Una Mujer Hermosa! Starflower! Part 2
Today, we are finishing the job with our lovely Starflower!
First, we must remove stains with my oh-so-favorite chemical, Acetone!
this is the only one to be found, thankfully for her! Also the camera was in a bad mood today sorry!
Loran helps hold her body up while I carefully remove the stain! Important! Always rinse the acetone off after, it may continue to eat at the plastic if you don't! My favorite chemical is a carnivore!
Ah, much better! Next up is repainting!
Starflower's cutie mark is a strange one- it's so dark! It struck me as a mixture of magenta and orange, so I made a careful mixture...
Painting is always so nerve-rwacking... matching colors is hard enough!!
But, we did soon have success!!
Now, for the unexpected bit... you may have thought I would remove her eyes and repaint them entirely! But she actually requested me not to do that!!
See, she feels her eyes are special to her! Her original owner loved her so much, that when she lost her old eyes, they tried to paint new ones on, even if they weren't the best at it! And because of that she wants to treasure her new eyes forever, even if others think they're ugly! So, I have chosen to respect her wishes and leave them be.
Now, with painting out of the way, all that's left is to reassemble her!
Carefully ,we pull her tail back through her butt hole!
How lucky we were, to come across some zipties in our absence! Much better for fastening tails in!
And... here is our Mujer Hermosa, Starflower!
Her beauty is a special one, to be cherished for as long as she lives! The love of a child marked on her forever! I wish I could have that kind of appearance one day!
Another successful clean up at the Acetone Angel Clinic, thank you for reading!!

A Familiar Human Child!!
Oh! Rainy Day Pony, what is this giant bundle of hair you've come back with! We didn't order this color!
*THWUMP!*
Ohh, oh my! It's not hair, it's a human child with that on it!! And she looks to be in a rather sorry condition!
The poor thing's all smudged up, and her beautiful white dress has some nasty brown stains! Not to worry, this is hardly a challenge to myc linic!!
First, we give her a simple bath! This takes care of much of her major stains! How fortunate for her! For her legs are made of rubber, and if they were stained they would never come clean!
Next, we season her hair with conditioner like the hotdog and ketchup! Loran is hear to detangle! A pony brush should work fine on a human, right...?
Ah yeas, an easy job! And look how pretty her hair waves once it's clean! Surely it will be even better when it dries!
Next is this gorgeous dress of hers! It provides a bit of a challenge...
...Because it and its ilk were resistant to both detergent and an oxy soak! Which leaves only one option...
how do we even carry this
Yes, bleach was our only option! One must Never use bleach for a toy, it's too strong and may damage plastic! But fabric should be fine, if only as a last resort. And we only use a little bit...
And it works wonderfully! Only a moment's soak and the stain is gone! Next we rinse it SO THOROUGHLY. RINSE IT
And now all that's left is to let it dry!
And if you're worried we're just having a naked little girl sit about our hospital worry no longer! She's fine
And one day of drying later....
Look at how beautiful! She's such a precious little thing! Another successful treatment from the Acetone Angel Clinic!

Una Mujer Hermosa! Starflower! Part 1
*Clop clop*
Hola....? Por favor, ayuda....
Now, no one's in trouble, I just need to know who left the tub like this-
Hm?
Oh, my!
This young lady is a Mexican Starflower! She seems to be in QUite the condition...
Her body's covered in mold, her hair is wretchedly dry, her legs are warped to one side, and her cutie mark is almost gone with time! And do I even need to mention the
Of course, my sweet assistants are quick to act! Lureluu gets right to work checking her in, and Loran sets up a warm bath and gets to cleaning the mold!
Once her outside's cleaned a bit, I open her head to make sure her insides are alright!
oAGH GOOD GRACE OF THE FALLEN ARCHANGEL
That's Mold!
It was so freakign freak nasty we forgot to take pictures of cleaning it!! Fuck
BUT we did perform a tail extraction! This poor girl had a VERY sick washer! Some of the mold may actually have been rust, considering how corroded it was!
With some prying and twisting, we broke the washer off the tail, and cleaned the rust residue out of it!
After that, Loran gets right to work washing and conditioning the main and tale!
While she does this, I take the body to fix her crooked hoofs! The poor thing can hardly stand!
The way this is done is by propping the legs apart and filling the body with boiling water!
It was hard to capture but that water's steaming I prommy. I didn't burn my hand thrice times to get called a LIAR
And now we look back to Loran to see how she's done with the hair!
Look at that! All conditionered and ironed!
And, after letting the water cool a bit, she's standing straight!
All that's left now is for her to dry off on the inside, lest the mold inside fester once more!
Next time, we will put her tail back in and repaint her!

