Infinite (인피니트) is a South Korean boy band formed in 2010 by Woollim Entertainment. The group is composed of six members: Sungkyu, Dongwoo, Woohyun, Sungyeol, L, and Sungjong. Originally a seven-piece group, Hoya departed from the group in August 30, 2017. Infinite debuted in June 9, 2010 with their EP First Invasion.

- Sungkyu was born in North Jeolla, South Korea. Has an older sister, named Kim JiEun.Sungkyu was in the school band named Comabeat when he was in Senior High School.He graduated from Daekyung University, majoring in Applied Music along with Hoya, L, and Sungyeol.He was the fastest member who learnt the scorpion dance.Sunggyu picked Sungjong as the cutest member and L as the most handsome.He had audited 2 times for SM Entertainment but he was rejected.In November 2012 he debuted as a solo singer with his solo EP, “Another Me”.In 2015 Sunggyu participated in KBS’s show “Exciting India”.He acted in a few musicals: “Gwanghwamun Sonata” (2012), “VAMPIRE” (2014), “In The Heights” (2015), “All Shook Up” (2016), “Gwanghamun Sonata” (2017-2018)He had a cameo appearance in “The Thousandth Man” (2012).He acted in the drama “Pure Love” (2013).Sunggyu appeared alongside rapper Defconn as an MC in the popular show “Weekly Idol”.Sunggyu is friends with Highlight‘s Junhyung, actor Kim Min-Suk and Leo from VIXX. Dongwoo facts: – Dongwoo was born in Gyeonggi, South Korea. Dongwoo has two sisters: Jang Kkotip (6 years older), and the other one is 3 years older than him. Dongwoo’s sister used to be a dancer and he learned how to dance from her. Dongwoo’s family has an octopus restaurant. He was trained under JYP Entertainment for years. He is a former schoolmate of EXO‘s eldest, Xiumin. On February 15, 2013 Dongwoo graduated from Daekyung University’s Practical Music program. Along with L, he’s really hard to woke up, you even have to shake him. Dongwoo choose BEAST’s Yoseob as an idol he wants a duet with. He is officially registered as songwriter with the Korean Music Copyright Association. If Dongwoo wasn’t a celebrity he’d want to have become a Chinese herbal medicine doctor. Sungyeol facts: – Sungyeal was born and raised in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. He has a younger brother named Daeyeol, who is a member of Golden Child, under the same company. Sungyeol is the last member who join Infinite. Sungyeol originally planned to debut as an actor. He graduated from Daekyung University, majoring in Applied Music along with Sungkyu, L, and Hoya. – Woohyun was born in Chungcheong, South Korea. He has one older brother who is two years older than him, Nam Boohyun. He passed the audition by singing Stevie Wonder’s “Lately”. He chose Stevie Wonder as his hero among all singers. In Infinite, he has the best imitation skills. He dreamed to become a soccer player, but he gave up because he didn’t have much stamina. The members call him “Chef”. He doesn’t want to think again about “YAMO” era, because he dislikes his looks back then. Hoya facts: – He was born in Busan, South Korea. He has an older brother (Hojae) and a younger brother (Hojun). He graduated from Daekyung University, majoring in Applied Music along with Sungkyu, L, and Sungyeol. He likes to practice until late, so he oversleeps a lot. He was a member of the one time sub unit Dynamic BLACK with 2AM’s Jinwoon, B2ST’s Gikwang, MBLAQ’s Lee Joon, & TEEN TOP’s L.Joe. Hoya was a taekwondo athlete up till middle school & received his 3rd – degree black belt. “Q: How I am when I’m in love?” “Hoya: I’m passionate. I’m a man like fire”. According to the other members, Hoya is the CEO’s favorite member. The members chose Hoya as the member who has the most popularity in Japan. He used to be a hip hop/street dancer.
