I feel like a lot of indie horror game people should just write short horror stories instead? Like the games are so linear (and ones with multiple endings are like. Did you die yes or no?) and i dont think the interactivity actually adds anything for a lot of them. I get that the appeal is getting that anxiety about being chased and i....dont get that because i watch other people which is a fair criticism but like when all the chase sequences are still hide in a locker/under a bed (breath mechanic optional) or kite dudes around furniture why wouldnt a structured unique chase scene be better? Which again is something that works better in a short story than a game

#Would most of the stories be mid nosleep admissions? Yes but right now some of these games are ripped off from nosleep so like its already #Happening just in the wrong direction thats why these games are so fucking bad #We gotta get weird puzzles back instead of list of mundane tasks to waste time then call that suspense or add shooting or something #Maybe call your new game tenant malice

Maybe this is just me but I am really surprised that 2023 was the first time a lot of people heard about Palestine because 2021 was when settlers tried expelling Palestinians from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah - this then escalated to the IOF attacking Palestinians in Al Aqsa and throughout the country (almost 300 Palestinians in Gaza were killed and thousands were injured) - there were massive protests all over the world in response. 2021 really laid the foundations for everything that is happening now but it surprises me how little people actually mention the uprising then or were even aware it was happening.

i wish i could say this more eloquently but watching these college solidarity encampments popping up around the world… watching university faculty use themselves as shields to protect their students from the police… watching these students put their own safety on the line to demand divestments… i’ve never seen anything like it, and every update moves me to tears.

Being a young adult is so strange. You enter a coffee shop. The 20 year old girl waiting behind you cried all night because she just came to a new city for university and she feels so alone. That 27 year old guy over there works a job he is overqualified for, he lives with his parents and wants to move out but doesn't know what to do about it. That one 24 year old dude already has a car, a house, and a job waiting for him once he graduates thanks to his dad's connections. The 26 year old barista couldn't complete his higher education because he has to work and take care of his family. Rimworld update I think what i like the most about the rimworld anomaly dlc is how there are more threats that have to be outlasted or at least for me are more engaging to outlast rather than face. Whenever zombies or right now ive got a death pall show up its nice to be like okay everyone we're sheltering in place for um. Lets give it a week 😁👍

It feels kind of weird to be like yeah what engaging is not doing anything but i like having to react in such a drastic way and it feels engaging story wise that yeah everyones gonna be cooped up and scared and maybe food becomes more of an issue or someone has to sneak out to access something.
