On Hifumi respecting women, wasn't his whole reason for going along with Celeste's plan because she told him that Taka hurt her? He was was risking an execution to protect his friends and that's really sweet. Replaying THH recently I had the realization that really he did nothing wrong and he's just a respectful guy. I don't like seeing him flanderized simply because of his looks.

while i sincerely doubt that was his main/only reason (considering celeste felt she had to lie that kiyotaka was planning to kill him so he could have alter ego to himself), it is pretty clear that learning about what kiyondo "did" to celeste helped steel his resolve that kiyotaka deserved the death that was coming to him and was more willing to be the person to do it
