☆ in which a bag of groceries make seungkwan measure the extent of your love
☆ seungkwan x gn!reader — cw: food, seungkwan’s tits are out (._.)
Tumblr media
there’s a tension growing in your upper back from carrying so many grocery bags on your own. giving yourself a quick shoulder rub, you make your way to your bedroom whose door is still shut.
carefully opening it, you’re relieved to see it’s still pitch black inside; you’ve apparently been quiet enough not to wake seungkwan up. or at least you have been until now:
“hey sunshine”, his drowsy voice greets you from the bed. in the dark, you can barely make out his arms stretching over his head. “where were you? what time is it?”
he leans to the side to turn on your bedside lamp; the sight of his messy hair and sleepy eyes make your heart swoon just a little.
“10 am. i went grocery shopping, figured the supermarket would be less crowded in the morning”, you reply, sitting next to him.
and you were right, there was practically no one in the aisles today; which was more than welcome considering you had to buy enough groceries to feed all twelve members’ stomachs tonight.
“you should have woken me up!” seungkwan protests, but the way his eyes are still struggling with adjusting to the light proves how much he needed to sleep in. “…did you find everything you wanted?” he asks, lifting one end of the covers to invite you in.
you nod as you happily snuggle against his bare chest, something that might be due to the fact that most of his comfy t-shirts are hidden away on your side of the closet.
“i bought some peanut butter for the cookies, of course i’ll also make regular ones for vernon”, you start explaining, trying to remember the items in your bags: “some paper towels too. i also got some mangos to make those smoothies cheol told me about. oh and i found jun’s shampoo! the one that was sold out everywhere! he asked for two bottles just in case.”
cheek pressed against his skin, you can’t really see his smile growing a bit more with every sentence. but something about the way his fingers start to gently rub your scalp lets you know how grateful he’s feeling.
because not only have you made active efforts to remember these little details about the people he loves, you’ve made them happily and willingly. as if loving him and loving the people he cares about naturally came hand in hand to you.
“i think it’s about time i start gatekeeping you”, he eventually blurts out, bringing the covers up to your nose. “i’ll call the guys, tell them tonight is cancelled. i’m never letting you out in the world again.”
a bashful smile tugging on your lips, you prop yourself up on an elbow to look at him: “you can’t do that. you love showing me off too much. besides, we can’t rob the world of our insane chemistry.”
your words draw a chuckle out of him, because not even him and his usual wittiness can’t deny what you just said.
“i love you”, he simply replies, his fingertips lightly scratching the back of your neck.
you’ve been hearing these three words on a regular basis for the past couple of years, yet you’re still unable to suppress the giddiness in your eyes.
“i’m glad you do… because i paid the groceries with your credit card”, you reply teasingly, but it doesn’t take more than a few seconds before you add a sincere: “i love you too.”
basking in the intimacy of your old lamp’s yellowish hues, he leans forward to leave a delicate kiss on your lips, your breaths intertwining as his hand lays a bit flatter on your neck.
his smile echoes on your face when you finally break the kiss, as you watch him readjust his position to rest more comfortably on the pillow.
“you know, i might not actually gatekeep you forever… but i’m gonna borrow your freedom for one more hour”, he says, arms keeping you close to him, “i’m not ready to start the day yet.”
and for the next hour, neither of you can find their way back to sleep. instead, the room fills with waves of mundane conversations, laughter and soft kisses, reflecting the simple happiness of knowing you found the right person to spend a lifetime of mornings with.

jeon wonwoo — clash of hearts : a campus romance.
the gentle rustle of pages filled the air as you sat on a bench outside the university, completely engrossed in the world of a captivating book.
the peaceful atmosphere shattered when a football came hurtling towards you, interrupting your serene reading session.
startled, you looked up just in time to see a football hurtling towards you. with lighting-fast reflexes, you dodged the ball, but not before it grazed your shoulder.
with a mix of surprise and irritation, you glanced to see soonyoung, a known troublemaker on campus, grinning sheepishly as he jogged over to retrieve the ball.
you tell him to watch where he's kicking, your voice laced with annoyance.
soonyoung's grin faltered for a moment as he mumbled an apology, but before he could say anything else, you grabbed the football and hurled it back in his direction.
unfortunately for soonyoung, your aim was spot on, and the ball smacked him right in the face with a satisfying thud.
muttering a curse under your breath, you got up, leaving the scene.
little did you know, your actions hadn't gone unnoticed. wonwoo, soonyoung's best friend and a fellow student at the university, had witnessed the entire exchange from across the campus grounds.
wonwoo couldn't help but chuckle at the scene unfolding before him, finding amusement in soonyoung's misfortune.
"nice aim, y/n. you should consider joining the team," minghao, says walking behind.
you turn around to shot him a glare, not amused by his jest, retorting something about soonyoung needing to keep his balls to himself.
"soonyoung's always been a bit...clumsy," minghao admitted, still grinning. "but hey, at least you showed him who's boss,"
you rolled your eyes, not in the mood for banter, "yeah, well, he better watch himself next time,"
minghao's grin faded as he noticed your annoyance, "hey, lighten up, y/n. it was just a harmless accident,"
"harmless for you, maybe," you muttered.
sighing, minghao decided to change the subject, "where are you off to anyways?"
"library," you replied curtly, still feeling the remnants of irritation from the earlier encounter.
as fate would have it, you found yourself in the university library once again, seeking solace among the rows of books.
lost in the fragrance of a newly discovered novel, you closed your eyes and took a deep breath, savoring the scent of ink and paper.
unbeknownst to you, wonwoo had silently approached, finding amusement in your moment of bliss.
with mischief in his mind, wonwoo stealthily snapped a picture of you, capturing the serene expression on your face as you indulged in the aroma of the book.
chuckling to himself, he quickly saved the photo before you could notice his presence.
however, his laughter was short-lived when you suddenly opened your eyes, catching him in the act.
demandingly yet quietly, you urged that he deletes the photo immediately, but wonwoo simply shrugged, refusing to comply with your request.
"why should I delete it? it's not like it's a big deal," wonwoo argued, his tone nonchalant as he scrolled through his phone.
as you walked towards wonwoo, frustration bubbling beneath the surface, he raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by your determination.
