It’s was for his birthday in 2022, and I got the idea for this drawing from a birthday prompt list “flowers for dream”

…the prompt list was supposed to be for 12 days but I decided to combine it into one piece. drawing all these flowers were not fun.

Thinking about how mentally ill c!Dream is and it makes me wanna throw up. Like this guy implying that he was low key having a whole existential crisis about the death system and people appearing at random but then said “fuck it we ball”.

the part that makes me lose it the most is that, exactly as dr3 keeps pointing to target me specifically, it only takes him two months to go from finding out about the revive book to deciding he's going to tear his entire life apart and put himself in solitary confinement. like. two months. and nobody stops to be like "is this guy, like, okay?" because c!wilbur's goddamn fucking story dictates that c!dream is the evil tyrant who just wants chaos and it makes perfect sense for him to be acting that way.

The scariest part about that armor set is the fact it had basic enchantments

honestly i think the final incarnation we saw of nightmare made more sense than that time he had fucking like blast protection on his chestplate like fr as crazy as it may be, and as terrifying of a flex it is to just walk around without protection against any specific type, c!dream's prot 4 everything is unironically not only better overall at a protecting him against everything, it's also very well-suited for his purposes and fighting style.

basically: you can take dream out of the manhunt, but you can't take the manhunt out of dream.

so, c!dream is not a tank. his reputation was never one of being hard to kill, it's just that you'd have to catch him first and that shit was literally impossible.

he had no use for protection against specific kinds of damage when protection 4 gave him all he needed in the off-chance people actually hit him. you could argue for fire protection since protection doesn't do anything against fire ticks, but full netherite already gives you like 60% resistance against fire, and c!dream also walked around with god apples on him like they were renewable. his priorities are always pretty noticeably on getting the fuck away as fast as possible, with his weapons generally focusing on dealing enough damage to have his opponent hesitate before following.

in addition to the regular ass protection 4 + unbreaking 3 + mending enchants, his helmet and boots also had Get Away Quickly enchants. the helmet had respiration 3, which combines well with the depth strider on his boots. his boots also had soul speed. both of those are about making a quick getaway in difficult terrain.

also, max feather falling + max prot 4 made him immune to any kind of fall damage at all. which is why he was just throwing himself off of cliffs and spamming ender pearls like nobody's business.

okay, you ask, but why not thorns? and, well, while that might be good for pvp and certainly something c!dream might consider even with the durability loss, the specific version of nightmare we know about is from the disc finale. i don't think c!dream would wear thorns armor to his mountain battle with c!tommy and c!tubbo and risk losing control of the fight. the main reason he is able to be so aggressive and control it to the extent he does is that he is acutely aware of how much damage he is dealing to each of them, which allows him to know when to back off and when to pressure. thorns introduces too much chance, and it's both too risky for a fight that cannot result in a death but has to convince them he is willing to kill them, and also relies too much on chance for a guy who's such a control freak.
