My question though for real is why people want to act like Chris Brown is the only male celebrity to assault a woman…. he deserves all the backlash he’s gotten and more but please call everyone out, don’t be a hypocrite. Michael Fassbender was charged with assaulting an ex gf. Bill Murray an ex wife. Woody Allen molested his adopted daughter. David O Russell sexually assaulted his niece. Sean Penn tied Madonna to a chair and beat her for hours, he even used a baseball bat. John Lennon physically abused his first wife and admitted in an interview with Playboy that he hit women, but people want to act like he was an icon of peace and love. But I guess it’s easier to ignore, given the fact that they’re white and carry a lot of clout.

i want men to be able to emotionally connect with people they don’t plan on having sex with. i want men to stop assuming i am planning on having sex with them because i make an effort to engage with them emotionally. i want men to stop feeling personally betrayed by the fact that i engage deeply & genuinely with people regardless of whether i desire them sexually, because i value people & seek to understand & connect with them regardless of sexual attraction
