"He'd savor every second like a prayer, you were his salvation." BABES I AM FOAMING AT THE MOUTH

Draco Malfoy x f!reader, fluff
Summary: In which a drunk Draco confesses his feelings for you in the midst of your touch and the smell of sea salt.
c/w: mentions of underage drinking, emetophobia
w/c: 1.8k
Tumblr media
It was a Friday night at the castle - the hallways almost barren with the occasional echoing footsteps of Filch and prefects filling in the silent chambers. On a usual weekday night, the majority of students would find themselves in their dorms studying for tests, but this Friday night was one of teenage angst and a desire to forget the world around them.
A typical Gryffindor party consists of cheap red wine stolen from house elves, and whatever snacks the teenagers managed to sneak from the kitchen. But today they knew they had to go all out - they had just won the Quidditch Cup after all. With enough bribery, the students managed to convince the Weasley twins to sneak in all forms of alcoholic drinks that would surely make them forget the night ahead. The cheap fold out table full of different sized bottles and snacks - being refilled every half hour as students continued to dance and chatter.
You were never the type to go to parties, you'd much rather spend a Friday night in bed watching a muggle TV show or reading a book. If it weren't for the persistent invitations from your best friend, Hermione, you know you'd be in your dorm right now. But you couldn't get yourself to complain just yet, as you bit the end of a cherry and drank a foul tasting liquor from your red solo cup.
The music was blasting through your ears, bodies swarming the dance floor as you tried to find an empty place to get away from the sea of sweat and off-key singing, the lights changing every few seconds and your eyes lit up in different shades of reds and blues - almost imitating the disco ball above you.
In an attempt to get away from the stuffy surroundings, you found yourself an empty seat near the back of the common room. You sat down right after adjusting your lilac mini skirt, taking a sip from your drink once you've finally found yourself to be settled. The environment around you seemed to slow down, the music blurring out and party lights all merging into one big hue, you needed this.
"I didn't take you as the partying type." A voice spoke from behind, interrupting your train of thought, or lack of, as you turned around to face the stranger.
Draco Malfoy offered you a small smile, sitting himself next to you right before taking the cup from your hand. Your relationship with Draco has always been confusing - in all your years at Hogwarts you constantly found yourself gravitating towards him. There was an unspoken rule that you two would always partner up during class assignments, and give each other gifts for the holidays or your birthdays. He wasn't a friend, more so just an add-on to your left side, someone who has now grown to be a part of you.
He took a sip of your drink before making a face,
"This is straight Vodka! Merlin, (Y/N), you're going to end up in the Black Lake if you're not careful with what you're drinking."
You laughed before responding, "So that's why it tasted so bad. I couldn't get myself to drink more than a few small sips, so don't worry yourself too much, Malfoy. Getting drunk would be bad for us.”
You two enjoyed each other's company for a few minutes more, making small talk and joking around as you usually do. In Draco's eyes, your presence was something that mattered more to him than the leisure that comes from getting drunk or making out with people you'll regret the next morning. He'd savor every second like a prayer, you were his salvation.
This was something you were unaware of - so you left him alone to dance with a boy whose name you did not know. The taste of your shit vodka and blood from biting on his bottom lip too hard, filling his tongue. This was not how he wanted to spend his Friday night.
He watched you from a distance, how your hips swayed against him, how you smiled every time he whispered something in your ear, and how for just that moment it seemed like nothing else mattered. Not him, not you, and not the us you created just a few moments earlier.
He ran his fingers through his hair before getting up and heading towards the white table, your red solo cup never leaving his left hand. Without thinking he grabbed the near empty bottle of Vodka, filling in the remainder of your cup, and chugging it all in one breath. The burning sensation filling his throat, he coughed and coughed, knowing that he would regret this in the morning. But he didn't stop there, each time he would steal a glance at you, his anger would only grow. Watching as the boy's hands would go lower, and lower, and lower.
Soon enough Draco found himself against a wall, attempting to control his balance as he slurred his words out like a loose cannon. His head throbbing and his throat burning, but he couldn't feel more alive.
A soft voice spoke behind him. "Draco, are you okay?"
He turned around only to be greeted by your best friend. A worried look plastered all over her face as she listened to the slurring strings of, of course I'm okay, and, I've never been better. He gritted his teeth and he went on to stare at you, it was your last dance of the night as you were getting tired, but to Draco you couldn't have seemed more energized.
"It's funny, isn't it 'Mione," He mumbled, "how easily she goes on to forget about me."
"Trust me Draco, she could never forget you. I could obliviate her mind right now and your name would still be the only one she'd speak.” She flashed him a sincere smile before going on to reach her friend.
He watched as Hermione made her way to you, your eyes turning to greet him as she whispered something to you. With a small nod you made your way to him. His eyes widening as he realized the state you'd be seeing him in, but with remembrance of where your hands had been just a few minutes earlier, he couldn't find himself to care.
You laid your hand on his back before speaking to him softly, "Draco?"
He hummed in response. Closing his eyes to take in your scent, now mixed with the alcohol of the room.
"Let's get you out of here, yeah?"
Your voice was one that could calm him even in the rage of hell. If he were ever to die, your body alone would be enough to bring him back whole. With the comfort of your voice ringing through his ears, he grabbed your hand. You led him out of the crowded space and into the empty corridor just outside. You looked over to him and brought your finger up to your lips, he gave you a small hum as to understand that you were to remain quiet.
Your hands intertwined as you continued to walk through the silent corridor, your steps echoing through the halls as you made your way to the dungeon to where you could finally rest. Draco ran his thumb across yours as he attempted to take in how perfectly your hands fit in his. The events from earlier left his mind as his focus was placed solely on you, and your eyes, and the way your lilac skirt seemed to get smaller and smaller.
The stillness didn't last long as he began to speak through his hiccups, “You're really pretty, (Y/N).”
Your face flushed red as you began to choke on your spit. "T-thank you, Draco," you looked up at him and smiled, "you're quite pretty too."
He smiled back, but the blush on his cheeks slowly left as his face began to grow pale. His heart rate began to quicken as he turned around to face the bare wall. His stomach wretched as he let all the contents of the party come out onto the floor beneath him, his face flashing with green before going back to its normal color. He wiped his mouth on his sweater before giving you a shy grin, the embarrassment prevalent on his face.
You rubbed him on the back and gave him a sympathetic look, "Do you feel any better?"
He hummed softly before leaning his body on yours. You taking in his warmth and resting your head on his shoulder.
"Don't worry,” you whispered softly into his ear, "I still think you're pretty."
Once finally making your way to the Slytherin common room, and into Draco's dorm, you were quick to undress the boy into a fresh set of clean clothes, and brush his teeth as his eyes fought his sleep. He was now laying on his dorm bed underneath several layers of blankets, and you, after countless pleads, were laying right next to him. A soft melody from a CD you burned for him playing, as you hummed the words softly.
Your fingers traced over his collarbones as he held you close. You could hear the rhythm of his heartbeat and the slow pace of his breathing. He made you soft, and you allowed it. The serenity of this moment was cut short by him speaking.
"You smell like sea salt,” he pulled you closer to him, "how on Earth do you smell like sea salt? We are in the middle of Scotland."
You giggled at his obliviousness before going on to play with his hair, "It's probably from my candle."
He let out a sigh in response and finally opened his eyes, he looked at you softly, like a puzzle he had yet to complete. Blushing as he noticed how you were cuddled into his chest - both of your bodies seemingly melting into one. With a gentle kiss on the forehead, his next words caught you by a surprise.
"I love you.”
Your eyes widened. You lifted yourself up in shock and stared deep into him. Draco was never one to speak so openly about his feelings, especially when it comes to you. In your mind, his love was one that seemed to have formed from the swapping of homework and detentions spent together after talking too much in class. But noticing his state, your worries faded.
"You're drunk, Draco." You reminded him, bringing yourself back down to his chest. He only groaned at your response.
Bringing his blanket back up to cover you both, his heartbeat slowed as he began to fall asleep. But no amount of drowsiness could come between what he felt for you.
"Yeah," he started, “I'm drunk. But right now, you're in my dorm, and your shitty music is playing, and I love you.”
And while you wanted to argue with him, tell him that the way he feels is built off a false image of who you are, a part of you knew that the words he spoke were said in truth. So, before going on to turn off the light, you brought your lips up to his cheek. Both of you drifting into sleep as the words flew from your mouth,
 “I love you too.”

leather jacket
-> pairing. eddie munson x reader
-> summary. while waiting for eddie to come back from work, you fall asleep on his couch with his leather jacket around you
-> content warning. established relationships, kissing, she/her pronouns used but no other gendered terms, mentions of drugs.
-> word count. 538
——
Eddie’s worn leather jacket had seen a lot. It’s rough around the edges, much like it’s owner, neither seeing much gentleness. It was a shame, really. He practically grew up with that jacket. He grew into it, too, the once large jacket now fitting him perfectly. The two had gone through the ringer together.
Maybe that’s why Eddie had such an attachment to it. Wayne has offered many times to get him a new one. Though the jacket was clean and in semi good shape, it still had its imperfections that come with time. His nephew insisted on keeping it.
It was a shame he ran out of the trailer without it. He was in a real rush that morning, nearly late to picking you up from your house for school. Normally, Eddie didn’t care about being on time to places. With you, he always was. You were important to him. His job was important to him, too. He really started turning his life around since dating you.
He’d taken you home after school, even though he was at risk of running late to work. Eddie didn’t mind, knowing he’d be found dead before he let you ride the bus home alone. He even made sure to give you a long lasting kiss before he drove off for work. So, Eddie went to work without his jacket, and most importantly, without his girl.
That’s why Eddie’s heart jumped the way it did at the sight he saw in the living room. The television was on - Wayne on his recliner watching an old Western with a beer bottle. It was on a lower volume, the only thing brightening the room was that and a lamp. This he expected, Wayne finally had a night off, which he normally spent watching television. What he didn’t expect was the person curled up on the couch.
You were sitting on one end of the couch, feet tucked beside you comfortably as you leaned your head against the armrest. Draped around you and pulled tight was Eddie’s leather jacket. That jacket has never been in the hands of something so soft, so gentle. It took Eddie by full surprise seeing you there asleep in the comfort of his jacket. In the comfort of his place.
“She came over about two hours ago,” Wayne whispered, barely looking away from the television. “Said she was bored, but I think she just missed you. Been asleep ever since.”
There was a sort of gleam in Wayne’s eyes. It was a sort of proud look, like he was happy Eddie finally found someone worth his time, worthy of his nephew. Eddie knew that. He knew how endlessly lucky he was for you to be in his life.
He stood admiring your soft features for a few moments, before taking his bag to his room. Eddie made his bed, too, while he was in there, prepared to bring you in soon. He felt bad for waking you up, though he was pleased to see your sleepy eyes open. Your soft eyes were accompanied by a small smile soon after. You sat up with a weak ‘hi’ as he kissed your forehead gently.
“Hi sweetheart. Let’s get you to bed.”

"Come on in- just, be a little quiet, I've got my new coworker over." Jimin chuckles, making Jungkook look at him scandalized- since Jimin, technically, has a girlfriend.
"Ah no, not like that." He waves off, walking in after they both taken off their shoes. "A waterpipe broke in her bedroom, so now she's crashing on my couch for the time being." He explains, putting a finger to his lips as they enter the living room area, where Jungkook spots your body underneath a blanket, clearly asleep.
What peaks his attention though, are the very obvious bunny ears on your head, only partially covered by your hair.
Bunny hybrids aren't common at all, nowadays, due to them ending up mixing with humans more often than not- so much so, that until now, Jungkook has never met another 'pure' bunny hybrid of the opposite sex before, ever. "Just sit down there- she sleeps like a rock, so don't worry too much about waking her." Jimin laughs, easily sitting down in a seat across from where you sleep, while Jungkook carefully takes the spot next to where your head is resting. From here, he's got an even better view of you- and you're just.. so cute.
Though he feels himself short-circuiting the moment you move, nose scrunching up a bit as you move your leg, blanket now slipping a little to reveal the softest looking bunny tail he's ever seen. That, combined with your ear twitching while you dream, makes him wonder about things he never really thought of before. He absentmindedly reaches to touch his own ear, trying to see if they're just as soft as yours look. Are they? He's not sure. He's so close to you he could just see for himself, especially when you move a little more, head leaning against his thigh, ears laying over it- but he knows how much he hates having his ears touched constantly, so he doesn't.
That would just be rude.
"Do you know a cheap place where she can stay? Sine my partner is a wolf hybrid, you know.." Jimin wonders, sighing. "Here, that's the sketches by the way." He offers, giving a few papers to Jungkook who takes them. "Oh! Or, since you're both the same species, maybe she could stay with you? You still have the pull-out couch right?"
"Yeah!" Jungkook answers, while you seem to finally wake up, slowly sitting upright, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes.
"Great!" Jimin misunderstands the rabbit boy's answer. "Hey, bunny? Jungkookie over here has an empty couch you can stay on." He tells you, who's ears slowly stand up, before you look over at the shoulder of the other bunny hybrid- head slowly lifting to look at the wide open eyes of the buck next to you. "He's easy to be around, don't worry." Jimin jokes.
"Oh?" You wonder, noticing Jungkook's black ears turned towards you as well, giving you all information you need for the moment. "Tha's nice of you." You slur sleepily, yawning before you stretch. "Thank you." You smile, and Jungkook is officially without any brain activity at all for the moment.
Especially when you lean your head to the side a bit, ears flopping over, still clearly drowsy from sleep.
"Uh.. yeah!" Jungkook snaps out of it, ripping his eyes away from you, though he hears you giggle a little to yourself, causing his tail to wiggle without his control of it. He honestly didn't mean to agree to something like this- hell, his apartment isn't even remotely tidied up, there's probably dishes in the sink and his laundry all over the place- but in some odd way, he also can't pass up the opportunity of a lifetime, basically; because you're so pretty, and-
wait, he doesn't even know if you have a boyfriend. Do you? And if you do, why is he not helping you out in a time like this? He knows he would've offered you to stay at his home right away if something was up. That's just common sense.
"I'll go get my stuff.." You mumble, slowly getting up to stretch one last time- bunny tail wiggling around as you groan, giving Jungkook pretty much whiplash from the sight alone, before you walk away into the bathroom, probably to shower and wake up properly.
"She's cute, huh?" Jimin teases, catching Jungkook staring after you. "Doesn't have a boyfriend from what I know. And she's a bunny too." He wiggles his eyebrows, while Jungkook shakes his head.
"So?" He huffs. "Doesn't mean we're like.. destined or something. I'm just gonna help her out- and after that, we'll go back to being strangers anyways." He simply says, shrugging it off. After all, he's tried relationships before- and they all somehow always failed because of him in some way, making him believe that at this point, he just isn't fit for simple relationships.
He can't help his instincts, and neither can he help his.. needs either.
So when he takes the sketches home to work on, and helps carry your bag for you- he doesn't get his hopes up for something changing, because down the line, maybe that'll protect him from the inevitable heartbreak when you leave just like he fears you will.
Just like everyone else did before.
•━━━━━♡━━━━•.🐇.•━━━━━♡━━━━━━•
Inside his apartment, you're clearly finally properly awake now, curiously following him as he shows you around, before he leaves you in his small living room to fetch some sheets and blankets for you to put on the couch.
It's clear that he lives alone, apartment a bit.. lifeless almost, not much screaming home at you from what you can see. Apart from a sweater thrown over a chair at the open kitchenette, and a few dishes in the sink, it looks like any ordinary single-guy household.
Interesting. Especially the fact that his home only smells of himself and no one else. Doesn't he have a partner?
That wouldn't make sense. He's basically the perfect buck.
"It's a bit.. uh, I know this will look like it's broken but it's not-" He defends, rubbing the back of his neck after he put the blankets and sheets on one side of the couch, leaning down to pull on the lower edge of the front of the couch. "-it's just.. urgh- old!" He grits, using a good amount of strength to pull out the part that snaps back up into place, ultimately turning the small couch into a bed with good amount of space on it.
You can't help but stare wide eyed however, not at the furniture- but rather the clear display of strength of his, arms showing off their muscles even while covered mostly by his plain white t-shirt. You can't help it- after all, it's instincts.
Snapping out of it when you notice him looking at you in question, you shake those thoughts off for the moment, hands behind your back while you sway on your legs a little. "Uh.. I didn't listen, sorry. What did you say?" You ask, caught a bit in your staring contest between you and his thighs having multiplied twice their size from the way he's sitting on his heels on the floor.
"I asked if you.. if that blanket is enough, or if you want a thicker one?" He offers. "I have a spare one with feather filling if you'd like.." He wonders, and you nod instantly.
You like thick blankets and bedding a lot- it makes for great nesting material, and gives you a sense of comfort while asleep.
He smiles in a friendly manner, before he fetches said blanket, taking a bit longer to put a cover over it, before he brings it to the couch you're already on all fours on, tucking the sheets into the corners properly, and he can't help but watch you a little. He himself doesn't really nest, and since he's never met a female bunny hybrid before, he's never actually seen one making a nest, except for in movies and TV shows. So, seeing you so naturally do it, makes him wonder.
How much of what he heard and seen about female bunny hybrids is actually true- and how much is just romanticized fiction?
After all, he as a male bunny hybrid is often watered down to nothing but a good lover in bed- but once those people get into an actual relationship, and realize that it's not just fun and games but a need of his that he'd have fulfilled every day of the week if possible, he quickly becomes too much to handle.
And so, most of the time, everything always falls apart because he's too needy. Too demanding. Too high maintenance. Too tough to.. satiate.
"Here." He carefully offers the bedding to you, and you smile, happily taking it with a 'thank you' from your side. He's a bit awkward now- unsure if you'd like him to stay or not. "Do you… should I leave?" He asks, unsure.
"No?" You answer, shaking your head. "This is your home after all. Why should you leave?" You giggle, unaware of Jungkook's inner troubles with the whole situation. He sits down on the edge of the bed so he stays out of the way, while you position some pillows and the other blanket how you want, eventually settling on the thick feather-filled quilt, hugging it it as you look at him arms and legs wrapped around the thick fluffy bedding.
"I.. uhm, I've never actually met a doe before, so I'm not sure how to really act." He admits, and you nod, lips parted in an 'o'-shape as you realize his dilemma.
"That's fine." You simply say. "We're kinda rare after all, I only ever really met another buck like.. a few years back? And he was an asshole, so you're already doing a lot better than him!" You joke, though he can spot some truth behind your words, worrying him what might've happened in the past. "So, Jiminie gave you sketches, right?" You ask, and he nods, happy over the finally flowing conversation. "What's that about?" You ask.
"I'm a tattoo artist." He says, pulling up the sleeve of his white shirt way over his shoulder, showing off his inked arm, making you lean closer to gain a better look, ears fully turned towards him now in interest. "I designed all of them myself, for example." He offers, chuckling when you tilt your head to look at something in a different angle.
"Oh, they're so cool!" You praise, before leaning back again. "I wanna have a tattoo too, but, I don't know.. people told me I shouldn't, cause it wouldn't suit me.." You mumble, leaning back into the comfort of the bedding.
"I mean, it depends what you'd want?" He shrugs. "I could for sure come up with something more delicate maybe?" He wonders, mind already trying to imagine some art underneath your skin right now.
"Heh, you wanna mark me up?" You flirt boldly, catching him off guard at your innuendo. "I'm just kidding. You're cute!" You compliment, before you curl up in your little nest once more. "...though.." you mumble, looking at him dangerously from underneath your lashes.
...though?" He asks, breathes out almost carefully.
"Though I wouldn't mind you cuddling me, to be honest." You giggle into the quilt, cheeks tinted softly. "You look like you give great cuddles." You say, and he laughs a bit bashfully to himself.
"I mean- maybe?" He shrugs, unsure. He's not really.. cuddled much before, every touch of his always having been taken as either an invitation or demand even when it wasn't either- so at some point in his life, he just stopped even thinking about it. What would make you different from them?
And what does he really have to lose, down the line?
You're Jimin's coworker. If you and Jungkook don't work out, there's no awkwardness really, to be fair. You'd just part ways, and that would be it, and since you're both clearly adults, nothing speaks against it.
"Shouldn't we.. maybe get to know each other more?" He wonders carefully, testing the waters. And your next words make him wonder if you could really truly be a new start for him.
"Why? It's only cuddling." You huff. "It's not like I wanna go to phase two just because you touch me." You joke.
And while he does smile at it, it's not a joke to him.
It's much more than that.
•━━━━━♡━━━━•.🐇.•━━━━━♡━━━━━━•
"Heeh, whatcha cooking?" You ask, dipping underneath his arm to catch a glimpse at the pot he's stirring, making him instinctively reach out to pull you back so you don't look inside and hurt yourself.
"Ramen- but it's spicy, so you might not like it." He chuckles, remembering how you told him last night at a movie you watched together that you don't tolerate spicy things very well. Most buny hybrids dont- but he grew up with it, so maybe that's why he can stomach it very well.
The movie you watched yesterday had only been background noise to be honest, because you were rather occupied getting to know each other better, just like Jungkook had suggested. He now knows that you moved here after a bad relationship break up lead to you wanting a new fresh start somewhere else, while you learned that Jungkook used to work at an internet Cafe for a while until he could finally land a spot at Min Yoongis tattoo studio.
You've warmed up to each other quite quickly- and not just over shared life experiences and problems you'd laugh over together.
"But I'm hungry." You tell him, looking upwards at his face that's watching you as well. "Can I use your kitchen to make myself something?" You wonder, and he smiles, laughing.
"I can cook one extra. I have a mild chicken one in here- would you like that?" He asks, and you nod, reaching for it- though he's holding it too far away. "I said I'm making it." He jokingly scolds. "You go wait, it'll take maybe twenty minutes or so." He explains, though you just turn around and...
Hug him?
"Heeh, you're so warm!" You giggle, unable to really resist at least trying to hug him once- when a hand sets itself onto your back, holding you close while he continues cooking. He just smells so nice, and he is so nice in general that you just involuntarily get attached already.
You're a bunny hybrid after all. You crave affection, need attention.. and much more than that, but this part, you've learned to control. It throws people off how clingy and needy you are, it's something you learned the hard way- and you're hoping that you won't screw it up with Jungkook.
Cause you really like him already. Might go as far as to say you've got a terrible crush.
"Am I bothering you?" You ask meekly but he shakes his head, a surprised expression on his face.
"No, I'd tell you if you did." He answers, and at that, your eyes sparkle in wonder, head resting against his chest. Words like that mean the world to you- because thar means you won't just unknowingly make him uncomfortable until he gets rid of you. He'll tell you first, so you can change.
"Thank you." You simply say-
And he wonders what you must've experienced in the past to be so grateful of simple communication like that.
•━━━━━♡━━━━•.🐇.•━━━━━♡━━━━━━•
"So, you're staying with Jungkook now?" Namjoon, a bear hybrid across from you asks- and you nod.
"Hmhm, he's really nice." You compliment, and Jungkook feels his cheeks start to get hotter at your praise. He's got a terrible problem and it's only four days in of you both knowing each other-
Because his body is clearly reacting to your scent being all over his apartment and all over him.
