Summary: Meeting your best friend Marie at your local nightclub turns out to be a more exciting night that you had originally planned. Especially when your favourite doorman is on duty and doesn’t take his eyes off of you all night.

A cold chill whips through the summer air as you step out of the cab, quickly leaning inside the window to pay the driver. It doesn’t take long for you to approach the steps of the club, it’s a small but popular place. A place which had been quickly growing in popularity, largely thanks to the hot staff it had recently acquired, both inside and outside of the establishment. At least that’s what you had heard, however, you and your best friend Marie had been coming here for years before the change.

A small smile slips onto your lips when you spot your favourite bouncer and doorman, right at the front of the crowd standing on the very first step. He’s looking as handsome as ever, light brown hair styled just so, green eyes that are practically shining with that bad boy twinkle when he winks at you.

It’s like he’s still got that vibe of authority around him. People respect him, people listen to him when he talks, people are looking up to him. She’ll never get used to that, because even though Dean can be acting all though, he’s really just the softest when he’s with her. 

It’s when they walk out into the parking lot that she has to ask, “Where are you taking me?”

“You’ll see.” He says, looking back and there’s a huge smile on his face.

He walks to his car, opens up the door to let her get in and she hesitates, “You’re the best man, I don’t think you should be leaving now.”

“It’s over, we ate, we drank, people can have a good time without me,” Dean explains, “Besides, Cas knows and he’s okay with it.”

Summery: Being the babysitter for the Ackles family had been nothing but a pleasure, but when Jensen comes home from work in a bad mood the reader finds out just how much her boss loves her short skirts and despises her ex boyfriend showing up at his house.

The front door slams open and you can’t help but flinch where you sit on the couch, the sound echoing through the large halls of the house. There was only one person it could be, with the kids’ mother being away on business. However, Mr. Ackles hadn’t been in the best of moods when he’d left for work this morning. Now you thought about it, he’d been in a terrible mood for days. 

Luckily the kids were in bed, fast asleep. So you only hoped that he hadn’t woken them up. 

Slipping out of the living room, you head towards the front door, where you find him kicking off his boots and hanging up his coat. He doesn’t speak, so neither do you, deciding it might be best that way.

She stirs underneath his arm that’s draped over her. She’s awake and he wonders for how long. Wonders why she didn’t say anything. 

His face is right in the junction between her shoulder and her neck. He breathes in and it doesn’t smell like her. It still smells like sterile disinfection and hospital. 

“I’ve missed you.” He says then, because it’s true.

One of her hands comes up to stroke at his arm. He can feel the hair on it standing up, little goosebumps spraying over his body.

“How many more times do I have to say it, Dean!?” Y/N yelled, exasperation evident in her tone. “I can look after myself. You don’t have to treat me like I’m made of glass every time we’re on a hunt!”

She yanked her arm out of Dean’s grasp as she stomped down the iron staircase into the bunker. Throwing her duffel bag down onto the war room table, she turned to the green-eyed hunter close on her heels.

“Okay, okay, I was only trying to help. No need to bite my head off!” he snapped back at her, holding his hands up in surrender. “I just - you know, can’t handle the thought of you, you know, getting hurt,” he sighed, stumbling over his words as he ran his hand through his hair. “Look, I know you can look after yourself, but when you’re in danger instincts kick in and I just - well, need to protect you.”

“This is exactly the reason why I have always hunted alone,” she began, throwing her arms in the air in frustration. “Because I’m a woman, no one in the hunting community has ever taken me seriously. But when I met you and Sam I thought I’d finally been accepted,” Y/N huffed, picking up her duffel bag and throwing it over her shoulder. “I need a shower,” she mumbled, walking towards her room.

Dean’s invited for dinner at Anna and Cas. Right after Y/N left, Cas stayed behind for a bit because he was worried about Dean. It was hard to get out of the funk but Dean also mainly did it for Cas. He didn’t want his friend to be worried about him. Anna and Cas have moved out of the city, pursuing the happiness Dean still chases.
