I was originally hunting down Bob Kirgis’ reference to Eric and Dylan getting along well with his six-year-old daughter, but located something else following that reference that interested me a little bit more and was further correlated by Billy Dao’s statement about the same: Eric used to wear a black University of Colorado “starter type” jacket much more. I did some googling and it seems that most of those jackets are combined with yellow, as seen above, but it kinda gives you a little bit of an impression as to Eric’s regular clothing style before he turned to wearing the duster and such.
I think it’s also a little symbolic thing that connects him to his brother: Kevin attended the University of Colorado at the time Eric attended Columbine and some accounts do state that Eric went to watch Kevin play in sports games there.
Me:I just really want to see the basement tapes at least once before I die
Person:...you know they destroyed the basement tapes right??
Me:And who do you think you are running 'round leaving scars collecting your jar of hearts and tearing love apart you're gonna catch a cold from the ice inside your soul-
“Several people have suggested to me that Eric founds excuses to hate me back in junior year because he felt I was threatening his friendship with Dylan. […] Eric came from a background of constantly moving around with his family; who knows how many friendships were cut off for him each time?” - Brooks Brown, The Truth Behind Death At Columbine
Dear Eric and Dylan,,
It’s been a hard day for me,,
And I’m trying not to cry.
We lost good people,, you see,,
A lot of people died.
Dear Eric and Dylan,,
It might be bad to say,,
But I miss you two a lot.
I wish you would’ve been saved,,
I wish the people around you had connected all the dots.
Dear Eric and Dylan,,
You both were really smart,,
Too smart for your own good.
I really think you had kind hearts,,
And you were both misunderstood.
Dear Eric and Dylan,,
It’s been 19 years now,,
And the pain is all still there.
My only question is ‘how?’
How did no one notice all the hurt that you two shared?
