Johnny lost. I saw that coming. The kid died. I saw that coming too. I'm glad Lucy killed Dio and sealed up the corpse, but after 80 years what's going to happen? She won't be around to do anything about it... At least she and her husband are okay. I'm shocked that much went right. They weren't totally broke after he gave away all his money, were they? Big thanks to Zerce on Reddit, who says: "Ooh! I can answer this! In horseback riding, you don't use your hands to stay on the horse, you use your legs. Your hands are for steering the horse. As for how Dio is still steering it after letting go, he probably isn't. A horse is smart enough to run forward on its own and not run into things. It wouldn't take Dio too long to do the match thing anyways, assuming he's doing it in the brief period he's stopped time in the first place." So THAT is the thing I learned from reading Chapter 92.

And it's official, the Zeppeli is a statistic. I totally should have put money on this. I didn't know Johnny would exploit a dying horse to power himself up (or just HOW that happened). But at least I had fun watching Valentine get more and more upset as gravity attacked him forever and ever. Father Pucci would be proud. The bastard. And then we have to sit through the President's Tragic Backstory. I guess it had to come sooner or later. And he's using his dead daddy's property to trick Johnny. I know he just handed over free heals, but I STILL don't trust him. I also noticed how he's only saying he'll spare Johnny and Gyro, with no word about what will happen to Lucy. Table of Contents

Volume 21 Retrospective

I was shocked to see the Steels hadn't died yet. The old man tried. But in Chapter 81 I said I'd give them three more chapters. As of Chapter 84 Gyro Zeppeli is a statistic, which should shock no one, and unable to protect anything or anyone. So it looks like they're finished after all, it just took a little longer. I will acknowledge that Gyro did well to exploit physics enough to attack through Love Train. But Zeppelis gonna Zeppeli, and for whatever reason this one couldn't be assed to just go into the light and fix himself up. No more ball-master means all Valentine has to do now is switch with one that hasn't been damaged. Oh, and finish off Johnny. (There are fifteen chapters titled D4C. For a year and a half just that particular chunk of the story was going, and it looks like we're still in for several more chapters in which Valentine refuses to die. I wonder how crazy it drove people who were reading along month by month?) Table of Contents