He can't help it, it's quite frankly embarrassing how often he has to shower and try and relieve himself somewhat quietly so you won't notice- ache in his body now worse than ever before, with you as a doe so close around him all the time. You're clearly in your prime, and so is he- bodies communicating that desire constantly without either of your control.
And unbeknownst to him, you're very aware of his dilemma. He's not exactly as quiet as he thinks he is.
In that department, you pride yourself in being a lot more secretive- he probably hasn't even noticed that you got yourself off right in your nest in the living room, because you, compared to him, can be quiet.
Well, but he knows. Because while you might not make much sound, your scent left on your bedding speaks louder than you could ever scream. And it's torture.
"So, you both?" Jimin raises his brows suggestively, making Jungkook shakes his head bashfully. "Heh, why not? You're already so cute together!" He whines, always so passionate about his best friend finally finding that special someone.
Namjoon sighs and scolds the younger friend, before he looks at you. "I'm sorry, he can be a bit too bold sometimes." He says, and you just wave it off.
"No its fine, I understand." You say, before going back to eating.
You're awfully quiet the rest of the night, seemingly rather low on energy. It's something Jungkook notices with slight worry, fearing you might be coming down with something- unaware that it's both your social batteries running low, and also the fact that, naturally, bunny hybrids tend to kind of shrink in on themselves if they're without affection for too long.
And for you, it's been a long time since someone cared for you in a more intimate way.
But he doesn't connect the dots yet, rather offers to go home with you a bit earlier, to get you into bed so you can rest properly.
•━━━━━♡━━━━•.🐇.•━━━━━♡━━━━━━•
You're surprisingly visiting often and regularly, even after returning to your now renovated home.
You seek him out actively, ask often for his opinion on things or if he wants to hang out- and he's thriving, energy at an all time high. It's something that everyone at the tattoo shop notices too, constantly picking on the rabbit hybrid- but he couldn't care less.
Because last night, you told him you liked him. Like, liked him a lot. You got a crush on him.
And it makes him all giddy with excitement, causes him to whistle as he cleans up his workspace to finally go home and welcome you back to his apartment for some takeout and cuddles- because that's something that you do often as well.
It's like the only quality sleep he has these days is only when he sleeps together with you. And not even in a sexual sense whatsoever.
You gently turn him whenever he falls into a bad position during his sleep that makes him snore- instead of telling him that he's annoying and disrupting your rest. You cling onto him, you're nuzzling into his neck, you scent him- and he loves every second of it, soaks up your affectionate attention like a sponge.
You're just so cute, and perfect for him- he can't help but fall for you. And knowing that you did too- just makes it all feel like a fairytale come true.
Though, in his car, things don't go quite as.. tame as he expected it to.
Not that he complains.
You're on his lap in the driver's seat as he'd parked his car at an empty parking lot out of sight of the main road, clinging to him, kissing him just as eagerly as he does you. It's desperate, open mouths stealing each other's breath away, his teasing bites to your lip making you whimper. "Please-" you softly cry, looking at him with pleading eyes. "-I'm starving.!" You complain, and he laughs.
The moment you're both in the backseat of his car, he wastes no time- using the sweater and shirt he pulls off his upper body in one go to throw them against the door so your head is supported, before he leans down to kiss you again. He can't get enough, not of you, and not of this moment-
Because down the line, he's equally as touch-starved as you are.
There's no time nor need for words as his hands push beneath your clothes, exploring what he finds beneath with eager palms, skin warm to the touch. You're squirming in place, needy for more than he gives right now- and he decides that patience can go fuck itself, because he needs you.
The moment he unveils your lower body to his eyes is the moment he just knows he can't control himself, hand instantly reaching between your legs to play with you, get you ready. "How have you been like this, huh?" He chuckles, jokes, as you squirm and roll your hips into his hand. "Poor baby, suffering in silence when I'm right here." He breathes out, sensitive core so desperate you don't need much to come undone for the first time.
While you catch your breath, he uses that time to search for a condom in his car- finding one in his wallet, thankfully, before he covers his length that you're already reaching for.
"Next time." He reassures your disappointed face as you realize he's not gonna let you return the favor. "Right now I need you." He instead explains, before he guides the head of his cock through your folds, collecting your wetness before he finally pushes inside.
Your head is finally empty, no thoughts rushing any longer, the only thing on your mind the feeling of him filling you up.
You don't care if you're needy, or clingy, or too demanding- right now you want all he has to offer, as your legs wrap around him, pulling him closer.
And closer he gets, leaning down to capture your lips once more before his hips start to move.
The sounds you make must be nothing shy of pornographic, but you don't spare any mind to it- instead letting your eyes roll back as he picks up his pace, testing your limits to see what you need, and what you can take. And much to his personal pleasure, it seems like you're a perfect fit-
Not just in any other way already.
Your tail must be soaked in your slick at this point, ring of foamy white decorating the base of his length as he keeps up his rhythm, skin smacking against skin loudly in the small space of the car. Any bystander outside probably knows exactly what's going on-
And he couldn't care less.
An almost growling sound escapes him when he feels you clench in your upcoming orgasm, thighs trembling against his body as you cry out, white hot pleasure making you blind and deaf for a second, while his hips stutter, one final push all it takes for him to snap-
As he pulls out your soaked cunt, pulling the condom off to instead close your legs and bring himself to his finish that way, white strings of cum covering your naked front, even up to your shirt that he's pushed way up high to reveal your bouncing chest to his eyes.
He's breathing heavily together with you, as he notices the scene he finds himself in.
The windows of the car are all fogged up, and it's stuffy inside, smell of sex filling the entirety of the space, leather of the seats squeaking slightly as he adjusts his position. Your most recent experience of pleasure covers his thighs and seats, but he doesn't mind, he can only laugh to himself absolutely starstruck.
He's never experience something like this before.
He's never had any sexual encounter where he felt this satisfied after, no lingering appetite left for the moment, as he helps you out of your shirt to use it to wipe your body somewhat clean- his cum having stained the fabric already anyways.
The second he notices you shivering he helps you into a sitting position after cleaning you between your legs too- or at least drying your skin, before he wipes the seats. "I uh.." you mumble, staring at the mess you've made. "...that's new." You say, and he laughs, looking at you with eyes full of stars.
"I know." He answers, making you beam back with an equally love-filled gaze, shy laughter breaking the awkward aftermath of your first time.
And that's when he knew-
You're it for him.
For now and forever.

"Jungkoooook~?" You sing, hanging somewhat upside down off his bed- when he walks into the bedroom, freshly showered.
"Whaaaaat~?" He parrots back in a similar tone, walking to the closet to get a shirt and pants.
"Do you love me?" You wonder, and he laughs, slipping the shirt over his head.
"Of course." He instantly answers without thinking.
"Do you really love me?" You ask, and he turns around now, looking at you with suspicion.
"...You're gonna ask me to drive you to that one specific place where they sell those giant milkshakes again, aren't you?" He accuses, and you giggle.
"I mean, do you reeeaaally love me?" You jokingly ask, and at that he squats down in front of you to kiss your upside-down lips with a smile.
"Of course I do." He answers. "So much so that I'll drive you there, even though you're gonna have a stomachache from all the food again."
"That was once!" You call out as he puts on his sweatpants having now sat up. "Or maybe twice.. okay if we count last Tuesday maybe three times but that-"
"Doesn't count, I know." He finishes his sentence for you, closing the closet before he leans his hands on the bed, lips catching yours to shut you up for a second.
But as he leans back to look at you, there's a new desire in your eyes.
"You know.. now that I think of it.." you mumble quietly, hands toying with the strings of his sweats. "I'm hungry for something else.." you bat your lashes at him, and he smirks at that, leaning his head to the side while he watches your lips.
"I wonder what that might be." He grins, licking his lips as you lean onto your back, his body now crawling over you.
"Guess you better find out." You tell him, hands already pulling down the hem of his pants slowly.
"Guess I have to." He shrugs, letting you undress him, trip to the far away diner long forgotten.
Because who needs to eat out when you've got the best dinner at home?

Year 1990
Eddie was in his final semester of college with a very popular radio show. He became pretty much well-known on campus overnight. His radio show is known as "The Munson Experience," and it slowly became an overnight hit.
Fans of DnD tuned in for his hour of lore telling and tips on how to build up your fantasy world. Metal heads tuned in for his controversial opinions on bands. Others listened specifically for his special segments in regard to the topic of sex. Boyfriends called for advice on dating and different ways to get their girls off. Girlfriends called him to give thank you's and ask what they could do to repay the favor. He would have callers tell him their most outrageous stories.
Eddies show became popular very fast after he introduced his sex segment. He even became some what of celebrity at your college. He never used a different name or tried to use any type of anonymity. He didn't care if people knew him for his show or even liked him for it.
He was unapologetically himself at all times. You seen him around campus walking from one lecture to the next. Eddie would always wear an old band tee with the sleeves cut off, turning into a muscle tank. He liked showing off his tattoos. One arm fully covered in dark ink all the way down to the top of his hand. The other arm had a few tattoos scattered here and there. His hair was almost past his shoulders, and he had a small nose ring in his left nostril.
You'd always watch from afar as people would approach him to make small talk. The guys rushed over to invite him to their house partylies and girls giving out their personal phone numbers. It was no secret that Eddie knew how to please women. You heard the stories, and judging by his advice on his show, you believed them. He would even share his own personal hook up stories sometimes during the segment.
You and Eddie only ever had one class last semester together, but he never even made a single glance your way. You never approached him either, opting to just admire from distance and make your way to class. Every evening, you did, however, turn on the radio to listen to his show. Truthfully, you only listened to hear his voice. You had no idea what he was rambling on about most of the time, but you didn't care. His barritone voice was like warm honey to your ears. You found comfort in listening to him every night before bed. It was strange how the moment his show started, your stress of the day just melted away.
One day, you were going to call him for help about something you had never told anymore before. You already felt like you could trust him with this sort of thing. You were determined to speak to him even if you had to confess never having had an orgasm before. You don't know why you're putting so much trust into him, but you have.
You were desperate for his help and attention if you're going to be honest. You would lay in bed daydreaming about being in those other girls' shoes when he described what he did to them. How he would feel between your legs. Having his weight on top of you as you came undone beneath him.
Maybe you'll call in to his show tomorrow? What harm could it do? No one would even know it was you on the other line. You didn't have many friends on campus, so it's not like anyone would make the distinction so quickly. This would all be completely anonymous.
You just needed to speak with him. You never could work up the courage to talk to him in real life. You've always been too shy and easily intimidated. Eddie was a nice guy from what you could tell. There was nothing to be intimidated by at all. You would always get butterflies in your stomach when you saw him around. He made your stomach do flips when he flashed a smile, revealing the dimples in his cheeks. You could never work up the courage to ever approach him, so you just settle for your fantasies instead.
Tumblr media
A few weeks went by, and you still haven't called. Not that you didn't try. You would call and hang up when you heard what you assumed was an assistant answer the phone. The moment you heard, "Thank you for calling in to the munson." You slammed the phone on the receiver. Not even letting the poor guy finish his sentence. This situation was driving you crazy you were convinced he could and would help with your problem. You assured yourself he was the only one who could because you didn't want anyone else to.
You mope around your shared home with your roommate, Monica. She could tell something was bothering you but never pressed on the issue. You two weren't the closest, but there was a mutual respect and love for one another. She'd try to get you to go out to parties with her but knew not to pressure you. The moment she heard a no, she left it at that, shrugging her shoulders and leaving you be.
"I can tell something is bugging you." she asked for the millionth time that week.
You sigh. "Im fine, I swear -- just little stressed." You put on a fake smile heading back to your room, leaving her to continue getting ready her date. Hoping she won't ask you again, you locked yourself away for the night. There was a light knock at your door, and you heard your roommates muffled voice from the other side. "I'll be back late. Get some sleep, okay?"
You ignore her as she leaves for the evening. Flopping yourself back against your pillows, you turned to look at your phone. Then, glance at your clock, it read 10:45 pm. It's almost time for his last segment of the night. Should you call? Would tonight be the night? You rolled over on your side, staring between the clock and your phone.
You sat up quickly, snatching the phone and dialing the numbers. Your heart already pumping with adrenaline when you hear the dial tone. A lump in your throat builds from nerves and excitement. Tonight was the night, and you were not going to chicken out this time. You hear the distinct voice on the other end of the call. "Thank you for calling into the munson experience. What are you calling in for."
You struggle to find your voice for a moment. The man on the other end is waiting for you to respond, and he almost hangs up, thinking it's another crank call. "I'm calling to speak to Eddie." You're voice barely even a whisper that you needed to repeat yourself three times. Eventually, they put you on hold while they got ready for his final segment. You exhale a deep breath you didn't even know you were holding in.
The sound of the music they put you on hold to cut off and your stomach drops. This was it you were finally going to do it. Not only were you going to speak to him, but you were also about to confess something that always made you feel embarrassed. You know it's nothing to be ashamed about truly. Judging by the countless women who called in with a similar problem looking for advice.
The music playing on the radio fades, and you hear him greet you."Hi, thank you for calling in. How can I be of assistance?"
You struggled to find your voice yet again.
"Hello? C'mon, don't be shy. This is a judgment free zone here." He leaned forward in his chair, getting closer to the microphone.
"Umm, hi, I was calling for something I think only you can help me with." You're clutching the phone in a tight grip against your ear. Your hands are shaking, and you hope no one can recognize you.
He leans back in his rolling chair. "And who am I speaking with."
"I....I'd rather not give you my name." You stammered. Your anxiety is building up, and you are so close to hanging up.
"That's okay. Well, keep this anonymous." He replied.
His brows raise for a moment as he listened to you talk. You sounded a little too familiar to him, and he has a sneaking suspension he might know who you are. He won't out you just in case he might be wrong and also respecting your wishes to remain anonymous.
You take a deep breath. "Well, you see, I've never...I don't know how to say this."
"You never what?" Have sex or something? " He asked, but his voice showed no emotions.
"No...I mean I'm not a virgin or anything like that. I just....I've had boyfriends, and anytime we did stuff, I never-- finished." You confessed to him.
His eyes widened for a moment, and he felt a pain of sadness in his heart. He could tell you were scared to reveal something so personal like that. Especially to him, a total stranger on a live radio show with hundreds of listeners. "You never had an orgasm before. Is that what you're trying to tell me?"
Pinching the bridge of your nose." Yes, that's what I'm telling you."
"Huh, okay, have you tried getting yourself off, at least?" He questioned, spinning around in his chair. His assistant, the other side of the room, listened Intently to the conversation.
"Well you see that's my problem anytime I tried to make myself cum I just kinda give up. I get so close and right when I'm there... I stop." You blurt out as you feel a weight being lifted from your shoulders.
He ponders for a moment before responding. "And how can I help you with this exactly? "
"Well, I was hoping you could guide me through it." Your face scrunching up as the words left your mouth. You knew this was a dumb idea from the start. He wasn't going to help you, and any moment now, you're waiting to hear him laugh at how ridiculous this is. There's a long, almost uncomfortable silence.
Eddie, on the other side of the line in his booth, is in utter disbelief. Sure, he definitely wants to guide you through that experience. What guy wouldn't? He just truly can not believe this was happening live on HIS show. His assistant kept mouthing no to him, knowing this could end badly. Eddie doesn't care he's doing it. He picks up his old bandana that's been discarded on the table and wipes sweat from his forehead. He nods back at the assistant, signaling hes going along with it whether people like it or not.
Picking up his yoyo, he props his feet up on the table in front of him. "You want me to help you cum?" Is that correct."
"Yes, that's what I want. I need you to help me any way you can." You're sounding more desperate than intended.
"Okay, well, miss caller. I think im the perfect guy for the job." He smiles tossing the yoyo back and forth to the palm of his hand.
You smile as the anxiety you felt early slowly fades away.
"What are we using tonight, sweetheart? Fingers or toys?" He asked tossing his yoyo aside.
"Umm, I have a toy I can use." You closed your eyes tight, answering his question.
"Do you want me to talk dirty to you while we do this, sweetheart? " He got his voice lower in the mic, causing your breath to hitch.
'Uhh, yes... I'd like that a lot, actually." You bite your lower lip, anticipating what he's planning.
A grin plastered on his face while his mouth gets unbelievably closer to the mic. His voice felt so close to your ear. Your skin prickles with goosebumps. "Are you laying back, sweetheart?"
"....uhh,yes, I'm laying in bed." Your voice shakey on the other end.
"Good girl, get nice and comfortable for me."
You involuntarily squeeze your thighs together when you hear him calling you a "good girl." You turn off your bedside light and let the warm glow from your candles set the mood.
"What are you wearing?" He asked, licking his lips.
"A shirt and panties." You replied, looking down at yourself.
"Yeah? wanna take those panties off for me." He continued on making his voice low and deep. Similar to his DM voice, he would put on during his DnD segments. A shiver runs down your spine, and you can feel yourself getting wetter. There is a small wet patch already forming on the thin lace material of your panties.
You moved and carefully dragged the delicate lace down your legs, tossing them across your room. "They're off."
"That's a good girl." He praised.
You lay there patiently waiting for him to continue.
"Can you be my good girl and grab that little toy you told me about?" He asked you, feeling himself growing hard as well. He still can't believe he's doing this but doesn't want to stop. "Do you have it?"
Reaching over to your bedside table, you open the drawer, grabbing the small vibrator.
"I got it." You whisper into the phone.
He readjusts in his seat, "Turn it on for me."
You do as he says and turn the small vibrator onto the lowest setting. That ball of nerves in the pit of your stomach creeps back in. You want to do this, but the thought of hundreds of people listening to you right makes you second guess the decision.
"On second thought, maybe this was a bad idea." You admit trying to fight back tears as a lump in your throat forms.
"No, no hey its okay. What's wrong?" He asked, sounding concerned.
"I--i just remembered there are people listening." You stumble over your words as you try not to cry. Feeling a little ridiculous that you're even going through with this.
He frowns to himself. " Listen, it's just me, and you okay? If you don't want to do this, I understand you can always hang up."
"NO!--I want to do this." You blurt out. Once again, there is a long pause as he's thinking of the right things to say. Eddie doesn't want to make you feel pressured. He wants this to be an enjoyable moment. "Shall we continue?"
"Yes, please." You spoke sofly.
"That's my good girl." He cooed.
You whimper lowly into the phone, but it doesn't go unnoticeable. He already knows how to get you riled up, and he hasn't even gotten started yet. "You like that, don't you?"
"You like it when I call you a good girl?" He teased.
You gulped into the phone." Yeah."
His assistant in the next room is chewing on his nails out of pure terror. He's never seen this happen before on a live radio show, and he just knows what a shit storm it could cause. Eddie doesn't seem to mind at all his focus and attention were strictly on you.
"I want you grab that toy and put it to your clit. Can you do that for me?" He gets his voice low again. Your nipples harden under the thin material of your shirt. You bring the vibrator to your sensitive bud and gasp when you feel the vibrations.
"Okay, sweetheart, now think of me between those thighs. Think of my lips wrapped around your clit sucking so so softly. Imagine my face buried between your legs.." He's breathing heavier into the mic. His cock getting painfully hard in his jeans "Are you thinking about it?"
"Mmm, y--yes I'm...I'm imagining you there." You gasp and moan in the phone.
"I know you must be soaked right now. I wish I was there with you, spreading you open with my tongue. I bet you taste so fucking good" He kept going his voice getting more seductive in your ear.
"Is this your first time thinking of me like this?"
A sly grin creeps up on his face as he probably already knows the answer.
"I bet you have. I'm sure you've seen me around our campus. You've probably wondered what it would be like having my thick cock deep inside you. I would make you cum so fucking hard." He's getting really into it now, and his heart races with excitement.
You sink further into your bed as the vibrator continues working on your clit. Your hips bucking up as you writhe on your blanks, taking in every word he spoke. The phone keeps falling from your ear the more relaxed you become. Your mind in a fog while you listen to him say the dirtiest things. No one has ever spoken to you like this before, not even your ex-boyfriends. "Hey, you there?"
You gasp, "Yes, I'm here."
"Great. I need you to try and keep the phone to your ear as best you can for this part. Now with your other hand, use your fingers to fuck yourself but keep that vibrator where it is, got it?" He sounded much more serious this time.
You kept the vibrator right where it was at while you gently brought two fingers to your entrance. You slide them between your wet folds, getting them covered in your juices. You bite your lower lip hard as you teased around your dripping pussy. You hear him groan in the other end of the phone and wonder if he's enjoying this just as much as you are. You gently dip your two fingers inside you, getting them as deep as they possibly could go. "Ooh! Fuck." You moaned in his ear.
"Yeah, that's it pretend your fingers are my cock sweetheart." His let out a shakey breath.
"I bet your so fucking tight. Just thinking about your tight pussy taking my cock is making me so hard." He's getting himself riled up.
He rubbs the back of his neck, trying to stay focused. "I'd have to take my time with you first. Working you open until you're ready to take all of me."
"Is it big?" You ask him meekly, panting into the phone while your fingers stretch you open.
"Fuck baby--id have you feeling so full." He groaned in the mic, struggling to keep himself composed. Clenching his jaw tight as he opens and closes his fists.
Eddies tries his best to resist rubbing himself over his jeans as he listened to you. He has to remember this isn't about him right now it's all about you. His sole purpose of the night is making you cum and he's determined you will.
Your fingers continue pumping in and out at a vigorous pace. The vibrator placed carefully on your sore bud while you try your best not to drop the phone again. "I can hear your dripping pussy from here."
His words turn you on even more, making you grow wetter for him. Your body is covered in beads of sweat as your face grows hot. Your pussy making a loud schlick noise with every pump of your fingers.
"Feel good?" He asked you with amusement etched in his tone.
"Yes, it feels so good." You let out weak pathetic response. "Oh my god!" You squealed into the phone. Desperately trying to keep it balanced between your head and shoulder. You're a moaning, whimpering mess, and you don't care how loud you're being. You've never felt like this before it's terrifying and thrilling all at the same time.
He laughs, rubbing his chin letting out a quiet grunt before speaking again, "You sound so sexy when you make those little noises."
His listeners are having a hard time distinguishing if he's getting himself off in the process or if he's just playing it up for the moment. They're used to his crazy antics, but this was something entirely new. They were all shocked and impressed they were getting to witness this.
Your fingers pumping harder as you curve them upwards to rub against that sweet spot on your walls. Your thighs shake as you arch your back off the bed. You imagined they were his cock instead pounding in and out of your pussy like this. You feel a tightness in your core building up, and you know you're getting close.
"You're getting close, aren't you?" He whispered seductively.
"S'close." You whined.
"That's it be a good girl and cum." Cum all over my cock." He groaned.
The vibrator on your clit helping to bring you closer to your release. You spread your legs them even further apart. You're moaning louder into the phone. You can't even hear Eddie's voice anymore. Fucking yourself with your fingers is becoming difficult the closer you are to your release. Your walls clenching up tightly around them, and your pulse quickening.
You plunge them in and out of your pussy faster. That coil in your tummy is getting tighter. The feeling is all too familiar, and you start to get scared. What if you can't get past this part? You're doubting yourself again. You let out a deep breath and relax your mind.
