This year the theme for our first day at Afropunk was ‘Steampunk with a Gothic Twist’. Afropunk is one of the few times a year that we get to be around such a large group of open-minded people of all colors. I love that I get to celebrate being African American, skinny, gay, and fashion forward. Afropunk also makes us feel like the shining stars we all already are.
