i say it a lot but anakin's "unmasculine" traits are so important to me. he's both a cool tough guy who also gets to cry and be emotional and be so openly in love and wants a family more than being a fighter. and despite being punished for these traits in the order he's in he is eventually validated by the narrative because what he had to suppress as vader was passed down to his son. his love saved the galaxy. i could even make an argument that the stoic jedi order is an allegory for toxic masculinity but i won't go that far today
