Original TS2 cards aren't great but I was never motivated enough to default those (we're talking ~100 resources here) ...until I saw this 19thc deck 😍. Card effects are still a bit glitchy - can't do nothing about it, but nice cards make it easier to watch.

*I've included a mesh-only default for card deck - it's compatible with texture defaults. As far as I know, only @gingerplaysthesims has made one (it's a classic clean white deck, textures are smaller than my DR).

And here's my edit of Black Jack's Rest poker table aka Pirate Card Table extracted from Castaway. It is not recolourable so I created a smaller dining table and repositoried the large thing to it:

I might as well add an edit of strip poker table into the mix. This fun object was created by Simslice, for a while I've been using @hugelunatic 's repositoried version but animations bothered me (naked Sim leaves the table and starts spinning that noisy birthday thingy, then gets double panic attack ). @episims kindly helped me remove those anims . If you want it, it's here (SFS)*

*Simslice TOU doesn't allow sharing or editing their stuff, so I guess that includes object fixes (?) I will remove this DL, if asked to do so.

Wider Design Tool

You know how it is with tons of recolors. With this UI mod, Design Mode window is a bit wider and fits a row of 10 recolors, instead of 5.

Choose a version for your UI: maxis original / clean / starship 🖤

Credits to maxis, @greatcheesecakepersona, and @simstate for the images I edited to make this mod, and to @tvickiesims for recoloring one rug a million times :) this doesn't even begin to address the issue, but I did what I could.

Default replacement for The Sims 2 Engagement Ring Box. Decorative version is included as bonus (pic above, on the right).

Thanks to the brilliant @episims​​ who helped me make this replacement, it’s now possible to have a few different box textures in the game! When your Sims propose, one out of seven colour combinations will be picked at random.

Engagement Ring Stones by Color Traits

A mod that makes engagement ring stones appear in the wearer's favorite color if they have a favorite color trait in their inventory.

Any existing engagement rings will update themselves after installing the mod, but it might take a moment to happen. If you change a sim's favorite color while they're engaged, the stone color will change too the next time the ring is loaded (for example when visiting a community lot).

The stone of the ring used for proposing will be in the favorite color of the proposed sim. If a sim has more than one favorite color trait in their inventory, the alphabetically highest one will rule the color. The default stone is white, sims without a favorite color trait will use that.

This mod is compatible with these platinum/silver ring replacements by @shastakiss.

Easy Inventory Check is required. Conflicts with any engagement ring replacements which alter the stone.

Technical info: the color changes are done with TXMTs and I didn't even need to replace the mesh this time, it's a very lite mod!

Update (11.9.2022): Chris Hatch's fix for wedding/engagement ring checks is now incorporated. If you have it just delete it before adding this mod. As a side effect, this update should also make the stone's color updates instant.

A little something I've been planning to do for a while, and finally did. These are 24 new trait objects: 12 for favorite color, and 12 for disliked color. They work like the ones from the traits project so the idea is to place them in your sims' inventories.

Included colors are: black, blue, brown, green, grey, orange, pink, purple, red, turquoise, white, and yellow.

They're shipped with their own randomizer, located under misc/misc. It has options to add a random favorite color, add a random disliked color, add both, or remove all color traits from a sim. The randomizer won't add a favorite/disliked color that already appears as either version in the sim's inventory.

So what do they do? Just on their own, they're an easy way to randomize and keep track of sims' color preferences in-game. I also have some plans for mods that make use of these, but I decided to share them separately as it might take a while before I'll get those done. If you'd like to use these for your own mods, feel free to!

They show up in the collection folder only, so to hand-pick color traits you'll need the collection file included with the download.

Download (SFS) (alternate) - files are compressed, Nightlife or later EP is required. A text file with trait GUIDs for modders is included.

Important! Also includes trait_MAIN package by Hexagonal-Bipyramid. It contains the mesh and a thumbnail override for the trait objects and is required for these to work. If you already have it from the traits project, you can delete the file.

Update (31.8.2022): Fixed the randomizer's invisible recolor so that it shows up correctly.

Crib Animation Teeth Fix

I was browsing through my dash today when I saw a pic of this happening, and realized that I know how to fix it. So here's just that: a quick replacement for the crib crying anims that move those levitating teeth into the mouth, where they belong.

Download (SFS) (alternate) - the file is compressed. Shouldn't conflict with anything.

I tested this fix with a few poor toddlers different faces and the teeth didn't stick out anymore, but let me know if you have any issues!

This is so cute. Love the recolours!

A few days ago Epi asked me if I’d like to make recolours for “Modern Arf” Dog Pen that they’ve turned into Rabbit Pen. I gave it a go and realised that original pen mesh had no potential whatsoever.. Bunny is just too damn cute to sit behind that thing!

Here’s my edit of the default replacement created by @deedee-sims​​ and @episims​​  - I’ve included invisible recolours, so you can overlay it with whatever you like. It comes with two decor items: hay clumps (rug), and rabbit kennel.

Such a good idea!

Rabbit pen - a default replacement (yet another collab with @episims​ ❤)

Put your hand up if you ever used this toy dog pen! 🙋‍♀️ No one? Yeah, thought so XD

Originally I wanted to make this a custom pen, but then we decided that the toy dog pen wouldn’t be missed, so we made a default! And also, because the animations needed to be edited, and it was easier this way! (we’re not going to create a custom verison)

The bunny comes from sims 4 (many thanks to @tvickiesims​ for extracting it!), but it got adjusted to the pen. It has all the original 8 color variations (4 as defaults, and 4 recolors)! The animations are not accurate (that’s not how bunnies move!), and there’s also some clipping as well, but that was the best we could do. The weirdest animations got removed though, so the bunnies don’t bark at least. The sounds also got removed, bunbun is a silent creature!

The bunny has its own pet treat, and its own food box texture. The pen also got a little facelift, featuring some hay, a chewing stick, and a wooden bunny house! (that they never use, but whatever, it’s part of the ~aesthetic~) Despite this, all the existing recolors should work fine with this default!

The toy dog-related wants (and fears) also got adjusted, so now sims roll wants and fears about the bunnies instead of the dogs! Important! The Wants file in the download shouldn’t be renamed, because it’ll stop working!

The description and interaction texts were changed and got translated to Finnish and Hungarian as well. If you wish to provide a translation to other languages, please contact Epi!

A couple of years ago I downloaded a bunch of TS2 Conversions from Life Stories to The Sims 2 from MATY/MTS2. I noticed that Vincent’s Computer was not updated for Apartment Life, so I updated It myself. It's found in Buy Mode under Electronics. Blue recolour included in the zip file.

SEASONAL AL POND

Have you ever noticed that in Belladonna Cove at winter the all decorations are covered with snow, except ponds? For me, it’s a monstrous injustice! So I have added the missing resources for enabling the seasons, and now the maxis pond isn’t plastic hot lake, huh, and it’s covering by ice in winter.

Furthermore! There is a problem with creating a new neighborhood, when the map is covered with ponds, that the game chooses as random trees. It looks like a mushroom on the slopes, look:

So, for solving this trouble I have recategorized ponds from flora to misc. Now the game will not choose ponds as trees for placement.

Can be placed on roads, lots, and under water. Compressed.

I remember several different default replacements for pond textures. Therefore, I prepared several archives of my default.

Choose only one archive to download:

Standard version - just an addition file with SSN-enabling for Maxis pond + recategorizing.

Blue version - ssn + recat + default with blue water as in the iCad’s cloned pond

Lush-Blue version - ssn + recat + default with blue water and green grass as in the Eulalia cloned pond with CuriousB-style grass