hi! i’m about to get into pony restoration somewhat as i’ve finally reacquired a good number of g3 i collected years ago. i was wondering what kind of soap/detergent you use for washing the ponies, and their hair, if you don’t mind sharing. thank you either way !! ^_^
Hello there!! Here we don't have much money, so we use what's around the house! Any dish or body soap will do, as will any shampoo and conditioner for their hair! I hear some use fabric softener as well, though that leaves too strong of a smell and weird waxy texture for my taste! My usual order for body washing is Warm Bath + Soap > Melamine Sponge (Known to u likely as Mr Magic Eraser) > Oxyclean Soak (Or any oxygen product- works well on mold amd making things smell less Bad!) > Acetone > The Sun (And Hydrogen Peroxide cream- DO NOT!!! EVER!! Use Benzoyl Peroxide or acne cream- it used to be common in the Pony Doctor community before it was descovered it causes contagious bleaching later in life!!) Be careful with acetone around the eyes and cutie marks of your ponys, and any other paint, as acetone removes it!! And cover up the paint if you ever sun your ponies lest it Fade! Good luck on your Pony Doctoring Journey, friend!!

When to use acne cream on a MLP: NEVER.
Acne cream (specifically Remove-Zit) used to be a popular way for collectors to “fade away” pen marks and other stains. But the chemicals in acne cream can cause a pony to discolor or bleach.
Also:
Sometimes the discoloration will SPREAD from the original spot where the cream was applied.
If the pony is in physical contact with other ponies, they too may begin to discolor or fade.
Sometimes a pony will not start discoloring until years later.
Although most of these ponies are blue, even white ponies can discolor (getting yellow spots).
Even today, you will sometimes hear people advising you to use acne cream. Don’t do it. It’s not worth the risk.
Side note: I have heard some doll collectors use acne cream in a similar matter. It is entirely possible that acne cream works great on certain kinds of plastic. But MLP vinyl isn’t one of them.

Wait a Second... This isn't Firefly! Part 2
I let Loran take a hand at the rehairing tool! Firts we use it to push the old hair out through the plugs!
Freshly balted! Some of her roots are broken, but that's ok! Time to start rerooting!
3 Days Later
oh sweet lord
If you didn't know, rerooting is so long and tedious but DANG is it sure rewarding!
Look at that beautiful mane! Now for the tail...
Simple enough! We put it in the body aaand!
Now fo the last step, styling! All we need for that is the hair dryer!
Aaaand beautiful girl!! She wanted us to put that white stripe in so she'd look less like her sister! Another job well done!!

Bubbles! A very sweet lady Part 2
Sorry for the abrupt cut-off! Now for the proper rehairing, with.....
The Rehair Tool!!
I ordered mine like a baby but you can make your own with a sewing needle, some wire cutters, and anything that can be used as a removable handle!
After cutting out the shreds, we push the roots in to be pulled out through the neck!
Freshly Baldened!
Now that that's done, we can rehair!
(i forgot to get picks of the process again im sorry but its mostly pretty boring actully
And done! The new hair will need to be flattened to match the old, but that will have to be done later!
For now, we glue it in place!
Now that it's glued, we have to let it sit! She'll be staying in the hospital overnight!
The Next Day
Ok, now that the glue's dry, it's time for styling to match!
With the hair dryer, some water, and some towel to hold it down, we just have to wait for it to dry in place!
Aaaand perfect!
Pretty as a button! Another patient treated!

Do you have advice on how to get acrylic paint off of ponies? I love your account btw
Thank you!! :D If it doesn't come off with warm water and a strong scrub (some cheaper ones come off that way) then the best way to go is acetone and a lotta patience! Ofcourse, be careful around the eyes and markings so the acetone doesn't rub it off on accident! Either way you're looking at a job that needs some decent arm power, but will hopefully work out! Good luck!!

Wait a Second... That's not Firefly!
ew i dont like touching her rainy shes all sticky how much longer do we have to
O what's this ! A new patient?? Thank you!
Oh goodness, what a mess we have!
Age spots, my uncurable nemesis!! But besides that, there's a layer of grime and a rather unfortuned haircut! I think you all know how this starts!
A bath!
And whow, look how easy so much of that grime came off!
Mulch Cleamer! Unfortunatley, we don't have the materials to remove that big yellow blotch! That would require a sunbox, which we don't have the space or budget for... but someday soon!!
Anyway, now for that hair! First things first, we remove the head!
Peasy peasy! Let's get that washer out-
Ooh yeah, that's developing some rust sickness >m< But we've removed it befofre it can get so bad !! In the next poast, we'll remove it all and start the rehairing process!

