Sushi All Around The World
Sushi is a wonderful dish from Japan that has been consumed by many people over the years. People like to try it when they go to Japan as well as in many other countries such as Canada, Australia and the United States. Sushi originated in the Japanese islands of Okinawa, and the word itself means "delicious grilled fish". Some may wonder if there is any meat or bones with the fish in this delicious dish. This is not the case, as the fish is made into sushi while there is no meat used.
Sushi is an entire item that comes from the marination of various items that you want to be preserved. Sushi may be made from raw fish, however it can also be made from seafood including shrimp, squid, clams, octopus, lobsters, mussels, shellfish, sea urchin, scallops, etc. Sushi is sometimes also made from cuts of beef or pork, though this may be rare. Sushi is generally eaten raw but some cultures use a cooked form of the fish as well as some items like soybeans and other grains. This allows people to still get the wonderful taste of sushi without all the harmful chemicals that are present in a raw fish preparation.
I would say that sushi is one of my favorite place to eat. I love the raw fish taste of it. I have to admit that I have tried several types of sushi, but I really love my raw fish sushi. Sushi is very popular in Japan as well as in other parts of the world. In fact it is one of the most popular items on the menus at most restaurants around the world. I just love to eat it! It is actually such a refreshing change from the more typical American style of eating that I think everyone can enjoy some sushi at one time or another.
