*awkwardly shuffles in* Hey guys! It’s been a long time since I last posted here 😅 *brushes the dust away* Is anyone alive over here anymore?

What started as a break for my exams and to get my grades back on track turned out to be much more.

There’s a lot of words beneath the cut, so the TLDR is I’ve started a new Genshin writing account called @celestianstarwrites ! If you need me or want to chat, you can find me over there as I probably won’t log into this account very often.

Now *twiddles thumbs* where do I begin? My exams went well! I managed to pull my grades up to straight Bs before I finished college! But all that studying resulted in a big Genshin slump… one that lasted a year.

The last time I properly logged in to Genshin was on Xiao’s first rerun banner. As soon as I pulled him and dumped all the artifacts, talent upgrade materials, crowns, jade spear, etc etc on him I logged out and didn’t come back until the Wanderer’s banner. Even then, I logged in, spent all my 15K primos on him (damn you Qiqi), and then didn’t come back for another few months.

Now I’m properly back and fully obsessed with Genshin again, and so the urge to write fanfics has returned too XD

When I came back to this account, I had a tough decision to make: to continue posting my works on here, or to make a new account entirely. As I’ve been working on my own personal writing projects and grown as a writer, my writing style has changed a lot since I posted the works on this account. I find a lot of them to be very cringy and bad now because I’ve learnt a lot in my time away.

That’s why I’ve decided to make the new account @celestianstarwrites ! It will be a fresh new start where I can hopefully grow even more as a writer! I probably won’t log into this account too much after posting this, so if you need me or want to talk, you can find me over there!

Scaramouche (Kunikuzushi)

He is of a summer night air, warm, humid, still, and serene, perhaps too serene in fact void of songs and winds from feathery friends like a lingering pressure caresses upon one’s neck.

He is a lull, a calm before the storm luring one into tranquil slumber unwittingly, yet threaten to tear the very fiber of one’s being into shreds at moment breeze..

He is of the glittering archipelago dawn enrapture you in his delicate arms a pocket dimension, a paradise lost , a heaven that was never meant to be.

He is of a fair porcelain doll, iris of violet blue, fathom deep, electrifying a beauty ethereal, otherworldly a creature surely made by a celestial deity

Now with no strings attached, and no fate to hold him back, he roams the land as he pleases, laughing - “masks? interesting, entertaining! perhaps… i should become one of them.” ———- *For @hqrbinger and all her wonderful existence

Awwww it’s a bummer that you are going on hiatus I always look forward to, and really enjoy your writing, but college is more important. I wish you all the best and await for your return.

HIATUS

★ I'm deciding to go on a decently long break for several reasons:

★ I have 5 months left of college and, currently, I'm failing. I need to take the time to actually focus on learning and boost my grades back up because I was predicted, at the end of the last school year, to get straight As for my actual exams which isn't going to happen anymore T-T

★ I feel like I've fallen out of love with Genshin. The only thing I enjoy doing is rolling for characters and now that I've gotten Xiao, who I've been saving up for since the end of June, even that doesn't interest me. The events feel like iterations of each other and quests just feel like chores. The repetition of doing daily coms, spending resin, and then logging out with nothing else to do just ruined it for me.

★ I still love the characters, don't get me wrong! Kaeya, Xiao, and Beidou will forever remain my comfort characters :))

★ The last reason is that, even with nearly 1.2k followers, the majority of my fics barely reach 100 notes. Now, I know Tumblr is a dying app with a writing community that is shrinking, but when I first created this blog back in April, I used to get a lot more. I don't even get many interactions outside of fics. I have one frequent anon (🎶 anon, you're an amazing human being, thank you for being here :D ) and a few mutuals (love you guys ♡), and I'm really grateful for you. It's just I little disheartening, I suppose. I started this blog to write, not to get interactions, but it still factors into my motivation.

★ So! In maybe a few months or so, I'm hoping to come back with a better mindset and better grades. I'm sorry to the last request I have from my winter event, I'm not going to be able to get to it :'(

★ I will still be around! I'll check in every once in a while to answer asks that I get, respond to tags, etc. But I won't be posting any writing :)

oh, I was writing a poem (planning on around 5 verses) but got stuck along the way (+ attempt to let the poem rhyme, to let it flow better....) so I kind of left it there in the files for while. Might go back and try to finish what I started once I get enough inspiration.

I wrote a poem about Scaramouche before tho, if you are interested horrible attempt to let it rhyme, but at the same time not really lol

★ I didn’t get him on his first banner as I only reached 89 pity… I then saved 157 rolls for this man and started saving as soon as I got Kazuha… I won the 50/50 and it only took 70 rolls (I was at 26 pity already though :’) )

★ When I was farming for his artifacts months ago, I forgot about how his crit rate scaled as he ascended… so now I’ve got way too much crit rate for him T-T But he’s got his signature weapon! And he’s been crowned once! I just need more gold books to get hm triple crowned :))

Also! I used the rolls I got from levelling Xiao on the standard and got my second five star weapon! I was only at 17 pity too! It’s just unfortunate that I don’t use any catalyst users… maybe Scaramouche will be one?
