Hiii I’m undecided bc I’m playing through origins rn but I miss eivor so I wanna play Valhalla but I wanna restart odyssey bc I loved it and Ofc I miss kass 😵‍💫

I’m  SO HAPPY with the Behind the Scenes. Yes, they talk about male Eivor. But it’s made abundantly clear she was originally intended to be female, and male is an iteration of her. There’s multiple instances of proof, including “the creation of Eivor.”

And yes, they talked about how she’s based on Mad Max (I would guess personality, but also VERY MUCH appearance, as Eivor reminds me so much of Charlize Theron when her hair is short) and Major Motoko Kusanagi (likely the personality, but also her being female is not her defining trait. She is a “she,” but her femininity is neither here nor there for her character, as opposed to what she does and how she leads).

Major point being: Eivor’s story was always a woman’s story. It’s just that her story isn’t the caricature of womanhood and femininity that AC fanboys and pickme’s expected from a female protagonist. As if it was the first time a protagonist was not created solely with the male gaze in mind, as opposed to being inspired by others that already were built that way.

You know…like it’s almost a thing that women can exist without first fitting boxes to count as one.

This post is a giant “eff you” to those who tried to make such a claim earlier this year.

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while I was on a staycation for a while but I also have bad news I won’t be able to post pics of eivor for a while as all my saves got corrupted so that’s fun 🤩 I’m undecided if I’m gonna bother to play it again. I will someday but I had over 120 hrs and completed it so I’m pretty bummed tbh 😓
