how much Hoagie loves food still. Especially chilly hotdogs as that is his favorite food to eat and he could eat at least five at once.

Honestly, if it’s not a hotdog than Hoagie would at least have like packs of string cheese or wheel cheese within his pockets or some kind of candy bar to much on.

When he was younger, he use to have this humungous crush on Abby’s older sister, Cree and continued to harbor said crush until he entered high school. Abby was grossed out by his obvious crush especially whenever Hoagie got all gaga and giggly over her, but what can he say? Cree was and still is a babe no matter how mean she was towards him and his friends.

And speaking of whenever he crushes, Hoagie does easily fall for people and whenever he does, he always tries his hardest to impress them or he get’s all nervous and starts laughing nervously and literally forgets anything and everything he was thinking of or was trying to say. Frankly, give him a pretty face and he just might swoon.

Very giggly in general as he has one heck of a nervous laugh that appears whenever he is nervous or embarrassed about something or when around someone.

Hoagie is jewish.

He is incredibly smart, smarter than many people may even realize due to how childish or dumb he acts at times but the capabilities of Hoagie’s mind is endless and if his own handiwork doesn’t proof how intelligent he actually is, his own grades proves it since he’s always been a good student in that department….but Hoagie will never attempt to tutor Wally again.

A HUGE connoisseur of puns and corny jokes as Hoagie likes to think he’s funny or a comedian, when in reality his jokes often sucks and his friends find them annoying. Does that ever stop Hoagie from spilling them out? Not until he knocks them dead!

Literally owns a book flied with puns in which he re-reads at least once a week to keep his mind fresh and ready for a punful moment.

Enjoys the art of old film noir and wester movies. He both enjoys watching them and likes to imagine that he is a detective within one of these movie troops who is the only one able to solve the case. Hoagie even took these troops literally back when he was younger and was as a hall monitor during middle school.

He generally likes crime films and shows to be honest.

May be a nerd but refused to join a club like the A.V. club in middle school as he never thought of himself as that kind of nerdy, but does still consider himself as a nerd since his friends refers to him that affectionately.

A video game nerd as he can often be seen playing against his best friend Wally if they aren’t munching on junk food together.

But if there is one thing that Hoagie nerds over the most it’s playing cards, specifically that of old Yu-Gi-Od cards and Pokemon cards as he owns a collection from his youth and to this day will buy new ones and trade for ones he doesn’t already own. These cards are his pride and joy and you must be wearing gloves when touching them and must be within his presence!

He also really loves legos and get’s all giggly whenever he is building a new set as he finds enjoyment in building with them just for the fun of it.

He is a bit of a pothead and likes to get high within his treehouse. It kinda helps him get into the mindset and mood of flying.

Does not wear his aviator goggles as much as he use to when he was younger, but from time to time, Hoagie would find himself wanting to put them back on and when that happens, he will rock them wherever he goes and especially whenever he is lounging about within his treehouse.

Hoagie is the second most sensitive and emotional one next to Kuki, as he has always been in tune with his emotions and never been the type to hold in how he was feeling (unless he was trying to come off as cool, then that was different).

DO NOT ENTER HIS TREE HOUSE WITHOUT HIS PRIOR KNOWLEDGE! His friends are the only ones allowed without him because they already know his rules, but any outsiders he must be aware of first so he could weight them and make sure they won’t counter balance the weight his tree house can hold.

SERIOUSLY, Hoagie has a warning sign and everything heading his warnings.

Eventually Hoagie and his friends had to grow up even though they all still refused to literally ‘grow up,’ their high school days flew by and went and it came to a point in where they all needed to figure out where to attend college. Personally, Hoagie didn’t care were as long as he was able to attend the same place as all his friends and if he could find a major that would get him off the ground quicker.

That’s where the news of Corona opening their doors to the world occurred and his entire group  came to the agreement on how they should go to Corona and attend college there. And with luck on their side, they all were able to find a major they were each interested in and the college accepted each and every one of them, yeah, even Wally!. There wasn’t any need for anymore debating after that as the five of them packed up and were set and ready to go!

For Hoagie, when he first learned about there being a aviation and aerospace major, he was ecstatic as that major combined everything that he loved about flying along with all of his favorite interests such as building and technology. This meant that not only was he gonna learn more about aircraft and all of the workings behind it, but that mean he could one day be the designer of the next futuristic aircraft or any aerospace related craft!

Of course Hoagie and his friends all decided to band together and find a place in where they could all live with one another. After all this time, they were more than just friends as they all were practically family, and so the thought of living together didn’t deter any of them as they literally had practice in doing so after all those times they had a sleepover within his old treehouse.

And speaking of treehouse, Hoagie was insistent that they get a place with a good tree in the backyard so he could built a newer and better treehouse. Heck, he already began designing what it would look like on their journey towards Corona, and once he finally had the chance to bring his creation to life, Hoagie took it and accomplished it within the span of a week.