"seriously, wonwoo? you think this is funny?" you snapped, your voice sharp with irritation, yet quiet for the sake of keeping silence in the library.
wonwoo's smirk only widened in response. "i have to admit, it's not every day i get caught taking clandestine pictures in the library," he admitted, teasingly.
"well, congratulations, you've managed to turn me into your enemy," you declared, your tone resolute.
"enemy seems a bit harsh, don't you think?" he countered, his voice taking on a more serious tone.
you scoffed, incredulous at his attempt to downplay the situation, "you refuse to delete the picture, and you have the nerve to call me harsh?" you retorted, your frustration reaching its peak.
for a moment, silence hung between you, tension crackling in the air. then, wonwoo relented, his demeanor softening, "okay, okay, i'll delete the picture," he conceded.
relief flooded through you, but your sense of victory was short-lived. "now, about that apology to soonyoung..." wonwoo trailed off, a mischievous glint in his eye.
you groaned in exasperation, realizing that you had walked right into his trap.
"i'm not apologizing to him,"
"imagine the likes and comments you'd get," wonwoo mused, a smirk playing on his lips as he glanced at the photo on his phone.
you narrowed your eyes at him, your frustration boiling over. "you wouldn't dare," you warned, your voice laced with a mixture of anger and disbelief.
wonwoo's smirk only widened at your reaction. "oh, i wouldn't?" he challenged, raising an eyebrow, "you forget, y/n, i have a reputation for being unpredictable,"
your heart sank at his words, realizing that you were at his mercy, "you wouldn't stoop that low," you argued, hoping to appeal to his sense of decency.
but wonwoo remained unfazed, his expression unreadable as he studied you. "wouldn't i?" he countered, his tone teasing yet oddly serious.
feeling a sense of defeat wash over you, you clenched your fists, unsure of how to proceed. "what do you want from me, wonwoo?" you demanded, your voice tinged with frustration and desperation.
a flicker of something unreadable passed through wonwoo's eyes before he sighed, relenting slightly, "all i want is for you to apologise to soonyoung. simple as that,"
"fine," you muttered through gritted teeth, your pride begrudgingly giving in to wonwoo's demand.
as wonwoo grasped your arm, his grip sending a jolt of surprise through you, he led you towards the football ground. the players, sensing the tension, halted their game, their attention now fixated on the unfolding scene.
minghao, who had been sitting on the bench nearby, stood up and walked briskly towards you, his expression a mix of concern and curiosity.
wonwoo's actions were met with a mixture of surprise and apprehension. he lightly shoved you towards soonyoung, his gaze unwavering as he commanded, "say it,"
feeling the weight of the moment, you looked down, your voice barely a whisper as you offered your apology.
"huh? couldn't hear ya," soonyoung teased, a smirk playing on his lips.
summoning your courage, you raised your voice, your words echoing across the silent field. "i said i'm sorry!" the force behind your words made both soonyoung and wonwoo flinch, the impact of your apology reverberating in the air.
exhaling deeply, you took a moment to gather yourself before speaking again, this time in a normal and quieter tone. "i apologize," you said, the words carrying half sincerity.
soonyoung's expression softened at your apology, "i forgive you," he replied, his tone warmer and more forgiving than before as he pats you on the head.
you turned towards wonwoo, demanding that he deletes the picture now that you've apologized.
"nope!" he says, a mischievous gleam in his eyes as he starts running away from you, making you chase behind him.
minghao caught up to soonyoung as they watched you and wonwoo disappear into the distance, the sounds of your footsteps echoing across the football ground.
"you know," minghao began, "i've never seen y/n apologize before,"
soonyoung glanced at minghao, a puzzled expression on his face, "really?" he replied, "why's that?"
minghao shrugged, his gaze following the path you had taken. "y/n's not one to easily admit fault," he explained, a hint of admiration in his voice, "so consider yourself lucky that you got to hear her say sorry,"
as you navigate through campus, your disdain for wonwoo consumes your thoughts, overshadowing everything else.
every laugh shared with friends, every moment of joy, is tainted by the looming presence of your enemy.
in contrast, minghao remains a steadfast source of support. he's always there for your complaints and 'wonwoo this' and 'wonwoo that'.
"are you sure about this, y/n? wonwoo can be unpredictable, and i don't want you getting into more trouble,"
you wave off his concern with a dismissive gesture, "oh, i'm serious alright. it's time wonwoo learned that he can't mess with me without consequences,"
as wonwoo walks with soonyoung across the campus, his mind preoccupied with thoughts of the upcoming exams, he notices two girls approaching him.
with a puzzled expression, he watches as they stop in front of him, their faces beaming with mischievous grins.
"all the best, wonwoo!" one of the girls chirps, her voice filled with playful enthusiasm.
"we're cheering for you!" the other girl adds, a hint of laughter in her tone.
wonwoo's confusion deepens as he exchanges a perplexed glance with soonyoung, who shrugs in response. before he can say anything, the girls burst into giggles and walk away, leaving wonwoo to ponder their cryptic words.
as he continues walking with soonyoung, wonwoo's curiosity gets the better of him, and he veers off course to investigate a nearby noticeboard.
his eyes widen in surprise as he reads the announcement about the boxing match scheduled for saturday, featuring none other than himself and kim mingyu.

realization dawns on wonwoo as the pieces of the puzzle fall into place. the girls' mysterious well-wishes suddenly make sense. and wonwoo knows damn well who's responsible for this.
"so that's was why those girls wished you," soonyoung says, "well? what are you gonna do now?"
