Hi Miya, I wanted to ask you if there’s any manga that has “traumatized” you or made you feel sick?... One that I can’t get out of my mind was "Maki-chan wa Kare to Sex Shitai" (I know there are a lot worse those I avoid them at all costs) but this one caught me off guard ಥ_ಥ

I’ve been trying to think of any manga that have ever ‘traumatized’ me but unfortunately I couldn’t think of one. Rather than ‘traumatized’, I think the negative emotions I usually feel while reading a manga are either ‘anger’, ‘frustration’, ‘sad’ or ‘heartache’ or all four at once maybe. For example:

‘Anger’ was when I first read Yondaime Ooyamato Tatsuyuki and it was so good but then came in Rogi - where he blackmailed Tatsuyuki and proceeds to rape him (multiple times). This was probably the first time I felt so SO angry in a manga. It’s the reason why I don’t re-read this manga even though I love scarlet beriko. 

‘Frustration’ is reading Ritsu’s POV in Sekaiichi Hatsukoi where he has a damn countdown when he finally “falls completely in love” with Takano. That doesn’t even confirm a confession, this shit gonna drag till I’m 84 years old. 

‘Sad’ was reading Lonely to Organdy. It was such a good manga despite the ending….

‘Heartache’ was when Miyauchi rejected Kudou’s first proposal in Kashikomarimashita, Destiny ~Answer~. Yes, Miyauchi had solid reason due to his past and insecurities for rejecting Kudou. But holy shit, my heart hurt so much for Kudou because he was so SO sincere and he made it his life mission to care, love and make Miyauchi happy for the rest of their lives. 

I’ve only ever felt ‘traumatized’ (not severe but enough to make me feel things) while reading novels. I get so much more emotionally involved when reading novels. And recent novels are from the one and only MXTX - both Mo Dao Zu Shi and Heaven Offical’s Blessing (Tian Guan Ci Fu). Please oh god please read these novels. They’re THAT fucking good.
