They literally told us Alex’s backstory in 1 minute but gave us an hour of the ships sat around a table talking about honeymoons. Please let that sink in.

“sleepinthegardn: Today closes the chapter on a very significant part of my life. A chapter I had never imagined or even dreamt of having written. When I left collage I thought I was headed to NYC (hopefully for some jobs on stage) Little did I know life was actually taking me to Rosewood, Pennsylvania. Where they insisted I would need to do high school for about 6 more years. Life (for reasons that will continue to reveal themselves to me ) made me a Pretty Little Liar. For 8 years. For around 10,000 hours of my life it asked me to be Spencer Hastings. It took me to days where I couldn’t stop laughing, and nights when I wished I could have been sleeping in bed, instead of running in the wet and cold for the umpteenth take at 5AM but somehow we made it through and we had fun even then. Every moment with this cast and crew, in this town, every breath I took with Spencer, every text, dead body, new suspect, terrifying scream, new relationship and “kisses, A” taught me something extraordinary. It taught me patience, and how to approach my craft, how to direct, produce, it taught me about collaboration, experimentation, risk, friendship, family, empathy, sacrifice and above all LOVE. Being Spencer Hastings in this crazy world is something I still don’t quite understand, but I know it was a rare and beautiful gift. A gift that will continue to give for the rest of my days on this Earth. And I wanted to say THANK YOU to all of the people who gave it to me. To all of the people who believed in me and made it possible, to my friends and family who loved me through it and above all to YOU, the fans, who watched, who tweeted, and posted, who theorized, swooned and screamed. We got a lot out of this experience, but I would have been nothing without you. Thank you and I love you all very much. (I love you too, Spencer, you weirdo). Enjoy tonight. I know I will. #pllendgame #spencerhastings”

My problems with the killer reveal.
Okay, so Mona killed Charlotte. I have a lot of problems with how this was presented. Here’s a list:
1. The damn suitcase handle! That was such a huge issue in 6b, with Melissa acting all sketchy about it and someone nearly plowing down Emily in order to get it away from her. What the hell was that all about? Who would want it that badly unless it was the murder weapon?
2. The flowers that Mona had were bright purple. The flowers found with Charlotte’s body were pink and hadn’t bloomed yet. They don’t look marginally the same. And to add to that, why did Mona have those flowers in the first place? And why did they happen to be the same type of flowers that Alison had put out in her house that very evening?
3. Why was Mona trying to recreate the night she murdered Charlotte if she accomplished that the first time? She even says, “You’re not gonna trick me this time.” What does that mean? How did Charlotte trick her that night? That scene in the bell tower implied that Mona hadn’t actually succeeded in killing Charlotte and was trying to do it over.
4. This line makes no sense: “You needed me, just like you needed me to take care of Charlotte after all the terrible things she did. I’m sorry I messed that up. Nothing ever happens the way it’s supposed to with me.” What?! But Mona did kill Charlotte, so she did indeed “take care of her.” What is she talking about?
5. “Not only did you lose the game, but you lost the story,” Charlotte tells Mona. What does that mean? What story?
6. The timeline makes no sense. We know that at some point that night, before Charlotte died, Mona called her from the Two Crows, that was confirmed by Tanner and by a witness at the diner. So how did she know that Charlotte was going to be at the bell tower? Why did Charlotte even go to the bell tower? And what did Mona mean when she said that Charlotte met her there “because she had to”?
7. Charlotte’s body was wiped down before she was thrown from the bell tower, including any DNA under her fingernails. Where would Mona get the materials to do that? And what about that paper Spencer wrote about the woman who was murdered in exactly the same way that Charlotte was? Is that just supposed to be a really specific coincidence?
8. I find it absolutely unbelievable that Mona wouldn’t fess up and turn herself over for Charlotte’s murder in order to save Hanna in 7x01. That is completely uncharacteristic, especially considering she confessed to a murder she didn’t commit back in season four just so Hanna’s mom wouldn’t be convicted.