"i can't believe it..." wonwoo trails, walking closer to the notice board in disbelief, "they forgot to add another 'o' in my name!"
the day of the highly anticipated boxing match had finally arrived. saturday dawned with a crisp clarity, the air buzzing with excitement and tension as students eagerly made their way to the university gymnasium.
suddenly, amidst the chaos of the match, mingyu grabbed the microphone, his voice booming over the crowd. "if i win," he declared, his words sending a ripple of shock through the spectators, "wonwoo will kneel down and beg for forgiveness from my sister, y/n,"
wonwoo snatched the microphone from mingyu's grasp, "and if i win," he announced, his voice cutting through the tension like a knife, "i'll get to kiss kim y/n. on the lips,"
the crowd gasped at wonwoo's bold declaration, their murmurs filling the gymnasium with a sense of anticipation. your eyes widened, your heart pounding in your chest as you processed wonwoo's words.
as the match between wonwoo and mingyu raged on, tensions reached a boiling point. with each passing round, mingyu's aggressive tactics began to wear wonwoo down, leaving him struggling to keep up.
frustration boiled within wonwoo as mingyu taunted and jeered, his relentless assault taking its toll on wonwoo's morale.
in a moment of sheer desperation, mingyu spat on wonwoo, a vile gesture intended to provoke.
anger flashed in wonwoo's eyes as he wiped the spit from his face, his resolve hardening with each passing second.
seeing his friend in distress, soonyoung knew he had to act fast. with a quick glance around the arena, his eyes landed on a nearby concession stand, where a frying pan sat innocently among the cooking utensils.
without hesitation, soonyoung sprang into action, darting towards the stand and snatching the frying pan.
as the match continued to unfold, soonyoung discreetly slid the frying pan into the ring, his heart pounding with anticipation.
with a knowing look exchanged between them, wonwoo seized the opportunity, grabbing the frying pan and wielding it with newfound determination.
with a swift, calculated swing, wonwoo struck mingyu on the head, the impact resonating through the arena with a dull thud.
the crowd erupted into a frenzy of cheers and applause as mingyu stumbled backwards, dazed and disoriented.
the referee, shocked by the unexpected turn of events, hesitated for a moment before declaring wonwoo the victor of the match.
as wonwoo stood in the center of the ring, frying pan in hand, a sense of triumph washed over him.
you stood there, your heart racing as you met wonwoo's gaze, unsure of what to say or do. the tension in the air was palpable, each moment stretching on as you contemplated your next move.
you grasped minghao's hand, but it didn't changed the fact that — pushing you lightly, soonyoung manages to get you inside the ring where your brother layed in defeat and wonwoo smirks, guesturing for you to come closer.
but you stood there. hesitatant and shy. so wonwoo took matters in his own hands.
wonwoo stepped forward, closing the distance between you with purposeful strides. his gaze bore into yours, a silent question lingering between you as he reached out, his hand trembling ever so slightly.
without a word, wonwoo gently cupped your cheek, his touch sending a shiver down your spine. the air crackled with anticipation, each heartbeat echoing in the silence of the gymnasium.
then, just as you thought he was about to kiss you, wonwoo pulled back slightly, a playful glint in is eyes.
"i guess i'll have to save that kiss for another time," wonwoo teased, his voice low and husky, sending a rush of warmth through you despite your confusion.
with a charismatic grin, he blew exaggerated flying kisses to the girls swooning over him by the ring, earning a chorus of delighted giggles.
after the boxing match and the incident with soonyoung, there was a noticeable shift in the dynamic between you and wonwoo.
at first, it was subtle, hardly noticeable to anyone but the two of you. days turned into weeks, and the tension between you seemed to linger, a palpable presence whenever you were in each other's vicinity.
it was what you would call...awkward.
you froze in disbelief as you stumbled upon the notice board, your eyes narrowing in fury as you took in the sight. there, plastered for all to see, was a picture of you, arms crossed and a warning sign hovering above your head like a dark cloud.
with a scowl, you ripped the offending poster from the notice board, your hands trembling with anger. holding it tightly in your grasp, you stormed towards the campus grounds.
as you walk across the campus grounds, your anger burning hot like a wildfire, you failed to notice the uneven pavement beneath your feet as you and wonwoo walked towards each other. with an unexpected slip, you lost your footing, tumbling forward in a graceless descent.
in a twist of fate, your fall landed you squarely on top of wonwoo, his arms instinctively wrapping around you to soften the impact.
but before either of you could react, your lips collided in a clumsy kiss.
time seemed to stand still as the world around wonwoo faded away, the only sound echoing in his ears being the pounding of his heart.
it was a moment of pure chaos and unexpected intimacy, witnessed by the amused gazes of the nearby football team and minghao, who watched the scene unfold with wide eyes.
"its your fault! you should've watched where you were going!" you exclaimed, your voice tinged with indignation.
wonwoo scoffed, "me? you're the one who practically ran into me! If anyone's to blame, it's you!"
the heated exchange continued, neither of you willing to take responsibility for the accidental kiss, then wonwoo pulls out this move:
"y/n, you should really learn how to shut up," he says before smashing his lips onto yours, once again but this time — with full purpose.
"haah...?" you breathed out after you pulled away.
"damn you!" you yell before gripping your hands on his hair, pulling him closer and smashing your lips against his.
after pulling away, breathless. you both just realised what had happened.
"you...why did you kiss me?" you ask, your voice laced with confusion.
"you're asking me? you're the one who kissed me!"
"you kissed me first!"
"then why'd you kiss me after?"
you and wonwoo, lost in the moment and oblivious to everything, without a word, you both simultaneously lean in, jumping over each other with perfect synchronicity, meeting in an urgent kiss mid-air.
the world around wonwoo fades away as you both savor the fleeting moment of intimacy, your hearts beating in harmony.
meanwhile, minghao and soonyoung can only stare in disbelief, their mouths agape as they witness the unexpected display unfold before them.

without a word, wonwoo gently cupped your cheek, his touch sending a shiver down your spine. the air crackled with anticipation, each heartbeat echoing in the silence of the gymnasium.
then, just as you thought he was about to kiss you, wonwoo pulled back slightly, a playful glint in is eyes.
"then why'd you kiss me after?"
you and wonwoo, lost in the moment and oblivious to everything, without a word, you both simultaneously lean in, jumping over each other with perfect synchronicity, meeting in an urgent kiss mid-air.
the world around wonwoo fades away as you both savor the fleeting moment of intimacy, your hearts beating in harmony.
meanwhile, minghao and soonyoung can only stare in disbelief, their mouths agape as they witness the unexpected display unfold before them.

