June’s Patreon patterns just dropped! It’s $3 to get one or more patterns dropped straight in your inbox each month. Only $15 to get access to my whole Patreon library, which is getting pretty big at this point. Join us!
This time around there’s one cross stitch pattern as well as my very first blackwork pattern! These will go up in my Etsy shop in roughly two weeks (or whenever I remember) so favorite my shop to be notified when new things appear.
About 1 hour of tatting practice has produced a weird looking ring. It's a start! Since I ordered the thread for it, I'm thinking of crocheting some lace too.
I can’t draw very well and hated that I couldn’t draw my DnD character, a tabaxi cleric named Merry Thing, but then I remembered I’m pretty good with a needle and thread so I made her
All made by hand, hand embroidered details, and I even crocheted the lace trim on her shift!
Not really an update but because I'm weak for a sale I bought 3 giant Caron cakes (Red Heart for scale) and I'm desperately trying to convince myself to finish the granny square blanket first
Today I found out that yarners think crocheting socks is subversive and controversial and I just…on one hand, why the fuck not, I guess yarners are allowed to have their controversies, but on the other, how much time do you have in your FUCKIN DAY??
Real pictures at last! It was a lot of fun to make these. I'm still not too sure about the Beeg Boi but he's okay I guess. He's weighted at the bottom with a plastic bag full of rice so he's not the squishiest but at least he doesn't fall over anymore.
Yarn used:
Red Heart Super Saver in (maybe?) Gold
Red Heart Super Saver in Light Sage
I'm actually not 100% sure on the colors, because they were both in my stash without labels. Light Sage I'm fairly sure of, but the gold... It's some sort of orange-ish yellow, but it's not orange enough to be Pumpkin, I don't think.
The pumpkin pattern can be found at this YouTube video: https://youtu.be/8kBSmcIcPM0
I found it pretty easy to follow! The hardest part in my opinion is crocheting into the back bumps for the first row, and then the stem is a little odd if you're not used to making i-cord. Other than that, not bad! I stuffed the tiny pumpkin with yarn scraps from my blanket project, and I stuffed Beeg Boi with fluff from a Wal-Mart pillow.