Aria killed Cece
I haven’t watched the whole of 7x17 yet but I saw the musical clip on YouTube and have just started watching the episode.
In the opening scene, AD says “you either deliver that gift or you’re getting hitched in CELL BLOCK SEVENTEEN”.
Aria’s dream is a musical sequence, that is very much like a scene from Chicago, The Musical, ‘Cell Block Tango’.
These are the lyrics Velma (a lead character):
‘My sister, VERONICA (she’s in Aria’s dream) and I had this double act and my husband, Charlie, traveled around with us. Now, for the last number in our act, we did 20 acrobatic tricks in a row. One two three four, five…splits, spread eagles, back flips, flip flops, one right after the other. Well, this one night we were in the HOTEL CICERO (The Radley Hotel and Cicero College - looking for Mrs Grunwald - Aria was the only liar that wasn’t there), the three of us, sittin up in the hotel room boozin’ and havin’ a few laughs (the liars were drinking in the Radley Hotel, the night Cece was killed) and WE RUN OUT OF ICE (Hanna went to get ice and saw Aria). SO I GO OUT TO GET SOME. I come back, open the door and there’s Veronica and Charlie doing Number SEVENTEEN (AD says “Cell Block 17”) - the spread EAGLE (a type of bird - Drake/Wren). Well, I (Aria) WAS IN SUCH A STATE OF SHOCK, I COMPLETELY BLACKED OUT. I CAN’T REMEMBER A THING. IT WASN’T UNTIL LATER, when I was washing the blood off my hands, I EVEN KNEW THEY (Cece was) WERE DEAD’.
Aria could have killed Cece but may not remember.

Alison is faking her pregnancy.
This is something I’ve gone into at length in my episode recaps, but I wanted to condense some of it into one single post dealing just with this topic.
We’ve known of Ali’s pregnancy for six episodes now, and we have yet to see one bit of proof that she is actually carrying a baby, let alone one conceived from Emily’s eggs.
In 7x10, she announces that she took a pregnancy test, and yet we don’t see it. She’s not holding it when she comes out of the bathroom, she doesn’t show it to Emily, Kind of strange, considering you’d think a normal reaction would be to insist it’s not true and demand to know if Emily could see the two lines on the test as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then Emily arranges to take her to the doctor, to get the pregnancy confirmed. But Ali informs her that she’s already gone without her - and she is indeed pregnant. Why did she suddenly change her mind? Why didn’t she want Emily at the appointment with her? Perhaps because there was no doctor’s appointment, no pregnancy confirmation…and no pregnancy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally, we’ve seen no actual evidence of the baby being Emily’s. Sure, they went to get blood tests together, but I highly doubt the doctor would have felt the need to ensure that Ali really is pregnant beforehand (after all, what kind of person would make this up?). We don’t hear what the doctor has to say about the results. We don’t even actually see the results themselves. Once again, all we get is Ali’s own words, that she got the blood test results and that Emily is the mother.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Three separate instances where the writers easily could have provided some kind of proof, whether through doctor’s words or through a physical piece of evidence, that Ali is pregnant…and they keep choosing not to. Why is that?
Maybe because she’s not actually pregnant. And if she’s not carrying a baby, she’s not going to have one to deliver in nine months, either.
But then why didn’t she just fake having the abortion? That would be the perfect way for her to end the pregnancy without anyone being any wiser.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If there’s one thing Ali loves, it’s being the victim. We’ve seen it time and time again since she returned, back in high school. She loves making herself look helpless, and she loves being coddled and protected by her friends, especially Emily. Getting an abortion would be the opposite of being victimized - it’s taking control of her own life and making a conscious, strong decision.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And that’s not good enough.
There was something very sketchy about that fall in the school. She supposedly got pushed down by someone she conveniently couldn’t see well enough to identify. And yet we didn’t see it happen, didn’t see a shadow pass along the wall or even hear footsteps running away. All we heard was Ali let out a scream and then her sitting at the bottom of the stairs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is absolutely no way anyone pushed her. Mona was all the way at the other side of the hallway, the person Emily heard and ran toward. And why would A.D. even be there? The whole point of that set-up was to distract the girls so Aria could sneak in to Ali’s house and destroy the nursery. There’s no reason why they would be sneaking around the school.
So why fake it? Maybe because falling, especially down the stairs, is an easy way to trigger a miscarriage. And what would be sadder than that? Ali finally gives in and decides to have the baby, to start a family with Emily, and then A.D.’s antics force her to miscarry. Once again, she’s the total victim, the one that needs to be comforted and babied by the others, just as she likes it.
Tumblr media
I will not be surprised at all if Ali ends up “miscarrying” within the next few episodes. You can’t exactly give birth if there’s no baby, after all.