This new treehouse is by far one of his greatest works and because of that, Hoagie became more selective on who can go inside of it compared to his old one as during his process of building it, figuring out the weight capacity was dicey work and one false move and his entire work could go kaput!

However, this doesn’t mean that no one is allowed inside his treehouse. His friends are more than welcome to go in there at any given time they want as he already assess their weight if they were inside on their own, two at a time or as a group as a whole. But anyone else? As thrilled as he is to show off his handiwork, Hoagie will need to be informed beforehand and make sure that their weight is compatible and will not disrupt his weight capacity.

Overall, life in Corona become comfy for Hoagie. Sure, from time to time he would find himself missing the annoying sound of his little brother and whenever he would refer to himself as ‘The Tommy,’ and he desires to taste his mom’s cooking again (though he sure doesn’t miss his grandma or her cane), and some of his teachers bore him because they think he should start acting more like his age, but Hoagie was with his friends, in a cool new island with people who were starting to have powers! What could be any better than that!?

And if you think that just because he and his friends were young adults now that it meant they stopped their battle against adult tyranny, than you are dead wrong! No, they still and will forever continue to look out for the little guys and stick it to any crummy adults who thinks they can get the better of them.

about his past pt. i

The familial life of Hoagie and his family was nothing one needed to go gaga about as like most families he had a dad who was always busy in long business trips, a supportive and caring mom, an annoying little brother who he was close to named Tommy, and even a grandmother who likes to strike people with her cane named Lydia who also happened live with them.

Yeah, Hoagie loves and cares for his family and all that mushy stuff, but where the real importance within his life began was when he met and found an awesome group of friends within the likes of Nigel, Kuki, Wally and Abby or as they like to refer to themselves as: Numbuh 1, Numbuh 3, Numbuh 4, and Numbuh 5 (with Hoagie being referred to as Numbuh 2).

Hoagie has been fortunate enough to have known his group of friends for literally his entire life as he first met Nigel back when they were in the same kindergarten class, but then he met and befriended his best friend Wally, and Kuki and Abby banded into their little rag tag group not long after that and since then, the five of them has been stuck on one another like the peanut butter holding the two silences of bread together!

His childhood was literally an awesome one as one of the best and fun things he would do with his friends was go against the big man! You know who it is, those crummy adults who thinks that because they were older and mature means they have authority over what kids should or shouldn’t be doing. As if they were their parents or something, ha! it was one thing to listen to what his parents would tell him (and his grandma although he only did so whenever she would wack him with her cane- yeouch!) but it was a completely different story when other adults who believed kids were a bunch of immature and childish beings who needed to be disciplined over the slightest thing and told what to do all the time even when they weren’t wrong. 

Yeah, Hoagie and his friends decided early on that they weren’t going to let the adults tell them what to do or ruin their fun, and when the adults especially went hard on the little guys who didn’t know how to fight back or were too fearful at the thought of being punished for doing so? Hoagie and his friends were always there to fight adult tyranny! 

Admittedly, that wasn’t how Hoagie expected to spend most of his childhood as he wasn’t the first between his friends who had been so passionate about fighting adulthood and for what’s right, but was it something that he regretted doing alongside his friends or didn’t have a blast in taking a part of? Pfft, it was awesome and he would not regret a single moment of any of it! 

But whenever he wasn’t battling against the adults, Hoagie would always be found within the treehouse he had personally built in his backyard. 

Hoagie has always been interested in technology and in inventing and building things to the point in where he had came up with various blueprints, computer simulations, and dioramas of prototypes of ‘2x4 technology’ that he one day wishes to make, and so, deciding to make a treehouse for not only himself, but as well as for a place he could hang out with his friends without the praying eyes of the adults, seemed like the obvious step to take.

There is also the fact that Hoagie LOVES being suspended from air, which if anything was his own selfish reason for making a treehouse. 

Out of all of his interests, being in the air was something that Hoagie desired to do one day. He didn’t know what was it about the idea of flying and being weightless that he liked so much, but even when he was way younger, like younger than Tommy’s age kind of young, Hoagie would play pretend and make airplane noises and act like he is flying. Whenever he was at the playground with his friends, going on the swings and swinging as high as he can go was his go-to and if not, then it the seesaw. Heck, he’s never been afraid of heights, loving the fact that the higher he was, the more rush and adrenaline he felt.  

So imagine how ecstatic Hoagie was when his mom gifted him a pair of old aviator goggles that belonged to his grandpa. If you don’t think he didn’t rock those goggles throughout his entire childhood up until his sophomore year of High School, than you are dead wrong because Hoagie did and he still owns those same goggles to this very day!

It eventually became a dream and long-life goal of Hoagie’s that one day he will find himself in the air. Whether he has to built the actual aircraft to do so himself or get into a profession that will allow him to, it was going to happen one day. 

Hoagie will become the King of The Skies!
