“Thank you.”
Mira quietly walked in, sitting on the couch near the window. She was silent for a little while, seemingly deep in thought, before looking up at the other.
“Has my brother been doing well?”
survivalistmira-yorke:
She was right. Even if the other wasn’t certain when they would return, Mira would soon get to see him again. The brother she had thought she’d lost so long ago was really alive and soon she’d be able to see him again!
…ah, she should have expected that. Who knew if this woman was aware of the events that had transpired ten years ago, and if she’d believe Mira if she did know…but it’d be rude not to tell.
“…Mira. Mira Yorke. Simon is my younger brother.”
“O-Oh!”
His sibling! He had heard in passing that Simon had a rather extensive family and that there was… an incident at his hometown. She knew better than to pry so she simply offered him tea whenever he seemed to need a pick-me-up.
Speaking of which…
Tumblr media
“Please, come in! Make yourself at home.” Rosa had stepped aside and opened the door wider so that Mira would be able to let herself in.

“Ah, y-yes…” Now that she could actually see into the manor a bit, it was obvious that the guild was out. And, though she was a bit disappointed that she couldn’t see her brother right away, she was also somewhat relieved. After all, she had no idea how he’d react to her being alive.
“Um…I heard that the guild Eaque was staying here, and…that one of the members…well…”
Might as well get confirmation.
“There…is a member of the guild named Simon, am I right?”
Tumblr media
“Why yes, you are. However, the guild went out into the labyrinth this morning and I’m not sure when they’ll return,” Rosa had to wonder what the woman would want with him. They did share similar appearances but she knew better than to assume. It’s rather rude.
“May I ask who you are?”

This had to be the place. She had asked around town about the famous Etrian guild, solely because one of the members had a name all too familiar to her. Someone had mentioned the mansion they seemed to stay at often, and as soon as she heard that info, Mira had rushed to where the person had said it was located.
Nervously, Mira walked up to the front door. She wasn’t all too sure if the person she was looking for was there at the current moment, but it was her best shot. She steadied her nerves, then reached up and knocked at the door.

Mira frowned. “We can’t be certain...but they’ve listened in before, so we’re always careful about this sort of thing.”
After quickly looking at and sharing a nod with the rest of her group, Mira turned to the others with a serious expression.
“The name of the organization itself has been mentioned earlier, but...we are members of the Spasitel Order. Specifically, we are part of the Doverny Group.”
Kaseo nodded. “And we don’t deal with any ordinary missions...I’m certain the rumors have spread here as well, about how the order is practically at war with some other group. I’m afraid they’re all true.”
Mira continued where he left off. “That group is Desordre. We don’t know their full ambitions, but they’re definitely seeking power...and they’ll do anything to obtain it. That is what our group mainly deals with. And something like this...they’ll definitely want to find some way to use it for their own gain.”
“And...we can’t be fully certain,” Harita said. “But it’s possible that the ones you said you’re looking for have gotten caught up in this whole mess.”

“I see...” It was admittedly understandable. From what the group had learned, those ruins were important to High Lagaard. For what reason, they didn’t know, but that much was obvious.
Harita sighed. “...we should continue this talk somewhere more private.” People heading to and from the labyrinth could unintentionally eavesdrop...plus, for some reason, Beloye (and Mira as well, though less obviously) seemed to be observing the surrounding area, as if worried that someone specific could be watching.

At the mention of the members’ disappearance, Mira seemed to tense up somewhat, but like the serious expression she had had a moment ago, it quickly vanished.
After quickly introducing themselves to the new duo, Kaseo spoke up. “Yes, we heard about what happened in Etria that dealt with that. One of our informants was there when it all happened and gave us the news when they got back.”
Harita nodded. “Eventually, another informant reported on similar happenings here, and after the situation was scouted by another group of members, we were sent to look further into it.”

“Lady Yuliena sent us to investigate this place based on various bits of information others have gathered.” Beloye answered. “It sounded too similar to other missions we’ve done for us to ignore.”
Yui grinned. “We were specifically sent because we’re some of the most trusted members of the Spasitel Order!”
“You’re way too excited about this.”
(Despite the somewhat-joking tone in Mira’s voice, a serious look flashes for a brief moment on her face, though it vanishes in an instant.)

Mira nodded at Simon’s question, and the two who were previously simply watching walked up as well.
The pirate lady smiled. “So I suppose Mira told you all a bit of the story.” Her grin widened. “Name’s Harita. ‘nd these two are Kaseo-” she gestured to the black-haired male who brightly smiled at the trio. “-and Beloye.” She then motioned towards the older looking man, who simply bowed.

