it really is irritating how upset people get about the word transsexual because like… there is a reason the words tranny and fag are slurs. there is a reason we tw those words, whether we should or not, and there’s a reason people have such a history with them. but transsexual is a slur like transgender is lol. 10 years from now it’ll be something else and we’ll call transgender offensive or whatever but like it is literally our word that we happen to use less often.

I want to add: A lot of nonbinary people also use transmasculine/transfeminine/transneutral* to explain what their transition looks like, rather than their actual gender identity. Not all transfems have feminine genders, not all transmascs have masculine genders, and not all transneutrals have neutral genders.

*Another term like this is transandrogynous, which is what I am 👍

Can you explain the terms 'transneutral' and everything else in that post? I've genuinely never heard of those terms before, and I'm a little confused.

Transneutral is trans people who have neutral genders , transfem is trans people who have feminine genders, and transmasc is trans people who have masculine genders.

MtX and FtX means Male to Nonbinary and Female to Nonbinary, it’s like MtF and FtM.
