here r noodles original concepts... fyi i now deeply regret not doing the long skirt but we live and we learn or whatever. she wasn't really inspired by much? i just looked up 2000s emo mallgoth shit on pinterest and gave her murdoc bangs

murdoc... was easy... i kinda just wanted him to look annoying. he definitely looks like a thirteen year old beats him up for fun. also i think one piece live action was new when i made this and i was hyped up on the sanji sauce.

STUART. went through a lot of different vibes. i think it was bobo who helped me settle on the chill stoner look... i think i got the ponytail from someone else but i cant remember who... and the beanie came naturally after that

looked back and i cannot for the life of me find any earlier russel drafts so yeah i think i just did that. it was based off this pic of him being depressed post phase 1 tho bc hes also depressed in strayz 👍

also i gave him the black eyes bc he wasn't possessed but pupils looked wrong on him... idk he got them in the war or something

This is my favourite gorillaz au.... I was wondering how each member treats Murdocs disability... do they see it as one or more of an annoyance?

russel absolutely sees it as the disability it is. he doesn't say much, because he knows it would just annoy murdoc, but he does little things (like carry his bass for him) to help when he can.

stuart honestly just ignores it. actually, he might have forgotten.

noodle's more complicated. she feels slightly guilty for causing it, but would never admit that to anyone, including herself. she mostly ignores it, but can get frustrated when it leads to him messing up his playing.

murdoc... murdoc goes back and forth between hating himself and hating noodle

russel is mostly just worried about the others, and sort of quietly trying to learn more about them. he supports them and helps out when he can, but he's really just not the sort of person who really enjoys long-term company.