Your legs shut involuntarily, and the vibrator falls from between your thighs. Your eyes roll to the back of your head as your first ever orgasm rips through your body with so much intensity. Your vision goes black, and you stop breathing for a second. The phone lays abandoned next to your head, having dropped it long ago. You can hear Eddie's muffled voice calling out for you.
Tears begin pouring from the corners of your eyes. You couldn't help getting emotional after all of that. Not only was this your first time ever being able to have an orgasm, but the entirety of the situation was starting to set in. You felt amazing, and Eddie did such a great job helping you along the way. There were just some insecurities starting to creep in that you wanted to keep away. He's the only man that's ever made you feel like this, and you hope maybe one day you'd find the courage to meet him in person.
Everything went dead silent for a few minutes except for a few sniffles you hope no one else could hear. Your body glistening with sweat and your thighs sticky with your juices. You're still coming down from your high as your tears slowly fade away.
"You there, sweetheart? You heard him ask from a short distance.
With shakey hands, you pick up the phone to your ear. "Mmhmm...I'm still here." Your voice coming out small.
"You did so good for me." He praised you one last time. "It's okay. I'm right here He reassured.
"How was it." He asked, hoping you had a good time.
"It was overwhelming but amazing." You smile weakly into the phone. You can't see him, but he's smiling back.
"Yea knew I'd be perfect for the job. Haven't had one complaint yet." His cockiness coming back almost immediately. Just as he was about to reach for a pack of cigarettes, he noticed he's way over his scheduled time. His eyes widened in a panic as he locked eyes with the clock above him.
His assistant busts through the door, signaling that the show is now officially over for the night. Eddie startles for a moment before jumping out of his chair and yanks the mic up to his mouth to close out the rest of the segment.
He slams his hands down on the table enthusiastically. "GOOD!..GREAT!-- and that's it for tonight's show everybody thank you all for listening. Thank you to our lovely caller, and if you guys wanna see my band play, come visit us at The Hideout every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Especially you miss caller you can come see me anytime you like."
You listened to him give thanks to everyone when the song called "about a girl" from some band named Nirvana fades away his outro. You flopped back down on your bed. Your body is way too weak to even roll over your legs feeling like jello.
Laying there resisiting the urge to fall asleep, wanting to savor this special moment as long as you could. You thought about what he said before hanging up. You were definitely wanted to see him soon. You had to after this night. You needed to finally meet him and maybe repay the favor.

Tumblr media
Eddie’s morning routine was the same everyday. He woke up at 7:30am, rolling out of bed to put on a clean black t-shirt and the same old dirty pair of blue coveralls. He’d brush his teeth and use the bathroom, spraying on cologne that would evaporate off his body by the time he arrived at the shop.
He had the same breakfast everyday, two pieces of toast, both smeared with a thin layer of butter and a much thicker layer of strawberry jam. Most weeks it was whatever he could find at the grocery store. Other weeks, when he had time, he got the fresh stuff from the farmers market that took place every weekend.
If he remembered, he would pack himself a small lunch that consisted of mostly snacks and whatever else he had laying around. He took advantage of the coffee that was available at the shop, there always being a warm pot of it ready and waiting for him.
After that he would go outside and have a smoke. There was a little black cat that would sleep under his van most nights, running out from under it when he came outside. He would sit with her for a while, petting her and talking to her like she was an old friend.
It was the highlight of his mornings, the one thing he looked forward to before having to go and deal with loud machines and people complaining all day.
To his surprise on Monday at 8:00am when he went outside, there was no sign of his little friend anywhere. He was a little confused, but assumed that she had gone to find shelter given the fact that it had stormed all night.
When Tuesday came around, it was the same thing, she was nowhere in sight. If he was honest he was a little worried something had happened to the feline, rubbing his chin as he looked around a bit for her.
By Wednesday, Eddie’s feelings were hurt. He didn’t fully realise how much the company of the little black cat meant until he didn’t have it anymore. He really hoped nothing had happened to her, the thought upsetting him greatly.
He decided to walk a little down the part of the road he didn’t take often, wondering if she had wandered that way and forgotten where Eddie lived. The gravel road crunches beneath his work boots with each step he takes.
Forest Hills trailer park had looked the same since the day Eddie had moved here when he was around the age of ten.
Rows of trees surrounding the trailers that were there, the same trailers that had been there for years. Eddie knew most of the people living there, if not from talking to them, from the friendly thin lipped smiles he gave them as they crossed paths.
It wasn’t common that anyone from out of town moved into the park. Even more uncommon for people his age to move in.
But, it was beyond rare, never happened rare, that a pretty girl like you moved into a trailer three down from him.
There were seven cats around you, rubbing up on your legs as you crouched down. You had several cans of cat food stacked up beside you, a bowl of dry food, and a bowl of water in front of you.
“Easy everyone.” You tried to calm the crying cats. “I’ve gotta get them open before you can have them!”
You ran your free hand along the fur of a brown and black striped cat before going back to open a can. You poured the contents into two small containers, pushing them a bit away from you as three of the cats went to go and eat it.
You were the most beautiful thing Eddie had seen here in a long time. The blue dress you wore fit you well, running past your knees and stopping above your ankle. Your white sandals looked out of place on the hard chalky gravel of the driveway, much too clean, and much too pretty.
You had a bright smile, one that made him smile just by seeing it. The laugh that left you as you fed another two cats was intoxicating, full of so much love that it made Eddie’s hands feel clammy.
He felt something rubbing against his foot, a low purring noise filling his ear faintly.
“Hey sweet girl.” He knelt down to pet her, letting her rub her face into his palm over and over like she tended to. “Where have you been, huh?”
“Is she yours?” Your soft voice was like music to his ears. You were walking closer to him, the final small container of food in front of you for the little black cat.
He squinted as he looked up at you, the sun glaring in his eyes. He could still see you and you looked even better up close.
“She’s not mine.” He began, standing up tall again. “But she usually hangs out with me every morning…and she hasn’t been around the past few days and I got a little worried.”
“She’s good company.” You smiled again, your face radiating warmth and joy. “I can see why you were worried.”
Eddie would have been nervous if it weren’t for how friendly you were. Normally people were scared off by his appearance, rushing to finish the conversation before it started. Yet, here you were, staring at him sweetly with no intention of running off.
“Thought she might’ve got hit by a car or something.” He shrugged. “Turns out she just found someone prettier to hang out with. Isn’t that right, girl?”
He reached to pet her, nearly missing the way you were smiling widely at his words. Your hands were in front of you, fiddling together in a way that told him you were nervous in what he hoped to be a good way.
“I think they only like me because I feed them.” You laughed. “There was only her and Henry two days ago and now I’ve collected a clowder.”
“Is one of them yours?” He asked in response to the use of a name.
“Oh no.” You shook your hand in front of you. “I’ve just…given them names. They deserve names.”
Oh he was screwed. You were pretty and had a heart of gold and if that wasn’t enough, you fed stray cats and felt that they deserved names.
“That’s nice of you, I like that.” He smiled. “Does she have a name?”
“Of course she has a name.” You said it like his question was silly. “It’s a work in progress, but I’ve settled on Elvira for now.”
“Elvira!” He laughed, arms crossing over his chest as he did. “I love it, I think that’s a great name for her.”
His acceptance of your name choice made your heart beat faster for some reason. He was really handsome, his smile making you warm, his apparent charm making you forget how to talk. Throw in the fact that he seemingly liked you, and you were done for.
“Thank you!” You giggled happily. “I’m Y/n, by the way.” You held your hand out, hoping that no cat food had gotten on it.
“Eddie.” He replied, shaking your hand gently. “It’s sweet of you to look out for them…feed them you know.”
“It’s no big deal.” You shook your head. “They deserve to be cared about just as much as any other animal.”
Eddie was going to be late for work, but he really couldn’t be bothered to care, not when you were being so damn nice to him.
“Do you wanna introduce me to the others?” He asked, to which you happily obliged, letting him meet your furry friends.
Eddie learned that Henry was a bigger grey one with faint white stripes through him. He cried the loudest of all the cats, sitting outside your door waking you each morning. Nebula looked a bit like him with her soft grey and white fur and her wide green eyes.
Winnie was a ragdoll cat with white fluffy fur and a small pink nose. She really liked Eddie, following him around the second he bent down to pet her. The smallest of them all had grey fur and a white chin, you named her Sivy.
The two other boys were nearly identical, with thick brown fur and black stripes running through it. You named them Benjamin and Leo, claiming you thought they sounded nice together.
He thought about your exchange all day at work, about the sheer joy you had introducing him to all the cats. Eddie needed an excuse to talk to you again, a way to make you smile at him again.
Sure, he could say he was coming to see the cats but he didn’t want you to think that was the only reason. All day he pondered on reasons to come and see you, until it hit him at the grocery store.
That’s how Eddie ended up on your driveway again the next morning. He had three of the biggest boxes of wet cat food he could find in his arms, two bags of dry food barely hanging from his fingertips.
You gasped when you saw him, rushing up from where you were feeding them.
“Eddie!” You laughed, taking the two bags from him. “What’s all this?”
“It’s cat food.” He smiled, making you laugh at his bluntness. “You shouldn’t have to deal with buying all this on your own, thought I’d help out.”
“You didn’t have to do all that.” You hummed, placing a hand on his bicep so gently he swore he was seeing stars.
“I wanted to.” He assured you, placing the boxes down. “You deserve some help.”
He turned your words about the cats against you, making it virtually impossible for you to dismiss him. Not that you wanted to.
Eddie quickly developed a new morning routine. One where instead of sitting on his porch with his little friend, he made his way over to your trailer.
He didn’t drink the coffee at work anymore, he had it with you after you both fed the cats.
He thought that he liked his routine the way it was, but you quickly changed his mind.

You have dreaded this day ever since the article was released.
Going back on tour should fill you with joy and excitement but instead it fills you with dread and anxiety. Now that the truth about your dad is out, you can already imagine how awful the following weeks or even months will be. The paparazzis and journalists will be all over the place, throwing awful words and questions at you that you know will upset you even further. You are not ready for that, you don’t think that you will ever be.
You always did everything to keep the truth a secret but now it’s all out in the open.
You don’t even care about the things that they have said about you. They upset you, sure but you can ignore it and move on from that, you don’t let it get to you. Having made up stories about you comes with being in the music industry, especially since you’re the only woman in the band. Lies and rumors will always be created.
After three days of being stuck in Eddie’s trailer, you were now able to go back on the road, since the storm had passed. You loved those three days, you got along so well with Wayne, the man has earned a place in your heart. And Eddie, it was so nice to be around him like that, to fall asleep next to him only to wake up in his arms again.
“It’s gonna be okay, sweetheart.” He whispered to you this morning when you voiced your concern about the tour. “You have me, I won’t leave your side. We’ll get through this together, okay?”
Now you’re here, standing by the tour bus, saying goodbye to Wayne. He wraps his arms around you, pulling you into a warm hug.
“Look after yourself, alright kiddo?”
You chuckle, nodding at his words, “I will.”
“Don’t worry Wayne, she’s in good hands,” Eddie says from behind you.
Wayne squeezes your arms before you pull away, you see the stern look in his eyes as he stares at him, “she better be, Eds.”
On Christmas day, Wayne had confronted you about your relationship with his nephew while Eddie had gone to take a shower.
“What’s going on with you and my boy?” Wayne asked while you were sitting on the couch with drinks in your hands.
“What do you mean?” You asked nervously.
He only chuckled, eyes flickering with amusement, “I may be old but I’m not blind, kid,” he said, “I see the way you look at each other, there’s clearly something. But there’s also pain in your eyes,” he mumbled, pausing to take a deep breath, “he hurt you didn’t he?”
You looked down as your eyes flickered with sadness. You didn’t want to talk badly about Eddie or your relationship to someone that means everything to him.
“It’s alright, you can talk to me, if you want.”
You hesitated for a moment.
“I just– I really love him.”
His eyes softened at your admission, a small smile appearing on his face.
“But he never told me about Chrissy.”
He raised his eyebrows, eyes flickering with shock, he brought his hand up to his face, cupping his cheek as he stared at you, “oh boy..”
“We weren’t together or anything but we were with each other all the time, he told me about you and Steve and his other friends, he told me everything, he just never mentioned her,” you explained, “b-but it’s okay, we talked about it, he opened up to me about their relationship, I guess I understand why he never told me about her..”
Wayne sighed, sympathy crossed his face. With just a single glance at you, he saw the look in your eyes when you looked at Eddie, you are in love with him. He could only imagine how hurt and heartbroken you were.
But he can also see the way Eddie looks at you, he is in love with you.
“I’m so sorry.”
“It’s okay,” you smiled, “we’re okay now.”
Wayne was quiet for a moment, he stared at you deep in thought and then a smile tugged at his lips.
“I hope you know that he cares about you, a lot. I think yesterday proved it, when he stormed in like a mad man, that boy was ready to go through the storm to find you,” he paused, “you make him happy, you know? You always did. He called me a lot and all he ever talked about was you. I hope you can give him a second chance ‘cause if there’s someone who deserves it, it’s him.”
“She will always be,” Eddie smiles as he walks towards his uncle to hug him as well, “I’m gonna miss you so much, old man.”
Wayne chuckles, “you’ll see me on Saturday again.”
Eddie’s eyes light up at his words, “right, you got the VIP tickets and everything,” he chuckles, winking at you, “you can bring a date.”
Wayne scoffs, “stop that.”
You both laugh at him and his eye roll.
“I gotta go or I’ll be late for the interview,” Wayne says as he looks at his watch.
“Oh,” you say excitedly, “good luck! I just know they’re gonna hire you.”
Wayne gives you a smile and Eddie chuckles, “of course they will, I put in a good word for you. The night shifts are soon to be over.”
“Hopefully, I got my fingers crossed.”
After one more hug and one last goodbye, Wayne leaves just as Johnny, Gareth and Jeff arrive.
While the other two still look tired, Gareth is already sporting a big smile and a happy look on his face.
“Alright ladies, are we ready to rock ‘n roll again, or what?” Gareth exclaims excitedly as he walks towards the tour bus with a bag in his hand.
Jeff rolls his eyes, “how many coffees did you have this morning?”
“Just three.”
“It’s 10 am!”
“Exactly.”
You missed their banter and you missed them.
The cold morning air is crisp, much more snow is covering the ground, now it truly looks like a winter wonderland.
You put your hands in your warm pockets, looking around the empty street of Hawkins one last time, hoping to come back. The town has grown on you, something about it made you feel at home. Maybe it was just Eddie and Wayne, your new friends and the safe feeling you got from this place or maybe you just always craved a part of this, peace, safety and a family.
Eddie is watching you with a smile on his face, he knows what you are thinking. He is thinking about it too.
He never really liked this town, well, maybe it was only the people that he didn’t like but you made it more bearable, even when you only spent a few moments together in the whole week you were here. Still, the moments that you did spend together, made him happier.
Maybe one day, he can come back here with you, to stay here.
“You’re not leaving without saying goodbye, are you?”
Both you and Eddie turn around with smiles on your faces. You’ve said goodbye to everyone last night, yet most of Eddie’s and your friends are here now.
Robin is the first to approach you and wrap her arms around you.
“I’m gonna miss you so much, rockstar,” she says as she squeezes you tightly.
You smile as you hug her back, meeting Steve’s eyes, your smile widens when he waves at you.
“I’m gonna miss you too, Robin. You should come to Chicago on Saturday, Steve’s coming too.”
“Oh trust me, I’m gonna be there,” she says, grinning at you as she pulls away, “I can’t wait to see you on the big stage.”
“And what about me? Are you excited to see me?” Eddie asks her as he ruffles Dustin’s hair who slaps his hand away in annoyance.
She scrunches her face up, shrugging, “eh, not really,” she teases.
He squints his eyes at her, “you love me, Robin,” he grins.
“No, I really don’t.”
Shaking your head at them, you walk towards Steve.
“Hi,” you whisper.
“Hi,” he smiles, “you ready to go back on tour?”
You shake your head, “not really but it’s gonna be fine,” you shrug.
He nods, looking over your shoulder and at his friends, he reaches for your hand and pulls you away, leading you behind the tour bus.
He blushes as he runs his fingers through his hair, letting go of your hand, he reaches into the pocket of his coat, “I uh– I got you something.”
You raise your eyebrows, eyes flashing with curiosity.
“I got it a few days ago, before the whole thing at the trailer,” he says quietly, “I know we already exchanged presents and all but I wanted to wait with this.”
“Why?”
He shrugs as he scratches the back of his neck.
Your eyes soften as he hands you the little box, you glance into his eyes before you look down at the present, you open it to find a pretty necklace, a pendant with a bird on it, it’s wings are open. It’s beautiful. You touch it with your fingertips, a soft smile appearing on your face.
“Birds stand for freedom, you know?”
You pick the necklace out of the box and look up at him, smiling, “yeah?”
He nods. “You’re free too, just remember that you can do anything you want, you can always dream bigger, you can go wherever you want, it’s your life, you get to choose what will happen.”
Your chest warms at his words.
“You’re cute, you know that right?” You chuckle.
He shrugs, jutting his lip out as he smirks, “yeah, yeah. I know.”
You can see the blush on his cheeks, the nervous look in his eyes.
“I love it, Steve.”
“You do?” He asks as his eyes lighten up.
You nod, “it’s beautiful, thank you!”
“You’re welcome,” he smiles.
“Help me put it on?” You ask as you hold the necklace out to him. He whispers a small ‘of course’ as he takes it from your hand. You turn around, standing with your back towards him. You move your hair to the side as he moves his arms around you, placing the silver necklace around your neck.
“That better be my lucky charm now,” you joke as you look down at the necklace with a smile on your face. You turn around to face him again.
“It will be,” he winks.
“I’m gonna miss you, Steve.”
His gaze softens at your words.
“I’m gonna miss you too,” he whispers as he opens his arms for you. You step towards him, falling into his embrace, you lay your head on his chest and wrap your arms around him. He holds you tightly and closes his eyes.
He finds himself wishing that he didn’t have to say goodbye. You have grown so much on him, you became a part of his life.
“Maybe I should put you in my suitcase and take you with me,” you joke as you pull away from him.
“I don’t think I’ll fit in there, honey,” he laughs, eyes twinkling as they lock with yours, “you can still hire me as your stylist,” he jokes as he puts his hand on your back, leading you back to the others.
“Yeah, maybe I should,” you chuckle.
“You better come back to Hawkins again, y/n,” Dustin says as he walks towards you with a grin on his face, “we didn’t even get to go to the arcade together!” He frowns.
“Next time, alright?” You smile as you pull the younger boy into a hug, “I’m gonna come visit after the tour and we can go to the arcade together.”
“We better!”
You hug Lucas and Max next, squeezing both of them tightly before you press a kiss to their cheeks, almost bursting into laughter when they turn towards each other with wide eyes and excited looks on their faces. They squeal when you turn away from them, missing the amused look on Robin’s face as she stares at them.
Eddie pulls away from Steve’s hug, saying something to him that you can’t make out. His brown eyes meet yours and he smiles, “ready?”
You nod.
Eddie waits for you to get on the tour bus first but you turn towards Steve one more time. He raises his brows, a smile tugging at his lips as you approach him one more time. Reaching your hands out, you cup his cheeks and stand on your tippy toes, pulling him towards you, you kiss his cheek, leaving a lipstick mark on his skin.
Robin and Dustin chuckle in the back, their laughter only getting louder when they see Eddie’s eye roll.
Steve chuckles as well, blushing at your sweet action.
He cups your cheeks now, giving you a big kiss on the cheek too, just barely missing your lips.
“Alright,” Eddie rolls his eyes, shaking his head, “let’s go, sweetheart.”
You and Steve giggle at each other, he ruffles your hair, “take care of yourself, yeah?”
“I will.”
“I’m always one phone call away,” he whispers.
“I know,” you smile as you squeeze his hand before you step away.
“Goodbye Stevie.”
His eyes flash with bittersweet sadness, though he will see you in a week again, he knows things will be different. This is a different goodbye.
You pick out the necklace from beneath your shirt, reaching for the pendant, you give it a kiss.
“Goodbye Stevie.”
He smiles at your action, eyes following you as you step on the tour bus, his smile falls a little.
“Goodbye honey,” he whispers.
Eddie watches him closely, their conversation is still deep on his mind.
Both men look at each other, a mutual understanding flashing in their eyes.
“Take care of her.”
Eddie nods, “of course.”
-
“You know, I missed this.”
“Hotel rooms?”
Eddie chuckles, stealing a fry off your plate, he dips it in ketchup before eating it, “hotel rooms with you.”
You smile, watching as he licks his lips, missing the ketchup on the corner of his mouth. You reach your hand out towards his face, wiping the condiment off, you look into each other’s eyes as you bring your thumb back to your lips, licking it clean.
A blush takes over his face and he looks down with a smile on his face.
“I missed it too.”
“Yeah? You did?”
You nod, humming at his question.
Neither of you want to think of the few lonely nights you spent without each other after the night in Cincinnati. It feels wrong to even think of the moments you weren’t with each other.
Eddie can look at you with the same happiness in his eyes as before everything. You are here with him, wearing his shirt again. Your hair is still wet from the shower you took earlier, the necklace that Steve got you, hanging around your neck.
The first day back on tour was mostly spent on the tour bus and the hotel. Rob, your tour manager won’t be here until tomorrow morning.
The following days you will be busy with interviews and photoshoots before the concert on Saturday. Eddie isn’t sure if you are ready for it but he will be by your side, every step of the way.
“What’re you thinking about?” You ask as you push your half eaten plate of food away from you, reaching for your coke, you take a sip before placing it back on the tray.
“How do you know I’m thinking about something?” He asks as he eats the rest of his burger.
“You always have that look in your eyes,” you explain, eyes flashing with amusement, “and you’re a nervous eater, you always scarf down the food when you’re deep in thought, which you just did,” you chuckle.
He furrows his brows, chewing his food slowly, he tilts his head.
He steals your coke, drinking half of it which you don’t even seem to mind. You’ll share everything with him.
“Really?”
“Yeah,” you breathe.
“Huh, I never realized,” he chuckles, scratching the back of his neck, “I guess you’re right. I’m always reaching for snacks when I feel stressed but then again, I always think about food.”
“A real taurus,” you chuckle.
He laughs but nods in agreement.
“So… what were you thinking about?” You ask again.
He chews on his bottom lip for a moment, “I don’t wanna ruin the mood right now.”
Eying the concern on his face and the uncertainty in his eyes, you already know what this is about.
“It’s about the article isn’t it?” You ask.
He sighs, nodding.
“What about it?”
“I-I just, I’m worried about you,” he says as he scoots closer to you, reaching his hand out, he grabs it and places it in his, “the journalists, the press… the fucking paparazzis will be everywhere, it’s gonna be brutal, sweetheart.”
Yes, they will be but you will be fine, you have to be.
“It’s okay, Eddie,” you whisper, “I’m not gonna cry, break down or get angry at them, I won’t give them that satisfaction. They asked about my dad before, remember?”
