It's no secret that the only reason that I have a Tumblr is to keep up with @taylorswift and be a part of the community of swifties and tonight I couldn't be prouder of that affiliation. Every time I think that there's no way that she could possibly be braver or stronger or more incredible she finds a way to completely floor me. Over and over again she finds a way to be there for us in our darkest times. The overwhelming amount of courage and vulnerability that Taylor showed by sharing with the world what is visibly painful and personal in order to bring us together while we are all apart leaves me in awe. Every time I hear that song my heart breaks for her and I say a prayer for both her and Andrea and send my love to wherever they are.
There is no end to the love that I have for this person who I have never met but has selflessly shared her talent and life with me in a way that makes me feel that I am not alone. In this incredibly difficult and scary time where the entire world is unrecognizable and our futures uncertain she reaches across the globe to help us feel the desperation and hope that we all need to process what is going on in a way that only she can.
Thank you Taylor, I recognize and appreciate how difficult that was for you and hope that in some small way to be there for you too.

Of course for those of us who have always been fans none were a surprise. This girl has already been genuine and transparent to those actually paying attention. It's sad to see the pressure she puts on herself and the loneliness her fame causes so I hope she also sees the way that she changes the world for the better with every word she writes by connecting with each individual.

It's been years but my love of all things Taylor has brought me back to Tumblr. I can't even begin to describe how incredible this new album is. Death by a thousand cuts and lover don't just perfectly describe these relationships but they feel like them. Cornelia street without ever saying it describes perfectly the feeling of anxiety about losing someone to the point that you know there would be no hope of recovering or replacing that relationship. I have always admired @taylorswift courage in sharing very personal parts of herself with us as part of her art but Lover has a boldness and a freedom that rises above the rest of her catalogue.
I paid off my car recently, it took me 8 years and a lot of hard work and the feeling that that car is finally mine is exhilarating. I can't even imagine what it must feel like to have your life's work full of very personal Revelations and years on the road and in the public eye taken from her by someone that has disrespected her and that work. The fact that this is an acceptable practice in the music industry is unfathomable. Especially for those artists that pour their hearts and souls into their art and sharing it with others. Big machine would be nothing without the work that Taylor did and for rich men to make themselves richer on her legacy is disgusting.
Lover is truly special. There isn't a moment on the album that I don't want to hear over and over again. Thank you @taylorswift , for having the courage to share your gift with the world and help myself and others process our feelings and stand up to those who would take credit for others blood, sweat and tears.
