haven’t posted on here in awhile but i just wanted to say we need to be kinder to our fanfic writers!! they don’t have to put their stuff out for us to read but they do it anyway and give us such wonderful stories. unless a story is about something blatantly horrible (ex: incest or pedophilia and the like), you should just ignore it if it’s not your cup of tea. we don’t have to like everything, but we also don’t have to be mean about it! anyways i’ll hop off my soapbox, it’s just something i’ve been noticing for awhile now and it’s bothered me.

Illustration I did for Harry Birthday. I draw this scene to portray Harry’s 18th birthday, I wanted him to celebrate it instead of letting it silently pass. Considering it would took place 2-3 months after the war, they would be spending most of their time mourning, especially the Weasley. I wanted to give them a window of time, some peace amidst all the funeral they had to attend, with Harry struggling with his role now that he done his “job”, Ron with his family, and Hermione who desperately trying to restore her parents memory. I wanted to give them some time to talk about what happened that day, I wanted Harry, who came out of that forest, to have time to mourn himself, I wanted Ron and Hermione to mourn the brother they lose that day.
The childhood illustration is inspired from welcome to the world of grey by sobsicles .

Every time someone asks me how else did I expect the movies/books to end canonically, I'm like:
??? How did you?
It was so obvious to me, really. And I shipped Harry and Hermione very hard in both movies and books. Doesn't matter that the story lives its own life for me for over a decade now (and I have my own ships that would never become canon endgame). If we're talking canon wise, this is how I always thought it would be appropriate to end.
Even now that I am an adult, this can be platonic, but what they had in that movie? C'mon. The lyrics. All the talks about staying in that forest and growing old together. Emma is right, that dancing scene is one of my fav scenes in the whole series. It's beautiful.
Either way,
"And it was non-verbal. It was like the three of us could communicate without even having to say anything."
The love that they have for each other as people is great.