He nods. He remembers that interview, the way you tensed up and looked like you were actually on the verge of a breakdown.
“It was just a rumor, back then no one even knew anything about it,” you shrug, “this can be treated like a rumor as well, some asshole ‘made’ that shit up about my dad. Once they see that it has no effect on me, they’ll leave me alone. There’s no proof, no one was there that night, no one except for me.”
His eyes flash with sadness at the mention of that night. You opened up more about that night, telling him about what you came home to.
“They talked shit about me before, remember that one article they wrote about me?”
He nods, rolling his eyes in anger.
He was so focused on you, he didn’t think about how it would affect him. His first priority is you. He wants to protect you, be there for you and take care of you. But he also knows that the following weeks or even months will be a challenge for him as well, he will deal with anger, too much of it. Anger for all the people that try to harm you in any way.
“Then it’s nothing new,” you shrug, trying to play it cool, “sure, it’ll be a lot and I can already hear the disrespectful questions from all those asshole journalists and paparazzis but fuck it, you either ignore them or you… take it easy.”
“Take it easy?” He scoffs, “how am I supposed to take it easy when they’ll attack you?”
“Eddie, they won’t attack me,” you sigh.
Your gaze softens, your heart flutters in his chest as you look into his eyes. He cares so much about you, it’s something you never realized before Christmas.
“Something that I learned is, you gotta act like you don’t give a fuck about anything, you gotta shrug things off, play it cool, throw sarcastic comments at them, maybe mean ones too, anything to make them leave you alone. My dad taught me that, it always worked out for him. Once they realize that they can’t use a single fucking thing against you, they will get bored.”
Eddie blinks as he stares at you.
“That’s what I’m gonna do and it’s what I want you to do. It’s about taking care of yourself, protecting yourself, Eddie.”
You are strong, so much stronger than him. You allowed yourself to grieve, you allowed yourself to break down and cry and for a moment you were broken, maybe you still are but you got up again.
“Don’t let them see how broken you are, it’s what they want. You put on a mask in front of these fuckers and you only take it off in front of people who truly care about you. You can cry and be angry but not in front of people who wanna see that.”
Eddie remembers the way you put that mask on, after you had just found out about Chrissy, your heart broke, you were angry and sad and yet you managed to hide those feelings in front of strangers. No matter how hurt you were, you were always able to hide it.
“And honestly? I’m more concerned about who spilled.”
“Who knew about your dad?” Eddie asks, furrowing his brows.
You look down, staring at his hand, you play with the new rings on his fingers, the ones that you got for him.
“Sam, Rob and my mom. That’s all, I didn’t even tell my friends,” you mumble, “it obviously wasn’t Sam or Rob, so I guess that just leaves my mom.”
There is something you are not telling him, he can see it on your face and he can hear it in your voice. The room falls silent, the candle light flickers. Eddie rubs circles into your skin, staring at you with curiosity in his eyes.
“Who else knew?”
You hesitate. Your eyes meet his again.
“Sweetheart–”
“Chrissy and Jason knew.”
He draws back a little as his eyes widen, his lips parting in shock.
“W-What?”
You take a deep breath.
“Yeah uh– that night at the hideout, Chrissy followed me out to talk, then Steve and Jason followed us out as well. She just dropped that on me, in front of Steve too, I didn’t want anyone to know, Eddie. At first, I didn’t know how they found out but I kinda figured that my mom told them.”
“What the fuck,” Eddie mumbles as his eyes flash with anger.
“She is the only one who could’ve told them,” you frown, “I called her, she was weird, weirder than usual so… and I honestly don’t think that it was Chrissy, if anything it was her sleazeball boyfriend and her bitchy mom.”
“You don’t think it was Chrissy?” Eddie asks with a confused look on his face, “she had it out for you.”
You sigh, shaking your head, “I talked to her the night before Christmas Eve, I was at the diner and she was there too..”
“Jesus,” he sighs, running his fingers through his hair, he clenches his jaw, eying you in concern. He can already imagine what kind of things she has said to you, “did she–”
“She was.. nice,” you mumble, “we talked normally. I don’t think it was her, I have a feeling that it wasn’t.”
Eddie is still suspicious but he doesn’t say anything.
“Her mom is religious, right?”
Eddie nods, “yeah, Jason too,” he rolls his eyes.
You chuckle, shaking your head, “trust me, it was them. I don’t know why they would care and I have no fucking clue how they found my mom but they must have given her a lot of money.”
“Wait what?”
“Oh, all she cares about is money, Eddie. You pay her a good amount and she’ll tell you anything you wanna know.”
Eddie raises his brows, a sigh leaving his lips as he shakes his head. He squeezes your hand, “I’m so sorry.”
“It’s okay, I-I just wanna move on from this, you know?”
He nods.
“Okay,” he whispers, “but why didn’t you tell me about Jason and Chrissy’s mom?”
“I didn’t want you to get into a fight with that asshole, it’s whatever. In the end it doesn’t even matter who sold that fucking story, it won’t be the first scandalous article, there will be many more.”
He would have definitely gotten into a fight with Jason and cuss the old Cunningham witch out, god knows how many times he had done it before when she would comment on Chrissy’s weight, not only was she horrible to her own daughter, now she also managed to find a way to hurt you, you who had absolutely nothing to do with her.
“I wanna beat his face in and put nair in her shampoo,” he grumbles as his eyes darken.
Eddie was always protective of the people he loves, of his friends and family but he had never felt this kind of protective before.
You snort at his words.
“I’m serious!”
“Okay,” you giggle, “that witch is gonna lose her hair at some point, karma will get her. Same with Jason, he’ll get what he deserves.”
“But still, I wanna hurt him.”
“You already did.”
“That punch wasn’t enough.”
“I’m sure an asshole like him will get many more punches in his lifetime.”
“He better.”
Sighing, you let go of his hand, taking the food tray, you place it on the ground before you lay down, placing your feet on the soft cushions and your hand on your stomach.
Eddie looks at you, smile tugging at his lips.
You reach for the necklace beneath your shirt and curiosity sparks inside of him.
He lays down next to you, placing his elbow on the soft pillow, he cups his cheek as he stares down at you.
“Can I ask you something?”
You turn to look at him, rolling over on your side so you can face him.
“How do you really feel about Steve?” He asks, “I-I’m not angry or jealous, just curious. I can tell that he means something to you,” he says, reaching for the necklace he got you.
You hold your finger to your lips as you think about his questions.
Eddie waits patiently.
“Why are you asking me this?”
“I just, I see the way you’re around him,” he explains, “you’re comfortable with him, it’s different than with others, even your friends.”
“I just really like him. He is kind of amazing.”
“Kind of?” He smiles.
“Very amazing,” you chuckle, rolling your eyes, “you’re still my favorite.”
His smile widens, heart skipping a beat. You put your hand on his arm, squeezing it.
“But how do you feel about him, Eddie?”
He draws his brows together as he gives you a questioning look. It makes you giggle. You were surprised about the kiss they had shared that one night, it didn’t exactly seem like it was their first kiss.
“How many times have you kissed him before?”
“Oh,” Eddie breathes, chuckling. His cheeks grow red.
“Or did you do…. more?”
He shakes his head, “no, sweetheart. It was just a few kisses.”
“A few kisses?” You chuckle.
He nods as his eyes fall on the necklace that he is still holding between his fingers, he scoots closer to you.
“Yeah, a few drunken kisses,” he snorts.
“That’s all?”
“That’s all.”
“You never wanted to go further than that?”
“I mean, back then I did,” he admits shyly.
“Oh my god,” you exclaim, your eyes flash with excitement at this new revelation, you push him back and place your hands on his chest, “tell me everything.”
He laughs at your curiosity, not wasting a moment to put his hands on your back.
“I was kinda into him but wasn’t sure if he’d be open for more than just a few kisses, you know?”
You nod.
“So I never tried,” he shrugs, “and then Chrissy asked me out so I never really thought about it again.”
“Oh,” you pout.
He chuckles, placing his hand under your chin, “what’s that pout for, sweetheart?”
“I think you and Steve would’ve been cute together,” you say, giggling.
“Shut up,” he laughs, rolling his eyes at you.
“You know who would be cute together?”
You shake your head, placing your chin on his chest, you brush your fingers through his curls, making him smile.
“You and I, we’d be cute together,” he smiles. His eyes are soft, filled with nothing but adoration and love.
Warmth rushes through your chest a smile tugs at your lips but you pretend to be skeptical, “hmm… you really think so?”
He playfully glares at you, “of course!”
“But I wouldn’t stand a chance if you were dating Steve,” you say, pretending to be jealous.
He almost laughs, shaking his head at you.
“Baby, we’re both obsessed with you,” he chuckles as he digs his fingers into your sides, tickling you.
“Eddie!” You laugh, pushing his hands away.
“If I was dating Steve and you came along, we’d both fall for you and just date you both.”
Your lips part in surprise, your eyes widen, “oh?”
He chuckles at the expression on your face.
“And what if I didn’t want to have two boyfriends?”
“But we’d treat you like a queen. You’d be the happiest girl in the world.”
You chuckle, blushing at his words.
“Hmm, maybe two boyfriends aren’t too bad,” you whisper, “should we call Steve?”
“No!”
You giggle when he wraps his arms around you and flips you over.
“No? I thought I could have two boyfriends.”
“I never said that,” he points out, giving you a stern look, “that would’ve happened if I dated Steve in the past. You are the only one that I need and I’m the only one that you need.”
Your heart flutters and so does his when you cup his cheek.
“You do have a soft spot for Steve though,” you whisper.
It’s the truth. Out of all his friends, Steve was always his closest one, even though there’s people in his life that he had known much longer. Steve was different, you found a place in his heart. Eddie hated to admit it but he did.
He was sick with jealousy when you had been with him but he always felt relieved that it wasn’t another man. It was just Steve. He always trusted him and he knew that you were safe with him.
“As do you.”
Yes.
Maybe the both of you have a bit of a soft spot for the handsome dork, he grew on you and a part of you hated the thought of him being all alone again. A part of you feels guilty, you gave him something, only to take it away again.
“I feel like an asshole.”
“What?”
His eyes are filled with guilt as he looks up at the ceiling.
“The night at the trailer, Steve and I got into a fight… kinda.”
“What? Why?”
“He admitted that he likes you. I asked him if he loves you but he didn’t say anything. He looked pretty upset about the fact that you like.. me.”
You talked about this with Steve. He told you that he has no feelings for you, that it was nothing but an attachment he had formed.
“I got angry and we started saying stuff to each other, then it all led to that moment.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah,” he sighs, “I feel bad, I-I didn’t want to accept that he may have feelings for you, I was scared that I would lose you because of it but when he gave you that necklace, I felt bad for him.”
Your eyes soften and you frown at his words, “w-why?”
“Because he didn’t want to let you go and yeah, maybe it’s just a friend not wanting to let go of someone that means the world to them and I know what it’s like to watch you leave, I know what he feels like. Losing you is the most painful thing, sweetheart.”
“I don’t ever wanna lose you,” he whispers as he presses a gentle kiss to your knuckles, “even if you decide to leave me in the end, I will never leave you, no matter what.”
Tears well up in your eyes.
Eddie doesn’t understand what weight his words hold. He doesn’t know that this small moment, these simple words might have saved you.
You know that he will stand by your side.
And as long as you have him, you know that you will be alright.
-
Cruel words and weird stares were expected when you left the hotel the next day, you successfully managed to ignore them though. You don’t let these things get to you. You’ve become an expert at building walls up around you, ones that no one can tear down, least of all strangers who have no relations to you.
You make it through the interview, you manage to get through the photoshooting and even the talk show that the band has been invited to.
The journalists weren’t the nicest people to deal with, they of course used the article as an excuse to ask you questions that you have felt uncomfortable to answer but as you have told Eddie, you put on a fake smile and acted as though it had absolutely no effect on you.
You noticed the concerned glances of your friends, Jeff asked you how you were doing multiple times, Gareth tried to lighten your mood while Rob and Johnny tried to distract you by talking about the upcoming concert.
Eddie held your hand through it all, comforting you with his touches and encouraging smiles.
You appreciate them but most of all him.
You tried to think of anything but the mess that you had gotten in, which was quite the challenge considering that people brought it up, constantly.
Friday rolled around and you were happy to be back on stage for rehearsals. You haven’t sung since the night at the hideout and you missed it.
You and Eddie tried to keep your touches to a minimum but it was difficult to do so, you just couldn’t stay away from him and neither could he. It was nice to hold his hand again and sing with him.
You have gotten to the venue in the morning, a few hours have passed since then and you have decided to take a break.
With a cup of coffee in your hand, you sit down on the ground and flip through the pages in your notebook.
The guys went out to eat, you didn’t feel like leaving the venue, not when you know that there’s a bunch of people waiting out there for you. Eddie had wanted to stay back but you know that he hasn’t eaten anything since last night so you had to convince him to get food with the others.
He only begrudgingly agreed, not wanting to leave you alone but eventually he caved, especially when his stomach grumbled. He promised to get you something as well before he left.
You hear heavy footsteps and a loud sigh, you don’t have to look behind you to see who it is.
“What’re you doing, kid?” Rob asks as he sits down across from you, a cup of coffee in one hand and a cigarette in his other.
“Just going through a new song text that I wrote.”
“Oh, you wrote a new one?” He asks with a smile on his face.
“Yes, started working on it a while back, do you wanna read it?”
“Sure.”
You turn your notebook around and slide it towards him. “I thought that this could be on the next album.”
He raises his brow and smiles, “next album, huh?”
You nod, “yeah, I mean I hope we can make one.”
“With the way things are going, I can’t see why not,” he shrugs before he breaks eye contact, placing his mug on the floor, he reaches for the notebook. Placing his cigarette between his lips, he squints his eyes as he starts to read.
You shake your head at the expression on his face, that man refuses to get himself some reading glasses.
You take a sip of your warm coffee and look around the empty room, the one that will be filled with thousands of people tomorrow night.
“Sounds angry,” he chuckles, “and very emotional.”
“I was very angry and emotional,” you nod, laughing.
“I can tell.”
“Whenever I’m angry or sad, I get inspired…. Is that weird?”
He smiles as he shakes his head slowly, “no, kid. It’s not weird, it’s your way of dealing with it. Which is good because at least there’s a great outcome from it. Other’s turn to other things when they are in pain.”
You swallow, nodding at his words.
“Yeah, drugs, alcohol and sex.”
His eyes widen as he nods in agreement, “that’s right. I’ve been there myself, it’s not good. It feels good in the moment but you always come back from it, you sober up and when you do, you feel like absolute shit so you drown yourself in it again and again. You don’t want to but you do, despite knowing how fucking awful it is. You want to stop but the moment you’re in it, it just seems impossible and the longer you do it, you get more and more lost.”
“Yeah,” you breathe, nodding, “you lose your way out.”
“You really do. That’s why you should never even start with it because the moment you do, all those fuckers out there,” he says, pointing into a random direction, his cigarette still between his fingers, “the ones who are waiting for your downfall, they all fucking win. Everything they said about you, becomes true and you don’t want that. You gotta do what’s best for you, you gotta be better and stronger than them.”
“But what if you realize that you are not strong?”
“Then you gotta find that strength, you look for the light and hold on to that. Don’t succumb to darkness.”
Rob’s words echo in your mind for the rest of the day, playing on repeat.
You found your light and you will hold onto that, no matter what.
-
“Are you ready?” Gareth grins at you, wiggling his brows.
“Yeah, I’m ready,” you chuckle, giving him a confused look, “why are you acting so suspicious?”
“Me, suspicious?” He gasps, shaking his head, “why would I act suspicious?”
“I don’t know, you tell me.”
You look behind his shoulder, smiling at Steve who looks away from Eddie, his eyes lock with yours and he smiles.
Robin is watching the opening act with a look of awe in her eyes, Wayne next to her.
The backstage crew is rushing around, preparing for your concert.
“Can you believe that all these people came here for you?”
You furrow your brows, laughing, “they came for us,” you mumble.
“No, they came for you.”
He looks behind you with a smirk on his face. You’re just about to turn around to see what he is looking at when a pair of hands cover your eyes.
“Guess who.”
You gasp at the sound of her voice, almost squealing in excitement, you grab her hands and turn around.
“Jamie?” You exclaim as you meet the eyes of your best friend.
She grins at you, happiness flashing in her eyes, she pulls you into a tight hug.
“I missed you so much.”
You close your eyes, blinking away the happy tears, you squeeze her tightly.
“I missed you too, Jaims.”
“Alright, move over, Jamie. It’s my time.”
Your eyes snap open and you just now notice the other two girls. Frankie and Wren rush towards you with excited squeals. They both wrap their arms around you, pulling you into a group hug.
You giggle as Frankie presses her lips to your cheek, “I missed you so much, babe!”
“How?” You ask as you look at your friends in surprise.
Jeff comes up behind Wren, pulling your friend into his arms, “we thought you could use some time with your friends,” he grins at you.
“Wait,” you look at him with a smile on your face before you turn to Gareth, “you guys planned this?”
“It was Eddie’s idea,” he shrugs, “I almost blurted it out the other day though.”
Your gaze softens, heart warming. You turn around, looking at Eddie who is already staring at you with a smile on his face.
‘Thank you,’ you mouth to him.
“Of course, you can never keep your mouth shut,” Jamie snorts at him.
“Hey! I did keep my mouth shut!”
You shake your head, turning back to your friends, you stare at them for a moment. It’s been months since you had last seen them. Wren’s hair is longer than it was before, a happy smile is lingering on her face as she hugs Jeff.
“How are you guys?”
“Oh, Wren and I are fine,” Jamie says to you before she looks at Frankie who has that flicker in her eyes, “this one though, crazy in love.”
Your eyes widen, you look her up and down, not only is she blushing like crazy, there’s also something on her hand that you haven’t seen before.
“I-Is that an engagement ring?” You gape at her, reaching for her hand to stare at it.
“Yes,” she squeals.
“Wow, I– where’s this coming from?” You laugh, eying the beautiful ring, “who’s that lucky guy?”
She opens her mouth to speak but is quickly cut off by Wren, “before she rambles your ear off, his name is Thomas, he is rich and crazy obsessed with her.”
“And he has a yacht!” Frankie exclaims with a happy smile on her face.
You pull her into another hug, “congrats, you always wanted a yacht,” you giggle.
“Hi guys.”
For a moment, your friends all fall silent at the sound of Eddie’s voice, it almost makes you nervous that they know about what happened. You didn’t tell them, you didn’t want to, especially not over the phone.
Eddie places his hand on your back, waving at them awkwardly.
They all greet him after a moment, giving him small smiles. It makes you relax a little but then they lay their eyes on Steve, who stands on the other side of you.
You introduce them to him, your friends eye him in curiosity, you can already hear the questions coming the moment they get you alone again.
They share teasing grins when they notice how both men look at you. Their grins only get bigger when you call Steve ‘Stevie’.
Jeff excuses himself, pulling Wren along with him. You smirk to yourself when you see them walking into one of the backstage rooms.
Gareth walks off as well as he mumbles something under his breath, leaving you standing here with two men on both your sides and your very curious best friends.
Jamie falls into a conversation with Eddie and Steve but quickly finds something more entertaining behind you, you follow her gaze. Robin.
She is staring at Robin.
A mischievous smile appears on your face, the blush on her face deepens when Robin turns around, meeting your friend’s eyes. Jamie was the one who teased you the most when she found out about your feelings for Eddie, you will enjoy this.
“So which one of them are you dating right now?” Frankie whispers into your ear after pulling you away from the group.
“W-What?” You chuckle.
She grins, playing with her red hair as she leans closer to you, “are you dating both?” She asks, “I know you always loved those love triangle books.”
“Oh my god,” you groan.
She turns to look at them, catching the look on Steve’s face as he stares at Eddie.
“Oh uh, babes, I think he has a crush on your man.”
You follow her gaze to see Steve nodding along to Eddie’s words, smiling at him.
You almost burst into laughter.
“Wait no–” she cuts herself off, Steve looks at you for a brief moment, “wait…”
“What?” You chuckle.
Her eyes are squinted, she looks at them and then at you, eyes moving back and forth, “did you…” Her eyes widen and she gasps before she even finishes her questions, before you even say anything, “you did, didn’t you!”
“Did what?” You laugh, acting clueless but the flustered look on your face and the nervous smile gives it away.
“You know what,” she wiggles her brows.
“No…” You say in a hushed whisper, hoping that no one can hear you or see the look on your face, “we didn’t–”
“Yes you did, you naughty girl,” she smirks.
“I-It wasn’t, we didn’t.. not actually,” you stutter, rolling your eyes as you cross your arms over your chest.
“Not actually?” She asks with wide eyes, “but you did something.”
“It was just… a little something.” Not an actual threesome, you think to yourself.
“A little something, huh?” She grins.
Shaking your head, you roll your eyes playfully.
“Nothing too crazy.”
“How did that even happen?” She gasps, giggling like a schoolgirl, “I thought you and Eddie were dating all this time.”
“We weren’t– aren’t dating.”
She draws back, scrunching her face up, “you’re kidding right?”
You shake your head, “nope.”
“I’m not buying that, that man,” she points to Eddie who turns to look at you with a smile on his face, “he is head over heels for you.” And then her eyes fall on Steve, “and that one too…. maybe, I’m not sure yet.”
You shake your head, sighing.
“Who’s head over heels for who?” Wren whispers in your ear as she sneaks up behind you.
“Eddie and his boyfriend.”
Wren giggles and you roll your eyes with a smile on your face.
“Oh my god,” Wren laughs, “look at you, you became a rockstar and got yourself two boyfriends, have you adopted any kids yet?” She jokes.
You chuckle, “should I?”
“Yeah, you should make them both daddies.”
“Jesus Christ…” you groan.
“Who’s gonna be your new year’s kiss tonight? Which one is getting the first smooch?”
They both giggle at the flustered expression on your face, teasing you with their eyes when both men walk up to you again, standing on both sides of you like before.
“You ready to go on stage, sweetheart?” Eddie smiles excitedly as he reaches for your hand.
You nod, ignoring the giggles of your friends.
“Good luck, honey.”
They whisper behind your back, mimicking their pet names for you before they giggle again.
You already know, their teasing will be never ending and this night will be a long one.

Before Eddie, you have never cried as much as you did in the past few weeks, in fact, you don’t remember when you cried the last time before you met him. You always considered yourself emotionally stable and strong, maybe it was wishful thinking or maybe it was the actual truth, maybe the emotional stability only lasted for a while or maybe it was never there and you just pretended that you were something that you were not.
You tried to stay strong for yourself. You tried to keep the tears from falling but you couldn’t.
So much has happened. Every time you thought that it couldn’t get worse, it got so much worse.
The moment you laid your eyes on that article, you knew your peace was over. The life you knew was over. Everyone knows what happened to your dad and now everyone thinks that you are just the same.
A wreck.
A drug addict, an alcoholic, a careless girl who ends up tangled in the sheets with just about anyone.
Whoever said those horrible things about you?
“It’s alright, darling,” Wayne says as he rubs your back, letting you cry in his arms, “let it all out, I’m here.”
