there has been a crazy influx of new followers recently and i'm trying hard to get to all of the asks and questions. i'm splitting the load with another mod so if you don't see your questions answered by me, chances are they're marked for her to answer them. i do want to address the tons and tons of asks about team positions and volunteering to work on the project. we can't have anyone else working right now, but this may change in the future. if you want to leave your contact information with me, add my discord and leave a message about the game there: mordegonswaifu i'm usually available to chat there always. i also know we never got round to filling out some faq about the game's plot, characters, etc. and we'll try to get to that soon. tons of asks about "what's the game about?" etc. tho the asks may not be answered directly, we'll put out a statement when new pages are up here that answer the questions.

It’s almost as if nobody wants to admit that they might not be prepared to do the work it takes to love somebody. And it can be laborious. To be intimate with someone who is flawed (which is the standard) requires us to expose our own flaws. We don’t talk about the heavy responsibility of that. We don’t talk about how we’re too lazy or too cowardly sometimes. We instead accuse love of being elusive. It isn’t. It is omnipresent. It asks us to be better people. NO ONE knows how to use thou/thee/thy/thine and i need to see that change if ur going to keep making “talking like a medieval peasant” jokes. /lh

They play the same roles as I/me/my/mine. In modern english, we use “you” for both the subject and the direct object/object of preposition/etc, so it’s difficult to compare “thou” to “you”.

So the trick is this: if you are trying to turn something Olde, first turn every “you” into first-person and then replace it like so:

“I” →  “thou”

“Me” →  “thee”

“My” →  “thy”

“Mine” →  “thine”

Let’s suppose we had the sentences “You have a cow. He gave it to you. It is your cow. The cow is yours”.

We could first imagine it in the first person-

“I have a cow. He gave it to me. It is my cow. The cow is mine”.

And then replace it-

“Thou hast a cow. He gave it to thee. It is thy cow. The cow is thine.”