jeon wonwoo — clash of hearts : a campus romance.
the gentle rustle of pages filled the air as you sat on a bench outside the university, completely engrossed in the world of a captivating book.
the peaceful atmosphere shattered when a football came hurtling towards you, interrupting your serene reading session.
startled, you looked up just in time to see a football hurtling towards you. with lighting-fast reflexes, you dodged the ball, but not before it grazed your shoulder.
with a mix of surprise and irritation, you glanced to see soonyoung, a known troublemaker on campus, grinning sheepishly as he jogged over to retrieve the ball.
you tell him to watch where he's kicking, your voice laced with annoyance.
soonyoung's grin faltered for a moment as he mumbled an apology, but before he could say anything else, you grabbed the football and hurled it back in his direction.
unfortunately for soonyoung, your aim was spot on, and the ball smacked him right in the face with a satisfying thud.
muttering a curse under your breath, you got up, leaving the scene.
little did you know, your actions hadn't gone unnoticed. wonwoo, soonyoung's best friend and a fellow student at the university, had witnessed the entire exchange from across the campus grounds.
wonwoo couldn't help but chuckle at the scene unfolding before him, finding amusement in soonyoung's misfortune.

☆ vernon x gn!reader — fluff, no warnings
☆ in which you come home to a slightly touch-starved vernon
Tumblr media
he’s gonna do it. he can’t hold it in anymore. the thing he promised himself he’d never do because, well… it’s kinda lame. he’s going to grab his phone, unlock it, click on your name and type the dreaded words: “i miss you, when are you coming home?”. he thinks about adding an emoji to make it less desperate, but why would he? he is desperate.
maybe it’s just the exhaustion from his hectic schedule speaking, but tonight he kind of feels an overwhelming urge to hold you. or even worse, to be held by you.
he’s just about to type the final question mark when the familiar sound of your key turning in the lock makes him delete the entire message. saved by the bell. he’s quick to jump on his feet to come and greet you at the door, cheeks plumped with happiness.
“i missed you”, he tells you as you kick off your shoes. it doesn’t feel as weird when he says it out loud.
“aw, i missed you too!”, you answer in a bubbly tone, leaving a kiss on his cheek, “i’m gonna hop in the shower, i won’t be long! pick a movie!”
“wait-”, he says, grabbing your arm before you can get too far to plant a tender kiss on your lips. “that’s more like it.”
and he’s left alone once again, but with the exciting promise that he’ll get about two hours of cuddles before you both go to bed. that is, if neither of you fall asleep during the movie, which is very unlikely.
after about fifteen minutes spent scrolling down your shared netflix watchlist, he finally settles for jurassic world - a rather safe choice - just as you emerge out of the bathroom, still rubbing drops of moisturizer on your forearms.
you slump next to him with a sigh. or rather, onto him.
“love the proximity”, he says, his voice a bit muffled.
you expect him to playfully push you to the side, or maybe try to crush you with his own weight as he’s already done before. but instead, you feel two arms snaking around your waist as he gently lays you down next to him, perfectly spooning you.
“when did you become so smooth?” you ask, eyeing him from a corner of your eyes.
he replies with an air of false modesty that makes you smile even wider. it’s not that it’s rare to come home to such a clingy version of him, but it’s unusual enough to be noticed.
without you even seeing it, he presses play on the remote, making the Universal Studios logo cast blue shadows on your faces.
“i missed you”, he tells you, shoving a pillow under your head to make it rest more comfortably on his arm.
“you told me that already”, you remark, amused, “must have missed me a lot, huh?”
he’s glad you’re facing the tv, that means you don’t have to see the guilty look on his face. but you don’t need to look at him to know that he has, indeed, missed you a lot.
the way his arms are pressing on your skin just a bit tighter than usual, the way his legs are tangled with yours under the blanket, the way he keeps on leaving quiet kisses on the back of your head.
“i missed you a lot too”, you add.
and as the words leave your mouth, you realize that the movie isn’t what your attention should be focused on tonight. so you turn around, ignoring the puzzled look on vernon’s face, and let your head find the most comfortable spot against his chest.
the sound of his heart beating a little faster under your ear lets you know it was a good decision.
holding you just as tight as you’re holding him, vernon has the funny feeling that this is exactly what his body had been craving all day. and so he starts to think that maybe it’s not lame to miss someone, maybe it’s really fucking cool.

choi seungcheol — whimsical night at the carnival.
the location was a chilly night at the carnival where you and your friend decided to hang out. you recognize most people from the campus were here, the place being crowded by them. you were on a call with your friend as you roamed around, searching for her.
"jina, where are you— where? by the balloon shooting game? where is it?" you question more, looking here and there; everywhere till you see someone familiar.
it was your brother. you were confident that it was your brother. even with his back facing you; you were sure that you've seen that jersey on him, "jina, i'll be right back," you say before hanging up and shoving the phone in your pocket.
it was your time. your chance, where you could take revenge. every time your brother sees you, he gives you a tight headlock — you could barely breathe. now its your turn to do something to him.
you walk towards him, rubbing your hands together mischievously as you walk towards him. and when you get enough close—
grope! "how'd that feel!? you always choke me, this is what you deserve! ahahaha!" you say, laughing wickedly while squishing his asscheeks.
and then.
he slowly turns around, making you take your hands back.
its when you realize; it was not your brother.
and what do you do? you scream.
that catches everyone's attention, making them stop on their tracks and watch what's going on.
you had approx 3 seconds to come up with something. so you slap him. and you put your hands to your chest, covering them protectively as you yell again.
"hey isn't that insu's sister?" "Isn't that seungcheol?" "did seungcheol grope her???" and so on were people's conceptions.
seungcheol's eyes widen, mouth open to say something but no words come out.
"...my sister? what— seungcheol?!?" making his way through the crowd along with jina, your brother rushes in front to see. "what's going on?" he questions looking at seungcheol, then at you, "what did this fucker do to you, y/n?"
"he groped her," says someone from the crowd.
"you...you did that knowing she's my sister huh? you're so fucking dead, seungcheol,"
insu says, finding a long and thick baseball bat, he marches towards seungcheol. but before he could swing the bat at him, you quickly hit your own brother on the head with a vase, him collapsing on the ground after the impact.
you shove your brother aside and walk towards seungcheol, "a-are you ok?" you question, caressing his face right where you had slapped him. but as if the crowd had suddenly disappeared, it felt like it was only the two of you as both get lost into each other's eyes.