You sniffle, trying not to sob, it’s humiliating enough to be seen like this, you hate crying in front of other people.
You hear the passing cars, the bell over the door in the gas station, the whirring sound of the vending machine next to the telephone booth and Wayne’s soothing voice.
His embrace is just as comforting as Eddie’s, he hugs you in a similar way he does. His arms are wrapped around you protectively and he holds you for as long as you need him to.
Your tears keep falling as you cry.
As though the pain of losing your dad was not bad enough, you have been hit by more and more. Now you begin to understand what he had felt like.
Your shoulders are shaking and your tears are staining his jacket, if he notices, he doesn’t seem to mind.
Once your sniffles quiet down and your tears fall less, you slowly pull away from his embrace. Wiping your tears, you look down at the black stains on your hand. You must look like a racoon right now.
Your bottom lip is quivering, though you are not sure whether it’s from the cold or the sob that tries to crawl up inside of you. You blink, trying to keep the tears away that are burning in the back of your eyes. You raise your head slowly, looking at his jacket that is stained with tears and mascara stains.
“I-I’m sorry, I ruined your jacket,” you mumble.
Wayne places his hand on your shoulder, eying you with concern in his eyes.
“It’s not ruined, it’s alright,” he says with a sad smile, “do you want to talk about what happened?” He asks, “you don’t have to but I’m here if you need someone to listen,” he adds.
You feel guilty and bad. Not wanting to be a burden, you go to shake your head but instead you look down at the magazine. Your chest feels burdened by pain.
Wayne follows your gaze, he looks down at the magazine. You hand it over to him, he glances at you one more time before he takes it from your hand. His brows are furrowed as he looks down, it takes him a moment to comprehend the words on the article before his eyes widen and a shocked look takes over his face.
You dig your nails into your palms and cross your arms over your chest, looking away, you bite your lip as you feel yourself shivering. The cold wind bites your skin harshly and by the look of the darkened sky, you can tell that the weather is about to get worse.
“Jesus christ,” Wayne mumbles.
“I-It’s uh… it’s the truth,” you say, no longer feeling the need to lie, “what they say about him.”
He looks at you with sorrow and sadness in his eyes. There is pain behind your eyes, he had seen it the first time he met you but there is so much more than that now, there is heartbreak and fear.
“I’m so sorry, sweetheart,” he says, not knowing how to comfort you. Wayne was never very talkative, he cannot comfort you with words but by the look on your face, he can tell that your mind is somewhere else anyways, you don’t need words, you need to feel comfort.
This day is horrible enough for you already but it had gotten so much more awful.
“I-I didn’t want anyone to know,” you whisper, “they weren’t supposed to remember him like this.”
“Hey, people loved him, they still will,” he says softly.
You try to give him a smile but you can only imagine how miserable it looks.
The wind picks up and the snowflakes hit your cold skin harshly.
“I-I should go,” you mumble, feeling guilty for burdening him this way.
“You think I’ll let you stay at the motel by yourself today?”
“It’s okay, really.”
“No, no one should spend Christmas by themselves, least of all you, kid. Come on, you can stay with us, Eddie will be happy to see you.”
You shake your head, digging your hands into the pockets of your jacket, “I don’t want to intrude.” Eddie didn’t invite you, he doesn’t want you around.
“Nonsense,” he sighs, waving his hand, “been meaning to ask if you want to spend Christmas with us, now come on.”
You can’t say no to him, not when he insists for you to spend the day with them. Wayne leads you to his truck and as you settle in the passenger seat and take the magazine back, your tears begin to fall again when you look at the picture of your dad.
Wayne doesn’t hesitate to hand you the clean napkins that he grabbed too many of when he and Eddie got burgers this week before his shift. You thank him as you reach for one, wiping away the tears.
“I’m sorry.”
“What are you apologizing for?” He asks in confusion.
“I’m a mess.”
He chuckles sadly, the look in his eyes is one of empathy. He pats your back, “aren’t we all a bit of a mess?”
A breathy chuckle falls from your lips, you nod in agreement.
“Can you stop by the motel?” You ask after a few minutes of silence, “I got something for Eddie.”
“Of course.”
-
“Henry Creel?”
“Yeah.”
“Dude, that guy is like.. scary,” Gareth mumbles.
“Yeah well, according to her, Henry is the nicest guy ever,” Eddie mumbles in annoyance as he leans back on the soft couch in Gareth’s basement, the one they have started practicing in before they moved it to the garage when Corroded Coffin became more serious.
“She has an interesting taste in men,” Gareth says, “first we got you, a nerdy rockstar, then we got Steve, the rich, handsome babysitter and then we got Creel, scary, creepy Creel.”
“He is not her type, dude!” Eddie says as he straightens up, rolling his eyes at his friend, “they were just talking.”
The thought of you flirting with another man, being into someone other than him and well, Steve, makes him feel more jealous than before.
“Yeah, I have no doubt that they were flirting, that guy might be a creep but I heard that he is very charming with the ladies.”
Eddie scrunches his face up, “what?”
“Do you remember Rose?”
“The girl you had a crush on?”
“Yeah–”
“The one you threw up on, at your graduation party?”
Gareth rolls his eyes but he snorts, “yeah, that one.”
Eddie barks out a laugh, burying his face in his hand as he thinks back to that night.
“You threw up all over her ugly shoes–”
“Dude, shut up! I’m trying to tell you a story,” he exclaims as he throws one of the pillows at him. Eddie dodges it, laughing.
“Alright, alright, keep going.”
Gareth nods, “Rose has a sister named Daisy–”
“Rose has a sister named Daisy? Who calls both of their kids after flowers?” Eddie asks in confusion.
Gareth glares at him for interrupting him yet again. Eddie holds his hands up in surrender, shutting his mouth, he leans back again, “continue.”
“Thanks,” Gareth sighs, shaking his head, “well, Daisy and Henry had a fling, apparently he’s super charming and sweet, but that’s probably an act,” he shrugs, “oh and she said she has a big dick.”
Eddie raises his brows in surprise, “so he charms the ladies with his big dick?”
“Yeah, kinda like Harrington. Only he is a princess compared to Creel, that guy is still a creep.”
Eddie snorts at that.
“Well, he didn’t charm my girl,” Eddie mumbles.
“Oh, your girl?” Gareth nods with a teasing look in his eyes.
“Yeah.”
You are his girl, no matter what.
When he found you with Henry last night, he felt sick with worry, especially when he saw the state you were in. No matter how much alcohol you have had before, he had never seen you like that. Your pupils were widened and you looked like a mess, your dizziness only added to his worry.
For a moment he feared that he had put something in your drink but you sobered up a little when he brought you back to the motel.
Gareth opens his mouth to speak but gets interrupted when the door is slammed open and someone rushes down the stairs, both men straighten up when they meet Jeff’s shocked expression.
“Have you seen this?” He asks in panic.
Eddie gets up, a frown making it’s way on his face.
“Wren called me, she was crying on the phone because she couldn’t reach her, I went to check up on her but she wasn’t there.”
Eddie furrows his brows as he stares at his friend in confusion, “Jeff, w-what are you talking about?”
Jeff says your name and hands Eddie the magazine that he was holding.
“Y/n?” He mumbles as he feels an instant worry washing over him. Eddie looks down, his eyes fall on the cover of the magazine. His breath hitches in his throat and his brown eyes widen with shock. Immediately, he flips to the page, finding pictures of you and your parents on both sides.
“What the..” His words get caught in his throat and a sick feeling settles in the pit of his stomach.
An insider claiming, “She is destructive when she’s drunk or high, sleeping with whoever comes her way and snorting whatever comes up in her hands. It’s not surprising, given she’s the one who found her father dead on the ground with heroin in his arm, only time will tell if she breaks the curse.”
“What the fuck,” Gareth mumbles as he comes up beside Eddie to read the article.
Eddie feels like throwing up, his face is so pale, Jeff worries that he might just faint.
“That’s bullshit!” Gareth mutters, “she doesn’t do that!”
“Yeah well, an insider made all that shit up for whatever reason,” Jeff mumbles.
Yeah, Eddie knows that you are not like that, that you don’t do any of those things but what about the part with your dad? What about him? Is that the truth? Is that why you reacted the way you did when Chrissy claimed that he uses drugs? Is that why you were so scared and worried? Because you feared to lose him the way you lost your dad?
“Oh god,” Eddie whispers, holding his hand over his heart, he finds it racing. He is worried about you.
“I gotta see her,” he says.
Both Gareth and Jeff can see the fear in his eyes, the worry and the sickness on his face.
“She’s not at the motel.”
“M-Maybe she’s with Steve,” Eddie mumbles and for the first time, he actually hopes that you are with him.
“Gareth! There’s someone on the phone for you!” His mother yells from upstairs.
“Alright mom!”
Eddie watches his friend picking up the receiver of the phone he always kept in the basement. He stares at him, watching him talk to whoever it is on the line, he only watches his lips move, no sound reaches him.
Jeff steps closer to him, placing a hand on his shoulder, he asks him if he is okay. Eddie only nods, without registering his words.
“Eddie,” Gareth calls for him, holding the receiver out to him, “it’s Sam, he wants to talk to you.”
Nodding, he walks over to Gareth and grabs the receiver. Greeting the man with a shaky voice.
“Please tell me that you know where she is. I’ve been trying to reach her phone at the motel all morning but she is not picking up.”
Eddie knows that Sam cares about you, taking on the father role of your dad after he had passed. His voice is filled with worry.
“I-I don’t know where she is, I’m sorry,” he mumbles, “I saw her last night.”
“Did you see the article?”
“Yes, is it true?” Eddie asks anxiously, “the things they said about her dad?”
“Yes.” Sam answers in his hesitation.
Eddie takes in a sharp breath, closing his eyes, he puts his hand on his forehead. His heart breaks for you. You loved your dad, finding him like this must have been a nightmare, he can only imagine what you have felt like.
“I have to find her–”
“Is she using again?”
Eddie’s whole body tenses up, he opens his eyes, staring at his reflection in the small mirror on the wall, all color fades from his face, his heart drops to his stomach.
Is she using again?
Is she using again?
“W-What?” He manages to croak out.
“Is she using drugs again?”
“What do you mean?” Eddie asks with his wavering voice. “S-She’s not, she’s not using anything, Sam. We’re together all the time, she barely even drinks. W-what do you mean again?”
Sam hesitates, he sighs. Eddie knows that he won’t get any answers but once again, he is sick with worry.
“Do me a favor, find her please and tell her to give me a call.”
The line gone’s dead and Eddie continues to stare at himself in the mirror. Confused and shocked, he keeps holding the receiver even after Sam hung up the phone. He needs to find you. He needs to know what Sam meant by that.
Slamming the receiver in it’s place, he picks up his jacket and puts it on hastily and reaches for the magazine again.
“I’m gonna call you later,” he mumbles before he rushes up the stairs and out of the house, determined to find you.
His heart is racing, it’s filled with fear. Eddie hasn’t felt this anxious in a long time and it only gets worse when he can’t find you anywhere.
Everything begins to make sense when Eddie remembers how worried Sam was before you left for tour.
'Kid reminds me too much of her dad.'
Now he understands it, his worry. Your reactions whenever it came to the topic of drugs.
-
It feels weird to be back at the trailer, memories of the night with Eddie and Steve flood your mind but you quickly push the thoughts away, not wanting to think of that right now.
You sit by the small table, a blanket around your shoulder to warm you up from the cold. Your hands are wrapped around the warm mug that Wayne handed you earlier. The radio is on, some Christmas song is playing. You look out the window, watching the snow fall harder than before. The dark clouds make everything appear like it’s early in the evening, a few lights around the trailer are on.
Wayne made sure that you are alright, he showed you to the bathroom so you could freshen up after you cried off all the mascara. He offered to make you lunch but you settled for coffee, not feeling very hungry. The hangover was long forgotten, the magazine is what’s making you feel sick, right now.
“Is this what a snowstorm looks like?” You ask, breaking the silence between you.
Wayne looks up from the newspaper, glancing at you before he looks out the window, “no, you’ll see an actual snowstorm later. There was a blizzard warning, we’ll probably be snowed in till monday again, it happened last year too.”
“I should probably go then,” you say, not wanting to intrude and stay here for longer than necessary. You don’t want to make him or Eddie uncomfortable.
Wayne gives you a disapproving look, shaking his head.
“You’re crazy if you think I’ll let you out there right now.”
“But–”
“You won’t have any food there and I’m pretty sure the heaters will stop working at that shitty motel.”
“I’m not sure if Eddie wants me here,” you mumble.
Wayne looks dumbstruck at your words, he takes his reading glasses off, placing them on the table, he leans back in his chair and stares at you, curiosity swimming in his eyes.
Before he can ask you the question he has been meaning to ask, the door is slammed open and a scared looking Eddie rushes in. His eyes are glassy, his brows are knitted together, his shaky voice calls out to his uncle. He closes the door behind him, having yet to notice you sitting there.
You and Wayne turn to look at him, both staring at him with raised brows.
“Wayne, I need to– she’s gone and I don’t know, I–” his words get caught in his throat and his eyes widen when he finally sees you. A mix of emotions takes hold of him. Relief, sadness and anger?
He whispers your name, tears blurring his vision.
You place the mug on the table, letting the blanket fall to the chair as you rise to your feet. An instant wave of comfort and calmness wash over you when you lock eyes with him.
Eddie rushes towards you, not bothering to take his snowy boots or jacket off first. He doesn’t hesitate to wrap your arms around you and pull you into his arms. Almost all the tension disappears the moment he feels your warm body in his. He closes his eyes and hugs you tightly.
Tears swim in your eyes the moment you feel yourself relaxing into his arms.
You feel safe and protected.
“I’m so sorry, sweetheart,” he whispers, kissing the top of your head. “I’m so so sorry.”
He hears your quiet sniffle and his heart breaks. If he could take your pain, he would.
“I’m here.”
And that’s all that matters to you. Eddie. He is all that matters to you.
Wayne watches the two of you. A moment so bittersweet it makes his heart ache. Had this been a happy moment, he could smile but knowing how much pain you are both in, fills him with pain too.
Eddie holds you for a moment, giving you the reassurance that you need, telling you that he is here for you, no matter what.
“I need to talk to you,” he says. Kicking his shoes and jacket off, he leads you into his room, closing the door behind him, he almost forgets what he wanted to ask you in the first place when he sees you in his room for the first time.
Your eyes are puffy, red rimmed and glassy. You look small and vulnerable. It hurts him to see you like this. He can tell that your mind is running wild and by the way you are looking at him with uncertainty and fear in your beautiful eyes, he already knows that you think you are not welcome here.
You wrap your arms around yourself, your hands are shaky and you dig your nails into your waist as you look up at him like a child that is about to get scolded. Gone is the wild girl that he had gotten to know, the fearless and confident young woman that seemed unreachable. All he sees is a heartbroken girl that wanted nothing but to be loved.
God, how could he ever hurt you?
“I-I’m sorry, I didn’t want to ruin your Christmas. I’m gonna leave, you don’t–”
“Sweetheart,” Eddie frowns. He steps in front of you, cupping your cheeks, he tucks your hair behind your ear, he caresses your cheek softly.
“Shut up,” he whispers, “I spent the past two hours searching for you. What makes you think that I don’t want you here?”
You shrug.
“I want you here, I wanted you to spend Christmas with us, I wanted to ask you last night but you disappeared and then, well you know.”
“You want me here?” You ask softly.
“Yeah, of course.”
“You saw it?” You ask with a voice so small, it’s almost unrecognizable.
He nods.
“I was looking for you everywhere, you had me worried sick, sweetheart,” he whispers.
He went to Steve first, worrying him too when he found out about the magazine and you missing. He makes a mental note to give him a call later. He called Robin and then Nancy from the telephone booth at the gas station. He stopped by the hideout and at lovers lake, you were nowhere. For a moment he feared that you had gone to Henry Creel for something, he knows that he sells weed and other things.
The last place he expected to find you was his trailer but he is so relieved.
“I’m so sorry, baby,” he whispers, “about your dad, about this whole thing.”
Your bottom lip quivers and he can tell that you are trying not to cry.
“I-It’s okay.”
“No it’s not, it’s not okay. It’s fucked up, that’s what it is. I’m gonna kill the asshole that wrote this–”
“Eddie,” you sigh.
“You gotta call Sam, he is worried about you.”
Oh.
Fear crosses your eyes and it makes his heart drop again. He knows why.
“I-I’m not using drugs, Eddie,” you whisper, shaking your head, “I’m not doing what they said about me.”
“I know you’re not doing any of that.”
You are not using drugs, you are not sleeping around, you are not destructive. He knows all of that. But he doesn’t know about your past, he wants to know but not yet, you are not in the right state of mind to answer the questions that have been running through his mind.
He pulls you into his arms again, closing his eyes and breathing in your scent.
“I’m sorry,” he whispers, “I’m so worried about you.”
It eases the pain a little and softens your heart.
“I’ll be okay.” It’s a lie, you both know it. You are not prepared for what is about to come when you go back on tour next week but you try not to think about it now.
“B-But what they said about him, it’s true.”
The pain in your voice, the shakiness and the tears that continue to fall break his heart. You have been through too much.
“I found him the way they said I did, I found him, Eddie.”
He closes his eyes, he hugs you tighter. He can imagine how helpless and scared you must have felt that night.
“I-It was too late, he was gone and I couldn’t.. I couldn’t help him.”
“I’m so sorry, baby,” he whispers, blinking away his own tears.
He can feel your body growing weaker as you cry harder, he pulls you along with him as he walks backwards, sitting down on his bed, he pulls you on his lap, you bury your face in the crook of his neck and let him hold you.
“I’m always here for you, you know that right?” He whispers into your hair after a while.
You nod against him.
“No matter what, sweetheart.”
“Thank you, Eddie,” you whisper, leaning your chin against his chest, you look up at him, admiring the way his curls are still so pretty, even after being out in this weather, “same goes for you.”
He smiles and squeezes your arms. “I know, you’re an angel,” he whispers, cupping your cheeks, he caresses your cheek, “let me take care of you, please.” It’s all he wants, all he ever wanted. He wants to be there for you, he wants to be the one who gets to hold you, who gets to take care of you.
His heart ached in his chest when he saw you drunk and so careless last night, the way you talked about yourself made him both sad and angry. You gave him a small glimpse of what is going on in your mind, it was only a small one and yet, it showed him how much pain you are hiding, how much distaste you have for yourself and he doesn’t even know why. You are the most perfect being in his eyes.
Your heart flutters at his words, the look in his eyes is so soft.
“Please,” he repeats.
His care, his pleading eyes, his soft touch as he begs you to let him take care of you brings back the tears in your eyes. You are scared and he can see it so clear. You are scared to let him back in only to lose him again.
“I won’t let anything happen to you.”
You blink, trying to keep yourself together before you will break down again.
“I’m here and I’m not going anywhere without you.”
He can see your walls crumbling, the ones you have built up around you to shield yourself from him are slowly falling.
“I’m with you, no matter what.”
You whisper his name so brokenly, it almost makes him crumble.
“I won’t ever leave you.”
You left people who hurt you before, they did nothing to stop you, they didn’t beg you to stay, they didn’t try to fix whatever they had broken, they let you go like you had meant nothing to them.
People have left you, almost everyone that came into your life did and while it hurt, you accepted it, it just wasn’t meant to be but you can’t imagine a life without him.
You need him.
You need him to stay.
You don’t want to see him walking away.
You are scared to see it happening and yet, you find yourself breaking down and looking up at him with pleading eyes.
“Please,” you whisper as you grip his shirt tightly in your hand, “I need you.”
His heart melts and his eyes soften, he only pulls you closer until your chest is pressed against his.
“Please don’t ever leave me, Eddie.”
He doesn’t know whether to cry or to smile knowing that you still want him. But you are so scared, so afraid of watching him walk away from you. In that moment, he realizes why you didn’t want to give him a second chance, why you wanted him to stay away from you, why you wanted the distance so bad. You are scared of losing him in the end, you are scared of a life without him, you are scared that you won’t survive the heartbreak a second time and it breaks his heart.
He cups your cheeks tighter, looking into your eyes intently.
“I will never leave you, sweetheart.”
You let him hold you for a while. You listen to his heartbeat, melting into his touch. He rubs your back and kisses the top of your head.
You don’t know how many minutes pass in silence but you appreciate it, him and all of this. You feel safe, only in his arms.
“Can you distract me, today?” You ask, “please?”
“Of course, sweetheart,” he says.
“Didn’t you say you like baking?”
“Yeah, why?”
You look up at him, finding him staring at you already.
“We should make chocolate cake,” he smiles.
“You can bake?” You ask.
He shakes his head, chuckling, “nope but you can.”
“Oh so you just wanna stand there and look pretty while I bake the cake?”
“Exactly,” he says, squeezing your waist, his eyes flash with excitement knowing that you will spend the whole weekend with him. “I hope you don’t mind being stuck with me this weekend ‘cause there’s no way, I’m letting you go.”
You wouldn’t want to be anywhere else right now.
“I don’t mind if you don’t mind.”
He scoffs, glaring softly, “never, sweetheart. If I could, I’d keep you with me all the time, I’d handcuff you to me,” he jokes.
Raising your eyebrows, you look behind him, only now noticing the handcuffs on the wall. Your eyes widen and you can’t help but grow curious.
“With those?” You ask, pointing behind him.
He turns around to look at the wall, a smirk appearing on his face as he looks back at you, “sure but they are kind of uncomfortable.”
“How do you know?”
“I got arrested once.”
You snort. He rolls his eyes playfully but he can’t help but smile.
“By El’s dad?”
“Yeah, Hopper.”
Your eyes widen, “oh, I’d love to get arrested by him, he’s a hot dilf.”
He frowns, furrowing his brows, “really?” He mumbles.
“Yup,” you say, “wait, why did you get arrested though?”
“I got caught stealing socks.”
You can’t even help but giggle. Eddie raises his brows at you, lips tugging into a smile. Your giggle makes his heart flutter, he is happy to hear it, especially today.
“Socks?”
“Yeah, I didn’t have enough money and I really wanted some new socks,” he explains dramatically.
You shake your head at him, “well, now you can buy endless socks, Eddie,” you say as you get off his lap. You look around the room you haven’t been in before. You eye the Corroded Coffin poster, it was their first ever design. The writing is still black and red, the way it was back then but the background is a faded black now.
His room here is not much different from his room in LA, the only difference there is, is the mess in this one and the many posters he must have collected over the years, as a teen. A shirt is thrown over the speakers on his dresser, you pick it up, turning around to give him a pointed look, “you’re so messy,” you mumble, not paying much attention to the soft look in his eyes as he watches you.
“Hellfire club,” you read, “oh, it’s the nerd club you told me about!”
Eddie groans, clutching his chest dramatically, “nerd club? You wound me, darling.”
Shaking your head, you snort at him.
“You should wear it, since you’re a nerd too,” Eddie smiles.
“Excuse me? Since when am I a nerd?” You scoff.
“Since you told me that you played DnD with your cousin before,” he grins. He takes his jacket off, throwing it on his bed before he walks towards you. He leans against the dresser and crosses his arms over his chest, watching you with a smile on his face.
