Moving had never been an adventure for Ryan. He didn’t own very much. Just a small box with some pictures and a few other things that most people would find insignificant. That box was all he was set on keeping, even when he had to give up everything else. It was placed on the table with his arms around it when the brown-haired girl walked in. “Hi.” Ryan replied, sounding a bit uninterested. It wasn’t anything personal-- Ryan just couldn’t focus. He hadn’t been convinced that this house was his new home; regardless of how nice Stef and Lena were. He wasn’t used to feeling welcomed. He wasn’t used to being greeted. He kept his eyes focused on his hands as he shook his leg vehemently underneath the table. He was anxious, and tired, and he knew that it wouldn’t be long before he wasn’t wanted. If only he could stop thinking so much. “Can... I have some water?” He asked, clearing his throat and breaking the silence. “Please.”

RYAN

Stef and Lena had spoken to the family about having a new person coming into their home the night before, it wasn’t as if it was a NEW situation for them, and the young brunette wasn’t that worried about it, considering she knew that they would find the room somehow.. she was more worried about Mariana and her mental state, considering what she and the family had gone through the past couple of days. Callie had made her way downstairs and over to the table, grabbing herself a seat as she glanced up at the new face sitting across the table from her. Stef must have gone to the station early in the morning to pick him up. The young brunette managed to find her voice.

“ Hey, I’m Callie.”

“Maybe you could have apologized instead of whatever it is that you’re doing?” He replied, a slight smile tugging on the corners of his mouth. “Bless you, by the way. I’m glad you’ve found a nice home for your snot.” 

     ❝ Don’t be so dramatic… ❞ Alexei raspy quiet voice uttered with a slight hint of annoyance, throwing a brief glare as he covered his mouth with a handkerchief to sneeze this time.

“What’s wrong?” Gray repeated, forcing a laugh. “You seem to be a little too interested.” He took a step back as the other male moved forward, trying not to look as unnerved as he was. It was hard to sound serious with a lump the size of a ping pong ball in his throat, and even harder to stay focused on anything other than the boy in front of him. Gray didn’t want any trouble. He just didn’t want to be seen. 

       It was as if the other suddenly wrote on his forehead ‘prey’ and Damien’s instincts awoke. ❝ What’s wrong? ❞ Unavoidably, the ebony haired male approached him with curiosity, hands carelessly resting within the pockets of his own jeans, head slightly tilting to the side whilst leaning forth, avoiding their question.

Jayden spun around quickly; his hand placed over his heart. "Jesus.” He gasped, closing his eyes. “You’re trying to end my life. I knew it. I’m telling.” His voice was quiet as his guard fell, but he couldn’t help but to laugh when he finally gave Dani his full attention. Right under her nose; a big, green booger. “You’ve-- uh, you have a thing.” He pointed, another laugh escaping.

Gray shook his head quickly; his thoughts racing much faster than his mouth would allow him to speak. “It didn’t sound really dumb.” He wished that he hadn’t been so defensive toward her, especially because she seemed like such a nice person. Despite not having the greatest day, and being extremely irritable for the better part of it; Gray pushed all negative feelings aside. "Thank you. I appreciate that.” 

Relieved when she noticed the smile on his face, Thea relaxed a little. “Yeah, I really like them; they’re so cool.” She blushed a little, feeling rather embarrassed by having been caught mere moments ago. “Sorry, that sounded really dumb. I just think the artwork is amazing.”

Gray looked at the boy for a long time; the words delicate flower continuing to echo in his head. He swallowed thickly and bit down on his lip to keep himself from saying the things that he was thinking. “I’m not shy.” He replied, as soon as he found his voice. It was a bit shaky, and his throat felt like it was closing up on him, but he kept a straight face. “Is there a reason you’re here?”

❝ Well, someone here is a fucking delicate flower. ❞ A long yawn came past his lips before taking another drag out of his cigarette. ❝ Don’t tell me you get shy when someone stares at you, babyface. ❞ A bemused grin outstretched his lips.

Plot # 12:  Anywhere But Here (submitted by viva-la)

Muse a is running away from something in their past.Walking along the road because their car broke down, they’re determined to put as much distance between them and what they’re running from as possible. Muse b, driving away from something also, aimlessly wandering or possibly just trying to get to a destination, stops and picks up Muse a. They spend the next few days/weeks/however long getting to know one another, connecting, sharing their lives, crying, laughing, traveling together, doesn’t even have to be a ship, could just be an incredible friendship. and in the end they can part ways forever changed or stick together. however it pans out.