☆ (perfect bf!)joshua x gn!reader
☆ warnings: none i think! reader is wearing a dress?
Tumblr media
it sounds so cliché you’re not even sure you could say it out loud, but you simply cannot take your eyes off of your boyfriend.
it’s not so much his impeccable outfit (which took him weeks to finally settle on), perfectly combed hair or flawless skin that particularly catch your attention. it’s the ease with which he’s been navigating the crowd, offering bright smiles to everyone, finding exactly the right words to say and to whom, shaking hands when expected, all like he had been part of your family for decades.
“you’re staring”, joshua whispers from a corner of his mouth, his hand still holding yours.
his words make you abruptly snap out of your daydreaming. visibly startled, your eyes widen as you focus back on the wedding toast unfolding in front of your eyes. joshua purses his lips together, cheeks slightly puffed as he stifles a laugh.
still silently as not to disrupt anything, you try to nudge him but his reflexes are too good, and he ends up smoothly grabbing your arm to link it with his. the shadow of amused smiles start to grow on your faces, just as the bride’s mother finishes her speech, setting off claps and cheers throughout the crowd of guests.
your arms still linked together, you decide to follow the few guests who are heading towards the bar, internally praying that no family members will try to start a conversation with either of you; although you’re certain joshua would handle it impeccably.
“that speech was beautiful“, you say, looking at the newlyweds’ table while joshua asks the barista for two refills. “i’m pretty sure i cried at some point.”
“i think we both did”, he admits, his fingers dancing around the strap of your dress, “hey, do you want to go outside? get some fresh air before dessert?”
you take your drink back with a polite smile before grabbing your boyfriend’s hand. “that’s a polite way of saying you need a break from my family”, you tease, leading him to the nearest exit, one that you know leads to a small balcony overlooking the building’s backyard.
the sun has set a couple of hours ago, only leaving the yellowish lights from inside light up joshua’s features. strands of hair delicately brush against his forehead, in a way that’s slightly more sophisticated than when it gets tousled overnight.
sipping his drink with a tipsy smile, he sighs contently, elbows resting on the railing.
“how crazy would it be if i proposed to you right now?”, he asks out of the blue.
you let out a chuckle, refusing to have any over-the-top reaction just like he probably expects you to.
“so crazy” you simply reply before taking another sip, still looking straight ahead.
but the sound of joshua clearing his throat has you suddenly looking to your left. or rather, down to your left where he’s getting down on one knee.
“…shua, what are you doing?” you ask, your voice slightly wavering with uncertainty.
his response is not immediate. instead, he keeps on looking at you, eyelashes fluttering as his smile grows fonder. your palms are getting clammy, suddenly your clothes start to feel a bit too hot, a bit too tight.
“tying my shoes”, he finally speaks up, handing you his glass: “do you mind holding that for me?”
“you’re such an idiot joshua hong”, you scoff, rolling your eyes before flicking his forehead with two fingers.
looking proud of his little prank, he stands back up on his feet to wrap an arm around your waist, pressing a loud kiss on your temple:
“i’ll do it for real one day, don’t worry”, he says without a hint of doubt, “but it’ll be our own day, i’m not stealing someone else’s. you’re too special for that.”
this time, you find yourself unable to suppress your genuine reaction, and a flustered giggle escapes you as he pulls you even closer to him.
you stay like that for a few minutes, sharing silent thoughts about this special day of yours, but also wondering how you’ll manage to actually take your eyes off of him when the time comes.

a story of garden parties
Tumblr media
neighbor!seungcheol x gn!reader
warnings: a vaguely implied mention of alcohol, lots of mentions of food, cheol taking his shirt off *bites lip*
your neighbor’s friends warned you: they’re often around. but that only means seungcheol always has room for one more person, especially if that person happens to be you.
Tumblr media
march 24th, 11:41am
it’s the very last thing on your to-do list. something you only allowed yourself to do after cleaning your entire house and unpacking exactly thirteen full cardboard boxes: changing the nameplate on your mailbox. proudly admiring the way your family name states that this is, indeed, a house that now belongs to you, you feel a great sense of accomplishment rushing through your veins. of course you’re far from being done with moving in, but you have a feeling everything will go easy now that the hardships of paperwork are behind you.
on your right, the sound of footsteps and friendly chatters make you look away from your brand new mailbox. you count not one, not two, not even three people walking towards you, but seven. for a moment you wonder whether your neighborhood is something worthy of touristic visits… but watching these guys closely, you realize they’re all carrying food and drinks of various kinds, therefore eliminating the tourist theory.
you greet the group with a polite smile, and the seven of them utter scattered heys and hellos. only one of them actually speaks up:
“hi! are you the new tenant?”
“i am, yeah! i just moved in today. are you guys… neighbors of mine?”
they’re quick to inform you that none of them is actually living in this neighborhood, but that they’re all headed to your actual neighbor’s house, making the most of the sun to have a little get-together. a barbecue, specifically.
you’ve met your neighbor already, although only through hurried exchanges during your two visits of the place. he seemed like a nice guy, although you couldn’t quite remember right now.
“well, don’t hesitate to come and say hi! my name’s seungkwan, you might see us a lot around here if i’m being honest”, the same guy tells you, and you think they all must be pretty close to invite other people to each other’s houses.
may 20th, 1:30pm
“thanks!” you tell seungcheol as he hands you the drink you’ve been advised to try for months now, a creation straight out of joshua’s mind.
and indeed, you understand what the hype is about from the very first sip. you face translates your satisfaction, and causes seungcheol to crack you a smile.
“i needed that”, you admit, putting the glass down on the kitchen table. through the patio door, you get a perfect view of jeonghan trying his hardest to push mingyu in the pool. “thank you for inviting me by the way, it’s always nice to hang out with you guys.”
this is probably a more acceptable thing to say than the actual truth: that the main reason why you accepted the invitation was seungcheol himself.
