There are so many underrepresented conditions with characters in this fandom. 

Like, give me Dorcas with vitiligo, who was taught that it wasn’t pretty from a young age and tries to cover with makeup, leading her to wear long sleeves and pants till she feels confident, once she’s found people who love her no matter what.

Barty with autism. He’s not good at social cues, and he always carries around a pair of noise-canceling headphones in case things get loud, so he doesn’t get overwhelmed.

James with eczema. I actually have this condition, and I feel like he would own it, but feel a bit insecure on the inside. He would do horrible in hot weather, and Sirius, Remus and Peter have learned to just gently lay a hand on his arm when he goes to itch, and they just kinda parent him whenever his eczema gets irritated.

Marlene with bulimia [ED]. She binge eats, then exercises excessively, while not eating any more. However, as she normally sits next to Lily and Mary during meals, they’ve begun to take notice and slowly coaxed her into trying to regulate her eating. 

Sirius who gets panic attacks due to his upbringing, flashing back, especially the year he runs away from home. It’s how James, Remus, and Peter know how to deal with them.

Peter who has self harm episodes. His parents are emotionally abusive, and he channels it into harming himself, even though he knows it’s wrong. 

Evan with acne scars. People try and make they’re characters look perfect and wonderful and handsome, but you don’t consider that imperfections are what make things perfect.  Without flaws, there are no good things.

Remus who has increased risk to depression and anxiety due to being born prematurely. It’s hard for him combined with his lycanthropy.

Pandora with diabetes who has to walk with a cane. People mainly write Remus to have stability issues; due to his condition, but ignore other characters. Her friends remember when to remind her to change her patch, and always have a one on them. If anyone even tries to make fun of her, Evan will most likely knock them out. [Pandora secretly finds him hilarious when he gets big-brotherly.]

Mary with OCD. She cleans the dorm room every day, even folding others’ clothes and making their beds. Her dorm mates have gotten used to it, and never disrupt her.

Lily who has phobias of so many things, it’s hard for her to do anything. As a child, even going outside was hard. Her parents only tolerated it till she was about five years old. Her father blew up and locked her in the back garden, meaning to leave her overnight. Petunia came down late, though, and opened the door for her. Her mother never contributed, but she let it happen. It’s why Lily tries to pretend she isn’t afraid.

Shoutout to all my fellow ppl who see themselves as being simultaneously a boy and a girl. People who often wear clothes traditionally associated with their agab, or who don’t feel extreme dysphoria towards their body. People whose gender issues stem from within, and from knowing that they can’t just metamorphosise on a whim. People who’re a multiplicity in of themselves. People who’ve never known a life of gender singularity. People who’ve always been this way, people who’ve never known different. People who live exactly how they are, as confusing and conflicting as it may be sometimes. People whose friends and family would be beyond shocked and surprised if they told them they weren’t cis. People who love being this way. People who love having their own unique version of the masculine and feminine experiences, who use contradictory sets of pronouns. People who don’t really know if they can call themselves trans, but definitely aren’t cis, and altogether definitely don’t really care. People who are boys and girls and men and women and both and neither all at the same time. I love you. We’re the coolest. <3

Headcanon 7

Percy Weasley self-harmed during his final years at Hogwarts and relapsed for a few months after the battle, with the memory of Fred dying in front of him and the guilt of not being able to save him and feeling that he had killed him.

Oliver Wood did everything at all times for Percy to recover.
