Seriously, if you’re in love with a story idea and you want to start writing first thROW IT UP.  DON’T WASTE TIME, TAKE EVERYTHING YOU WANT IN YOUR SCENES AND VOMIT IT EVERYWHERE, EVERY WORD, DIALOGUE, SENTENCE, TYPOS AND ALL then go back later and pick through the grossness for the little bits of gold that really sparkled and stitch it all together.  Easier said than done, I know, but it’s way more efficient than spending hours on getting one dinky paragraph just right.

I really want a ship for my predaking which is a very delicate balance between an terribly evil character and a very noble character- both are attracted but both know at some point they will probably end up having to either kill the other or (highly unlikely) one of them changing sides.

writing advice: never italicize words to show emphasis! if you’re writing well then the reader will know and you don’t need them!
