saw that last bb noct ask and HI I HAVE THOUGHTS!! I think noctis' childhood traumas would probably be a big part of his regression unfortunately. like when his back pain flares up from his childhood injury or his dad emotionally neglects him (THANKS FOR THE FATHER ISSUES REGIS) he gets the urge to feel little, dresses in a onesie and pacifier, and snuggles up in bed with his teddy while watching disney movies and having a smol crying session to himself. he's just so LONELY and.....ugh someone help him *sobs*

LATEST REPLY EVER!!! but yes i agree! i dont particularly think regis is a /bad/ dad per-se, it just kind of comes with being king/not having time/etc etc and its unfortunate. i dont think he wanted to be like that but you know, wanting something to be different doesnt mean it changes.

i like to imagine when he was younger noct of course had iggy around to hang out + do stuff with (which, i think has its own issues, being the de facto parental figure while you are also a kid isnt great, i can attest to that!) but naturally when hes older hes got the other bros as well so hes not /as/ lonely anymore!

what do you hc noct's little age would be? for me I think he'd be like,, a full on babey. he'd rly just love being bottle-fed and pampered, getting lots of snuggles and naps. he's even shyer than normal and rarely talks out loud when he feels small bc hh feelings are hard when your mind is so tiny. and he!! needs!! onesies and pacis!! and all his stuffies and fav blankie!! or he'll cry!!

i am like really bad with putting specific numbers to it but i agree! just a little guy. i own the strategy guide and there is this little bit on his page and i think about it like crazy

like. he is simply a lonely people pleaser! i often see those traits being applied to prom (which is still good do not get me wrong) but seeing it the other way around is so 😭 someone get this fella his buddies and lots and lots of reassurance stat!!

question for other agere/dre people out there!

i've always wondered about this and i wanted to see if it was a common thing or just a me thing so bear with me but!

i avoid the use of the word "hate" here because i generally think it's pretty impossible to truly hate real babies/kids, and use "dislike" instead as more of a broad thing.

personally i dont "dislike" them, more so just certain qualities, think the typical 'babies are gross/ugly' kind of rhetoric lol. which makes it harder to dream/regress because my mind automatically goes 'babies = gross = dont do that'. (i also wonder if this is due to a general dislike of kids ever since i was very young, or some combination of not wanting kids in the future/the ocd/autism)

i just wonder if its common or not, as it seems like it'd be unusual/counterintuitive in these spaces! i could also just be overthinking things, but i figure if i've thought about it this much then surely someone else has as well! id be interested to hear other opinions/povs on this!
