"you came from upwind," satoru mused, letting his eyes open to find the man he was waiting for standing above him, blond hair tossing only slightly in the breeze.

"i didn't know if someone would be with you," akio sat down beside the upper moon, setting his katana beside him. satoru leaned up on his elbows to get a better look at the hashira.

"you know i wouldn't even try to come out here if there was any chance of me being followed," he reached up to tuck a fluttering strand of soft hair behind akio's ear. "it would be just as bad for you as it would be for me if we were found out by the other moons."

"i know," he grinned, leaning into satoru's hand. "maybe i just wanted to surprise you then."

"did you now," a smirk grew across the demon's face as he moved to place his hands on either side of the sitting demon slayer, leaning in until his breath fanned across the other's lips." does the great hashira asato akio think that he can sneak up on one of the most scary and powerful demons alive?"

"oh get over yourself," akio chuckled before satoru closed the gap, relaxing as akio's hands came up to hold his cheeks as they kissed.

"see? you're not that scary up close," he giggled as they pulled away, pecking the demon's nose. "more like.... a big cute puppy of some kind."

"a puppy?" satoru drew back, face aghast in fake bewilderment and his palm pressed dramatically against his chest. "you wound me! i am a ferocious and terrifying demon, thank you very much!"

akio lunged forward and tackled the larger man to the ground, their laughter filling the meadow. "terrifying my ass! you're adorable!"

"well if i'm adorable then what the hell does that make you? you're 1000 times cuter than me." satoru protested, pouting up at akio who was laughing above him.

"we can be cute puppies together," akio lowered himself so he was laying on his lover's chest. satoru sighed, wrapping his arms around the man he was not supposed to love.
