This Great Blue Heron was stalking its breakfast in the early hours at Farmington Bay. They move so slowly and scan the area looking for movement of any kind. It is pretty amazing to watch.

This Robin had the right idea Sunday. Hanging out in the shade and enjoying the view. We are getting some nice springtime temps now and it felt really good to be out and about.

Went for a little walk in the park yesterday. My first day out in almost a week. The second round of chemotherapy really did a number on me. It was really nice to see so many Cedar Waxwings on our walk.

Pelicans doing the dance. I sat and watched as there 4 swam around bobbing their heads in unison as they searched for food. It was pretty amazing to watch

I saw this Cinnamon Teal Duck taking a little break in the tall grass near the visitors center at Farmington Bay. By far one of the most underrated ducks that spends time here in Utah.

This little song sparrow was singing away, up until I got it in focus. Then it acted like a cat got its tongue. Still a beautiful little bird with a big voice.

A new bird for my life list. The Merlin app called it a Ring Neck Duck, I had never spotted one before and was happy to add it to my list. There were quite a few out at Farmington Bay on Saturday.

Drove out to Farmington Bay yesterday to see what kind of birds were out. Made a new little friend. I had a Long Tail Weasel swim up to where I was sitting, hop up on some rocks and post a little for me. First one I had ever seen there and was happy to get a few shots.

Round two of Chemo Therapy is in the books and so far no new side effects. I’m still more tired than normal. Low red and white blood cell counts could be the cause of that. Might go for a short drive just to get out of the house.

I had heard the Willet’s had come back to Antelope Island. They mainly hangout along the shore to feed. Corey and I we’ve very surprised to spot this one along the road hanging out on some brush. It didn’t appear injured and didn’t try and fly away as we stopped for some photos.
