Thinking about Wyll/Karlach and having this storybook love—coming together against all odds, two people with genuinely kind hearts despite everything they’re surrounded by, both forsaken by those who they thought they trusted and thrown to devils—and how they just care about each other so much.

But their love has a timer on it.

They’re both romantics that want this more than anything but there’s no overcoming Karlach’s heart. Even if everything else falls into place—escaping Wyll’s pact, saving his father anyway, defeating the absolute and both surviving—none of that fixes Karlach’s heart.

But Wyll will jump at the chance to say “fuck it” and follow her back to Avernus, despite all of the freedoms he’s just taken back for himself, because he cares about her so much and to live she needs someone there for her in the worst place in the realms. He found his one true love and he’s not letting anything get in the way and maybe they can have a happy ending after all.
