TGGTVAV Week 2021?

So I was talking to the discord about this but I would love to get more of the fandom involved if possible, so TGGTVAV fandom, how do we feel about a prompt week sometime this summer? (Summer so more people have time at their expense) Earlier in 2020 someone tried to organize one but it didn’t really take off so I would love to organize something like that for 2021! Just ya know,,,,reblog or interact with this post if that’s something that would interest you! I’d be happy to answer any questions!

I wanted to do more but I’m tired and it’s 6am so

There were a fair many things Monty hadn’t accounted for when he imagined being with Percy. For instance, the goddamn heart attack he had every day when he got a front row seat to disheveled morning Percy. He’d thought it was bad when he was just pining for an impossible dream, but now it was real and he knew that any second now Percy’s eyes would flutter open and he’d smile slow and sweet like syrup. Then he’d do something dramatic like stretch and make an obscene noise, and the worst part was, he wouldn’t even realize he was doing it.

Upon further reflection, the worst part was actually that he had Percy here and beautiful before him and there wasn’t a bloody thing he could do about it because he had to get ready for work. Being independent was a pain in the ass sometimes.

For now, though, he still had some time, so he could stay for a bit longer and settle into Percy’s arms. He was barely asleep when he felt more than heard Percy chuckle against his hair.

“I know you’re not really asleep, darling.”

Monty groaned. “But if I’m asleep, I can pretend it’s still nighttime and then I don’t have to go to work and leave you.”

Percy pressed a kiss to his hair. “I know. But the sooner you go, the sooner you’ll get back.”

Monty begrudingly sat up as Percy stretched dramatically, just as Monty knew he’d do. Slowly, a grin settled over Percy’s face. “Is that my shirt?”

Monty winked before standing up. “Maybe.”

Percy made a noise that sounded somewhat like a squawk. Percy was taller than Monty, but not by enough to make Monty wearing just his shirt look anything less than indecent. He recovered quickly though, shaking his head. “You’re a menace.”

“I know,” Monty said, reluctantly pulling on trousers. “You love me for it.”

“I do,” Percy said, so matter of factly that it made Monty’s heart stutter.

“Now who’s the menace?” he grumbled after a moment.

Percy laughed. “Only because it’s so rare to see you speechless.”

He finished getting ready and they stood at the doorway, quick goodbye kiss turning into deeper kisses before they pulled away, foreheads resting together.

“Hurry home,” Percy urged him.

“I shall run home to you,” Monty said, then paused. “Well, maybe not run. A lively skip.”

Percy chuckled and kissed him again. If this was the sendoff he got, Monty couldn’t wait for the welcome home.

Felicity stepped off the boat, wrapping her shawl around her as the cold seeped into her bones. WInter was approaching fast and she hoped she wasn’t the first one home so that the fire was already going when she arrived. As she neared the little flat they’d managed to scrape enough together for, she heard light laughter and knew it would be warm when she made her way inside.

Upon entering, she saw Percy and Monty off to the side of the room, unaware of her entrance. They looked much the same as they always had, entirely wrapped up in each other. And yet, the knowledge of the true nature of their relationship made it feel different.

Right now, Percy was reaching out to tuck a stray lock of hair behind Monty’s good ear and her brother ducked his head, looking…shy. She had never seen him look like that, so unsure and surprised at the affection of another person. He turned his head to kiss Percy’s thumb and she had to turn away, feeling like she was intruding.

The notion of their relationship being anything but one of Monty’s whims was still difficult for her to grasp, but then, most of courting was out of her purview. And anything that made her brother smile like that honestly couldn’t be all bad.

“Feli! Wear a bell or something so we know you’re there! Lord!”

She rolled her eyes. “It’s not my fault you were too engaged to hear the door open.”

Monty gaped, but Percy put a placating hand on his arm. “Our apologies, Felicity.”

She nodded and stoked the fire. Curious indeed.

The next morning, as they headed off to work, Felicity stopped Percy before he turned. He looked at her pensively. “Felicity, I’m sorry about yesterday-”

She held her hand up. “It’s alright. While I don’t pretend to completely understand, I can tell you make each other happy and I’m in no position to judge.”

Percy continued cautiously, “That means a great deal. Thank you.”

She nodded. “I know Monty’s a git sometimes, but I have never seen him serious about anything in his life but you. And I hope you keep that in mind, as well as the fact that I can be righteously irritating when I have a mind to be.”

“Your comments are…noted. I will certainly do my best to make him happy.”

Felicity nodded curtly and headed away, feeling she had done her duty.

“My sister defended my honor?”

Percy nodded. “I’m surprised she didn’t promise to rain hellfire upon me if I hurt you.”

“As though you would.”

Percy brushed his cheek, reveling in the way Monty leaned into the touch. “We’ve both done our fair share of hurting. But those days are over, my love.”

Monty grinned. “Nothing but happiness, darling, til death do us part?”

Percy felt his heart skip and blushed. “That sounds divine.”

Hello! I recently posted a survey asking the tggtvav fandom what y’all would prefer for our first ever fandom-wide event and “prompt week” won by a fair margin, so here we go. I based this on the few fandom weeks I’ve seen and participated in over the years.
