I know shit is getting real rn but this panel right here. this shit is so funny for real. can you even imagine the kind of day Rob Lucci is having?
you're a govt assassin on a mission to kill the smartest man in the world. oh by the way there are seven of him now. uh huh, ok sure. whatever. you get there and you immediately run into your archnemesis, the little bastard who handed you an almost-career-ending beating two years ago in front of god and everybody! except now he's jesus or something but also a cartoon character and he makes his head really big and tries to eat you(!!) plus your coworker is a clone sleeper agent who knocks your ass out and ties you up. then the people you're supposed to be killing untie you to help them fight some rogue invincible cyborg superweapons, so you just bide your time and try to do your job as best you can but when you make your move your nemesis IGNORES you and you end up fighting his right-hand guy. and you think you're giving this guy a workout, really making him sweat, you're doing your whole Evil Guy Monologue about how you're keeping him busy but turns out he was just fucking around the whole time and one-shots your ass the moment his buddies start roasting him for taking too long. and THEN this terrifying demonic bird creature lands in front of you, squawks out your name, rank and social security number and starts asking for an update on the sitrep and you're like oh. oh. this bird monster is my boss. okay. a lot to process here.

The more I think about it, the more I realize that Rob Lucci is actually insane. WHY did you pretend to be a mute who can only communicate through a bird??? Why was that a key part of your civilian disguise???
I mean, I'd get it if he were a public figure or had an otherwise incredibly distinctive speaking voice, something that the public might recognize, but he's literally just some seemingly regular guy with a normal voice.
AND ALSO he continues to carry the bird after his cover was blown and it's implied that he always had it before he went undercover. What the hell, right? Dude, it is so much more suspicious to continue to carry your iconic bird and pretend to speak through it than it would've been to just leave the bird at home.
In conclusion, he is an absurd and beautiful man.