Bubbles! A very sweet lady Part 1
Oh! A young lady has come to our clinic for help!
Bubble, her name is! It seems she just needs some simple cleaning!
Alright, it's time for the bath! We lost our Brush so this me-colored Bob will have to do!
After this, we do her mane and her tail!
Done! But Wait!!
Ohh! Oh, her hair's been cut in quite the strange way! She'll have to have a Rehair!!
Now we all know the first step to a rehair...
Is removing the head!!
Next up, we cut out the short bits! Slowly balding her!
Infortunately, we've run out of image space, so the rest of her rehair, including how to use the tool, will have to wait til next post! We will see you then!!

A Particularly Messy Clean Up: Dance n Prance Twirler Pt. 4
ALright!! We're gettin this done!! It's tine for...
Reconstructione!!!
Loran helps me put the mechanism back in! It takes a bit of wriggling but it doesn't resist too bad! Then, we close it up with the Glou!
Next, we patch up the little pips with some clay, spread really smooth and thin!
And finally....
Her horn!
We build her a new horn out of clay directly on the old stub, and then we push the head back onto the body! No need for gluing, the mechanism holds it in place just fine!
Next up... Painting!!
Oh how I loathe painting
These are the colors I'm using, red white and pink to mix something sorta like her body color!
Be sure to thin the color with water for easier painting! I'm still workin on that
This looks like a good shade!
Oh my grislow this always happens
Aaaaa always remember! Paint dries a bit darker than it is wet
Still, I do my best to make the colors at least look somewhat natural! But boy am I bad at painting
Now we just let her dry and hope she doesn't mind it much when she looks into the mirror!
We put her head back on and done! Not my best work... but we all start somewhere...! Perhaps I will see her again once my skills have been sufficiently strengthened!

A Particularly Messy Clean Up: Dance n Prance Twirler Pt. 3
Alright... We've done all the cleaning... now for...
The Dismantling.
Tee hee! This is gonna be a pretty intense surgery, I've never attempted something like it before!
Here we go!!
Oh wholly crape she cuts like butter.
I guess these guys had to be Extra Soft and Pliable in order to fit these Mechanisms inside!
Aaand Open!
Now, we can't just pull it out, since it's plugged in through the tail! So we just make a lil pip here andddddd
With some Pulling here we Are!!!
From here, I can examine the mechanism with my Doctorly Eye....
Oh! Right away I can see a handful of problems!!
Two little triangle bits used to control the size of the metal are breaking loose, and one gear seems to be Just Out of Place!
At least two of these issues can be fixed pretty Simply...
With my good pal Very Proportionally Large Bottle of Glue!
Everything is large when you're my size I can't help it
With the glue and a stick, we can push the Triangles back into place! Very hard to do to be honest
And combining the glue with some yarn forms a stopper for the gear to keep in place!!
My friends!
Now , we're almost done with this advanture! Next poust will be putting her all the way back together and fixing up all her dents and scratches! Overall, it's gone well!!
End of Part 3...

A Particularly Messy Clean Up: Dance n Prance Twirler Pt. 2
Now, last poast we finished up with the initial bath! Now, it's time for
Her hair!
A little brushie and an ironing make her hair smooth like a very smooth thing!
Perfecto!
Oh wait.
Well... due to her particular body position it makes it rather hard to iron her evenly.... so there's only one thing to be done!
SURGARY TIME!!
Surgeries are usually used to clean out a horse's insides, like if its washer gets rusty! In this case this horse needs it anyway to fix her internals, so I might as well open the girl up and do her hair!
Oh wow! No plug, it was all glue and the mechanism holding her head in place!
But with that, we can finish ironing her hair proper!!
And now, we can commence the Hard Part.... the Mechanism!!
End of Part 2...

Oh.
my
Glog,
This is one of the roughest girls we've come into contact with! She's got
Ass bites!!
All kinds of Grimes!
Is that Coral Blue No. 2????
Not to mention what Rainy mentioned to me when she dropped her off, that her internal mechanism is broken, which seems to be mostly unexplored territory!
Alright, alright. Overwhelming! I am still new to this all! But! We must start with the first step. Which is!
Bath time!!!
Well, already good progress! That makeup came off lickity spit (so did the grimes but I forgot to snap pics x.x) and we didn't even need acetone!
But our work is Far from done here!! God this is gonna be so much work
But I won't give up! I'me the Acetone Angel and I will Never give up on a patient or so help me God!!!!
End of Part 1....