You ignore him, distracted by the polaroid pictures on his dresser, your eyes light up, “oh my god, is that you as a kid?”
He only recently found these old pictures again. He kept them in a box, far away from where he could see it but as he was cleaning his room and throwing some stuff out, he found the old shoebox again and couldn’t help himself but go through all these pictures that held so many memories, happy and sad ones.
“Yeah,” he smiles sadly.
“Can I?” You ask.
He nods.
You reach for one, a smile tugs at your lips as you eye the picture. He was no older than five in this picture, his curls were wild back then already, brown eyes shining with his happiness as he looked up at the pretty woman who resembled him, his mom.
Eddie never talked much about her, he only ever mentioned her death but not much else. You never pushed him to talk and he was very thankful for that. You understand him, you never talked much about your dad either, you both struggled to.
“You were so cute,” you whisper as you trace the picture with your finger, “and she was so beautiful.”
“She was,” Eddie smiles as he stares at the picture of his mother before his eyes move back to you. The sad smile and the soft look in your eyes tugs at his heart. He wishes that he could introduce you to his mom, you would have liked her.
“She would’ve loved you,” he says with a sad look in his eyes.
You turn to look at him, tears burn in the back of his eyes and you find something else other than sorrow and empathy in his eyes, understanding. You both lost a parent, one that you have loved with all your hearts, you were both left with the awful parent, the one that never cared for or loved you.
Eddie understands you and you understand him.
“My dad would’ve loved you too,” you whisper.
He smiles at your words, he would have loved to meet him.
You look back down, looking at the picture one more time before you place it back on the dresser, “you look just like her.”
“Yeah,” he chuckles, “I’m glad I do, I would’ve hated myself if I looked anything like my dad.”
“Oh, I should hate myself then cause I’ve been told that I look like my mother,” you say with a frown on your face that tells Eddie how upset you are with that woman.
You do look like your mother, Eddie has seen the pictures of her and your dad from when they were still married.
“No,” he mumbles, “don’t hate yourself, sweetheart. You have no reason to do so.”
You don’t react to his words, you don’t look at him, for a moment, there is a distant expression on your face. You blink, smile turning upside down. You are deep in thought about something, something that surely has to do with your mother.
You nod to yourself before you turn away. Exploring the rest of Eddie’s room without saying much. The mention of your parents must have brought you back to the magazine. Eddie doesn’t push you to talk, he knows when you need a moment to yourself and right now, it’s one of those moments.
He promises himself to make this day as good for you as possible. Wanting to give you better memories for this day, he knows that Christmas will always remind you of your dad, of this horrible night that happened years ago but he is determined to give you something special for this day.
By the time you walk back into the living room, Wayne had lit up the Christmas lights that he and Eddie had hung up yesterday morning, ‘we haven’t used these lights in years, Eddie wanted to hang them up for you.’ Wayne had said when you complimented the decorations. Your heart softened, Eddie had already planned to ask you to spend Christmas with him and Wayne.
You had to call Sam and Steve and your very hysterical best friend, Wren. It took some time calming both her and Sam down after they had read the article, both of them feared the worst.
It warms your heart to know that there’s people who care about you but it isn't easy to convince them that you are okay when you’re actually really not okay.
You and Eddie baked the cake, well, you baked the cake, Eddie just sat back and watched you with a fond smile on his face. He even turned on some Christmas music which was surprising to both you and Wayne.
‘Gotta bring in the real Christmas spirit.’ He joked.
He only came to help when it was time to decorate the cake, eyes lighting up like the one’s of a happy child when you stepped aside and let him finish the cake.
“Wanna try the frosting?” You ask as you hold the bowl with the leftover vanilla frosting.
"Yes, please."
Using the small spoon, you scoop some of the frosting on it before you bring it up to his lips, smiling at him as he tastes it.
“Oh shit, that’s good,” he moans.
“Yeah?”
“Mhmm,” he hums before he sticks his finger into the bowl, getting more of the frosting.
“You have a spoon!” You exclaim.
“Tastes better like this,” he chuckles, tapping your nose with the frosting on his finger.
“Eddie,” you whine.
His eyes flash with amusement as you roll your eyes at him, you raise your hand to wipe away the frosting but he beats you to it, licking it off his finger after wiping it off.
“I’m just gonna put a shit ton of sprinkles on the cake,” he grins at you as he reaches for the small container of sprinkles.
Placing the bowl on the table, you watch him. His curls frame his face perfectly, falling down to his shoulders, you notice how much it grew since the summer. Taking the scrunchie out of your hair, you step behind him and gather his hair, putting in a low bun.
“What’re you doing?”
You can hear the smile in his voice.
“Styling your hair,” you murmur, smiling when he sighs in content.
Neither of you notice that Wayne has been taking pictures of you two the whole time you have been in the kitchen. The older man watching his nephew with a fond smile on his face as he looks at you with a shine in his eyes that he hasn’t seen in years.
After what happened this morning, you didn’t expect this day to go so well. You were prepared for another bad Christmas, an even worse one this year due to the article but Eddie and Wayne were able to distract you from it all.
You were able to forget about the article and your mom, even if just for a moment.
You watched a Christmas movie, well, a Christmas horror movie since Eddie insisted on it. You watched both parts of silent night deadly night. Despite the wish for more space, you ended up snuggled against him, he had his arm wrapped around you and it was almost impossible not to fall asleep.
Eddie adored every second, he got to spend with you like this.
He was happy, for the first time in a long time, he felt at peace because you are willing to give him another chance, no longer running away from him or giving him the cold shoulder, which he admittedly deserves after the things he had done to you.
After dinner and dessert, it was time for presents and you were staring at Eddie excitedly, already knowing what he ‘got’ for Wayne. He planned this a long time ago, what started off with a wish, finally became reality.
A number 1 hit, touring across the country and throwing concerts almost every night, finally gave him the chance to afford something he never thought he would.
No more food stamps, no more sleepless nights and worrying about bills they couldn’t afford to pay. Those days are over. Eddie can finally give his uncle a life he deserves.
You lean your elbows on the table, cupping your cheeks, you raise your brows at Eddie, who gives you an exciting smile.
“Alright, you’ll get the first present of the night, Wayne,” Eddie starts, unable to fight the smile off his face, “I wanted to take you somewhere but uh, the weather said no,” he chuckles as he gestures to the heavy snow that is falling outside.
Wayne furrows his brows, tilting his head, “what do you mean, son?”
“Uh,” Eddie mumbles, suddenly feeling nervous, he scratches the back of his neck, reaching for the small box, he slides it over to his uncle, “here.”
Wayne raises his hand slowly, taking the box, he gives Eddie a look, a knowing and nervous one.
“Open it,” Eddie says.
The older man mutters something under his breath, giving his nephew another look before he focuses on the present, removing the wrapping paper, he furrows his brows at the small box, he opens it slowly, almost too slowly, as though he is nervous. When his eyes fall on the key, his eyes widen and he stares at it for a long moment before he raises his head to look at Eddie.
“Ed, what..” He trails off, staring at his nephew with a shocked look in his eyes, “tell me, you didn’t.”
“I did,” Eddie smiles proudly, “I promised you, didn’t I?”
A long time ago, Eddie promised his uncle that he would buy him a house someday, he promised him a better life.
Wayne huffs in disbelief, he blinks rapidly. He brings his hand up to his jaw as he looks down at the key.
“It’s nothing big but it’s a house, not a trailer,” Eddie says, his eyes soften as he looks at his uncle, knowing that he is trying not to cry, “it’s a good area, Wayne. Cornwallis street to be exact and you’re minutes away from Lake Jordan.”
“Eddie,” the older man sighs, “you didn’t have to.”
“Yes, I did. You gave me everything, Wayne. You didn’t have to but you did, I owe you so much.”
Eddie couldn’t be more thankful, Wayne gave him things that his dad couldn’t give him. He raised him well, taught him things that he needed for his life, he gave him money whenever he needed it knowing that he would struggle at the end of the month but he didn’t care, he needed to know that his nephew was taken care of, that he had enough clothes, a full stomach, even if that meant that he went to sleep hungry.
You look between them, your heart swells in your chest when you stare at Eddie. You grew up with money, you never had days when you had to worry about being kicked out of the house because your parents couldn’t afford the rent, you never went to sleep hungry, you had endless of toys and clothes. You never had to worry about the things that Eddie and Wayne had to worry about. You can only imagine how exciting and relieving it must be for Eddie to be able to give this to his uncle.
“You don’t owe me anything, son.”
Eddie shakes his head at his words, smiling at Wayne.
“You literally still sleep on the fold out bed instead of taking the damn room for yourself.”
“It’s your room, Eddie.”
“Yeah well, you will finally have your own room, old man,” Eddie grins, patting his uncle on the shoulder, “it’s all I ever wanted, get you an actual house, you deserve better than this,” he says, gesturing to the trailer.
“S’not that bad, Ed,” he frowns, “it’s home.”
He is right, this is a home, not just a house or a place, this is home. Even to you it feels like that.
“Well, you’ll get a new home, a better one.”
Wayne shakes his head, still in shock about the present his nephew got him.
“C’mere.” He gets up as Eddie does too, embracing each other in a hug, you look at them fondly.
“Thank you,” Wayne says as he pats his nephew’s back, “you’re a good kid, Ed. You’re too good.”
“You’re a good uncle, the best,” Eddie grins as he pulls back from the hug, “I can’t wait to show you the house.”
After the initial shock, you gave Wayne your present. He looked just as surprised as he did before, not expecting you to give him anything.
“It’s not much but it’s a little something,” you chuckle as you watch him open the envelope.
“A little something?” He scoffs as he takes out the tickets.
“Eddie told me that you had never been to Los Angeles so uh, I thought that you could come visit him when we’re back home. You can pick the date yourself,” you say, pointing to the tickets, “and, a little birdie told me that you’re not working on New Years Eve so I booked you a hotel room so you can come see us play in Chicago.”
You don’t see the look of surprise and love in Eddie’s eyes. To see you get along with his uncle makes him feel so grateful and happy. You and Wayne mean everything to him, to know that you like him so much means a lot to him.
Wayne shakes his head with a smile on his face, “you’re spoiling me,” he says to the both of you, “you really didn’t have to, darling but thank you so much.”
He gives you a warm hug and thanks you with a grateful smile on his face.
“I got you something too, it doesn’t beat your presents but it’s a little something.”
Your eyes widen and you stare at the man in surprise as you sit back down, “oh no, you didn’t have to, getting to spend Christmas with you two is the best present.”
Eddie’s eyes soften and Wayne chuckles, shaking his head, he smiles at you as he hands you a present wrapped in red and white paper. Both men see the excited look in your eyes, it makes them both smile harder.
You unwrap your present, a giggle falling from your lips when you see the mug. It’s a light pink one with strawberries all over it, “that’s so cute!” You exclaim as you stare at it as though it’s the best present you had ever gotten, it makes both of them chuckle.
“I love that so much, thank you!”
“You’re welcome, kid,” he smiles, “but there’s something else.”
Furrowing your brows, you look down, noticing another small present inside the mug. You can feel that it’s a necklace but as you unwrap it and your eyes fall on the black and purple guitar pick, you look up at the man, “that wasn’t meant for Eddie, was it?” You chuckle.
He grins at you, shaking his head, “that goes with a present, he got for you.”
Your lip twitches and you turn to look at Eddie with a curious smile.
He looks excited and giddy. Jumping up from the chair, he walks away, rushing into his bedroom. You hear him shuffling around in his room, a few curse words echoing through the room when something tumbles to the ground , making both you and Wayne chuckle.
He comes back, a large smile on his face as he holds something behind his back.
“Alright rockstar, this is for you,” he grins, handing you the very badly wrapped present, it almost makes you laugh. You don’t have to guess what it is, it is obvious.
“I-Is that a–”
“Unwrap it, sweetheart.”
He hands you the present, his fingers brush against yours, your eyes lock for a moment.
Eddie watches in anticipation, he sits back down, bouncing his knee as he stares at you with wide and exciting eyes. Your eyes grow bigger when you finally lay your eyes on the guitar you have practically fallen in love with when you had laid eyes on it all these months ago.
“Eddie,” you gasp, unable to tear your eyes away from the beautiful electric guitar, you admire it, tracing the smooth wood with your fingertips. It’s black, adorned with dark purple color on the sides, “she’s pretty.”
“How? It’s the one I saw in New York,” you mumble as you look up at Eddie.
He shrugs, smiling at you, “I saw you staring at it every time we walked past that store,” he explains, “I got it when you went out to eat with Jeff and Gareth.”
Your gaze softens, a warm feeling settles in your chest and your stomach. Your heart flutters. He got it for you all these months back?
“How did I not see it, I’ve never seen you carry two guitar cases?”
“I shipped it to Hawkins, I knew you’d spend Christmas with us,” he shrugs.
“Eddie,” you whisper, “I-I love it, thank you.”
You place the guitar down, getting up, you step towards him, he opens his arms for you right away, pulling you into a hug.
He closes his eyes, burying his face in the crook of your neck, “I got more for you but you’ll get it later,” he whispers.
“Thank you so much,” you whisper. Your voice is thick with emotions, Eddie knows that you are on the verge of tears. You kiss his cheek, thanking him once again before you take the attention away from you, practically shoving your present for him in his arms so you don’t start crying for all the love you are getting tonight.
You got him a new shoulder strap for his guitar, adorned with bats that match his tattoos. New rings and a matching necklace that he excitedly puts on, right away. Hanging the strap over his shoulder, “I'm so excited to go back on tour,” he grins as he looks down at the guitar strap.
“Thank you so much, sweetheart.”
He plants a big kiss on your cheek, unaware of the big smile on his uncle’s face as he looks between the two of you.
Wayne gifted Eddie a bunch of movies, a new bandana that Eddie had put around his wrist right away and a book he had wished for.
You couldn’t be more thankful for both men, your day wouldn’t have turned out as well as it did if it wasn’t for them.
-
You retreat to Eddie’s room after a few more drinks and a hot shower. Wearing one of his shirts and his boxers, you sit on the bed, flipping through the pages of the magazine you promised to throw away, you couldn’t help it.
You stare at the pictures of your dad, the smile on his face that you haven’t seen in so long makes your heart hurt, you miss him so much. All that is left of him is his music, his pictures, his guitar that you kept and a letter you have yet to open.
You take it with you, everywhere you go, you take the letter with you, hoping that you will finally find the courage to open it, to read it and get answers to why he did it but you are too afraid of the truth.
The letter is tucked away in your suitcase at the lone motel.
Your eyes fall on the pictures of your mother, your painfully beautiful mother. If only her personality was just as beautiful. She has always been awful to you, cold and distant to you and your dad.
But you didn’t expect her to be this cold.
“Are you ready to sleep in the comfiest bed– hey, you shouldn’t read that again.”
You look up, your vision is blurred, you didn’t even notice the tears that have welled up in your eyes.
Eddie’s eyes soften and he sighs, whispering your name.
“I– yeah, you’re right,” you mumble, closing the magazine, you throw it to the ground and wipe away the tears, “I just wanted to see my dad.”
It hurts him to know how much you are suffering.
“But I’m okay,” you say as you pull the blanket higher, leaning back against the comfy pillows, you give him a small smile.
Eddie doesn’t say anything, opting to give you a smile that doesn’t even reach your eyes. He joins you on his bed, the smell of his aftershave and shampoo hitting your senses. He gets under the blanket, scooting a little closer to you but making sure to give you space. The shirt you are wearing is one of his favorites, you smell like him, having used his body wash and shampoo, it makes his heart flutter.
You are here, in his room, in his bed, with him.
“You look cute.”
“Thanks,” you chuckle.
He winks at you, turning his back to you, he reaches for something under his bed.
You notice that something has changed about him and it isn’t just the hair that got longer, his shoulders got broader, arms more muscular than before.
“Do you work out?” You blurt out.
“Huh?”
He looks at you in amusement, holding a box in his hands.
“Y-You have muscles.”
Eddie chuckles, “are you checking me out?”
Your eye roll makes him laugh even more.
The truth is, yes, he started working out. He found that it is a good outlet for his anger. A year ago, he would have drowned his emotions in alcohol and weed but he doesn’t want to do that anymore, he wants to be better than that, he wants to be better than his father.
“Here, this is for you.”
A box filled with things that you have wanted but never gotten was the last thing that you expected. Just like with the guitar, there’s things that you have never even spoken about. Eddie was there when you stared at that one necklace, he was there when you walked past that one store that sold polaroid cameras, he paid attention to the things you eyed for a little too long, he saw the glint in your eyes and without having to ask, he knew that you wanted them.
He collected them over the months, preparing for Christmas. It filled him with excitement, every time you were busy, he went back to the stores you have passed to buy the things you wanted.
He smiles as he watches you, his heart flutters in his chest when you put the necklace around your neck with an excited smile on your lips.
You don’t know what to say, uttering a small ‘thank you’. A smile is all that he needs but you scoot closer to him, kissing his cheek before you lay your head on his shoulder.
“Thank you for everything, I-I think this might have been my favorite Christmas.”
His eyes flash with surprise and his heart tugs in his chest. He puts his arm around you, looking down at you with a fond smile on his face, “really?”
“Yeah.”
You drown out the horrible things that happened this morning, the horrible things that are yet to come thanks to whoever sold the story about your dad. You focus on Eddie, on the things he did for you, on the things he said to you, last night.
‘We can start over, okay?’
You want it so bad. You want to start over. Go back to the beginning.
“Can we start over?”
“What?”
You look up at him with big eyes, hope for the future deep in your eyes.
“You said we can start over, so.. can we?”
“Sweetheart,” he whispers, smiling at your words. It looks as though a weight has been lifted off his shoulders, eyes shining with happiness, “of course we can.”
“Good.”
“Very good.”
His deep voice and the seriousness in his eyes makes you chuckle.
“Back to the beginning?”
“Yes, back to the beginning.”
“You wanna leave everything behind?” He asks.
You know what he means by that.
“Yes but we gotta be honest to each other from now on, you have to be honest with me and I have to be honest with you too.”
He nods, agreeing with your words but a curious look flickers in his eyes.
“You’re always honest.”
You shift uncomfortably, looking down, you place the lit back on the box and place it on the nightstand.
“Not always. There’s something I didn’t tell you.”
Right.
Eddie knows what you are talking about. A knowing look flashes in his eyes, one that you fail to notice.
“I want us to be honest with each other, no more secrets,” you say.
“Yeah,” he whispers.
You finally notice the look in his eyes, it reminds you of the one you had seen when he stormed into the trailer earlier.
“What’s wrong?”
He takes a deep breath, reaching for your hand, he looks into your eyes.
“Sam asked me something.”
By the look on your face and the quiet ‘oh’ that falls from your lips, he already knows that you know what it is about, he waits for a moment, making sure that you aren’t uncomfortable.
“He uh– he asked if you are using drugs again.”
Your lips part and a nervous expression crosses your face, you blink, shame filling your eyes.
“Eddie.”
Tears brim your eyes.
“Did you?”
You can’t read his eyes, not right now. You can’t tell if he is angry or if he’s worried or disgusted by you because you were so quick to get mad at him for believing Chrissy when you have done these things yourself.
You nod and close your eyes.
To say that he is shocked is an understatement, on top of that he is worried. You have been around drugs for months, hell, you are around them right now. Eddie still has his secret stash in his room.
His heart is pounding in his chest, he is scared.
“You don’t have to talk about it–”
“No, it’s okay, Eddie.”
“Are you sure?” He asks.
You nod, “yeah,” you whisper.
“When?”
“2 years ago,” you admit, “i-it was only a few times, I didn’t have an addiction or anything, j-just.. did it a few times and then Sam caught me.”
“Jesus,” he sighs, “what did you take?”
“Just cocaine, some pills, I don’t know what they were.”
“Just cocaine,” he scoffs as anger flashes in his eyes, “that could have ruined you, y/n.”
“I know, that’s why I stopped,” you whisper, not feeling affected by his anger, you know he is just worried.
“Why did you take it in the first place?”
“I-I needed to feel something.”
You felt numb and needed something that would lift you up. You weren’t one to drown yourself in alcohol, parties and one night stands every weekend. You drowned yourself in work, you spent your free time writing songs and helping Sam out, that’s how you met the one who got you into drugs in the first place but Sam didn’t need to know that.
You can imagine what goes on inside his mind as you look into his eyes, ‘how could you be so careless?’, ‘how could you do the one thing that killed your dad?’
Truth be told, you wanted to know what it felt like, what it made him feel like.
While your dad tried to numb the pain, you tried to make the numbness fade away but it only helped for a little while. Back then it wasn’t difficult to stop, you didn’t get attached, it was easy to stop.
“I only did it a few times and then I stopped, I never had a problem, Eddie.”
He believes you, the truth is in your eyes but it doesn’t stop him from worrying. You were so desperate to feel something, you were willing to risk your life. The thought makes him feel sick, ‘what if you thought about it when he hurt you?’, ‘what if you got close to taking them again after what happened between you two?’, ‘what if you took some last night?’
“Eddie, I haven’t touched them ever since, haven’t even thought about it. Not on tour, not at any parties, never.”
“I believe you,” he whispers, feeling guilty for making you feel like you have to explain yourself to him when you are clearly suffering.
You swallow nervously, it’s something you have never talked about to anyone. Not even your friends, they knew certain things but not everything.
“But how did you get into them, the drugs?”
He looks for the hesitation in your eyes but there isn’t any, there is only a nervous look on your face. You are scared of what he will think.
You take a deep breath, leaning back again, you reach for the small pillow and bring it up to your chest.
“When I was working with Sam, I met this guy. He uh, he was– is a singer, had his own band too. He was nice, he was good to me and he was older than me. I liked that, it made me feel safe. I worked on some song texts with him and we started spending a lot of time together. He took me to places, I went to his concerts and the stupid after parties, we would get high together or drunk but when it was just the two of us, we did other things.”
Eddie frowns at your words, he can’t even contain the jealousy that is clear on his face.
“I took drugs, not all the time but I did, I’m not proud of it. I wanted to know what it felt like. My friends were pissed at me and so was Sam when he found out.”
“How did your friends find out?”
You grow flustered at his question, avoiding his eyes, you look down at your hands as you think back that night.
“Do you remember Frankie?” You ask.
He furrows his brows, “uh yeah, the crazy redhead?” He asks, making you chuckle.
“Yeah, her,” you smile, “I dragged her and the others to a party at his house. We uh, he took me to his room,” you pause, not knowing how much you should actually tell him, the look in his eyes is unreadable, “I didn’t want to take drugs at a party my friends were at but he had a way of convincing me to do stuff I didn’t want to do and when I was snorting that crap, Frankie walked in and caught me.”
His eyes flash with anger at your words, to know that someone else could have such an effect on you worries him.
“She got hysterical, basically dragged me out of the room and cursed him out when he laughed at her. She told the others and they were pissed.”
“How’d you stop?”
You shrug, “I knew that I would end up like my dad a-and I didn’t want that. I also didn’t want to lose my friends. It wasn’t an issue for me to stop, really. I only did it out of curiosity and because he convinced me.”