“no worries, we like having you around”, he replies, getting started on his own drink. “is everything okay though? you seem a bit tensed.”
well, so much for trying your best not to look like you haven’t spent your entire morning having a breakdown over a multitude of sudden bad news.
you’ve gotten closer to seungcheol lately. the sunny weather brought many occasions for spontaneous conversations in your driveway, a few drinks at each other’s houses when the timing seemed right, and even a couple of parties. in other terms, you’re close enough to tell him when you’re feeling down, but maybe not close enough to always tell him why.
still, he’s always listened to you with a patient and reliable ear, making sure your interactions always felt comfortable for the both of you. but this sense of comfort is precisely the reason why neither of you seem willing to make a move.
you take another sip of your drink before answering: “i’m okay, nothing my beautiful new kitchen lights can’t fix.”
he chuckles, knowing you’re referring to the latest thing he’s done for you around your house. and his cheeks feel unusually hot. “well, feel free to ask if you ever need anything else. i don’t mind at all”, he smiles before walking around the kitchen table, motioning you to follow him outside.
your drink in hand as you step onto his wooden patio, you have to make a conscious effort to look away when he lifts his t-shirt over his head. lying on their deckchairs, minghao and jihoon are sharing knowing looks behind your back.
august 6th, 11:56pm
“am i even doing this right?” you ask, not really knowing whether you’re talking to yourself or not.
two hands come to rest on your shoulders, and you feel cheol leaving a kiss on the back of your head, making you instantly melt. “looks perfect to me”, he answers, looking at the chicken and vegetables sizzling on the grill.
you would take that as a compliment if it had come from anyone else, but since cheol has a tendency to believe that everything you do is perfection, you’re not really sure how much truth is behind those words.
so you pick up a slice of bell pepper with your fork, blow on it and turn around to feed it to him.
“perfect”, he confirms with a content smile, before leaning in to leave a kiss on your cheek.
behind him, you catch sight of seungkwan frowning in disgust: “don’t spread your cheesiness all over our food please. what if it’s contagious?”
reacting much quicker than you, cheol throws a towel that hits him right in the chest, all while simultaneously telling him to start handing around the plates.
“wow, someone doesn’t like to be called cheesy…”, you remark in an amused tone as you bring the first batch of food on the table.
“is it cheesy to say you’re the only one who’s allowed to say it?” he questions and pulls you closer for a kiss, fully knowing the answer to his own question.
sure, you guys might be a bit cheesy, but if you were to come up with an explanation, you’d say it’s just the natural release of months of pent-up affection. but everything feels so right now, and you can’t even remember the last time you felt alone, cheol’s presence and sturdiness being your safety net at every inconvenience in your life.
and as much as seungkwan and the others love to tease you for it, they’ll always cherish your fondness for each other, as long as it keeps on making their best friend the happiest man ever.

yoon jeonghan — start your day with love and cherry tomatoes.
dad!jeonghan ; mom!reader
sunday morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow in the room. while you and jeonghan slept peacefully, ara had already woken up, her energy unfazed by the early hour.
she embraces her bunny plushie once, wishing it a good morning and hushing it, "shhh! let's not wake up ma and papa jus' yet,"
quietly padding into the kitchen, ara retrieved a safety knife and a container of cherry tomatoes from the fridge. with careful precision, she sliced the tomatoes in half, a look of concentration on her face.
as she popped a few tomato halves into her mouth, ara couldn't help but smile at the burst of flavor. satisfied with her snack, she divided the remaining cherry tomatoes into two bowls.
balancing the bowls carefully, ara made her way to your room, a glint in her eyes. placing the bowls on the nightstand, she leaned over to gently shake jeonghan awake.
"papa, wake up," ara whispered, her voice filled with excitement. but jeonghan won't budge. even after ara shook him.
so she walks over to your side, "ma, wake up," she says as finally you stir. "good morning ma," ara wishes.
"good morning sweetheart," you greet her with a yawn, reaching out to pull her on the bed between you and jeonghan.
ara giggles, snuggling close to you under covers, gradually waking jeonghan up as he rubs his eyes and blinks them open, "morning, princess," jeonghan whispers, kissing ara then you on the forehead.
ara smiles widely, standing on the bed between you two as she announces that she had chopped cherry tomatoes by herself.
"you did?" jeonghan questions with a smile.
ara nods exitedly as she points to the bowls on the nightstand. jeonghan reaches out to take the bowls carefully, handing one over to you.
"you did a fantastic job, sweetheart," you praise, popping the cherry tomatoes in your mouth. jeonghan does the same, munching on the fruit as he feeds some to ara as well.
after emptying the bowls, ara offers to place them in the sink, as she takes them from your hands and skips towards the kitchen.
"time flies, doesn't it?" jeonghan says, glancing over to you with a smile.
you nod, "it feels like just yesterday when she was a baby," you say, your voice tinged with nostalgia, "but look at her now. she's growing to be such a wonderful young lady,"
in that moment, amidst the morning sunlight and the aroma of cherry tomatoes, jeonghan couldn't imagine a more perfect way to start the day.

☆ ANNIVERSARY DATES WITH SEVENTEEN
Tumblr media
hyung line version! (scoups -> woozi)
Tumblr media
had a really sunny weekend so please enjoy these sunshine-fueled scenarios!
Tumblr media
— SEUNGCHEOL
turns out your anniversary took place during a vacation together, a week-long holiday near the beach. on the d-day, he refuses to say anything about his plans, no matter how many times you ask, to the point where you end up blindfolded as he leads you to his surprise. when you take the blindfold off, the only thing you can see is a white boat awaiting on the shore. at first you’re scared he might have actually bought the boat, but he ‘only’ rented it for a private dinner. the sun has just started to set and you’re glad to have picked one of your cutest outfits because you just know he’s going to be taking as many pictures of you as he can. you might be admiring the sunset, but he'll be admiring you the whole time.
— JEONGHAN
he truly racked his brain to find the per-fect date idea. on the day, he keeps you guessing with more than vague hints (like “we talked about doing that one day” as if you didn’t talk about literally doing everything together). but he’s confident in his surprise and rightfully so: at first you think it’s just a regular picnic, which would have been fine on its own, but as more people start to gather around you, you realize that a lantern festival is actually taking place here tonight. together, you scribble your wishes and dreams for the future on your lantern. and you love how he’s not even trying to hide what he’s writing: one thing about jeonghan, he’ll never try to conceal anything about his feelings for you.
