Hello there! I’m Leona! | fun sideblog to put my rottmnt au content on and keep it somewhat organized | This au is set around the Rebels Series time period! | Asks are always open! I’d love to hear your ideas or requests! | Art here has ID in alt | Tcest DNI This ain’t for you! |[Icon ID: A digital drawing of April O’Neil, wearing a sage green jacket with a yellow undershirt and holding a blaster at the ready. She’s in a ship’s corridor, the hint of a confident smile on her lips as she looks towards something on her left. I was looking though my files and decided to clean up a few sketches I forgot I’d made :D
(The following image descriptions are in order! They’re also in Alt Text)
[ID: Mikey crawling through the vents, saying “I’m almost there guys!” into his comm. ]
[ID: Donnie and Leo as kids, standing on the kitchen. Donnie is looking delightedly how Splinter’s cookie box shakes all the way up in the shelf while Leo is using the Force to try and get in down. ]
[ID: At the top, a sketch of Donnie’s face. He has a mischievous look in his eyes as he plans how to break into an imperial facility. Next to it, there’s a concerned Raph muttering “My Raph senses are tingling” to himself. On the bottom left, a sketch of Raph, looking serious as he speaks into the comm device in his hand, which is projecting the Fulcrum logo in blue light. On the bottom right, Donnie is in the pilot seat, bracing the controls tightly and shouting “Everybody hold on to something!!”]
[ID: A happy Mikey balancing 3 meilurrons, one stacked one on top of the other, on the tip of his snout.]
[ID: A togrutan Inquisitor holding a nervous Donnie hostage, their red lightsaber at Donnie’s throat, while Leo stands tense, trying to find a way to get his twin out of danger. The Inquisitor asks “Now, padawan—where is your Master?”]
I’ve seen people liking the first post I made back when I had no idea how to draw the turtles so for my last post of 2022 I decided to give the world more Leo with lightsabers. Happy New Year’s Eve!
In this sonification of Perseus. the sound waves astronomers previously identified were extracted and made audible for the first time. The sound waves were extracted outward from the center. (source)
The other Force wielder brother. Like Leo, Force-assisted acrobatics are a must, and telekinesis through the force comes easier to him. However, his sensitivity to other living beings emotions take his empathy levels off the charts (for better or worse) and also allow him to connect more easily to animals or other non-sentient creatures.
The kyber crystals in his nunchuncks used to belong to a Dark Force user Splinter (and his family) had to face when Mikey was 11. After the fight was over, Mikey felt the pull of the kybers dissonance and purified them (with his dad's help). He wanted some cool, new lightsabers and with Donnie’s help he managed to fashion his nunchucks (learning to use them took… a lot of practice and accidental burns, unfortunately)
Mayhem loves him (as do most of the animals he interacts with)
Because he has such an enhanced hyperempathy, areas with large populations tend to overwhelm him. Since his Force signature is also strong enough to be recognized if the wrong people (read: inquisitors) are around, whenever they need to go to big, popular cities, Mikey has to stay on the ship (or away from crowds). (He doesn't like it but alas—)
One of the Inquisitors develops a twisted interest in him when they first meet (kind of like the Second Sister had with Ezra in Rebels). His brothers are ready to beat that bitch to a pulp though, overprotective instinct just taking complete control (nobody touches their baby brother).
Him and Leo have an extra level of unspoken understanding through the Force. Although the four brothers fight perfectly as a team, these two have such a flawless rhythm in fights that it’s almost kind of spooky.
He has a lot of Ezra energy, eg. he uses the vents whenever they need to infiltrate someplace/he gets captured, collects the helmets (for his own art projects), wears orange, etc.
Leo’s a Force wielder! He tends to lean more to the physical use of the Force, eg. jumping, acrobatics, flips, and on Force healing. Although Splinter had had little experience on the latter, Leo’s natural knack for it made learning about it a bit easier and a true lifesaver when the turtles started sticking it to the Empire more actively and landing into trouble with various galactic criminals.
He can use the Force to move objects around, obviously, but he usually has a bit of trouble focusing on the flow of it (meditation exercises aren’t exactly his strong suit). Mikey’s the one more attuned to the emotional/spiritual side of the Force.
When he turned 12, Splinter took him to the nearest Jedi temple he could find so that he could get his first kyber crystal. By the time he turned 14, Leo felt the pull of another one, and it was as if the last piece of his fighting style had clicked in place. Donnie helped him find all the pieces he needed to assemble his lightsaber, as well as some designs that he could model them after (his twin found the whole lightsaber business fascinating)
Donnie might be the best pilot they have, but Leo’s unstoppable when it comes to driving speeders or any other surface vehicles. He may or may not have landed himself in a few... dubiously legal pod racing tournaments a couple times.
Not the best shot with a blaster but he manages the top gun of their ship when they’re in pursuit.
Great strategist. When the turtles eventually end up joining the Rebellion he usually helps coordinate bigger plans or missions and most of them go out without too much of a hitch.
