Creating Comedy: exploring Morticia Addams in my latest skit
Are you ready for a laugh? This week I decided to try something I’ve always wanted to have a go at but have never been quite brave enough…create my very own comedy skit, featuring Morticia Addams! I know, I know…it’s not anywhere near Halloween but I’ve always adored The Addams Family—both the original series from back in the 60s to Angelica Huston’s version to the newest Wednesday show. I just…

Embracing Authenticity
Hello my lovely friends. Sorry I’ve been AWOL for a little while. I had intended to post early this week but came down with Michael’s ‘man flu’ lol. OMG IU’ve been feeling absolutely dreadful. Today though, I want to talk about a topic that’s been on my mind lately: authenticity. You know, that beautiful quality of being true to yourself, no matter what the world throws at you. Recently, I…

These are exciting times | Link-up
Hello lovelies! How are you? I’m doing fabulously…these are exciting times. I’ve just made a huge decision to merge my two blogs: if you want to find out why, you can read about it over there, but I don’t want to repeat myself, I just want to get on with it and start having some fun over here! So, here we are again. Starting over in these exciting times. I’m such a drama queen, aren’t I? But I…

How to get rid of unsightly sunspots in a few weeks
I know this isn’t the kind of thing I normally post but it was such a big deal that I just had to share it! I recently made an ugly, raised, sunspot disappear completely in less than three weeks. I know, right? Sounds like rubbish but it really isn’t it. It worked a treat and my forehead is now completely clear. Check out this quick video I made in YouTube to find out how I did it using castor…

Knitting project | I made my first snood!
My attempts at creativity are getting better….kind of! Recently, I decided to finish a knitting project I started years ago. When I say knitting project, I mean just continue to knit the plain old knit stitch (it’s the only one I’ve mastered) until the ball of wool runs out and see how it turns out! It ended up being a rather long scarf which was very wonky, so I made it into a snood and gave it…

I tried to dye my hair pink
Earlier this year, I purchased some hair colour and I tried to dye my hair pink a few weeks ago. I’m not particularly good at this kind of thing so I made a bit of a mess out of it lol. Also, while waiting for the colour to take, I decided to try a peel-off mask I bought. That was also a disaster! For a laugh and to see what happened, check out the video above, or visit my YouTube channel. Don’t…

I made a circle skirt
In my ongoing attempts at becoming more creative, I’ve been having some fun with my old trusty sewing machine that Michael bought for me probably over 25 years ago! Recently, I made a circle skirt. I’m quite proud of myself for having managed to make something I can actually wear (provided nobody looks too closely lol!). Check out the video above, or via YouTube and please consider subscribing to…

I made a scarf out of an old jumpsuit
As part of my attempt at becoming more creative, one of my first projects recently was to make a scarf out of an old jumpsuit. It’s a pretty basic upcycle but I had to start small! If you’re interested in finding out how I dit it, check out the video above, or find me directly on YouTube (please consider subscribing and giving it a like!). Thank you so much!

I tried out TEMU so you don't have to (unless you want to, of course!)
I recently decided to try out TEMU because there seems to be so much hype surrounding it and I wanted to know what all the fuss was about. So, if you’re interested to know if TEMU is selling treasure or trash, check out the video, above! Alternatively, you can visit me directly on YouTube.

Caldeirada | A traditional Portuguese recipe made vegan!
Hey lovely friends! Sorry I haven’t been posting much lately on the blog. I have, however, been sharing videos over on the YouTube channel! So I’m going to start posting the videos here as well. The first is a vegan recipe I like to make called Caldeirada. It’s a traditional Portuguese recipe that is usually made with fish or chicken but, because we stopped eating animal products a few years ago,…

Daydreams & Curiosities | Crafting a magical and creative future
It’s been a while since I had that fire in my belly to create and with the re-launch of my old YouTube channel (which I’ve re-branded Daydreams & Curiosities), it’s starting to gain momentum again which is awesome. I think perhaps the weather helps though, too, to be honest. I find I’m much more excited about everything when it starts to cool down, because I simply don’t seem to be able to…