— JOSHUA
this one has a proud smirk plastered on his face the entire morning, hinting at a surprise. you get in his car around 9am and drive for about twenty minutes until he stops in front of a fancy looking building. “you know how we always talk about moving to a bigger apartment yet never actually visit anything? well i figured today would be the day…”, he tells you excitedly. and it’s only when the realtor meets you on the street that you realize joshua has actually booked a visit. more than one, in fact: throughout the day, you visit four apartments, walking from one to the other hand in hand, already fantasizing about what life is going to look like for the two of you.
— JUN
both having a busy schedule, you recently told jun you missed having a proper dinner together and it’s given him the best idea for your anniversary: a nice dinner together without the practical difficulties of going to a fancy restaurant. when you come back home that evening, you find your place tastefully decorated with various candles, flowers and fairy lights. as for jun, he’s done his hair the way you like it best, dressed in an outfit you love, wearing the same perfume from when you first started dating. with a sheepish smile, he guides you to the balcony where the table is set, revealing the stunning city view from your apartment.
— SOONYOUNG
his plan for today is to make you feel as loved as ever, and that requires day-long dedication, starting with mandatory prince.ss treatment all morning. around 11, he tells you it’s “time to go” although you still have no idea what he’s talking about. but a 45 minutes drive later, you can make out the blueish color of the sea in the horizon. with him by your side, you know it won’t be just any beach day: picnic on the sand, a long walk along the shore spent saying “look, it’s us!” when you see two relatively close rocks, and most of all, soaking up the sun together in the water, all while being that clingy couple who cannot stop swooning over each other.
— WONWOO
this morning, wonwoo wakes up particularly early to cook breakfast for the both of you. you’re already awake by the time he’s done, but he looks so adorable trying to balance the tray while opening the door with his foot that you pretend like you’re still asleep. later, he surprises you with a gift which looks… a bit odd. you didn’t really expect a QR code. but you scan it anyways, and then everything starts to make sense: the QR code brings you to a website, a shelter website more specifically. “are we…”, you start, a huge smile already on your lips. “going on a shelter date to get a cat? absolutely”, he replies, glad you’re enjoying his surprise as much as he hoped.
— JIHOON
to him, this is the perfect day to show how much your relationship means to him, because he fears you might not know it well enough (you do). so he’s got a little something prepared… the first part of his plan is to fake an apology: “i’m really sorry, i completely forgot…”. second part is to say he’ll take you to movies another day, which you accept, still half-upset. and finally, last part is to welcome you home on the d-day, takeout ready on the table but most importantly, with a homemade outdoor cinema right in your backyard. thick mattresses, fluffy pillows and a large white screen facing a brand-new projector, he went all out to make sure you feel as cherished as he always does.

choi seungcheol — paws for love : a cozy couch chronicle.
as you're lounging on the couch, binge-watching your favorite tv show, seungcheol strolls into the room with kkuma trotting at his heels. kkuma immediately jumps onto the couch, plopping herself on your lap her tail wagging excitedly
seungcheol quirks an eyebrow, pretending to pout. "kkuma-ya, what about me? am i chopped liver?"
you chuckle, scratching kkuma behind the ears. "looks like you've got some competition, cheol. kkuma knows who the real mvp is around here,"
seungcheol lets out a mock gasp, clutching his heart dramatically. "betrayed by my own dog! what kind of world is this?"
you shoot him a playful grin. "don't worry, cheol. there's plenty of love to go around," you wink at him, earning a playful shove in return.
seungcheol leans in closer, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "you know, i think kkuma's been spending a little too much time with you lately. i might have to start a jealousy training program,"
you laugh, swatting him lightly on the arm. "oh, please. like you could ever be jealous of little old me."
seungcheol wraps an arm around your shoulders, pulling you close. "hey, i'm only human. and besides, who wouldn't be jealous of someone as charming as you?"
you roll your eyes, but the smile on your face betrays your amusement. "flattery will get you nowhere, mister,"
the three of you settle back into your cozy cocoon on the couch, the playful banter filling the air with warmth and laughter.
after all, in a house filled with love and laughter, there's always room for one more — even if that someone happens to have four legs and a wagging tail.

yoon jeonghan — a journey beyond platform 9¾.
dad!jeonghan ; mom!reader
the sky hung heavy with clouds as, jeonghan, you and ara navigated through the bustling crowd at king's cross station.
the air was cool and crisp, a stark contrast to the warmth of excitement radiating from ara.
approaching the barrier between platforms nine and ten, you exchanged a glance with jeonghan. gripping ara's hands tightly, you led the way with a sense of purpose.
as the three of you neared the solid brick wall, ara's enthusiasm waned, replaced by a flicker of nervousness. her grip on the trolley tightened, knuckles turning white as uncertainty clouded her features.
sensing ara's hesitation, you knelt down beside her, offering a reassuring smile. your voice a soothing balm against her nerves. "just keep pushing the trolley straight ahead, and the magic will take care of the rest,"
jeonghan crouched beside you, his expression warm and encouraging. "you've got this," he added, "just trust in yourself hmn?"
ara's eyes flicked between you and jeonghan, a mixture of uncertainty and determination in her gaze. "but what if i mess it up?" she asked, her voice tinged with worry.
you reached out, gently cupping ara's face in your hands. "you won't mess it up, ara," you said firmly, meeting her gaze with unwavering reassurance. "you're brave. you're capable. and you're destined for greatness. just believe in yourself,"
jeonghan placed a hand on ara's shoulder, his touch a comforting presence. "and remember, ara," he said softly, his voice filled with paternal pride, "even if you stumble along the way, we'll be right here to catch you, sweetheart."
ara took a deep breath, drawing strength from your words and the unwavering support of her parents.
with newfound resolve, she squared her shoulders and took a tentative step forward, the trolley rattling against the cobblestones beneath her feet.
the world seemed to blur around her as ara pushed the trolley with increasing speed, her heart pounding in her chest. the rush of wind against her face was cool.