“I’m glad you stopped and I’m proud of you.” He says, squeezing your hand.
He feels relieved to know that you weren’t addicted and hung up on the drugs but it still worries him, you have been through so much, he knows how easy it is to fall back into old habits.
He can’t help but grow hatred for the man he doesn’t even know. A part of him feels curious though.
“Thank you,” you smile.
“I thought you didn’t have a boyfriend before..”
“I didn’t, he wasn’t my boyfriend.”
“What was he then?”
You shrug, blinking.
“Well, I– we never made anything official, he treated me like I was his but I-I didn’t want that. I broke the whole thing off after a while. I knew that we’d never work out as a couple, he would drag me back into all that shit and I didn’t want to get attached to someone like that or even fall in love.”
“Oh.”
You can tell that there’s a million other questions running through his mind but there is mostly relief in his eyes.
You are both quiet for a moment until you decide that it’s time to move on to another question.
“Why did you never tell me about Chrissy?” You ask, “I know we’ve talked about this before but I wanna have an actual answer.”
Eddie raises his brows, taking a deep breath, he looks into your eyes.
“Like even when we were just friends, why didn’t you tell me about her?” You add.
“To be honest, I didn’t think it was worth bringing her up, I– yes, she was my girlfriend but I didn’t think that I was her boyfriend anymore, the relationship was over.”
“But that’s so dumb, Eddie. You were still with her,” you mumble.
“I know,” he sighs, “but things with her were weird. She made me promise that things between us wouldn’t change but when I left Hawkins and came to California, she basically broke off contact, she never called and deep down I knew that she was with Jason. It hurt, I didn’t get why she was with me when she wanted someone else. She hurt me so many times before, she lied to me, she cheated on me. I was a mess back then but I got used to it, to the lies and the things she did,” he pauses, scoffing at his old self, “I should have left her but every time I tried to leave, she would get inside my head, tell me that no one else would want me and it fucking scared me, y/n. I didn’t want to be alone but I didn’t want to be with her any longer either, I-I was conflicted.”
“But you left Hawkins, by yourself. You were alone.” You say, shaking your head as you stare at him in confusion.
“Yeah,” he chuckles, “she brought up kids and marriage and that thought made me sick, I didn’t want that. I panicked and I just wanted to run away. I should’ve broken up with her first but I was still too attached to her and I knew I needed to break that emotional connection before leaving her because I knew that she would always reel me back in otherwise. I spent months hating myself for not being able to do what I should’ve done a long time ago, I didn’t think much of her, she was on my mind less and less and then you came along and everything changed. You made me feel good, you made me feel happy in a way she never did, you healed me. You showed me what it’s like to be cared for, what it’s like to be genuinely liked. You didn’t want me for something, you just wanted me.”
Your eyes are wide, soft and filled with empathy.
You had every reason to be angry at him, to have all these trust issues, anyone would think the thoughts that you had when you just found out about her.
But you understand him now, you believe him.
“I never realized what genuine reciprocated affection was like until it was too late.”
His brown eyes are filled with sadness as he thinks back to the night in Cincinnati.
“You made me so fucking happy, sweetheart and I– I ruined it.”
You shake your head, scooting closer, you take both of his hands in yours.
“We’ll start over, right?”
His glassy eyes flash with hope and he nods, whispering a small ‘yes’.
“I’m sorry about what happened with her, that she hurt you like that. She didn’t deserve you,” you frown as you think of the pain he had gone through in that relationship.
“It’s okay,” he whispers, “I uh, I realized that I never loved her like I thought I had.” Not like I love you.
“Really?”
He nods.
“Do you remember the night at the beach?”
“Of course I remember the night at the beach, Eddie.”
“You described love to me, how it’s supposed to feel with the right person, how it’s supposed to feel with your soulmate,” he whispers, hands running down your arms, he slowly takes your hands in his, “that’s how it feels with you, I would do anything for you and with you, you are my person. I never felt that way about her or with her.”
You feel the same way about him and he knows it.
“And how long have you really felt this way about me?” you ask, a softened gaze in your eyes.
“From the start,” he whispers, squeezing your hand, “it confused me at first, I have never felt this way about anyone else before, I didn’t know what it was at first. And then we talked about love and relationships and that night I realized that I never loved her, I admired her but I never loved her.”
“You are my person too, Eddie. You called me your best friend last night,” you smile, “I feel the same way.”
“Yeah? I’m your best friend, sweetheart?”
You nod.
“What about the mean girl group from LA?”
You gasp, “mean girl group? My friends are not mean,” you chuckle.
“They all glared at me.”
“They’re protective,” you shrug.
“Well after the last guy you’ve been with, I get it.”
You snort at his words, “he’s kinda famous you know?”
“I’m famous.”
“Yes you are,” you nod.
“Alright, what did you think of me when you first saw me?” He asks, curiously.
“Oh my god,” you chuckle as you think back to the night at the bar your friends had dragged you to. Corroded Coffin had a gig and it was the first time you had ever seen them play. Eddie was the one that caught your eye, of course. He wore a tank top, a black bandana around his head, black leather pants, his cheeks were flushed and god, he looked good.
“I was impressed by your guitar skills and your voice,” you admit, “I loved your style and you just looked so good.”
He smirks in satisfaction.
“Thanks sweetheart.”
“You’re welcome,” you snort.
Looking around the room, you think of a question. You look down at yourself and at his bed, an amused expression appearing on your face when you turn back to him.
“When’s the last time you pissed the bed? Steve warned me about your mattress.”
“What!” He yells in a whisper, a mortified look crossing his face as his cheeks flush red, “no way! I have not– okay 16 when I got wasted but that’s besides the point.”
You burst into laughter, closing your eyes, you throw your head back, “oh my god.”
“That’s not funny– okay, you know what, it is funny,” he laughs, “but look at you!” He exclaims, turning away from you, he opens his nightstand, pulling out a magazine that wrote about Corroded Coffin, featuring the backstories of each band member.
He shows you the pictures he ripped out of the magazine, which he totally plans on keeping.
“Look at that little ray of sunshine,” he grins, holding out the pictures of you as a kid, “look at how cute you were with your pigtails and your pink dresses, you used to be so sweet, what happened to that little girly girl?” He teases you with a smug look on his face.
You groan in annoyance, “the girly girl grew out of the dresses her mom picked out for her.”
You grow flustered, trying to snatch the picture out of his hand but he pulls it back, “uh uh, I’m keeping this, look at this cute little baby.”
“Eddie!”
He chuckles at you, brown eyes shining with amusement, “you were so adorable, I know that kindergarten me would have asked you to marry me if we knew each other back then.”
“Oh my god,” you groan, “suddenly, I’m tired. Good night.”
“Ouch, did my kindergarten self just get rejected?” He asks dramatically.
“Shut up,” you snort.
You can hear him shuffling around, putting the pictures back in the drawer. You would be lying to yourself if you said that it didn’t make your heart flutter, it’s cute that he kept the pictures of you.
He turns off the light and gets comfortable behind you. You don’t bother closing your eyes or actually trying to fall asleep, knowing that he will speak up again.
But he stays quiet for a while, a deep sigh interrupts the silence though.
“Eddie?” You whisper.
“Yes?”
“What do you wanna know?”
“How do you know that I wanna know something?”
You snort.
“I can feel it.”
“How?”
“It’s a girl’s thing.”
“Ah,” he says quietly.
Another minute or so passes before he lets out another sigh.
“Do you still want Henry to give you nipple piercings?”
You almost burst into giggles, out of all the questions he could have asked, this is the one that has been on his mind all along?
“Yeah,” you shrug, already imagining the frown appearing on his face. And just as you had suspected, he scoffs at your words and turns away.
“Did you just turn your back on me?”
“Yup.”
You turn towards him and scoot closer, staring at him in the darkness. You wrap your arm around his waist and hug him from behind.
Eddie’s heart skips a beat, excitement rushes through him and he melts into you.
“What happened to space?” He mumbles into the blanket.
You ignore his question.
“What’s wrong grumpy?”
“Grumpy?”
“Yeah, you’re a grumpy old man,” you whisper.
He gasps, turning around to face you, “old? I’m two years older than you.”
“Exactly, you’re like a dinosaur.”
He scoffs at your words, rolling his eyes playfully.
“Are you saying you are into grumpy old men?”
“Yeah, I was always into older grumpy washed up rockstars who are into younger women.”
Eddie can tell that you are trying to act playful and fine the way you always do, even today but the sadness still lingers in the back of your voice.
“Well, then you are my hot trophy wife,” he blurts out.
Your eyes widen and his do too when he realizes what he just said.
Wife?!
“If anything you’d be my trophy husband–”
“Well yeah, you’re gonna be my wife someday–”
You both speak at the same time.
“What?!”
The looks on both of your face’s are comical, both flustered and in shock.
“Well..” You start, “I always wanted a house husband,” you joke.
He scoots closer to you, close enough so the tip of his nose brushes against yours.
“Oh, I’m gonna be a dad too?” He smiles.
“Probably when we’re both drunk, I tend to make questionable decisions when I am.”
He chuckles at your words, “alright well, let's do it. We can have that american dream and all that shit,  we’ll have that fucking white picket fence– I’m totally drawing some sick bats on it though.”
You giggle, eyes growing heavy as you get sleepy.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah,” he smiles, “we’ll call our kid Arwen, she’s gonna be a little badass like her mom.”
Your smile falls a little, a bittersweet feeling settles deep within your heart as you feel yourself longing for something you might not ever get. A future with him, this future with him. He doesn’t actually want that, he told you so.
But you do.
The stupid white picket fence. You never wanted it, you wanted this life, the band, the tours, the concerts and yet here you are falling in love with the thought of a family with him.
“Sweetheart?”
“Yes?”
“Is it okay if I touch you? I wanna hold you.”
Tears well up in your eyes, your heart melts in your chest.
You wrap your arms around him and lay your head on his chest. He smiles at your action, placing his hands on the small of your back, he pulls you on top of him, kissing the top of your head, “thank you,” he whispers.
You close your eyes, begging for sleep to take over so you can stop thinking of something that will never happen.
Eddie has a dreamy smile on his face as he thinks of it though. Something he never wanted with her, he wants with you. He wants to build a life with you. He wants marriage and kids, a family.
He looks down at you with adoration in his eyes.
He swears to himself that he will do anything to make you happy, to keep you safe and protect you.
He will give you the world if you ask him to.

eddie munson x goth!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: eddie is trying to be normal about the goth girl from the record store, until he sees her at the hideout with a guy he absolutely despises. he is totally not jealous, by the way. not jealous at all.
description: reader is fem presenting, she/her pronouns are used, reader is described as the typical 80's trad goth, eddie is insecure, awkward and kind of annoying in this, i wrote scott with chazz from airheads in mind, this is technically a part 2 to 'some kind of stranger' but it can be read as its own separate thing.
warnings: swearing, insecurities.
(i realized after i had already posted the fic that blind guardian released their first album in 1988. this fic is set in late 1985, so i changed the band to helloween for more accuracy.)
-
on friday, as usual, eddie got ready to go to the hideout, and he had been on edge the whole day. it was right after the hellfire club meeting. after d&d, he and the other guys from hellfire would usually have pizza together, but this was a particularly long session so he just gave the younger kids a ride home and went back to his trailer to get changed.
eddie liked the hideout. aside from being the only place that would let corroded coffin perform, it was also the main meet-up spot for all the alternative people that lived in hawkins. or at least that's how it advertised itself. the truth is there weren't really many alternative people around. it was mostly metalheads, mostly over the age of 30, except for a few younger guys who eddie liked to go to shows with when the bands they liked actually came to indiana and he had enough money to afford it, a punk and 2 goths, who at one point stopped coming to the hideout because it would almost exclusively play metal music. eddie got along with most of the hideout's regulars. a few of them were ex hawkins high students that he used to hang out with at school. the hideout was like an alternate dimension where he could really be himself. the truth is eddie outwardly prided himself on being different and standing out from the crowd, but sometimes he also enjoyed having a moment of peace and being around other people like him without worrying about being judged 24/7.
his mind went back once again to the goth girl from the record store. after he had met her he went back to his trailer and immediately called gareth, grant and jeff to tell them about the encounter, conveniently leaving out the fact that he was not smooth at all and could barely speak to her. as he expected, considering their (un)success with girls, none of them knew her, but they were pretty intrigued by the whole thing and kept teasing him about his new crush. grant told him to ask their friends from the hideout if they knew who she was, or, even better, go to the hideout himself to check if she ever went there. eddie had shrugged it off and said that it wasn't that important, and yet there he was, sweating profusely in his dio shirt at the sole thought of seeing her there, and wondering what the hell he was supposed to say if he actually bumped into her.
when eddie got at the hideout, he noticed that there were more people than usual. he was confused, until he saw a small flyer on the wall that said that a band called "steel sword" was going to perform that night. eddie sighed. he hated steel sword. the frontman, scott miller, was a year older than him, and eddie hated his guts. they used to be close friends in middle school, and scott was even one of the founding members of corroded coffin, but once he started high school he became completely insufferable, started hanging out with other people, left corroded coffin and founded his own band, steel sword. steel sword sucked. the music was a mixture of thrash metal and power metal, which eddie liked, but they somehow managed to be terrible anyway. they were more successful than corroded coffin, though. but only because of scott's popularity in the scene.
eddie took a seat, clung to his leather jacket and just stayed there sulking by himself for around 10 minutes, trying to think about the last d&d session as a way to calm his nerves. maybe he should have just stayed home and practiced with his guitar or worked on the next hellfire campaign.
his thoughts were interrupted by a voice announcing that steel sword was ready to perform. the crowd cheered and eddie scoffed. now he definitely wanted to go home.
steel sword's set was mediocre, as usual. and he really wanted to punch scott's face, as usual. eddie shot daggers at him while everyone in the crowd, probably scott's popular friends that he had invited to the gig, based on how boring and out of place they looked, congratulated him. he was visualizing all sorts of ways to physically hurt him, until he saw a familiar goth go up to him to give him a hug.
fuck. she was there. and she was hugging scott.
eddie suddenly felt like his heart was forcefully ripped out of his chest and eaten in front of him.
she laughed at something scott said and he seriously considered the idea of murdering him, legally changing his name and leaving the country.
he immediately felt very self conscious. scott was cooler than him, more popular, more attractive, less of a loser, and he wasn't a super senior. he had a good family, more money, his band was more successful than his and scott definitely never had to worry about half-empty beer cans being thrown at his head for simply existing.
it made sense that she liked him, but eddie was upset anyway. he felt like a fool for believing he had a chance with her after how pathetic he acted back at the record store. he usually wasn't like that around girls, but for some reason she made him too nervous to function. scott probably would have approached her smoothly like he did with all the girls that he brought at the hideout (a different one every month), and he definitely wouldn't have stuttered and stumbled over his words like a 12 year old who's speaking to his crush for the first time.
she was so pretty, with her all black outfit and the coolest makeup he had ever seen. suddenly, he made eye contact with her.
"shit, shit, shit."
he whipped his head in the opposite direction, mentally dug his own grave and prayed that she hadn't noticed him staring.
"eddie?"
eddie slowly turned his head around and tried to fake a confidence he definitely didn't have.
"hey, it's you. i didn't see you there."
she smiled a bit, obviously seeing right through him.
"yeah, i was here for steel sword. they're good, aren't they?"
"yeah, so good!" he said, a little too enthusiastically. "uhm... i saw you were talking to scott over there." he added, nervously picking at his upper lip and realizing too late that the way he had said scott's name didn't hide his hatred very well. eddie was a complete bundle of nerves. his hyperactivity had come back to kick him right in the ass.
"oh. so you did see me!" she teased. he mentally facepalmed, but didn't say anything.
"yeah, scott was actually the one who invited me here. i met him at the store. he bought a helloween record." she said.
scott was not special, eddie liked helloween too. did she like the fact that scott liked helloween?
"he's pretty fun." she added.
eddie tried not to implode. he looked down and quickly nodded his head.
"yeah, he's cool. you know, i have a band too." he quickly said, changing the topic and surprising himself with his sudden burst of confidence.
"oh, really?" she seemed genuinely interested. "what's it called?"
"corroded coffin. we play on tuesdays. we're kind of traditional heavy metal and we take most of our inspiration from black sabbath and fantasy. you should come see us." talking about something he was so passionate about calmed his nerves a little, and he felt vaguely comfortable for the first time that night.
"oh, that sounds cool. i don't listen to a lot of heavy metal though, i prefer deathrock." she smiled and he panicked a little.
"oh, we can play deathrock if you want." he's officially gone insane.
"you've known me for less than a week and you're already offering to change your band's sound just for me? i'm flattered." she smirked, and at that moment he really wanted to die.
Actually, he would. And he would even dye his hair black, tease it, start wearing makeup and become a full-blown robert smith impersonator if that's what she wanted.
"we like listening to our fans." he said, with a genuine smile.
"don't call me a fan yet, i have to listen to you first. who knows, maybe you suck." she said jokingly.
"you can come see us next tuesday. you won't be disappointed, i promise."
"i'll be there. and who knows, maybe i'll become your first groupie." she said in a slightly provocative tone that made his breath hitch.
"i'll see you there then." he said, his mind already thinking of what songs they would play and the relentless teasing he would receive from jeff, grant and gareth.
she smiled, nodded, and left without a word.
eddie just stayed there replaying the conversation in his head for a few minutes. then he jumped up, ran out the door and quickly drived back to his trailer, almost running over a few people in the process.
he then threw the door of the trailer open, ran to his room and started tearing it apart.
wayne had already got back from work, and he stared at the whole scene with a confused expression.
"what are you doing?" he asked while leaning on the door frame and effectively interrupting eddie's erratic behavior for a split second.
"getting ready for tuesday's gig." eddie replied, resuming his search through piles of dirty clothes scattered all over the floor.
"what, is there a music agent or something? are you about to about to become rich?"
"no." he stopped again, facing away from his uncle. "there's this girl..."
wayne laughed and gave eddie a pat on the shoulder.
"say no more, boy." he then turned around to leave the room, but stopped right in front of the door. "i think you should wear those leather pants you got."
"i can't. they're too glam. not metal at all."
"i don't know what you're talking about." wayne said with an exasperated sigh and smile, then went back to the other room.
eddie knew that he was smitten and he knew that he absolutely had to impress her. and he also knew that they had to be better than steel sword and that he had to prove to her that he was way cooler than scott fucking miller.

“Too nice?” You raise an eyebrow, confused as you look at the little info card on the kennel. The name “Killer” had caught your attention, and when you saw the dog, a chill ran down your spine. This dog looked big, like it could rip the head off of anyone for looking at it wrong. It sat quietly, eyes on what you thought was you, but when you shuffled over slightly, you realize he’s looking right at Eddie, who stands behind you with a grin.
“Oh, yeah,” the kennel girl chimes in, “Killer’s owner wanted him to be their guard dog, did all the training and whatnot, but they said that he didn’t listen to them and was lazy. So they dumped him.”
“Can we see him?” Eddie asks, a glint in his eyes as he approaches the kennel.
You whip your head around, looking at him incredulously, “What?”
“Yeah of course,” the girl seems excited, “He’s such a sweetheart and a huge cuddle bug.”
“It’s name is Killer,” you say to Eddie, but he ignores you. You grab his hand, squeezing it nervously.
The girl goes to open the door, and you feel yourself tense up. The dog watches quietly, eyes still set on Eddie. You feel nervous, afraid of what this dog might do to your fiancé if he gets the chance to. But, once the door to the kennel finally opens, its whole personality flips. Suddenly he’s tapping his feet and jumping around playfully as she greets him. When she waves for you to come in, Eddie’s hand slips from yours and he takes a step in.
“Hey there, buddy,” he says in that goofy voice people talk to animals with, “aren’t you just a handsome man.” Killer gets excited, turning in a circle and giving a deep bark. Eddie kneels down to his level, giving him head scritches and ear rubs. “All big and scary on the outside, but you’re just a little ol’ softie, aren’t cha.”
“Sounds like someone I know,” you say sarcastically, taking a step into the kennel crouching down next to Eddie. Killer just about loses his mind when he starts getting attention from two people at once. He’s flopping over on his belly, letting you scratch while Eddie pats him on the chest, playing him like a drum.
The three of you play for a little bit in his kennel. The way Killer carries his toys so very softly in his mouth makes you giggle. And you learn that tennis balls make him lose his shit. When the kennel assistant comes to check on you, you and Eddie look at each other. “Can we get some adoption information?”
On the way home, Eddie wants to stop at the pet store. Killer came with a spiked collar and chain leash, leaving the ladder behind. They gave you a thin lease that they use to take dogs back with in the meantime, but Eddie wanted to start running with him the next morning.
“He’s been cooped up in that kennel for how long? Yeah, trust me, babe,I know that feeling. He’s gonna love running, aren’t cha, Bud?” Eddie reaches into the back seat where Killer pants happily. You’re glad you put a blanket down with how much he’s drooling.
Once inside, you pick out a nice leather lounging collar for the house, and Eddie picks out a good harness for him when you’re out and about. The both of you take Killer down the toy isle and let him pick out some toys, and he goes absolutely bananas as he tries to fit as many toys in his mouth as he can.
When you get to the checkout area, you stop when you see the tag machine. “We should probably get him one of those in case he gets out. Like put his name and our address on it.” Eddie agrees, the three of you standing in front of the machine. Looking through the options, you decide the classic bone shape is the best, and all that's left is to input the name.
Neither of you moves, looking at the little keyboard as it waits for your input. You look over at Killer, then to Eddie, who seems to have the same thought as you.
“Okay so what are we going to call him then?” You laugh.
“Uh, what about…Rex?”
“Rex,” you scrunch up your nose, “he’s not a Rex, right buddy?”
Killer’s ears perk up as you talk to him, almost dropping the duck toy from his mouth.
“How about Kirk?”
You give him a look, “No.”
“Uhhhh, maybe…fine, you got any ideas?” He crossed his arms.
“Hmmmmmm,” you place a hand on either side of Killer’s big head and peer into his eyes. You rub his ears as you think, feeling the density of his noggin in your palms as you look him over. A smile makes it way on your lips, and you look at Eddie matter- of-factly.
“His name is Bear,” you say, standing up straight, facing Eddie.
“Bear?”
“Yep, he told me.”
Eddie looks down to now Bear, stares at him for a moment, and then nods his head. “Yeah, his name is Bear.”
And Bear has no issues when you bring him home. He really was well behaved, knowing a lot of tricks and commands, including bumping his nose on the back door to tell you to let him out. As soon as its time for bed, Bear gets comfy at the end of your bed on his new dog bed. You’re under the covers as you watch Eddie bend down and talk to Bear.
“Goodnight, Bear. I’m sorry you had to be locked up for so long. Your new mommy knows how to make a guy feel at home, though, so I think you’ll be just fine.”

PRNDL! Does Eddie like "AM" or "FM"?
Your thighs clench watching Eddie back the car into a parking spot. His hand on the wheel, his other on the prndl gearshift. His palm flexing on the steering wheel, flat against the leather, a reminder of how it’ll feel on your ass later tonight.
