Due to inclement weather, we decided to stay around town this weekend (kinda).
Saturday, we kayaked Lake Woodlands. Honestly, it isn’t much to write home about... which explains why there are no pictures from that. Sunday, on a whim, we woke up 4 am and drove out to Austin to see these beauties. We hiked to Twin Falls, Sculpture Falls, and Lost Creek. We did get there early enough to enjoy Sculpture Falls, for a few hours, before all the people showed up. The weather took a turn for the better around 2 when the sun finally came out for good. An added bonus, we ran into Houston, Mike, and some of their friends. (Houston is my coworker).

n. the strange wistfulness of used bookstores, which are somehow infused with the passage of time—filled with thousands of old books you’ll never have time to read, each of which is itself locked in its own era, bound and dated and papered over like an old room the author abandoned years ago, a hidden annex littered with thoughts left just as they were on the day they were captured.
