I have so many of these I could pick from! In the end I decided on two poses for one from back in late 2022!

This is part of a larger (lyric comic/animatic type) project, and I was running ALL around the house with a camera to get my refs that day. The hardest part of this project was the fact that the standing character is way smaller than me and the kneeling one WAY taller. So I had to play a with scale and proportion a bunch!

#So I am a theater kid and also went to college for literature so a lot of them #The one I read in High School ENGLISH class is Hamlet. #The ones I studied in High School Theater were Macbeth + Romeo and Juliet + uhhh one more I forget but I also did scenework from a few more #In college I took shakespere twice against my will #Anyways we studied Twelfth Night + As you like it + Measure for Measure and then Hamlet + King Lear + Coriolanus #I was also in Midsummer Night's Dream so I've read that one #All this to say Shakespeare is pretty mid #I much prefer contemporary theater #MUCH. #edit i forgot ive also studied tempest and Julius Ceaser in other classes #also posted this on the wrong blog but too many tags to transfer so here it stays

from now on, whenever you see an art style you wish you had, instead of going "oh I WISH I could, I want ALL the art styles and yet I am CONFINED to only ONE, and anyway I am not GOOD enough to do that one!!!", repeat after me: "ooh, I wanna try that later."

like, yes, yearning feels Passionate and Artistic and Emotionally Intense, and by going "I could never do that" you leave the art you love with a kind of Legendary Mystique--as if you are a child watching a magic trick.

but you can also switch your brain to "how did they do that" mode instead and play around with anything you want. you can learn the trick for yourself. and it may seem less dazzling afterwards, but that's the price you pay to make your own magic.

in short, basically, you can do whatever you want forever.

I forget how much I hate that goddamn stuffy theater some days. The court is a bore half the time, but it's expected of me. I like keeping them on theor toes, though."

Working on some body and height refs for my Spire characters! Yes Zero really is that tall, it's ridiculous. Featuring a few of my personal drow headcanons, like the little vestigial "baby legs", and a lack of bellybutton or nipples. (Spot the half-human!) Tits are also vestigial to some degree (as only midwives really need them, and grow them during their transformation), and the wives tale says bigger honkers means more of an affinity for midwifery. TB would make a terrible Midwife thanks for asking.

I've been working on drawing bodies and making them look like real bodies, you know? This was a fun exercise.