He looks over at you with a smirk, eyes drifting down to your thighs. “See baby, I’d told you I’d fit.”

dirty thirty (@funsonmunson-again's mafia eddie x reader)
Tumblr media
funsonmunson-again's birthday week writing challenge / prompt #24: saving the best for last haha, but birthday spankings with any of the eddies!
happy birthday evie!! thank you for reviving the timeline with your amazing fics. it's eddie's birthday too and he's in trouble...
CW: very much 18+, pure smut, bdsm, use of guns, truly the most depraved thing i've ever written.
Tumblr media
For his 30th birthday, Eddie Munson has nearly just taken a shot to the head... but in your defence, he really fucking deserved it.
Slowly - albeit on wobbly feet - Eddie, Gareth, Jeff and Freak turn around to face you, eyes still wide from seeing the bullet fly past their boss's shoulder. They're stood in a line like naughty school boys in your garden, caught doing something they shouldn't be. Which is exactly what's happened.
You stand in front of the glass doors that lead onto the patio, curtains billowing and light glowing behind you. Flanked by four growling dogs. The light from the house reveals the curves of your body under the sheer babydoll lingerie you're wearing. But no one is looking at the small number, they're cowering at the pistol in your hands and the infuriated look on your face.
'Get inside, now,' you snarl, the dogs' snapping in agreement with you.
At the stroke of midnight, by some miracle of god, the unimaginable happened and Eddie Munson reached thirty years of age. Each year of his life since he hit ten, felt like a bonus. He was sure he'd never see twenty and absolutely certain he'd never meet thirty but here he was. He'd been surprised you let him go out with the guys that night but you insisted.
'Let loose with the boys, then I can have you all to myself in the day,' you'd smirked, clearly hiding something.
The four men left the house at 8pm, promising to be back by 2am at the latest. Yet, by the fourth shot of tequila, that promise was long forgotten as well as Eddie's suspicions that you'd been planning something.
Which you had. Throughout your four years together, it had been near impossible to surprise Eddie. Firstly, his line of business meant he liked to know everything that was going on. Surprises equalled the opportunity for danger. Secondly, you shared your finances - although, in all honesty, his finances, but he enforced a what's mine is yours policy. So, it was hard to splash on something for him, without him noticing when the bills came or his accountant alerting him. But for his thirtieth, you devised enough was enough.
After hearing him murmur to himself so many times about his disbelief he had survived this long. Not only had he survived, but now, with you by his side, he was living. Your man deserved for once to be surprised and spoilt. To reign in a new decade of life together in the best way possible.
Therefore, for the past year you had been plotting. With the help of Eddie's accountant and the boys, you'd secretly been putting money aside. Slicing off a chunk of any 'shopping trip' money, he gave you, and putting into a secret account. The accountants making investments on your behalf throughout the year that also went into the account.
Now, you had a hefty chunk of cash that was being spent on the most devastatingly romantic holiday to France that money can buy. A long glamorous weekend in Paris, followed by a week hiding away together on a private beach in Monaco. The flight was booked for Eddie's birthday, that's why you'd let the boys take him out - so you could pack without getting rumbled. But nothing is ever so simple with a Munson.
At 1am, with still no Eddie, you'd become impatient.
By 2am, you were irritated.
By 3am, you were furious.
By 4am, you were terrified that something awful had happened.
At 4:15am you thought those fears were confirmed as you heard gunfire from the gardens.
Not even thinking how you were dressed in an entirely unsuitable birthday present for Eddie, your instincts kicked in. Taking the pistol out the bedside table and with your precious pups quick on your heels, you ran down the stairs. Brain screaming with all the awful possibilities of what could've happened. No matter how long you've been together, the fear over Eddie's job never truly leaves. You burst through the patio doors and fire a warning shot... and then you see the culprits.
Eddie and the boys, lined up, their own pistols in hand. Before them were (once) law ornaments which they had clearly lined up and started target practice on. Now they were looking at you, the tiny remaining sober part of their brains were doing some explaining. Maybe coming home late and doing target practice whilst you were oblivious and gone alone, wasn't a great idea.
With big blinking eyes, like Bambi in front of headlights, Eddie begins to stumble on his words.
'K-k-kitten, hi... I'm s-sorr-'
'Shut the fuck up,' you snapped harshly. The rest of the guys immediately looked down at the ground.
'Edward, get inside NOW. The rest of you, leave.'
Immediately, the four grown men begin to wobble and scramble. The three that weren't your fiancée, babbling,
'We're so sorry Y/N... we didn't mean to... we lost track of...'
'I don't care. Go, before you're limping as well as swaying and this time it'll be because I've shot you in the fucking leg.'
In a flash, they were gone. You glowered at your now shattered flamingos in the distance before turning to look at Eddie. He was tripping over the entrance to the house when you finally looked him in the eye.
'Baby... I really sorry,' he whispered.
'I don't think you are,' you said coolly, 'go to the bedroom. Now.'
Eddie didn't hesitate, he quickened his stumbling pace. As you locked the doors, you could see him gripping onto Lucifer for stability. Then using Zeus as well once he attempted the stairs. You could hear him unsubtly whispering to them as he climbed the marble steps.
'I've never seen your Mom this mad before.'
It's true, he hadn't and he was petrified. More terrified than he had ever been in a sticky situation during work, he had far more to lose with you. Good job Munson, he grumbles to himself, not even five hours into 30 and you've fucking blown it.
When you finally come up to the bedroom, Eddie is sat on the edge of the bed, throbbing head in his hands. Now he's not stumbling around, he can finally look at you. The pretty sheer dress you're wearing in his favourite colours, pretty bows and ruffles and microscopic matching panties. Your hair is swept up how he likes as well. Everything you've done, as ever, is for him. He feels awful and not because he's drank the best part of a bottle of tequila and a whiskey more expensive than several of his rings.
'You look really beautiful, kitten,' he whispers, big eyes now wet.
But your eyes are still filled with anger.
'How could you, Eddie!' You shout, 'you scared the shit out of me!'
'I'm sorry, I-' he croaks.
'No!' You snap, taking a kitten heel off and launching it across the room. 'No excuses. I've not finished! Can you imagine if I had done that? Disappeared longer than I said and without contact? Then you heard random shooting outside?'
Eddie's blood ran cold at the thought and knuckles white as he gripped the sheets beneath him. If he was in your shoes, a search party would be out and he'd be sick with worry.
'That's what I thought,' you mutter as you see the look on his face. 'You wouldn't let me ever leave without an escort again.'
It's true, he'd never let you leave his side.
'I thought you were...' your facade and your voice finally cracks, 'I've never been so scared in my life!'
Irritated that your mask has slipped, you stomp forward to Eddie. With all the anger in your body, you shove your lean fiancée, causing him to fall backwards on the bed. Eddie stays lying there, not wanting to look up and catch you sniffling. He doesn't want to make it worse. His heart cracks hearing what he's done to you, especially on what is supposed to be a happy day. Especially when you'd clearly planned something for his return.
He clears his throat, wanting to ensure he gets his words out perfectly.
'Kitten, I know. You never would've done this to me. I'm so sorry. What can I do? How do I fix it?'
There's only silence for a little while but he keeps his eyes trained to the white ceiling. Then, he feels your hand hovering on his knee.
'Turn over,' you say firmly but quietly.
Eddie lets out a confused mumble but does as he's told. Right now, if you told him to eat his own shoes, he would. Then, he feels you take an ankle, lifting it so you can begin to take off his boot. Once it's off, he kicks off the other himself. He gulps then, truly unwitting over your plans. Your hands now tug at the waist of his slacks, nails scratching at his back. In attempt to aid you, he raises his hips and undoes his belt and buttons, allowing you to slide them off.
He hears the sound of his eyelashes flutter against the duvet as he blinks, anxiously. Are you just getting him ready for bed? He would like to just go to sleep in your arms right now. Whisper he's sorry and he loves you until you both fall asleep. But that's not what is going to happen.
No, that's definitely not going to happen, Eddie realises suddenly. As before he can even process, you've quickly tugged down his underwear, and have cracked down your palm against his ass cheek. Eddie gasps.
'You're going to feel how angry I am, Eddie,' you say so calmly that a trail of goosebumps prickle down his spine.
'I'm going to do to you, what you would've done to me in this situation... and you're going to take it.'
Crack. You hit his cheek again.
'Do you understand?'
'Yes, kitten,' he barely whispers. He's scared, confused and aroused. Never, ever, have you done this to him before but he doesn't dare protest.
'Good,' your palm soothes over the attacked cheek. It's barely blushing, your own hand nothing in comparison to Eddie's own sprawling ones. He widens his legs so you can stand further between them. He knows right now, he just needs to let you do what you need to do.
Crack. Crack. Eddie gasps. Crack. The fear, surprise and arousal mixed together is intoxicating. His heart is in his throat and his palms are sweating. Each smack, full of raw emotion, sends a zap through his body.
'That's five, Eddie... I'm going to do thirty.'
Eddie's eyes widen.
'If you're going to act like this, at your age now, then I'm going to give you a present deserving of it. So, twenty five to go.'
He's not sure he can last that long in silence, without crying out your name or moaning or worse, popping a boner whilst you're angry. Then, he feels a dip on the bed alongside him. For the first time since you shoved him, he dares to steal a glance at you. Your eyes are dark and looking back at him.
'You should probably sit across my knee. It'll make this easier for everyone,' your voice is unwavering. This new stern side to you is equal parts unnerving and sexy.
Eddie scrambles to his feet quickly and stands before you. You look him up and down, infuriatingly, he looks so good. You'd thought that when he left the house and you couldn't wait to throw yourself at him upon his return. But he ruined it. Now he's just there, a sheepish look on his face, shirt still on but his cock out. You had planned to ride it until you both collapsed, but now plans have been spoilt.
'Take your shirt off and get over my knee,' you sigh. Your voice sounds so uninterested, it makes Eddie's heart pang. He wants to get on his hands and knees and beg for your attention and forgiveness. Desperate to smother you in kisses.
However, he does as he's told. A shiver rippling through him as he rids himself of the shirt. Anxiously, he walks to the side of you and clambers onto the bed and then spreads himself over your lap. He wiggles, following your guidance to get his lap perfectly across your thighs.
'Baby, is this right? Do you need to me to move more?' Eddie asks, desperate to please you.
'S'fine,' you say casually.
But there's nothing casual about the gasp that escapes him as your fingers trail down his back. Small circles drawn into the dimples above his ass. Then one hand trails down to the top of his thigh and rests, whilst another stays on his asscheek. There's nothing for a moment and Eddie feels his heart racing and the anticipation. Until, he feels your soft lips place a peck on the one cheek you'd struck. It gives him butterflies knowing you still want to give him gentle loves.
'That's nice... thank you, baby,' his voice sounds smaller than ever before.
'S'okay, Eds. I'm gonna go again now, okay?'
He nods. Your hand smooths over the untouched cheek, stealing a squeeze.
'This one needs to catch up, hmm?' You coo. Oh god, he thinks, you're playing with him now. Like a cat with a mouse.
Five sharp, consecutive slaps, crack down against the porcelain skin. Each jolting Eddie and causing him to gasp. You squint, wondering if part of him actually enjoys this. So you test the theory.
'Nineteen,' you say.
Then, the hand smacks down, harder than ever before. Hard enough that he knows there's a mark.
'Eighteen!'
This one even harder, your hand clearly coming down from quite a distance. The jolt from the force causes his cock to flop between the gap of your thighs.
'Seventeen! Sixteen!'
Smack. Smack. Both as hard as the last. There's no denying it hurts, but it's also good. Eddie feels good that you're punishing him for scaring you. It satisfies the shame he feels and his body knows it because his cock springs to life. Rock hard now between your soft thighs.
'You're fucking hard?' You scoff, turning the cheeks on his face, not just his ass, bright red. 'Do you not understand that I'm angry? This isn't for your pleasure! Fifteen!'
'Oh fuck,' Eddie cries. Fifteen was the hardest yet and it pushed his body down, causing your thighs to tug at his cock.
'You're sick, Eddie. Getting off on this...' you rake your nails down his back now, causing more moans from him.
'Do you like it? Facing the consequences of your actions for once, baby?' You snarl. Your hands have now reached the base of his neck and tug at some hair there.
'Yes, yes,' he wines. He can't stop himself, he thrusts into your thighs some more. Fucking himself between your plush skin. You're genuinely shocked.
'Oh my god... you really are getting off on this, hmm? Engaged and I'm still learning new things about you. My dirty boy, hmm. Ready for more?'
Panting from thrusting at your thighs, Eddie nods.
'Okay, you asked for it...'
Fourteen. Thirteen. Twelve. Eleven. Ten. Each one is quick, sharp and alternates between each cheek. Eddie snaps his hips, jerking his throbbing cock off in time with your hits. Your own panties are soaked at seeing your big, scary, mafia boss, so desperate and pathetic.
Eddie whelps something you don't make out. You pinch the skin of his hip and ask him to repeat.
'The belt, the belt,' he cries, 'god, please use the fucking belt!'
Your face scrunches up, wondering if he really just said what you think. But before you can process, you feel him shift. His arm stretches out down to the floor. Your questions are answered when he thrusts the belt he had holding his slacks up, behind hisback and into your hands.
Oh, you gasp internally, he really fucking wants this bad.
Tauntingly, you brush the smooth leather across his skin.
'You feel that bad, huh? Understand just how angry I am, Edward?'
'Yes, kitten, please...' he cries, 'please show me.'
At first you hesitate, not wanting to do some serious damage. Folding the belt in half, you bring down the looped end against his bright pink cheek. Nine. The sound is heavier than any your palm could make but you know the sensation is even harsher.
Eddie groans in frustration and shakes his head. He wants it worse.
You tighten your grip and bring it down harder. Eight. Instantly there's lines imprinted on his skin from the edges of the belt. But it's clear that's what he wanted, as his hips thrust ferociously and you feel precum trickling down your calf.
Seven.
Six.
Five.
Eddie is crying your name, fists white knuckling the bed linen. His skin has transformed from magenta to blooms of purple.
'Just five more and then it's the big 3-0, okay?'
He's barely paying attention, so lost in the high, continuously fucking himself in your thighs. You take the belt to the other cheek now.
Four. A warning spank. You lean down and press a kiss each cheek. This is it.
'Say'
Three.
'You're'
Two.
'Fucking'
One.
'Sorry!'
Eddie's cock spurts his load all down your legs as he cries.
'I'm sorry, I'm sorry kitten, I'm so fucking sorry!'
His body trembles on you at the aftershock of such intense touch. Another load of cum squirts out. He sobs real tears, you can tell, into the sheets.
'Kitten. I'm sorry, m'sorry, love you s'much,' he whimpers.
You let both your hands soothingly rub his back and thighs and you lean down to presses kisses to his ass. Perfect porcelain now splattered in purples and pinks.
'I know, Eds. It's why it upset me so much. You're never reckless like that... I wanted you home. Was supposed to be perfect when you got home...'
Eddie can hear that the anger is gone and now there's just a soft sadness in your voice. Ignoring the ache in his backside, he crawls off you, sliding onto the floor. Slotting himself between your thighs as he rests on his knees. Capturing your hands, he kisses them.
'Let me make it up to you, sweetheart,' he pleads. Big brown eyes, red from tears and begging. Letting go of your hands, Eddie takes your knees and pushes them further apart. He reveals his cum still dripping from you thighs. Leaning in, eyes still looks at you, he kitten licks his own spend up.
'You shouldn't have let me cum,' he mumbled against the velvety skin at the apex of your thighs.
'Should've forced me to make you cum, over and over and over... so that's what I'm gonna do.'
You just nod and let Eddie take over. He tugs your soaked panties off.
'These were so cute, kitten. I didn't deserve them,' he sucks at the wet crotch, 'daddy was so bad but now daddy will make it up to you. I promise.'
With that, Eddie dives into your folds. Lapping up the wetness that's been gathering like he had his own cum. That alone makes you sigh, so much of the tension leaving your body. Bringing your thighs over his shoulder, he buried his face further to access to your clit. Latching onto it the moment he finds it. Sucking until you squirm.
'That's it,' he sighs, his voice happy now, 'going to make my girl feel better.' He punctuates each word with a soft kiss to your bud.
It's all parts feral and tender and causes your tense body to flop back onto the bed. Eddie is shortly quick to chase you. With your thighs round his neck, he guides you to lie back against the pillows so he can completely lie down and lose himself in your cunt.
Now his body is fully relaxed, he makes out with your pussy. Going from sucking your clit to lapping at your hole.
'That's so good, Eds,' you coo, hand twisting curls round your fingers. Now, Eddie knows he's on his way to forgiveness.
Forcing your legs a little further, he goes in for the kill. Using the move he knows always makes you crumble. He sucks both his thumbs, letting one come up to toy with your clit and the other drops to press against your tight asshole.
The concentration alone sobers Eddie up. He hears you gasp and cry his name as the thumbs circle each pleasure point. Then he lets his tongue fuck into your hole unrelentingly. Faster. Faster. Your thighs are squirming but Eddie won't stop until you get the release you deserve. The wiggling results into his thumb popping into your asshole causing your hips to jerk and your hand to rip at his hair.
'Jesus fuck, Eddie,' you sob, tears erupting at the overwhelming sensation.
Eddie plunges his tongue as far as he can, along with his thumb in your ass and then tears aren't the only thing erupting. Your little cunt spasms, squirt soaking his tongue and face. Your whole body left trembling as you gasp. Eddie doesn't let on that it causes him to cum against the bedsheets where he'd be gently rubbing himself against.
Wiping his face and licking his fingers clean, Eddie smiles at your fucked out frame.
'That is the best birthday present you can ever get me, kitten.'
Leaving you to catch your breath, he gets up and waddles over to the light switch. His sore cheeks definitely limiting his movements more than the alcohol ever did. The bedside lamp keeps the room in a soft glow as he turns the main light off.
Slowly, he climbs under the covers and into bed next to you.
'Is it... is it okay if I hold you now, Y/N?' Eddie's voice is soft but nerve filled. You turn and look at him, chocolate eyes full of worry still. Nodding, you shuffle under the duvet and into his waiting arms. Lying in a way that you can both look at each other.
'I love you and I'm sorry. I can't imagine how scared you must've been. We got carried away,' he sighs, stroking fallen strands out of your face. Leaning forward, you press a soft kiss to his chewed lips. He melts into you instantly, soul settling to be fully reunited with yours.
'Just... don't do something like that again or I won't let you make it to thirty,' you smile against his lips.
Eddie pulls back and looks at you, wide eyed in shock. 'You see us being 60 together?'
His response makes your brow furrow.
'Yes? Obviously, you silly boy? Eds... I'm marrying you in just a couple of months.' You laugh, pressing another few kisses to his lips. When you look back, his cheeks are flushed like his backside.
'Doesn't seem real still. Don't know how I made it this long, but you wanting to marry me? S'the most unbelievable part...'
You shake your head.
'Best get believing. You're about to experience a week long love fest...'
Eddie cocks his head in confusion and you lean up to peck his cute round nose.
'I think we'll have to bring your ruined ass a cushion though for the journey... filthy boy,' you chuckle causing Eddie to groan and bite his lip.
But your words must finally hit him. Releasing you from his hold, he now waves his arms maddeningly in confusion.
'What the hell, what's going on, woman!'
You chuckle to yourself, knowing you're finally about to pull off a surprise on him. Even at 30, the love of your life, Eddie Munson, still doesn't know how spectacular he is. But it's okay, you've got the rest of your lives to show him.
did you enjoy that? i bet you did, you sick fucks x

This is adorable!!
Originally going to bed, put my phone down…
then rolled over to pick it right back up because I needed to share the idea of Vampire!Reader with her two hellhound werewolves, Steve and Eddie, who guard and watch over her during the day while she’s sleeping, and when it’s a full moon out she takes her shape shifting boys for walkies in the haunted forest just outside their home 🖤
Right as the sun’s coming up and she’s going to sleep, Steve and Eddie are still in wolf form and they heel with their tails wagging, thumbing against the floor, begging and whining to join her in the huge canopy bed that has more than enough room for the three of them.
No dogs on the bed, she reminds them with a glare, remembering the last time she allowed them to do so, she woke up with strands of fur on her tongue, and the last time before that, they brought in mud that ruined her frette linen sheets.
but… they were good boys today, and she can’t say no to those pathetic glossy puppy eyes that make her dried up little black heart swell.
With a suck of her fangs, she sighs, and pats on the bed for them to join her.
“You two are seriously spoiled rotten.” she remarks, as they all lay down to form a cuddle pile.
At the same time, she strokes their soft fur (Eddie likes scritches under his chin, Steve likes it when she rubs his inner ear with her thumb,) until her eyelids grow heavy and she drifts off to dream-less sleep.

This was spicy as hell… I wanna be choked pls lawd
Thinking about Eddie finding out you like being choked…(nsfw 18+ under the cut)
You’re laying on your back, legs hiked around Eddie’s waist. He’s on top, sitting back on his knees, vice grip on your thighs using them as leverage to fuck into you.
He’s watching himself disappear into your cunt, trying not to blow his load so soon from feeling you squeeze him just right and listening to all the sweet sounds you were making for him.
You bury you face into the pillows at that familiar tight feeling growing. Eddie was everywhere. The feeling of him being so deep inside of you, hitting all the right spots, being in his bed all you could smell was him, his quiet grunts and moans when he hits you at that perfect angle, all you could think about was Eddie, Eddie, Eddie.
“Come on let me see you” he coos, slowing his thrusts, lifting his head to watch you struggle beneath him “you gonna cum baby?”
You turn your head back to face him, he’s smiling down at you, heavy eyed and hair sticking to his face from working up a sweat.
“Please Eddie…” you whine and he starts up again, the sound of skin on skin intensifying.
“Fuck- taking me so well sweetheart, always take me so fucking well” he groans, letting go of one of your legs to let his hand roam your body.
He slides it over the curve of your mound, up over your stomach, goosebumps forming where he went. You reach down and gently grab his wrist, guiding him to where you wanted him most.
He lets you place his hand on the expanse of your throat, pupils blown wide as he looks down at you. He wraps his fingers around your neck, giving it an experimental squeeze, making you moan.
Your eyes fluttered shut as you feel him squeeze again, slightly harder, the cold metal of his rings biting into your skin. It was never hard enough to hurt or cut of your breathing, but it was just what you needed, the pressure on each side of your neck providing that rush of pleasure you’d been looking for.
“Open your eyes” he says, voice straining “You look so pretty when I’m choking you, fucking you so dumb, you can’t even think huh?”
You forced yourself to look up at him, a smug grin on his face, you’d never seen him so turned on. You held his hand in place as he started to go faster, chasing both of your highs.
It didn’t take long, watching you stare up at him with glossy eyes, jaw slack as he pounded into you. He could only hold on a few seconds before he lost it, releasing inside of you, you quickly following.
He collapsed on top of you, loosening his grip, but you whined, keeping him in place, the weight of his hand alone just being enough to make you happy.
He huffs a laugh into your chest “if you want my hand around your throat all you had to do was ask.”
Ohh to be choked out by Eddie, I need his hands around my throat rn *sigh*