and then, just as suddenly as it had begun, the resistance vanished, replaced by the sensation of cool air and the sound of distant chatter.
ara's eyes widened in wonder as she found herself standing on platform 9¾, the hogwarts express looming before her in all its splendor.
a smile of triumph spread across ara's face as she turned to you and her father, her nerves now replaced by a newfound sense of confidence. "i did it!" she exclaimed, her voice ringing with pride.
she knew deep down that she was meant for greatness, just like her parents, each embodying different traits that she admired and aspired to embody herself;
she wanted to be like her dad — a cunning, determined yet sweet slytherin, and like you — brave, wise, loyal and ambitious.
as the train's departure drew near, ara's heart pounded with anticipation. with a deep breath, she gathered her courage and stepped onto the train, disappearing into the bustling crowd of students.
but just as the final call echoed through the platform, ara halted. a surge of emotion washed over her, and she turned back, running towards you and jeonghan with urgency in her steps.
throwing her arms around both of you in a tight embrace, ara's voice trembled with emotion. "i'll miss you, ma, papa," she whispered.
you and jeonghan held ara close, returning her embrace with equal affection. "we'll miss you too, sweetheart," you murmured.
jeonghan pressed a kiss to ara's forehead, his voice gentle but resolute. "take care of yourself," he said softly. "and remember, no matter where you go, our love will always be with you."
with one final squeeze, ara reluctantly released her hold, wiping away a stray tear as she turned to board the train once more. as the doors closed behind her, a mixture of pride and sadness washed over you and jeonghan.
jeonghan holds you close by wrapping an arm around your waist as you both watch the train disappear to hogwarts.

⭐︎ from repairing a sink to love confessions on the kitchen floor
dino x gn!reader — domestic fluff!
9pm is right around the corner, and you know for a fact that your boyfriend is far from being done with repairing the leak under your kitchen sink. but of course he won’t accept defeat, which is why you resorted to having dinner on the floor, sat next to him to keep him company.
“you really should go lie down on the couch” chan tells you from beneath the sink, his voice muffled and punctuated by the clinks of his tools. “this isn’t good for your back.”
he’s not wrong, this position is definitely not the comfiest even though you managed to rest against a piece of furniture. but the view isn’t so bad here, you think to yourself, contently watching his arms flex as he twists and tightens metal pieces here and there.
“but if i leave who’s going to feed you those baby tomatoes?” you ask, looking at the half-eaten bowl in front of you.
putting his tools down, he emerges from under the sink with a contented sigh, stretching his limbs as he sits upright. “you’re such a simp” he chuckles, yet still gladly opens his mouth for you to throw yet another tomato inside.
with an exaggerated scoff, you put a hand over your heart in mock offense: “excuse me? says the biggest simp ever?”
the thing is, you don’t even mind being called a simp; you’re lucid enough to know that it’s only the truth. similarly, chan doesn’t mind it either, but it’s just so much more entertaining to deny and act like it offends him.
“if there’s a simp in this room it’s definitely you. and allow me to tell you why…” you tell him as he returns to the small confined space below your countertop.
you don’t even have to make an effort to gather your thoughts, countless examples just flow naturally into your brain: “first of all, you always carry me on your back when we’re walking back home from a party. you kiss me goodbye every morning even when i’m still asleep. you have a picture of me in your wallet, i’m your phone and ipad wallpaper. also, you keep a secret box on your side of the closet where you put all the receipts from our dates…”
a few seconds of silence follow your words.
when you lean to your side to finally catch a glimpse of your quiet boyfriend, it turns out he’s looking right back at you, a surprised expression painted on his face: “i didn’t know you knew about the box.”
suddenly, he gets the funny sensation that you’re definitely going to win this round.
“i know many things” you affirm, a satisfied smile on your lips as you keep going: “i know that you always keep one of my doodles in your phone case. i know that you bought duplicates of my skincare products to keep in your car as an emergency kit. and i also may or may not have heard you talk to seungkwan about me…”
this time, it’s a loud bang that comes to punctuate your sentence. but before you can even start to worry, chan yells a reassuring “i’m okay!” before getting out of there once again, “just dropped my tool, that’s all. but now let’s circle back to what you just said…”
with a chuckle, you notice a slight embarrassment spreading on his face, his cheeks turning a familiar shade of pink.
your relationship has never been a secret, so it wasn’t a surprise to know that he likely spoke about you to the other members. however, you hadn’t truly considered the nature of those conversations until a few months ago, when you had sort of eavesdropped on a discussion.
“don’t be embarrassed” you reassure him, a playful spark in your eyes: “it was nice to hear you describe us as a “perfect match” and feeling like “a married couple already, but in the best possible way”.
at this point, his surrender is palpable. “okay, you win. maybe i am a simp,” he concedes, a mixture of defeat and self-consciousness coloring his voice. his shoulders sag slightly, but his gaze is still full of affection. “i can’t deny it anymore. just like i can’t deny that I’m not a handyman. i actually have no idea if I’m fixing this thing or just making it worse.”
“i think it’s time to leave the plumbing to the experts,” you tease, taking the screwdriver out of his hands, “let’s bail on this floor and go cuddle on the couch; i’ll order some proper food.”
with just those words, he flashes you a bright smile, one that you know so well you could sketch it from memory. as he rises to his feet, he looks at you earnestly: “i meant what i said to seungkwan, you know,” he confesses, his voice softer than usual.
you take a brief moment to let his words and his sincerity sink in: “i know, baby,” you reply, your own voice matching his softness as you grab his hand to get up. “and that’s exactly how i feel too.”
his smile grows even bigger, relieved to see that you not only understand the depth of his love for you, but reflect it back to him as well. it’s all he’s ever hoped for, really — to find someone he could trust implicitly, someone he could pour all his love into, knowing it would be returned with the same intensity.
“we really are made for each other,” he states, giving you a proud nod as he pulls you close, arms wrapped around your waist.
“yeah, look at us. in love, both clueless about fixing that sink. perfect match.”
with a heartfelt laugh, chan gently rests his hand on your neck, pulling you closer for a kiss; the kind that lingers for a few more seconds than what you expected. just enough time for the both of you to think about how lucky you are to have found each other in this lifetime.
