@deathinfeathers - "You’re staring at me. Stop!" (For any of your lovely muses!)

"I am just observing." A calm, cool tone from what looks to be a massive.. avian creature. It wasn't aggressive, nor did it approach. His face, if one could call it that, was dawned in a red beak with piercing eyes that seemed trained in on the guardian.
"Watching, waiting, as I do with all things." Charon, as only a few knew the creature as. A being that was not demonic, not angelic, nor human. A spirit born not of any Gods, but of the Earth itself. Indentured, employed to one tied to these veiled worlds of the Afterlife. A creature made of many names in the Eastern reaches of the mortal realm.. A Yokai, A Kami, a Shinigami...
The Ferryman, whom none knew of.

He waited for many things, waited for souls to pass on, to carry them in his talons to judgement. He waited to watch as boiling tensions that loomed came to their head. He watched wars, natural disasters, political climates all clash, crash and burn.
Charon was not bound to one realm or another. He traveled, explored when he was not circling the mortal realm to scoop up the dearly departed. And here? Now?
Doing exactly what he'd claimed. But this angel in-particular certainly got his attention. He rarely got to see the various machinations of Heaven, more that he simply stuck out too much and was often shoo'd out before he settled in anywhere. Usually he'd come to drop off another soul before Saint Peter before flying off, especially if the Judge was far too busy to send them off himself.
But Charon had gotten lucky this time, lingered, snuck into what he only could assume were some sort of training grounds.
Why would angels need to train?
So he found a perch, a place to watch. It just so happened it was Lute who was the one doing so today.
"Though I will say, your form is sloppy. You put too much emphasis on your left, leaving the right wide open." The creature tilted his head to the side, commenting on what he watched.