Mira brightly smiled. “Of course!” She also wanted more time with her brother. Soon, she’d be able to speak of everything she had been doing.
(Of course, she’d leave out a few things. She didn’t want to worry him.)
The grin never left her face as they continued their way towards the town. Yui watched her for a while, a look of slight surprise on her face, before a gentle smile formed on her face.
Eventually, when the group drew close to the town, a call of Mira’s name had her looking towards another group-specifically, at a young woman in a pirate’s outfit quickly walking towards her.
“There you are!” The woman stopped in front of Mira, eyes scanning her completely.
As if sensing the woman’s concern for her (even if it was obvious from her actions and expression), Mira nervously chuckled. “Harita, I’m fine, settle down.”
Meanwhile, the remaining two in the group-a young boy with black hair and a monochrome-colored coat, and a man with a blue robe and cape-watched the whole scene from a short distance away.

It was when the others spoke up that the ninja finally realized that Mira wasn’t alone. She glanced over at them, equally as confused.
Mira sighed. “Well, I was going to explain eventually.” Finally prying the ninja’s arms off of her, she turned to the rest. “This is Yui. She’s a coworker of mine.”
“Coworker, ally, whatever!” Yui grinned. “Whatever someone calls it, it still stands that me and Mira work together a lot, along with the rest of our little squad. We do super duper important work! All in the name of our wonderful Lady Yuliena!”
Mira gave the group a look (out of Yui’s line of sight, of course) that clearly said ‘they aren’t all like her, i promise’.

“...right.”
The walk back was quiet. Mira wanted to say so much to her brother, to tell him what she had been doing all this time and to hear what he was doing...but she knew that this was a lot for him to take in.
When the silence finally broke, it wasn’t Mira who did it...rather, not entirely her. A blur of green and orange suddenly shot over to them, latching onto Mira and making her stumble back.
“Wh-Yui, w-what are you-”
The aforementioned blur could now be identified as a short girl wearing a green and orange ninja-esc outfit. She seemed completely focused on Mira, paying no attention to the others in the group.
“You didn’t come back when you said you would!”
“...Yui, saying ‘a couple minutes’ does not actually mean two minutes.”
“Still!”

survivalistmira-yorke  :
The girl glanced over at Arthur when he asked her the question, then smiled gently, mouthing something like ‘you’ll see in a moment’ to him.
Once Simon finished helping Raquna, she slightly waved at him to catch his attention, the smile still on her face. Then, finally, she spoke…in a voice that would perhaps sound familiar.
“It’s been quite some time, hasn’t it?”
She then pulled her hood off. White hair flowed down her back, and blue eyes watched the medic, waiting for his reaction to seeing the face of his older sister.
💥 ~ The medic raised an eyebrow as the woman caught his attention. Was she going to reveal who she was? From most reports, the other never quite stuck around to really give a new, disappearing right after the people who were in danger were confirmed safe. Why was she-?

He freezes, the sight of the other’s face made eyes widened. The face of his sister nearly making his heart stop. He had never thought he would see that face again, heart aching as he tried to say something. “Sis… ter…” Part of him wanted to run and hug her more than anything, but he had plenty of self restraint… Now was a time for asking questions…
“How…?”
Didn’t she die that day?
Meanwhile, Arthur and Raquna stood in shock, finding this almost unbelievable. Simon Yorke’s sister still drew breath?!
The girl quietly looked down, a melancholic look on her face. “It’s...quite a long story.” So much had happened between now and the day she thought she had lost her beloved brother forever.
She then looked back up at him, smile once again bright and gentle, though the melancholy still was noticeable somewhat. (And, despite her smile, she seemed as if she would burst into tears at any moment.)
“...I really missed you.”

The girl nodded, beginning to follow the group as they ran away from the herd. She was well aware of her level of strength, and though she was strong, she knew it wouldn’t be enough to take care of four more of those things.
Oddly, as they ran, she would sometimes glance up to look at Simon before looking down as if trying to decide something. Eventually, she nodded to herself. Whatever she had just decided was obviously important to her.

One arrow. Then another.
Multiple sharp arrows shot at the Ragelope’s weak points in rapid succession, aimed from somewhere within the treetops. And once the deer fell, the source was made clear.
A person hopped down from the trees and landed in front of the group. She was obviously a survivalist, considering her clothes and sturdy-looking bow, but they couldn’t see her face, as it was covered by a dark hood.
Quietly, the girl tilted her head, as if silently asking if they were alright.

💥 ~ There had been multiple rumors of a strange woman helping those who ventured into the Labyrinth.
While Simon, Raquna, and Arthur had originally come to investigate the blinding light and the disappearance of one the members of Midgard Library, they soon found themselves investigating this new mystery as well. While normally they wouldn’t pay much mind to it, but it seemed possible that this was connected to what they had come here for.
So that’s why they were in the Labyrinth now, searching for answers. While they were lacking two party members at the moment… Surely they would be fine on the first floor without them as they gathered answers right? No of course not. Things aren’t that easy in the Labyrinth!
F.O.E’s were a thing after all!
So the group of three were now cornered byfive Ragelopes, not a good situation for them. It was no surprise they were on the losing end of the battle after a while. How did they get cornered like this? Why were the Ragelopes unnaturally angry?
Tumblr media
“Raquna! Arthur we must retreat!”
Tumblr media
“That’s easier said than done!”
Tumblr media
“There’s no openings!”
This wasn’t looking well.
